1. Aside from having 21st as your core subject, why do you think it is important to study literature?

Answer: According to the Dictionary, Literature is a collection of written work and used more narrowly for writings specifically considered to be an art form, especially fiction, poetry, and drama. Nowadays literature has expounded in different ways. Now, Let me explain why Literature is important, First, Literature is all about written works, speaking of written works you can improve your vocabulary and your reading skills. Maybe one day you can form a kind of literature that can bring impact to the readers. Second, Literature talks about history the common meaning of history is bringing back the past. In Literature it allows a person to step back in time and learn about life on Earth from the ones who walked before us. We can gather a better understanding of culture and have a greater appreciation of them. We learn through the ways history is recorded, in the forms of manuscripts and through the speech itself.

2. “Literature teaches us to be empathetic and human” what does this line means?

Answer: Literature comes from a written works, Through this we can go back to the past. People can be empathy and human when they read some certain fiction books and etc. because the literature puts the reader into another person’s shoes.  Having empathy for others leads people to socialize more effectively, solve conflicts peacefully, collaborate better in the workplace, behave morally, and possibly even become involved in making their community a better place. empathy for others, readers can feel a greater connection to humanity and less isolated. A reader can relate to the literature to the things they experienced or not experienced. And lastly literature tells the story about the people reading it, that there are times that we feel that, we are attached to the written works

Shattered ( a narrative essay)

Everything in life has different ups and downs. But Nowadays, when we hear the word "heartbreak," this word changes a person on who he/she is. Some of us thought heartbreak happens in relationships that are apart. That will deepen the wounds even more as it hurts. This story I'm about to tell is a testimony from a past heartbreak. It is a story 11 years ago that a kid and his mom enjoyed life as it is. Despite the trials of being a single mom who is obliged to take care of her child, the critical part is every time the child smiles, and her days are like a rainbow that is full of colorful moments. There are times that the child and his mom spent hours going to the mall after school, even there is a bad situation because of poverty. She is trying her best to make her son happy. After few days, the child goes to school to study, and one activity that the teacher gave the class is "make a drawing who makes you special." The thinking little child already has someone in his mind, which is his mom. After few minutes of making different shapes, colors, and making doodles, We hear a strange phone call from our teacher, and the person speaking on the phones must panic so much that every child in the classroom was scared on anxious about what's going on. Then the teacher heard a piece of sad news and told who the person behind the bad news is. And the teacher talks to a child and explains what happened. The child was not aware of the situation until he realizes that his mom has a bad accident that almost take her life. Suddenly the caller comes to the school and takes the child and teacher to the hospital. Luckily the heavens answered every prayer given, and the mom was ok. Until midnight, a doctor shared terrible news about her condition that she needs surgery to amputate her two legs. The child was not aware because he lives with his teacher. After all, the mom told the teacher to take care of the child. After the surgery was finished, the teacher told the child what happened, And the child has an emotion that he cannot express clearly. There is a time when he is quiet and takes his time alone, crying at midnight and cannot sleep. A day goes, and the child changes. He lost his happiness and felt terrible for what happened to his mom. During the hospital visit, his mom is so sad and sorry for what happened. Despite that, the child also felt terrible, but he wears a mask to smile despite his worry. After few years, the child went to elementary, and he changed from his old ways. He is once a victim of bullying that almost affects everything in school and family relationships. Because of the abuse, the bullies tell the child about his mother's condition, He had no choice, and he didn't say what was happening to him because he doesn't want his mom to feel bad. Those battle scars he had are the thing he remembers a lifetime. Up until now, this child is up again to his battle. Although there are times he falls, he tries his best to stand up on two feet. That's heartbreaking. I'm going to share, and I hope this child will always be strong.

Thoughts about the quote written by Federico Lorca

The quote is written “To burn with desire and keep quiet about it is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves. Honestly, Let me bring back the past. The times where we are all born, the times we are just getting started, and the times we have our first walk, first written letter in our dirty notebooks, and first happiness that we receive that we are eager to bring back. Each of us have differences, we have different satisfaction, desire, passion, love and this is one of the reason why we go on. Although there are quotes about positivity and there are times that we are reminded we should not let our guard down. There are still times that we felt pointless of what are we going to do. There are times that we let go of the things we really love and won’t let go for the sake of the society saying “You are not worthy for that spot”, How many times that people will judge you? Everytime in our lives. That’s how society works even though we feel uncomfortable. We are born to go over obstacles in this world full of imperfections, why let go of things we have desire for when we can try our very best until we reached the goal, why listen to the people who bring you in the darkest cage that you are trapped in. Why being silent is safer for you than bringing your voice because you have the right to speak. Even though we have mistakes we are born to have mistakes, What to do with mistakes? Find a better solution to find the answer. Even though we have the desire to speak ourselves, We still have the choice to go with or avoid it. It is better to speak in your desire, even we have a correct path or wrong path as long as we can rise above the level and learn from it. Question to everyone reading this What is your passion? What is your goal? What is the fire that keeps burning inside you to keep going? Time is gold that we should not waste it until it’s too late. If you remain yourself silent you will have the greatest regret and tell yourself “Why didn’t I do this?”. Goodluck to your marvelous journey and do your best until the very end.

