Crazy ex girlfriend is an important show

I tried to explain the plot of crazy ex girlfriend to my friend and they cut me off to explain how the idea of a mentally ill woman pursuing a guy who is in a relationship is "ableist", until I explained that the writer herself has BPD and it was comedy exploring those themes.

But that got me thinking what version of mentally ill was she thinking of? What is the right way to be mentally ill?

In retrospect, the only stuff she's seen on mental illness is depression and anxiety.

Fast forward to now she relates to Rebecca so hard. She's just heard the list of symptoms of BPD and she's noticed how many symptoms she has but had never looked further than depression.

Almost every depiction of mental illness I've grown up with was either watered down to comfort the audience or to sensationalise and demonise mental illness. Crazy ex-girlfriend is one of the only shows that has empathy, for almost everyone on the show no matter their size, their financial status, age, gender ect. And that's why it's important.

So I re watched gotham and- why did anyone date Ed? How did he get 3 girlfriends, a mafia sugar daddy and a fangirl in this show??? And he tried to kill all but one of them and succeeded with Kristen.

Dude jim had 3 girlfriends and lost 1 to Nygma-

This isn't even a complaint or a plot hole I just want to know how bad Gotham's dating pool is for Ed to seem like boyfriend material

I had a merlin dream where Arthur found out about Merlin's magic and exiled him only to go out looking for Merlin after realising he's the only reason why Camelot hasn't blown up.

Meanwhile merlin became a successful florist and is relaxed for possibly the first time ever. Also it was a dream so merlin was wearing a SpongeBob shirt and Gwen was walking through the walls.

Homophobic Gotham fans insisting that Oswald probably wasn't actually in love with Ed and must have confused platonic love for a crush due to his loneliness are hilarious to me. I think we should start treating straight couples in the show this way. Bruce didn't actually fall for Selina, he was just too traumatized by his parents' death and she was the only one who happened to be around. Must have been a lone orphan wishing for a sibling thing. Butch and Tabitha? They were only an item because no other person in Gotham had shown interest in Butch and he didn't know any better. Jim and Lee? Just a silly rebound after Jim's breakup with Barbara, if he wasn't so lonely during that time he would have realized that all he needed was a good friend (he and Harvey weren't so close back then). Et cetera

I get what OP is trying to say but in regards to bullying this way of thinking doesn't always help.

I used to tell myself this everyday. It didn't make things better because trauma should never had been an excuse to hurt others.

Some advice to those dealing with bullying/trauma from bullying:

•tell someone you trust. It could be a friend, an adult or a hotline.

•If you need a place to vent and if you don't feel comfortable talking to someone then write it out in a notebook/dairy- it could be a rant or just a few words.

•Be kind to yourself. Drink water, eat and take regular showers/baths when you need to (count the bottles and set reminders if you need to).

•Try to compliment yourself every day. Get a calendar and write a compliment for yourself each day. If you can't think of one then write a good thing that happened to you instead or give yourself a treat to write about. It sounds weird but you deserve as much love as everyone else.

•Eventually you will find yourself in a better social situation but that isn't always the end of the story. You may still need to work on yourself whether that's finding support, learning healthier coping mechanisms or finding good therapy.

•The simple act of self-love, self-awareness, and kindness won't fix them but that was never your duty to begin with.

•It could take a while to heal, but the small steps each day will lead to what you need to be for yourself. And whatever that may be will be beautiful and unique.

I learnt all this the hard way and I'm still learning how to heal.

I solely believe the reason why the merlin fandom refuses to die is that we are all collectively waiting for Arthur to wake up and crawl out that lake

My Jim Gordon hatred + Ivy deserved better

One of the moments in the show that always strikes me as really gross happened in that episode where Selina thought Ivy straight up died and bruce agreed to help find her.

Bruce tells Jim he was helping to find Ivy and jim was just like "How long have you liked Selina?" and Bruce got flustered.

Selina meanwhile thinks her best friend is dead because she failed to protect her and is probably reliving ptsd from Bridget's (firefly) death as that too was a result of Selina helping a mob boss.

I know other characters said the same but Jim is a detective. He shouldn't be playing matchmaker when a 12year old is missing.

Jim would never do that if Bruce was in danger.

What makes it worse is when you think that Ivy lost both her father bc of jim and bullock in the first episode causing her mother's suicide.

Even though her parents were assholes Ivy never found the truth that her father didn't even kill the Waynes. Bruce only found out the truth bc Jim informed him that it was a cover up. But Jim never told Ivy. Nor did they ever apologize for killing her dad and subsequently her mother.

How to give Oswald a penguin army in the sims 4

If you go to the sims resource and search penguin you will find this toddler costume to download.

Then go to sacrificial mods and download the deadly toddler mod and now the penguins can commit crimes 🕶️🐧

The best part is any sim can interact with a penguin bc they are toddlers (e.g feed, pick up, teach to potty train). Thus Oswald can and should cuddle his birds.

Bonus: some of the animation for the costume is glitchy so sometimes your penguin's legs will just EXTEND. this is temporary.
