I mean...If you’re doing SubQ, then weekly is Standard. Bi-weekly is an Intramuscular thing. I’m on SubQ, I inject every week.

It’s a little weird that they’re gonna do the first shot themselves and have someone else do the second shot?? I would call and ask them why, personally, or ask about it at your appointment for your first shot.

Hey so i was just wondering, i have my first shot of T tomorrow. But my endo has an appointment booked for me in town with a trans component doctor to have my next shot exactly a week after my first. Is that normal? (Also theyre giving me 50 in my dose i dont know id that makes a difference in your possible answer)

Maybe the first place can’t teach you how to do it yourself? That’s the only thing I can think of.

I had my follow-up appointment at PP on wednesday and my dose has been doubled 👌 👌 👌

This the first TDoV that I haven't ended up sleeping through it on accident, and the first time I find myself being consistently correctly gendered by strangers without having to say anything. And it's the first time I've been able to feel comfortable and confident and less terrified to exist in my own skin in public. Happy Trans day of Visibility, babies. It does get better, I promise.

man I’m so behind on videos at this point it’s not even funny lmao;;; ah well

It’s been a rough year, and I’m not big on redundancy, so given that there hasn’t really been much to talk about (related to T, in any case), there hasn’t been much point in doing update videos either.

I’m gonna try and do a poetry video this week tho and see about doing a comparison blend to see if I can tell if there’s much of a difference but honestly I think everything’s sort of Plateau’ed a bit, and I’m currently chalking it up to the low dose of T I’m on (.25ml or 50mg per week, which is like...less than half of what most folks start/maintain on, I think?)

I’m hoping that after my april appointment and my dose adjustment things will start chugging on a little more as expected, but who knows. It’s a little frustrating and disheartening to hear other folks finally get on T and everything seems to fall into place--they feel better, they have more energy, etc, and on my end it just kind of feels like nothing’s happening at all?

Like my voice has obviously dropped a little bit, and I’ve had some lower growth, but that all happened in the first couple of days and since then I haven’t noticed any kind of difference really, like....At All.

Not to mention the fact that rather than fucking off my Wolfing has decided to just...Stay. Like, it was two weeks late, and then I had it for a week, and then I was sick with the flu for a week, and then it immediately started again and it’s still going (we’re at a week and a half now, and I’m super fucking over it). Talk about insult to injury.

I’m just??? Plz. 200$+med costs in bills and two months in, I just wish I was seeing more progress. I’d probably feel better about it if I was seeing a real endo I guess because I’d feel like there was more purpose and guidance behind it, but after realizing my insurance deductible being so high means it covers basically nothing, even though it “technically” covers GID treatment, until I spend $5000 out of pocket (this year), I really don’t think I could afford a real endo.

I don’t know. Especially if I get hit with another high bill from PP next visit, I guess I’ll call my insurer and see if there’s any difference cost wise, or if it’d be more manageable financially, because there’s no sense in spending this kind of money for zero results if going through an endo would be comparable and more effective.

Idk, idk. We’ll see.

I took my sixth shot tonight and it was a little surreal how like....Routine it felt? All my stuff was basically already set up bc I leave it on the table and the whole process was just like. Super nbd, in the weirdest way. It felt like there should have been more effort to it? I dunno, y’know?

So much shit has been going on the past couple of weeks that it’s just like, minimal in comparison. Changes have sort of stalled out as far as I can tell, but also like, it’s borderline impossible to tell just bc of how much other shit has been going on, too, so like...I don’t know. Each shot doesn’t feel like something I’m chasing with baited breath so much as it’s just a Thing now, I guess.

Changes will happen, and I wish they’d happen sooner, but at the same time I’m just so exhausted with all the Everything that’s been happening that a little...lack of change isn’t bothering me so much, I guess. I could use some stability, maybe.

Plus my voice is definitely still meandering its way down, so I guess that counts for something.

This video is late again and it's got minimal editing because I've been Really Low Energy this past week. I had a death in the family last weekend (when I shot this) and it kinda...shows? I've already filmed my Week 3 update though so I'll try to get that edited and up in the next couple of days.

Sorry it's so quiet--I upped the volume as much as I could to compensate for it (thus the buzzing) but I was speaking really quietly because I was around a lot of people/in someone else's house. I didn't realize just how quietly until I tried to edit this last night.

My voice dropped and then un-dropped???? After re-listening to this a couple times it doesn't actually sound -that- different, but it was Really pronounced on the playback that day, so I dunno, maybe I'm imagining it lol.
