Six of Crows
Today, tomorrow, forever
For their one year anniversary of being together, Wylan and Jesper engage in simple but soft acts of love
Jesper is buzzing with exitement, it drives his need for physical affection up the wall and it shows. It shows in the way he jumps onto Wylan's side of the bed in the morning, shaking his shoulder with fond aggression that he can't surpress. It shows in the way he hugs Wylan on every occasion they meet in the hallways. It shows in the way he slips between his boyfriend and the counter as the younger makes waffles for breakfast and Jesper prepares everything for their plans, hiding his face in the others shoulder and holding tight when he's done while Wy works away.
And if one of the waffles turns out almost too dark to eat because Jesper had engaged him in clumsily dancing around the kitchen, giggling and laughing to the first song coming on in whatever song Jes had put on, then noone but them has to know.
"Alright, i brought sandwiches made with the bread Nina gave us. And some fruits, vegetables and cookies. We're all packed," Jesper grins proudly as he stores all the items in his backpack. "All packed?" Wylan frowns while he stores their plates back in the cupboard after breakfast. "Jup! We're going out!"
Jesper giggles and hides in his sweater paws as Wylan kneels down to tie his shoes for him. The older thinks its embarrassing but Wy finds it rather endearing that his boyfriends exitement prevents him from basic tasks such as tying shoelaces.
Jes is out the door and running down to the end of the way leading up to their house as soon as his shoes are tied and just a little bit later they're on the way together, Wylan humming made up tunes and Jesper improvising, singing along more or less out of tune.
Wylan follows willingly, letting Jesper drag him along by their hands. He's determined, steering into a certain direction and once the trees clear the view, Wylan knows. Open fields of green great them and he laughs, breaking into a run towards the one tree in the middle of it.
Jesper catches up with him easily after a few seconds of surprise, crashing into Wylan and tackling them both onto the blanket the younger had carefully laid out. "Happy one year," Jesper whispers, kissing Wylans nose. "Happy one year, you goofball," Wylan giggles, pulling him in to press their lips together for real.

Beat of your heart, art in my mind
An art museum. Why did it have to be an art museum? If theres one thing Wylan doesn't want to do on his first day, its going to an art gallery. That's all Wylan can think about. But life has more surprises in store than this.
Monsters nightmare
"Do monsters have nightmares, too?"
When Kaz and Inej find themselves with a small child on their hands, Kaz can't quite let go of the girl's question. The girls help him answer it.

A place like home
(T, 1216 words)
George is home. He's finally home, in Florida, with Dream and Sapnap. But something feels off.
On the assumption that George hasn't seen Dream's face yet or more specific, him on video, he now has to deal with getting accustomed to the physical body that exists behind the voice he's heard and known for so long.
Something just like this
(T, 1965 words)
“I hate fights,” he pouted, maybe a bit more childish than intended. Dream chuckled, burying his hand in dark curls. “I know, me too,” he gave back. George scoffed. “Liar. You love to rile people up, you get a dopamine kick out of it.”
Or, the one where George settles into living with his friends and they conquer their first fight, a gay crisis and an accident in the kitchen to discover a blissful domestic feeling of home.
Life went on, but it was never the same again

Prompt:
Forbidden Gryffindor×Slytherin romance
Caspian×Peter Pevensie
We're hiding from the authorities and it's very close quarters in here, I can feel your body against mine.
"What did you do now?" Caspian asked as he caught up with Peter Pevensie who ran by him, almost tackling him on the way.
"I'd rather not tell, don't wanna get you in trouble. Just tryna get away from McGonagal right now."
The voice of the teacher roared through the hall just then. "Mr. Pevensie!"
Peter laughed as Caspian wheezed out a somewhat panicked "Very desperately I see." and ripped open a classroom door that was luckily unlocked. The door banged close behind them and both young men froze for a second, staring wide eyed at each other. Caspian pointed to one of the closets by the door, pulling the older towards it. Peter hissed and retreated his hand. Only now did Caspian notice the heavily bruised knuckles of his friend. "Again?" he sighed and held open the closet door, stepping into it after Peter.
