Lil bit of OC writing , How i’ve started one of the books i’m writing c:
Was that it? Was he destined to hurt? Was he destined to suffer greatly only to keel over and die alone in an alleyway. No- No that couldn’t happen. Because that meant all his suffering had been for nothing. That all the times he could have given up, the times he kept trying, were for nothing? He was destined to suffer and then die? That didn’t seem right-
That meant that all the times he’d pushed on and continued fighting, ignoring the blade protruding awkwardly from his side. He should have stopped trying years ago. When he was just a child holding a gun towards someone he didn’t even know. He could have turned the barrel against himself and blew his own brains out.
He was never taught how to use a gun. He had been forced to learn while life stacked responsibility’s over responsibility’s onto a lanky teen, like an evil game of jenga. Everyone around him watched wondering if the next block would tear his entire life down. Why didn’t he give up and fall?
A sob echoed his body only making his wound ache more. He’d had a terrible life, he’d lost his childhood, yet he couldn’t even have a good adulthood? Let alone reach his adulthood. Let’s face it, he was dying tonight…IT WASN’T FAIR- his inner child screamed.
Another sob shook his body. He stared at the hand that clutched the side, the pool of blood on the floor only getting larger. He lifted the hand carefully, the hand that kept the little life in him from flowing out into the streets. If he was dying he might as well stop trying to prevent it.
He sniffed looking up at the moon. A waining crescent. He smiled crookedly and let out a wet laugh. What a beautiful night to be tainted by death. He ruffled his hair brown hair, now sticky with blood, so this was what death felt like?
“That was pretty anticlimactic…” his voice was hoarse. He chuckled to himself. He blinked up at the sky. He took a deep breath.
That was his last breath. Because that was the night Hayes Vale died.

Just an underrated trope, AVIAN WHUMPEES?? There is so much that could possibly happen.
Whumper having whumpee follow around behind them or sit on their shoulders— an extra set of hands
Whumper pulling out a feather whenever he needs to sign something ( make whumpee hold the ink pot)
Not allowing whumpee to stretch out there wings ( bonus : having them bound)
Whumpee scared to chirp even though their instincts scream at them
Whumpee staring at the birds outside the window wishing they could fly around like them
Whumpee stress picking at their feathers
Whumpee being shoved in a small dangling birdcage in whumpers room
Whumpee using their wings as a shield only to damage them further
Whumpee’s wings being clipped and put on display above whumpers bed
Being treated like an animal
Broken wings

"I know." Hero agreed. He shut his eyes as the building shook. Cracks formed in the walls. The ceiling shuddered, groaning as if it would give way.

Touch averse whumpees. Whumpees who shy away from every touch, be it affectionate or otherwise. When their friends touch them they fluctuate between going stiff as a board and pinning them with an ice-cold glare. An arm rubbed past their own makes their breath hitch and they sit in the back during team meetings to avoid the close contact of sitting at the table. They hide every injury even if it kills them because the thought of someone touching them hurts more than the thought of dying. They suffocate from too much closeness and every touch reminds them of Whumper, of the pain they inflicted, of everything they were forced into. They distance themself from their friends, first physically, and then emotionally, and nobody knows how to help them.
They don't think they need help. They need everyone to get away from them and stop looking at them with those eyes that almost hurt as much their hands do.

Thinking about five man bands and how cool that could be as a multiple whumpees scenario.
For those who don't know, a five man band is a group of protagonists that consists of a leader (self explanatory) a lancer (foil to/questions leader's authority), smart guy (self explanatory, usually physically the weakest), big guy (physically strongest, most powerful), and heart (morale, keeps the team from fighting typically). There's a good osp trope talk about it.
So the whole team gets taken captive.
Leader being defiant as all hell, sticking up for their team, even offering to take the place of whoever whumper decides to torture that day, all with varying success. Them and heart are the most hopeful for escape.
Lancer on the other hand, just telling leader to shut their mouth. Lancer is still defiant as well, but theirs is just cold glares and hard silence for whenever whumper walks in the room, but both they and leader refuse to scream or beg at least. Lancer is the most cynical, doubting they'll ever escape.
Smart guy is whumper's LEAST favorite. They're too logical, they don't let their memory deceive them like the others, not fully at least. They can logic their way into what whumper's plan is. Better yet, they might be CRITICAL to whumper's plan, the ability to build something or make something or calculate something whumper needs. And the promise of leaving the team alone for the day if they're compliant...
Big guy puts up the best fight, fiercely protective of the others as the tank, used to taking the most damage. And they do they do, whumper uses big guy as their example, knowing out of everyone they'll be left the most conscious after private torture, conscious enough to warn the others of the threat to come and terrify them all. Not to mention the horror of seeing their strongest member broken and bloodied... the team definetly gets a taste of what awaits for them.
And then poor little heart just doing their best to comfort everyone, to keep them hopeful. Patching up wounds the best they can, and unless they're tied up embracing the others into a warm hug as they're left blabbering on the ground. Them and smart guy are probably the least resistant to torture, the only difference is whumper likes conditioning and lying to heart a lot more. Getting them screaming, getting them BEGGING to not hurt the others after they've already been beat down, barely concerned for themselves... it's delightful for whumper to see.
And the while team, so close with eachother, having to see every other member broken down, even conditioned... it's sickening. Them arguing when they hear the others being self sacrificial, their stomachs dropping as they see the first member give in and lean into whumper's touch, or call them sir...

