Luke Castellan and Perseus Jackson are the same person different fate. Luke's life was a tragedy and Perseus an epic and it was no ones fault but the gods, using them as lifeless puppets despite being fully functioning people. Even though they shared the same ideology, the gods are terrible and deserve to be held accountable ,they went about it in different ways, leading to their hatred for each other even though again, they are the same in so many ways.

ok ima be honest i really REALLY like how they portrayed the luke reveal in the show

like when i was reading the books i just thought "wow luke's a traitor and a jerk"

but while watching the show i was like "wow luke's been betrayed by people he's forced to worship and is trying to revolt against it in an improper way which makes him an antagonist despite trying to do an objectively good thing"

and i think thats like REALLY important to his character because hes SO much more complex than just a traitor

no cause ep 7 of the pjo show actually hurt me because percy views sally's actions as her not wanting him around but in reality shes doing it because she loves him and keeping him would be selfish

and percy might even think that her sending him away all the time is the selfish thing because shes "not willing to take care of him" despite him loving her and trying to do his best for her and that hurts even MORE

and poor sally has to distance her self from her son constantly with the inability to explain why because of something that isnt even her fault and she has to deal with the fact that he thinks she doesn't want him around because he's a "burden" even though thats the opposite of what she thinks but she can't express that because it would put him in more danger then he's already in and she'd have to distance her self from him EVEN MORE

AND she has to live with the fact that percy will go through awful things and suffer but there will be little to nothing that she can do about it

she can't even be sure if he'll survive every summer because he's a demigod constantly going on life-threatening quests and she rarely gets to see him to check up on him

WE LITERALLY SAW THIS IN SON OF NEPTUNE BECAUSE HE WENT MISSING AND LITERALLY NO ONE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM!!