"Sssh!" Caspian said as he closed the door behind them and he tried to listen to the approaching steps. Peter was wriggling around, trying to get somewhat comfortable in the very small available space. The two boys were not only the biggest troublemakers in school(although those were mostly Peter's ideas) but their friendship had also involved into Something month ago when they had fallen asleep on the Gryffindors bed one summer afternoon and woken up cuddling. Like, clinging to each other like octopuses while both being only half dressed, cuddling.
On top of moving Peter also started to ramble about what had happened now. Caspian made quick process and covered the other's mouth with one hand. It only worked for a few seconds though.
"Get your dirty hands off my face, Gryffindor!" Peter squealed and tried to shove the younger away. The space in the wardrobe had not increased and so Caspian quickly held onto Peter's jacket to not fall against the wardrobe door behind him with full force.
"Caspian, you're-" Peter spoke up again. Caspian shushed him.
"Don't shush me, you're standing on my foot!" Peter laughed. Caspian didn't react to Peter's ongoing blabbering, instead tried to listen to the steps on the hallway which were now coming dangerously close. The young Slytherin had not heard it and was starting to protest when Caspian shushed him again. "Caspian, stop-"
He didn't have time to go on as the hands holding his sweater fastened their grip and he was occupied with a pair of lips on his own. Peter tried to surpress a moan, pulling Caspian close. The space in the closet suddenly felt much too big for the two of them but Caspian was already pulling away as the steps faded. Well, they're Something that they had had certainly just evolved into something more. Boyfriends, maybe? They caught each others eyes in the dimly lit space. Peter let his head drop back against the back of the wardrobe.
"Caspian listen, I like you, ok? I like you a lot. But this," Peter pointed between himself and Caspian, "this can't happen. You're a Gryffindor, we're rivals. This is wrong"
"Then how can something so wrong feel so right?" Caspian winked and kissed him again.
"Are we actually dating now?" Peter asked when they pulled back. Caspian shrugged, then nodded, pressed another quick kiss to the others lips and slipped out the room into the hallway.
Because Peter spent most of his free time holed up in detention over the next week, the first time Caspian saw him again was on the weekend when he passed by the hospital wing to pick up something for a friend. Peter was sitting on one of the beds and coughing violently, being fussed over by Madam Pomfrey. "Is it really necessary? It's probably not that bad and that-" he pointed at the vial in Madam Pomfreys hand when the coughing stopped for a moment, "tastes horrible."
Caspian chuckled, leaning against the huge doorway for now to just stare at his boyfriend. The blond's messed up hair was sweaty and he snuffled, rubbing his runny nose with the back of his hand. He didn't seem to notice the younger. The school's matron sighed. "Mr. Pevensie, it's not supposed to taste well, its supposed to help."
She took hold of his hands, looking at his bruised knuckles. Caspian wasn't sure if they were still bruised or again.
When Madam Pomfrey noticed him, she attended to him in a matter of seconds before telling him very clearly to stay away from Peter until she decleared healthy enough to get back to his room.
After he showed up three days in a row at the hospital wing to sit with Peter, Madam Pomfrey banned him from the hospital wing until the end of the week.
As they passed each other on the stairs on Sunday, one of his roommates winked at him. "What pretty lady are you hooking up with?"
Caspian frowned, shaking his head. When he stepped inside the empty room, he noticed immediately what the other young man had meant. A single rose with a letter attached was laying on the bed. The letter simply stated "See you at 7:00. Lake"
Just as sundown rolled around, Caspian settled down beside Peter on one of the big rocks by the lake, tying his long dark brown hair up in a bun. "How'd you get the letter and the rose to my room?"
"I've got someone on the inside." Peter winked. Caspian frowned, then groaned. "You didn't! Please tell me you did not have your little sister put a rose from you on my bed! I thought we were keeping this a secret."
"Don't worry, she won't tell. I'm doing some of her homework for her in exchange." Peter mumbled, leaning heavily against Caspian.
"Tired?"
Peter hummed. "Still a bit worn out from being sick I guess."