Prompts for a Hero struggling to balance their Civilian Life

His home was a mess. He hadn't cleaned it in weeks. Dirty clothes were scattered around his bedroom, dirty dishes littered the kitchen. He couldn't think of the last time he had an actual, cooked meal. There was no time for it. No time to do any of it. He spent nearly every waking moment trying to be the good guy. Trying to be the hero that the city was so desperate for. He spent so much time taking care of everyone that he had no time left to take care of himself.
She hadn't had a good night's sleep in forever. The last time she had closed her eyes for more than eight hours, she had been knocked unconscious by an especially powerful villain that she was ill-prepared to fight. Now, as she sat at the desk of her office job, staring blankly at the computer screen, all she wanted to do was close her eyes and curl up on the floor.
Their powers were harder to control when they were tired. Their hold on their concentration would slip, and things would begin to happen around them that no one could explain.
It was hard being a hero. He was helping so many people, doing so many good acts, getting punched and attacked on the daily for the sake of others, and no one knew. No one knew the trials and adversities that he went through for the good of mankind. He was getting nothing out of this hero business besides bruises.
She loved being a hero. She loved to feel the wind in her air and she loved to see the looks on the faces of villains when they saw her. She loved sneaking out of her apartment at night to travel the city. She loved justice being served. What she didn't love, was her empty bank account, her sleepless nights, her dwindling social life...

where do they stand on Pluto, vis a vis its planetary status?

what kink did they learn about by accident on the internet, and they don't have it but they get it
who is their celebrity crush?
who is their small-time personal nemesis, separate from any big bad in the show (think neighbour, coworker, mail carrier etc.) and why do they hate them so much?
what is the last greeting card they bought? what occasion, who did they give it to, and what was the message inside?
what have they been putting off forever, even though it will only take 10 minutes?

I love it when a really strong team leader, who usually speaks in a loud and clear voice, is reduced to soft muttering by whatever pain they’re dealing with. The team members see their leader in some sort of visible discomfort and ask if they’re okay. Despite the fact that leader says they’re fine, the team can tell immediately by the small voice they speak in that they are most certainly not fine.

Hello Whump Community!! I have returned to say that I
HAVE UPDATED THE MASTER LISTS ONCE AGAIN.
I had been ignoring them for a little while due to a few different things, but I decided I should probably, you know, stop doing that, so here we are.
Some new entries to the lists include!!
Species Whump Week 2023 & 2024 ; I have added the Naga Week to the 2023 list, and the Ghost Week to the 2024 list respectively. They are now on a new schedule where they post the prompts ONE WEEK EARLY, so that you have time to plan and prepare ^^
Whumper's Monthly's Monthly Prompt 2024 ; The prompt for January 2024 is "Shot with an Arrow", and has been added to my 2024 prompt list.
Febuwhump 2024 ; Febuwhump 2024 just recently dropped their newest prompt list, and is very excited about their prompt number nine (9) which is "Bees"!! Give it a try and write something whumpy with bees, I'm sure that the folks in the staff would love it <3
The Whumps of March 2024 ; {NEW EVENT!!} A Shakespeare inspired event is going to be happening in March, along with a few others ^^ It's got very interesting prompts, I especially like the quotes, so go and check them out!!
Wollemi Whump Event 2024 ; {NEW EVENT!!} Another March event, this one has fifteen (15) prompts, as opposed to the usual month count of thirty one (31), making it perfect for those new to the community, or busy with other works and life, or anyone else ^^ Please stop by and see for yourself!!

Give your whumpee an impossible task.
Break their fingers and force them to put a shattered plate back together.
Gag them and ask them to recite things for you.
Quiz them on something they know nothing about; or, a personal favorite: have an illiterate whumpee try to read.
Maybe they want to perform well. Maybe they don’t. Doesn’t matter; the outcome is ultimately the same.

She was like snow.
Beautiful at first glance, but
cold and frost bitten to touch.
The longer you spent your days in the wintery landscape the more numbingly cold it got.
She was beautiful, making snow angels
,her hair was littered with snowflakes .
When i looked around i realised we were
completely alone.
An icey blanket that spread out for miles.
I couldn’t wait to spend summer together.
The chill in the air
Makes it hard to breath
The sun shon melting her away.
The longer you held her the faster she
slipped away. Melting. Because of me.
Warmth blossomed in my arms as i was pulled next a fireplace , told
you’d be better without her.
I still wanted snow days. And just like that she’s passed like the seasons but it didn’t get rid of
my hope. The hope wondering if next winter, maybe
just maybe.
It would snow again.
