Top 10 Fantasy High Dog Names

Based on how good they are as dog names, not how good the character would be to name a dog after.

10. Penny - Just a solid one. The Penny Luckstone golden retriever energy never ends.

9. Pok - Very cute, particularly for a dog with goblin vibes.

8. Baxter - Nice name that draws to mind Sandra Lynn’s faithful griffin.

7. Buddy/Bucky - You can’t tell me that these are different enough to separate them. They’re both ideal dog names.

6. Nara - Kristen was right. That’s a dog’s name.

5. Jawbone - Good name for a tough dog, hilarious name for a very not tough dog.

4. Tracker - I don’t think I need to explain this one.

3. Mr. Gibbons - This one isn’t as obvious as the others, but I just think this would be the cutest name in the world to give a dog. Though, perhaps slightly cursed given the character’s fate.

2. Digby - It’s a good dog name AND it has a dog pun inside. Dogs do famously love to dig. 10/10.

I’m fascinated with how this season recontextualized Fig’s greatest fear being a perfect image of herself. It’s not just about feeling inferior to people’s perception of her. It’s also being confronted with a fixed identity. She’s more comfortable being defined by what she isn’t than what she is.

Headcanon that Fig was just as much of a wonderful nightmare when she was preppy. I think she ordered frappucinos with a pump of every syrup. I think she tried that get the cheerleading coach to shoot her out of a cannon as part of the routine.