"What are you thinking about?" Peter asked when he glanced up at his boyfriend. Caspians eyes were unfocused and staring off into the distance. Peter tugged his sleeve and repeated the question before grabbing Caspian's hand to hold.
"This. Us," Caspian said, the words hung heavily in the air. He swallowed. "How is this going to work? The rivalries have become worse over the last couple months. You're right in the middle of it with your fights."
"We're going to be fine." Peter promised.
Caspian gripped his hand tight.
"But I don't want to be fine, not if fine means you're going to let go of my hand, not if it means we're going to go back to being rivals because of our houses."
"It doesn't have to mean that. We can make the first step to stop the everlasting rivalry between our houses."
"Where do we start?" Caspian asked, looking at their clasped hands.
"Right here, Caspian." Peter said, clasping his boyfriend's hand tight and pulling him towards the castle. "Right here."

Midnight Blue
The new dress Genya bought deserves to be shown off to and seen by the world. At least that's what Genya thinks. But with the size of her online fanbase, David isn't too keen on being put in the spotlight to show off his girlfriend.
"What do you think about my new dress?" Genya asked, spinning in it.
"You look lovely, dear," David smiled tired, hiding a yawn.
"We should go out for dinner."
"Tonight? Why? What are we celebrating?"
"Nothing. I'd just like to present my boyfriend to the world. And I'd like to show off my new dress in public."
"I don't know. You have quite a base of followers and I really appreciate my privacy and... not being in the spotlight."
"I totally get your point."
"I don't know Genya, this is very sudden."
"I know" Genya nodded. "But I also know how many of the ladies around here like you."
"And you want to claim me as yours?"
Genya smiled at him. David sighed. "Let me think about it. I've been up the last two nights and there's nothing I wanna do now except sleep. Let's talk about this later, please?"
Genya nodded, gave him a quick kiss and then led him to their room to rest. She laid down beside him for a while but just couldn't sleep. The dress she'd gotten was hanging in the wardrobe and she wanted to show off. But that wasn't going to happen anytime soon if David didn't cut down on work and got the proper amount of sleep he needed.
After an hour of doing absolutely nothing, Genya heaved herself up and walked out. It only lasted a minute before she was pacing around. The way David had told her that he was going to think about it implied that he was probably going to say no. But that didn't stop Genya's enthusiasm about her new dress. If she wasn't going to get the chance to show it off outside, there where certainly a lot of people spread out over all of the world who seemed very eager to hear and see from her again.
Within the next five minutes she was back in her dress and twirling in front of the camera with more people watching than lived in all of Ketterdam, where one of her best friends lived. The comments just kept coming.
"Looking good!"
"You look amazing!"
You're so pretty☺️😍
omg 😍😍
Princess vibes!
That color suits you so well!
All involved with her friends and fans, she didn't notice that someone else had made their way into the room, rubbing sleepily at his eyes and strolling over to embrace her in his arms and pull her close.
"David I'm live."
"Most of all you're gorgeous," the man mumbled, still drowsy from sleep. He gently kissed her
"I'm live. Online." Genya said again when their lips parted. Only now did the message reach his brain. His face lit up.
"Well then I am officially asking you, Genya Safin, love of my life, to let me take you out for dinner tonight. In this wonderful new dress you aquired."
Genya giggled and blushed while she nodded. Maybe this whole internet thing wasn't as bad as David thought judging by the positive reactions popping up on screen.

Six of Crows
Easy
Wylan wasn´t sure that this was real. Life wasn´t always safe around the Crows but it was nice. It had a feeling of family. This couldn´t be real. Life wasn´t that easy. Nothing was.
Because Wylan had only been with the group called "the Crows" for a few weeks since fleeing his fathers house, hadn't even met all members and was already overwhelmed, a young, very nice woman by the name of Inej had offered that Wylan could get accustomed with them in smaller groups and proceeded to take him ice skating the next day. Wylan wasn´t sure that this was real. Life wasn´t always safe around the Crows but it was nice. It had a feeling of family. This couldn´t be real. Life wasn´t that easy. Nothing was.
