I read a lot of books so I thought I’d also put down my favourite books as well:
A Good Girls Guide To Murder Book Series by Holly Jackson
Wonderland by Juno Dawson
Twisted Tale series by Elizabeth J. Braswell, Jen Calonita and Elizabeth Lim
And that’s only to name a few. I feel like this will be a long ass list if I listed every book I liked.
I would list my favourite songs but my favourite genre of songs fluctuates too much. In fact I don’t think I have a favourite genre of songs I just listen to a song and I like it. So my list of songs would somehow be longer than my list of books.
Random facts:
My favourite flowers are snow drops, sweet peas and daisies. But snow drops specifically.
I love the colour Burgandy, Alice Blue and Yellow (Preferably a warm pastel)
I despise J.K Rowling but unfortunately she is responsible for an amazing universe 😒
But jokes on her because I’m a Marauders fan so I’m a Ravenclaw (still salty that they changed the colours and mascot in the movie. And now all of the merch is wrong 😑)
I really love The Execution of Lady Jane Grey painting by Paul Delarouche and would love to see it in person.
If you start talking about my favourite shows, films, books or games I will not apologise for the long ass rant I will do, so be prepared to listen 😤
Which brings me on to my next point. If you want me to shut up. Just put on a movie I like (preferably something animated or stop motioned) because I will stop and just stare in wonder like a fucking child.

Where the reader meets Hawkeye when she’s younger and wears hearing aids (in both ears, since I’m partially deaf in both ears as well 😌)
She feels like she can’t be a hero but then she meets Hawkeye and notices the hearing aid and he’s just like
‘Yeah, So do you’
And then a couple years later they meet again and she’s the new agent at Shield

You never thought that a casual Saturday afternoon with friends at the diner would turn into you meeting one of your biggest heroes of all time! “T-that’s H-Hawkeye!” you stuttered with shock of the Avenger sitting only booths away from you and your friends. “Go say hi!!” your best friend nudged you, “no way, I don’t want to bother him” you mumbled but your eyes were glued to him. “This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity, just go say hi, I’m sure he won’t mind” she replied.
With a few shaky footsteps, you approached his booth with more nerves than you’ve ever felt. “H-Hi” you smiled as he looked up at you. “Hey there” he smiled softly back, “I’m sorry to bother you, I just, you’re my biggest hero and I just wanted to say thank you for everything you and the Avengers did to keep us safe” your smile grew bigger. “Thanks kid! What’s your name?” he asked. “Y/n” you replied happily.
“Well, it’s great to meet you Y/n and an honour to keep you safe” he took the pen from his crosswords in the paper and a napkin, “sorry it’s nothing cool to sign” he chuckled as he scribbled his autograph on the napkin. “Oh, this is better than anything I have at home!” you chuckled with him, “I actually want to be a hero, like you! But” you paused, your eyes falling to your feet but not before they caught the hearing aid he was wearing. “You have a hearing aid?” you asked, not rudely but surprised. “I do” he stopped his pen from finishing his signature, “Looks like you also do” he adds. “In both hears” you turn your head side to side to show him, “that’s what stops me from going after my dream of being a hero” you added with a saddened tone.
“Why would that stop you? You can do anything if you’re willing to deal with the risks and sacrifices” he looks you in the eyes, “I don’t let my hearing aid stop me from doing what I want, why should you?” he adds. His words instantly restoring the dream that has grown so deeply in your heart.
“Thank you! You’re right, I hope I can meet you again, maybe we could fight bad guys together” you joked (not really a joke though, you’d love that!). “You never know, kid, we just might” he smiles and hands you the napkin back. “See you around and remember, you can do it, I believe in you” he smiles once more before you thank him again and return to your friends.
“So! what did he say?!” one of your friends asked, you looked down at the signed napkin and smiled “Y/n, chase that dream! You’ll be an amazing hero!” it read with his autograph on the bottom. “Nothing” you gently placed the napkin in your purse, wanting to keep the interacting special to yourself and him.
Fast forward 12 years later and you’ve landed a job a S.H.E.I.L.D as a new agent! You take your job serious and do your best to not let anything get in your way. You were getting a takeaway coffee just before heading to the office behind you heard a familiar voice behind you.
“I heard Shield got a new agent”
You turned around and were greeted with a smiling Clint! “Hawk! Hi” you hugged him without thinking, like you’d known him your entire life (you sort of did) and he didn’t seem to might when he hugged you back, “I told you that you could do it” he smiled. “I can’t believe this, you remember me? After so long?” you were in shock.
“I recognised your name in the paper, ‘Agent Y/N Y/L/N’ had a ring to it” he explained. “Wow, you have no idea how much I’ve waited to meet you again, I wouldn’t have done any of this if it wasn’t for you that day, I met you”
“Kid, you did this all by yourself, I just gave you a little push and I am very proud, I told you that the hearing aids wouldn’t get in the way” he winked. Just hearing him say he was proud of you made you tear up, “I’m sorry” you chocked, wiping the tears, “I just, I needed that” you added. Clint hugged you once more, “you’ve got this, kid!” he whispered just before your order was called.

Right!
I’m a female so I’m lucky to be able to have such a wide range of fanfics but I have so many friends who can’t read them because they’re mostly all female stories.
We need to stop specific gender x readers.
There is a time for them, for example. If you’re trans and you want to feel validated then sure yeah. Go read an fem/male x reader. If the character is canonically gay then yeah use their preferred gender. If it’s a smut sure go mention that the reader is assigned fem/male at birth but continue to use they/them pronouns.
It’s an x reader!
That means the reader inserts themselves into the fanfic. Not into the body of who ever you made up.
For the love of god stop putting just reader if it’s a female reader.
I’m a guy and it’s annoying to read something and it always being female reader. Unfortunately it’s not only chicks that like characters (shocking I know) so please put f!reader if it’s a female reader and m!reader if it’s a male reader. putting reader only makes it seem like a gender neutral fic and it’s annoying to think it’s a gender neutral just to find out it’s some blond haired blue eyed girl built like a twig. I’ve never seen this problem with male readers because they always label it right it’s just female readers. (this apples to practically all fics on this platform also I’m writing this sleep deprived so don’t be insulting me for every little mistake)
