Suppose you find someone as careless as yourself. Someone who gives you all the reasons to be happy and no reason to look back and regret. Meeting Namjoon felt as if you finally had done something right like every heartbreak and ache was worth it because, in the end, he's what you got. And although you were so far from perfect, you loved every bit of it. His company was what you craved in the middle of the night. He was the one you missed every time you see something you knew he would like, and he was the one you'd sing songs to, knowing you what it to be about your love.

He made love what it was meant to be; easy and free. He was beyond what you thought you deserved but he never made you feel it to be so. He was caring, gentle, and most of all thoughtful. He was the type to show up at your doorstep with a cup of coffee and a tulip in hand just because. He would insist on staying up late when you had work to finish even when he was tired or when you told him you'd be okay. He was the type to snuggle up to you first in every argument and would say sorry immediately, not wanting to make you feel unloved. He was perfect, and you were so in love with every piece of being that he is.

"My love," He walks into your shared room with a bright smile, you return the joy he had with a beam on your face as you opened your arms out to him. "Baby!" You squeal. He softly dives into your hug. You wrap your arms around his bare body as he lays his head on your chest. He smelled so nice, fruity to be exact. It was about 10 in the evening. He had just come out of his home studio after finishing a track he's been telling you about that he had in mind. It was a mellow tune, you loved it of course, as you did all his other tracks. "How are you? I haven't seen you since 10 in the morning" You say burying your nose in his hair. "I know, I'm sorry I was too busy. But I've been fine. I finished it, by the way, I was also able to send it to Yoongi-hyung. He told me he'd give it a listen by this week". He was calm now. His tone as he spoke was lax.

He always tells you how you made him feel comfortable. He often calls you his safe haven, especially when he lays on you like this. The way your fingers lazy drew circles on his back and the way you would play with his hair often kept him sane. He loved you, and more than you think he did.

"That's good. Now you can get some rest." You whisper, planting a soft kiss on his head. "You are my rest" He mumbles making you giggle. "So cheesy". He laughs. Soon the room falls comfortably silent as you two take the time to just be present and in the moment with each other. You watch him slowly drift asleep. His slow breaths and quiet snores were background noise to you as you let your fingers get lost in his hair trying to keep him as comfortable as possible.

Easily, Namjoon is the love of your life. He was your soulmate, although he often argued that those don't exist, but, you begged to differ because to you, he was yours, and he will always be. You watched the clock as you had a little countdown in your head, excited for what was bound to come as soon as it struck twelve.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1.." Your eyes fall on him, he was fast asleep in your arms. You smile, planting a soft kiss on his forehead. "Happy Birthday" You whisper.