He had to admit that he wasn't exactly good at ice skating but he could usually keep his head above his feet and was able to move forward without help. Inej on the other hand was as talented on the ice as she was above the roofs of the city gathering gossip for the groups leader. The woman just seemed to have a talent to look good while doing everything she attempted nearly perfectly. If Wylan had been interested in women and wouldn't have to fear for his life due to a certain leader if he only so much as looked at Inej wrong, perhaps he might have actually hit on her.
Deep in thoughts, his concentration slid away from the ice. Within the second that he looked up, he only saw green fabric and dark skin before someone crashed into him. There was a thump when his body landed on the hard, cold and wet ground with a thud, dyeing ice crystals red.
The stranger slithered to a halt above him, barely avoiding a second collision. "Fuck, are you hurt? I'm so sorry, I was too fast and you were suddenly there."
Wylan glanced up between strands of hair falling into his face. "Hi."
"Boy, are you hurt? Sweetie, you're bleeding. Stay on the ground, don't move. Jesper you absolute idiot," Nina scowled her friend, "can't you watch where you're going?"
Both young men didn't even register that one of Jespers friends was talking to them. Especially not Wylan, who was still glancing up into the face of the stranger that had now knelt down beside his head, looking down at him, holding one of Wylans hands in his own. His eyes were the eye of the hurricane in the bustle happening around Wylan and it soothed his nerves and his pain.
"Is it bad?" Wylan asked. By now he could smell the blood, a smell that made him terribly nauseous and he had to try very hard to keep from spilling his breakfast over the ice. "Well it looks cool on the ice to be honest," the stranger, Jesper, shrugged, his free hand in his hair. His posture showed clear signs of embarrassment and self-consciousness. He seemed almost shy now.
Wylan laughed. "Do you wanna go on a date with me?"
Jesper blushed. Inej came into Wylans field of sight. "Wylan Van Eck, would you stop flirting bleeding out on the floor. The paramedics are here." As soon as Wylans anchor aka the grey eyes of the handsome young man he had just met disappeared, everything became blurred before he slipped into unconsciousness. The whole ordeal in the hospital went by almost unnoticed by Wylan, who was in a state of shock since he had actually caught sight of the amount of blood spilled upon being lifted onto a stretcher. He was honestly surprised when the doctors told him that he was expected to make a full recovery.
Inej handled all formalities for him and brought him back to the slat once the doctors gave their okay after several hours. Wylan was glad that he didn't have to make the way all by himself as he collapsed onto his bed as soon as Inej let him go from her vice-like grip.
"Found you."
Jespers grin was sheepisly as he lazily a coin von through his fingers. Wylan was mesmerizing by that alone before he noticed just who was sitting in his room there when he woke up. "You!"
"Jesper Fahey, pleasure to meet you. Again."
With Jespers help, as Wylan didn't have full energy yet, he managed to cross the room, where he quickly washed up with cold water from a basin and changed clothes while Jesper had made a run for food.
"Inej says you're supposed to stay in bed a little longer," he said when he appeared with a basket.
"I thought I was getting the chance to take you out on a date."
"Sorry, sunshine. I promise I'll let you take me out another time. For now we´re staying in bed and stuffing our face."
Wylan grinned. "Sounds good, too," he nodded as he moved slowly to the mirror. "I look horrible!"
"Adorable, " Jesper corrected but Wylan pouted. The big bandage around his head made him look absolutely ridiculous. Red colored strands were sticking out between his natural [blond] hair. He tugged at one of them. The metallic smell still lingered on his hair and now also his hand and Wylan turned his head and washed his hands very thoroughly again as to not gag. "Sorry. It has to stay on until tomorrow, but then you can wash your hair, "Inej said from where she had appeared in the doorway. When Wylan turned to look at her, his crush slipped out the door. Inej looked after him for a second before she shrugged with a smile. "Hell come back, that's just what Jesper is like."
