Thank you for doing this @midnitetech it was like 2 am when I posted that and I was being lazy and also didn’t realize that some people wouldn’t be able to see those screenies, lol.
Fix Default Replacement Skins
A few people have messaged saying they can’t see the screenshots on @dustvy’s post, so here’s a quick rehash of the tutorial.
The October 6th patch has broken ALL Default Replacement skins. Skin Details and skin tones (like @lamatisse’s bare skintones) are unaffected. Onto the tutorial.
Download S4PE (scroll down to assets, click S4pe_V0.5.5-beta.7z) Unzip it (I use WinRAR, and double click the exe file.
Click file>open, locate your skin and hit open. On each instance of RLE2, double click, double click again.
Paste in JUST 0x2BC04EDF. Hit OK. When you’ve replaced each instance, (it took me about 3 minutes with copy/paste).
When you’re done, hit SAVE AS, and rename it something like CreatorNameSkinNameFIXED. Remove your old skin from your Mods folder, pop your new one in your Mods folder and you’re good to go!

hi. i’ve been gone for forever and a day. don’t think i’m coming back either(life has gone completely sideways and my mental health has taken a fucking swan dive, so i can’t handle simblr right now), but wanted to share this. someone on deaderpools server figured out how to update default skins to work with the new patch. here’s a link to their post in discord. here’s a link to screenshots of their message i took if you don’t wanna bother with discord. :P
no. i did not figure this out, i wish i was that smart lol, someone else did, just posting this so that other people can find it as well.

Guide To Simblr Success
I see a lotta people ask other simblrs ??? How is it they’re so popular ??? Like how do some people get so many likes, and some don’t ??? So anyway, here’s some tips I threw together, which might be totally serious, or not ???
DON’T. EVER. ADMIT. YOU. HAVE. FEELINGS. No one likes a Negative Nancy, especially people who are just here to look at pictures of the same exact game they play. Bottle it up inside until you start cutting off the heads of your stuffed animals to feel whole again.
Not good at building, or making sims, or editing... or honestly anything? MAKE LOOK BOOKS! People like CC, especially when it’s conveniently linked at the bottom of pictures they couldn’t care less about.
There are only two anons that matter, WCIF’s, and the hate mail you send yourself to make yourself look good. Everything else goes in the trash. 🗑
Photoshop and Reshade and HQ mods are a total necessity. Don’t let the fact your computer is on its last leg convince you otherwise. This is 2019, there are 15 year olds that don’t know what standard def means. Slap some duct tape on that bitch, you’ve got to take your 374829373739th eyeseering picture of that same damn train in San Myshuno with sweet, sweet lens flare. #AESTHETIC.
Keep consistent. No one likes a ball outta left field, post the same sim over and over again from the same angle with the same plain background for all I care, just make sure nothing you make is distinguishable, or shows you’re a human being who has ever evolving tastes and interests. Growth is for babies!
Make some cc, it doesn’t have to be good, it just has to include all the meshes it requires in the same download or you’re a tyrant.
Did I mention not to feel?
Got a mic? Become a sims YouTuber! Put your gamertag on t-shirts, sell your soul to the influencer Gods, and get away with doing literally anything, because your viewers love a train wreck. 😈
Finally. When you realize that all these tips are bullshit, and how you gain popularity has nothing to do with your content or you as a person... especially if you’re racist 🙃, just remember that it’s all about timing and that any attention that is coming from good and sincere people who actually like you and your content will always be better than getting 500 wcifs about the the same fucking wcif you literally posted yesterday, from a bunch of complete fucking strangers who don’t know how to say thank you. Happy Simming! 😄

Reblogging this because people need to realize that recolorists have lives, jobs, and families. They don’t live on the internet. And it’s super easy to get burned out on recolors, says the person who hasn’t posted a recolor in probably almost a year or more. Also!!!! If you want a hair recolored in a palette as soon as you see it then you should learn to do it your damn self and stop complaining about how slow others are.
no offense but you lot have a whole blog dedicated to recolors yet are awfully slow compared to the individuals who don't have a blog and post WMS, eezo shoot recolors. it doesnt seem like anyone takes initiative to recolor the new hair releases by people, do you all just wait for requests? people don't care for those fancy previews. i bet you all spend more time contouring your sims faces than actually recoloring. its not just me who feels this way, you are becoming "that palette" in discord..
Hi nonny, good morning to you too! There are multiple parts of this ask that I want to address, so I will address them in the order you presented them to us.
First off, yes we have a whole blog dedicated to recolors, but just because we have a blog dedicated to recolors doesn’t mean that we are constantly recoloring. The Witching Hour palette hasn’t been out for as long as WMS’ palette and therefore there are even fewer recolorists. We take requests to be nice because we could easily say that we do not and only recolor the meshes that we want in our game.
Secondly, I want to reiterate that this is a reblog tumblr and in no way a blog that purposely recolors. Us mods, @verdigriss and @rachirdsims, made the blog for visibility and visibility only. We opened requests at the time because both of us had requests open on our personal blogs and we extend that same courtesy on this blog. We do not require our recolorists to take requests because we do not want to force people to recolor meshes that they are not going to use in their gameplay.
Thirdly, preview style is all up to the creator. If they want to have a really pretty edit with contour and the like then that is their business and if you honestly have such an issue with it - then take it up with the specific recolorist. Also, if you have enough time to shit talk about the palette in discord servers then you obviously have enough time to learn how to recolor yourself, so I have listed quite a few helpful tutorials for you to get started.
To start recoloring, you will first need the actions that Pyxis made for the palette. Don’t worry you can grab them on this link.

This tutorial is how to recolor in the palette in non-Override way.
For overrides and cas-declutter in general, here is a very helpful tutorial on deleting textures without removing the mesh completely.

Now that Lizette has more free time on her hands since she’s not trying to figure out the mystery of the town she’s been focusing on rising through the ranks in the Military. She has been getting some odd things in the mail though. Somehow word got out that she saved the town and now she keeps getting fan mail.
She wasn’t really sure what to do with all of the random future cubes and fish she’s been getting in the mail, so she sold all but the very first future cube she got and has been selling all of the fish for money. Who sends fish in the mail anyways? It’s always spoiled when it get to her. She’s starting to get tired of her mailbox smelling like rotten fish...
