REWRITING RAIN'S STORY FOR REAL

(Yes? No? Not sure)

After constant announcements of rewriting WeatherTale / RainTale only to fail several times, I have come up with something that can properly explain Rain's powers and put her backstory into a more serious light. (I'm sorry, but I think WeatherTale won't serve her character that much despite the core parts of this AU)

However, this means changing some parts about her and I might have to develop her character, so while I keep up the WeatherTale story in case it flops, I will be working on a new AU which might probably be Rain's origin.

With a new upcoming AU, does this mean new characters? Yes. So watch out for any doodles I will post in the future.

And before I sign out, here is the title: MysticalTale. Yes, very original. (this concept has probably been used many times without my knowledge-) I will be making a document about this.

Pre-Fallen (before fallen down mountain) Paige is considered the smartest in his hometown. She’d find ways to solve many types of problem, from a difficult math homework to a malfunctioning TV or computer. They never received a score below A+ at school (except PE) and is found reading many books in the library everyday.

Many adults see him as a prodigy. Other kids envy her. But Paige didn’t like the attention. They hate that they’re always seen as some miracle instead of a simple child. His older sister (now brother), Piper, is the only one who understands and knows who she is, and Piper is the only person where Paige shows their hidden chaotic and playful personality. These two may argue a lot, but they still care about each other.

It all fell apart however when Paige’s parents divorced. Paige stayed with his father in the neighbourhood while her mom moved away with Piper. Paige’s dad started to work at shifts longer than usual, meaning that they are always alone at home. This impacted his performance at school a bit, but it affected her mental health as well as all they do everyday is go to school and tend to their home, all alone.

Soon enough, Paige meets a couple of kids who were role-playing and hanged out with them. Soon enough, he became interested in mystery and soon enough. she role-played as a detective. This boosted Paige’s spirits and energy up, improving their performance and figure in the community as well.

Paige usually solves problems that he calls “mystery cases” in her village. Their greatest one yet is the mystery of Mt. Ebott. Two of his friends disappeared going there, urging Paige to go there and investigate. However, she was discouraged by the adults, who told them tales of Mt Ebott being full of monsters and those who cross never returning.

Soon enough, news spread around the neighbourhood. It was about a famous young ballerina who disappeared. Paige instantly recognized the ballerina as Piper and started to investigate, learning that his sister was last seen going to Mt. Ebott. This gave Paige the strength, and eventually perseverance, to investigate and bring her sister and friends back. That started their adventure to go to the mountains and enter the Underground below.

--- Upon falling down, Paige meets Flowey, who helps him into saving her progress and resetting if anything happens to them. As Paige and Flowey ventured through and soon exited the Ruins, reality came crashing down as Snowdin was swarmed with soldiers. As Paige continues with the help of Flowey, his tactics and communication advanced as she is able to convince monsters to spare and leave them alone. The human and his flower friend went to places of old and new, making friends along the way. Paige faced many monsters but remained alive, instead sparing them and gaining their trust. She started to think things are easy and that monsters aren’t bad. However, Paige realizes what happened to the missing children and attacked and killed one of the monsters who was involved. They became guilty and managed to convince Flowey to fully reset the full run as the situation’s data was saved.

Paige still remembers things from the last run, but perseveres on doing the right thing and deciding to try use another tactic ever since his first run; convince monsters that they don’t need to steal human SOULs for freedom, and that Paige herself will help monsterkind. This proved a little bit harder for them but soon enough, monsters got convinced and swept away by the human’s speeches and conversations. This gave Paige enough courage to face Asgore and convince him to let go of the SOULs and find a more peaceful solution.

Unfortunately, Paige faces a tough enemy who was against his ideals at the end of the run. She fought the monster and won, but spared him. However, this led to the monster taking advantage of the situation, killing Paige and giving their SOUL to Asgore in the end. This caused an uproar in the underground, mad of what happened to Paige, and it took lies and time for monsterkind to eventually calm down.