Wylan could only stare. "You know Jesper," he commented dumbfundly. Inej laughed." He's one of my best and closest friends, of course I know him! I didn't know Nina and Jesper were planning to go ice skating though. We could have gone together!" she exclaimed with a smile before she added "Well at least now you know everyone."
At that moment Jesper appeared again, hands behind his back, a big grin plastered on his face." Go to the mirror," he said and mentioned for Wylan to move. "Close your eyes,"Jesper went on as the younger had followed his request. With a frown Wylan closed his eyes. He felt something being set down on his head. It was circular and made of something sturdy. Jesper tapped his shoulder and allowed the blond to open his eyes. A metal crown, one of those that some merchants sold on the street to kids. "Made it myself some time ago. Distracts from the bandage. Also, you could try to convince your brain that this is where the metallic smell comes from.
In a quick motion, Wylan turned around, embracing Jesper. The young man hugged him back before they settled on the bed arm in arm, sharing the food that Jesper had brought. It was surprisingly easy to enjoy the situation and make himself believe that the smell of blood was the crown settled on his head. Wylan glanced upwards towards the other man who was watching TV.
It was easy with Jesper. It was easy.

Happy little accidents
Chronicles of Narnia
Edmund gets nicked by Caspian during their sparring and doesn't want him to know. Caspian finds out anyway
"You've grown stronger my friend" Caspian smiled and patted Edmunds shoulder. "Seems I have" Edmund answered and smiled.
The younger had a quiet moment shortly after, while Caspian had volunteered to get the swords back to the cabin as they really didn't need it on deck. He was leaning against the railing, enjoying the last rays of sun before it got dark.
Edmund had got quite a share of blows during their sparring but one especially was noticeable.
He stroked one hand over his neck, where it stung, near his shoulder. The young man was quite surprised to find blood on his palm when he retreated his hand. It wasn't much but it explained the slight pain.
He heard Caspian laugh when he climbed up the stars to the quarter deck, talking to Drinian. Edmund quickly raised his hands to his collar and buttoned the tunic up. It covered the cut perfectly and just in time, as Caspian had approached him.
"Why did you button it up? Its quite warm, I think." Caspian said, standing next to Edmund at the railing. "I... I felt slightly cold, probably from the water." Edmund stuttered and was glad that Caspian stood on his left as the cut was on the right.
They talked a bit about the voyage, how glad Edmund was to be back and how happy Caspian was to have them back with him.
"Why did you really do it?" Lucy asked later when the sun had gone down and Edmund and his sister were standing a few feet aside from the others, looking out onto the see.
With a look to Caspian who was talking with Drinian a few feet to the left, Edmund moved his right hand to the tunic, unbuttoning it and tugging at the fabric to reveal the cut to Lucy. "You got nicked? By Caspian?"
"During our little sparring. I didnt want him to feel bad, you know him." Edmund whispered.
Lucy nodded and pulled Edmunds hand back when he tried to button the tunic up again. "Thats only gonna make it suspicious." she hissed and disappeared. Edmund frowned and turned to look after her, but instead found himself starring at Caspians face.
Caspian stepped next to him, on his left side. "What happened to your neck?"
Edmund felt blood going into his head and he looked down, trying to hide his blushing.
""My... My neck? What do you-" he tried to talk himself out of it but Caspian turned to him and laid a hand underneath his chin, forcing Edmund to look at Caspian.
"You have a cut on your neck, which wasnt there when you arrived. What happened?" Caspian demanded to know and Edmund could hear a slight growl in his voice.
Edmund knew how protective Caspian was of his friends and family but he hadn't known that the young King was caring that much.
Before Edmund could even make up another lie in his head, Caspians blue eyes were looking firmly into his. Edmund sighed. "You nicked me. During our sparring." he mumbled and tried to get free of Caspians hold.
He was released within a second and Caspian took a swift step back. "I apologize. I meant no harm to you." Caspian said.
Edmund nodded slowly. "I know. And its not that bad. Its just a cut. Promise me you won't give yourself the fault for it, please Caspian." he said and stepped closer to Caspian again.
Before Caspian could even say another word, Edmund had slung his arms around him and crushed him in a hug. Caspian smiled. "I promise." he whispered and put his arms around Edmunds back.