“What is love for me?”

The four letter word that is a thing for me having a hard time finding it. Just kidding. Based on Google Love is a complex of mixed emotions, behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth, and respect. All of the words stated at this topic is actually right. Let me define each word written on it First let me give my opinion about mixed emotions. Speaking of “Mixed Emotions” when there is something that you like to have you are changing in many ways whether its positive or negative. To feel the warmth presence of it you must do everything and give your very best to get what you like.

Thoughts about the story of “Return” by Chris Agrava

As I read every details of this story it’s very heartbreaking for me. Because it’s so hard to lose a loved one. The story “Return” by Chris Agrava is all about the author expressing is grief for his late mother who passed away. The author has a unique flow of the story flashing back all the past. The author stated that “Countless things remind me of her” everything he sees, touch, hear, and feel he feels the presence of his mother.  The past hurts the author so much in things that is happening to him, Until there is a moment where his heart are shattered into pieces losing his mom, who is also a other half of his life. The thing that hurts me the most he didn’t make it to her death bed. Because of the traffic in their city. All these times he remember his mom, it felt like there is a acid to his heart. After the funeral of his mom, His father failed to pay the bills of their rent. Until then, because of the financial crisis in his country, The family was forced to go out. He found the reason of the death of his mother, it’s due to Myastenia Gravis. He hugged the clothes and say goodbye while he was caught in the traffic. The story ends where he found himself in the airport early morning. As he prepares himself for the coming months, it’s indifferent to his return. He found himself back in the fray. So my thoughts about the story “Return” it’s all about the author coming back after the time where he felt lost. The time he contemplated his past is what makes him an author who is an inspiration for me, for the confidence he shared. He returned from his dungeon of problems climbing up by sharing his story in order to become strong. The tragedy that happens to the author of the story reminds us that each and everyone of us, has its own scars to battle. We will always fall down but everything that is happening to us is a stepping stone for the glory it gives us strength always. We may not move on the time where something hurts us, Even there are times that we are thinking that we are not the person that others see before, It will pass that you will your true self back. No matter what happens we are still holding this life and we are the ones controlling it’s your choice how to handle it by holding sadness or moving forward to become a better person through every pain life gives us.

Thoughts about the Story of “This Crazy Thing Called Love” by Grace Cruz

As you can see, Nowadays there is a word that is always used and we can hear it  everyday. Whether we hate it, like it, regretted it, and lastly needed it. It is Love through my thoughts about this four letter word called “Love” it’s everything and without it we can’t feel anything. If there are things that you can’t feel anything whether its warmth or hatred, it doesn’t make you human. We know that human have feelings to express whether it is by music, speaking, acting, writing and more. The thing that I’m pointing out is it’s something that is precious in each of our lives, Sometimes we can see it and there are times that we hid it. Let’s proceed to my thoughts about the story. “This Crazy Thing Called Love” by Grace Cuz is a eye opening story for all the youths out there, who are pointless on what love is for. The author is a bit sad in making this story and she has nowhere to express herself, that’s why she showed her emotions through writing. Based on her story Love is a funny thing to hear and experience and for her own perspective you must put your mind and your heart in the place where it belongs, In what she saw there persons who are changing his/her behavior because of it and risking all things for the things he/she loves. But there is a part where the author experience love when she saw someone and the funny part of it she usually had a new feeling in this, that her world was filled with butterflies and her heart his beating so fast than a roller coaster ride, At the moment she glances to his beauty everything changes to his perspective of love and she cannot even compose a word to him, But there was a sad moment of this story the author states that ‘‘Love’’ is the thing that hurts you the most, At the time where she saw the one that she loves talking with another woman happily, And because of the pain she can’t believe the thing that is happening to her that she’s thinking that’s her classmate until he held his hands with her, She felt shattered after that. After few days the author stated that she needed to move forward and be strong every single day, This is how the story ends. For my own perspective, Love is a thing that you like doing and me as a person have a lot thoughts about that and it’s a crazy feeling where there is a time that you can’t control yourself because of what you’re feeling inside, that sometimes you can’t express how you feel because of this jumbled thoughts. In terms of this, Love is not a game based on what others say and I like to say “Love is not a give or take” Therefore if you want something you need to prove or show something whether it’s a person, dreams, talents and your identity as a human. You must give your everything and lastly the greatest learn about this thing not everything you like will be given back to you, There will always be a time where you feel pain, Why? there is something that is better for you. As I conclude my reflection about this story Love is the most precious thing that you must think carefully who to give or how to use.
