Today, with PRIDE my Brother @ibencarlton and I were apart of the #WEHO Pride Parade with @renewed_man and the #RenewedLA Church. YUP - CHURCH - where ALL SHOULD BE welcomed with LOVING open arms…. I digress!!! • It’s a blessing that people all over the world are finally beginning to live their best free life because of the PRIDE they have in themselves and who GOD has called them to be. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve and LOVE!!! Because the greatest gift is LOVE!!! • I’ve been comfortable in my skin for a veryyyy long time (a portion of my confidence & who I am is the result of a loving, supportive family & I’m grateful) but I know that isn’t and hasn’t been the case for sooo many. Over the years, I’ve done all that I can to make sure those around me (especially young, black, gay males) are beginning to love themselves, accept themselves for exactly who they are, walk in confidence, share love physically and verbally without perversion and to know that the Crown as King sits on their head as well!!! The House of Gees (lol not a real thing) has been a blessing to sooo many over the course of my collegiate and professional careers. I’ve been able to help guide, offer comfort, relief, wisdom and sometimes just some good ‘ol fashion sense (clothing & common, 😂) to some dynamically talented people. Some of whom, without having a conversation about sexuality, are just wanting to be loved and share their love, gifts and talent with the world!!! Which is all most with “PRIDE” want to do anyway!!! We’re evolving as a world and as a culture but it’s still taking wayyy to long! Stand up for what’s right, LOVE & Individuality- last I checked, we ALL come from the same place, literally.