Six of Crows
Some Nights
Some days were better than others. Those that weren't left bones aching, heads heavy, noise drowsy at night. They we're glad to have each other in days like this.
"Alright, love you guys, bye!" Nina laughed and stopped the recording. "Not you guys, we have a minute longer." she said upon looking at all the 'bye' messages in the chat. She had used the time that Matthias was out, training and teaching people to fight and wrestle with bis friends, to stream and record a video. As the whole day was used for traing, Nina had first done some co-working and then some gaming. She quickly ended the stream, thanking her followers, subs and viewers for being as nice and loving as always and promising to upload the video as soon as she had edited it, when she heard Matthias turn the key in the door.
"Hey, how was your day?" Nina asked without looking up when her boyfriend entered the room. Matthias mumbled something incoherently and dropped his gear to the floor with such noise that Nina turned around in shock, her headphones slipping off her head and hitting the floor. She picked them back up, putting them around her neck.
"That bad, huh?" She smiled sympathetically, holding out her hand. "What are you doing?" Matthias mumbled, slipping out of his shirt. "I was livestreaming and recording a video, some gaming with Jesper. But I'm finished."
Matthias hummed, then said: "Im gonna go shower. Can you check my wounds after? Our medic was already asleep."
Nina nodded, turning back to the computer to start a new game when Matthias disappeared into the bathroom.
They had saved money and then bought this place near the coast between Ketterdam and Belendt. It was lovelyto be the connection between their friends, with Kaz and Jesper in Ketterdam, Inej at sea or with them, Wylan partly in Ketterdam with his husband and partly in Belendt as a music professor at the academy. Jesper had offered to move to Belendt with him but all of them knew that Jesper belonged in the barrel by Kaz's side, keeping an eye on him while Inej was at sea. Matthias was using his time by teaching kids and interested adults to fight as well as being available for heavy work that needed to be done while Nina volunteered in a hospital and made her videos and livestreams. It was enough to make a decent living. Being close to water had been important for Matthias and both had wanted to get away from the barrel.
Nina couldn't tell if she should laugh and be happy that Matthias was still walking and talking or cry about all he pain he must be in. Of course, Matthias was a soldier and people got hurt even in training sessions but he was also unbelievably stubborn when it came to letting Nina heal his wounds. There were cuts all over his arms and upper body that Nina hadn't seen because of the long sleeved shirt the Fjerdan had been wearing. She also hadn't been able to see the blood on his shirt in the dim lit room. The shirt was now laying in the shower soaking wet, the blood mixing with water and slowly running into the drain. "Matthias." Nina breathed out and carefully slid a hand over his chest, careful not to touch a single wound. "Please let me-"
"No, Nina. No." his decision was final. For today at least.
Even as Nina tried her best to attend to the blond's wounds as carefully as possible, Matthias groaned and winced more than both of them would have liked. "You okay?" Nina asked as she rinsed out the washcloth that she had used for cleaning off blood and then Matthias shirt while he dressed in fresh pants. "I just need a minute," he groaned, leaning heavily against the wall. "Want me to stay?" she asked but Matthias shook his head. "I will be with you in a minute."
Nina nodded. She left the door open and her headphones off nonetheless to know if the Fjerdan needed something. Matthias left the bathroom a couple minutes after Nina was already back into the game. He pulled back the chair and climbed into Nina's lap, his legs hanging off the back. Slumping against his girlfriend, still without a shirt to let the ointment dry and to stay cool, as Nina heated the apartment very well and the young man from the land of ice wasn't really a fan of it, he let out a heavy sigh.
"Keep playing," he mumbled. Nina chuckled, placed a kiss to Matthias hair and started the game again. Within minutes Matthias was snoring lightly in his deep slumber. Even though he wasn't usually a heavy sleeper, a habit he had picked up training to be a drüskelle, he sometimes slept through the night when he was close to Nina. She smiled. Later she'd have to figure out how to get Matthias into their bed for now she she was just going to enjoy this.
Enjoy them.
Together.
