For our third introduction story, we've got:

Ava (Made and Written by Holly)

About her:

Shy. That's the first word that comes to mind when describing Ava. It's strange because her whole life she's had to talk to people she's never met even though that's the thing she hates most.

Her parents are wealthy, they live this "glamorous" lifestyle and people are always telling Ava "you can never complain about anything because you live such an amazing life". In reality, it was far from amazing. Her parents are hardly around, going on work trips or out at some fancy restaurant with their colleagues. She is an only child and has been alone most of her life. Her big house just feels empty. She goes to a public school, which is a surprise to her parents friends since their kids go to some fancy private school. She's glad that she doesn't go to one of them though because she's always felt like that lifestyle wasn't for her.

Ava has anxiety and going to school everyday made her so stressed, even just sitting in class makes her anxious. Kids are judgy, especially young kids. From a young age, Ava's been criticized by her classmates for "not smiling enough" because apparently, according to them, if you are rich you always have to be happy. Which is of course not true.

Her parents don't seem to care for any of her achievements. One day, when she was in year two, she had won a prize at school for "best writer" she tried to show her mum even though she was on the phone. "Mum look what I got at school today!" Ava said excitedly. "Ava, I don't care, there's more important stuff going on. Can't you see I'm on the phone?" Her mum responded angrily. That night Ava didn't leave her room once. She skipped dinner and cried until she couldn't anymore. The next morning her eyes stung. She got on the school bus without saying much to her parents. Her eyes were puffy and red from all the crying.

She was sitting in class when she felt someone tap her shoulder. It was a girl with dirty blonde hair and big brown eyes. "Hey are you okay?" The girl whispered. "Um... yeah I- um... I'm fine" Ava replied with a shaky voice. "I'm Scarlett by the way" the girl said. "I'm Ava" Ava said shaking Scarlett's hand. Ever since that day, Scarlett and Ava have been inseparable, soon after they became friends with Bug. Then Blake, Isabella, Natalia, Wanda and Cameron joined the group.

For the first time in what feels like forever, Ava doesn't feel alone. She has people in her life who actually care about her.

Favourite song: 505- Arctic Monkeys

Favourite film/s: The Fear Street trilogy

Favourite tv show: Stranger Things

Nationality: Welsh

Friends: Bug, Blake, Ava, Isabella, Cam (Trying their best to become friends with Natalia and Wanda)

Closest friend: Ava

About her in general:

Scarlet always made friends with people since they were a small child, they were just the friendly happy type which made everyone like her, but she was always friends with Ava since year 1 of primary and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They will always be seen walking around the hallways holding hands and Sacrlett actually, really likes her... like a lot. They say they’re straight to the people who don't know her, but the closet is glass.

Anyways, they have always been “perfect” her whole life, no matter what: grades, personality, looks etc. and after a while everyone started thinking that they just wanted attention and that’s why she’s so good at everything, which was just wrong, but everyone believed it and all kind of turned against her in year 5 which made her go through a really rough patch, with bullying, getting nasty looks down the hall way, hearing whispers whenever they walk past someone, which is why she decided to move school in year 6 and Ava had to go with her cause they would never leave eachother. Which is when they both met Bug, a lonely, very green boy sat on the swings, humming and looking around for something.

They both decided to walk up to him and ask what he’s up to. “Hi! My name's Scarlett, she's Ava, and we couldn’t help but think you look a little lonely, do you want to hang out with us?” to which the boy looked up at them both and said “Hi! My names bug, I'm 11 years old, I love green as you can see and all nature. I would love to hang out with you guys, but right now I'm just looking for my pet butterfly, if you want to help?” Ava and Scarlett stood there stunned that someone so small could say that many things so fast, but they both agreed and got the butterfly. “What’s this little creature called?” Scarlett asked and Bug just said, “Moss”. They hung out there for an hour just talking about their favourite movies and stuff and they all became the best of friends.

After year 7, Scarlett started getting lots of comments about her body that made her extremely uncomfortable. If they were walking down the street in something, like a dress or a crop top, they’d hear all sorts of old gross men whistling at her or saying stuff like “How about I take you home?” and just giving them weird looks in general. And as soon as Ava found out, she was disgusted and said that she’d walk with them wherever they went to stop that happening, and if it did, Ava would immediately have a go at them. And that’s why scarlett only wears big baggy clothes now, to prevent anything like that happening anymore.

They had a sister but she got taken away when scarlett was 9 because of her anger issues. Scarlett would constantly hear stuff like glass shattering and doors slamming everyday to the point that as soon as they got home from school, she’d run straight to her room, lock the door and watch the telly, full volume. When their sister left, she was sad for a day or two but after that she was relieved that she was going somewhere that could actually take care of her and not constantly argue with her.

In year 7, Blake had joined their friend group and Scarlett always thought that they were keeping secrets, just the way they never smiled and smoked all the time, wore long sleeves no matter the weather, it had always made her think something was going on with them but she never asked cause they know that when people ask how you’re feeling it just makes you feel worse if you aren’t feeling good and lie. But a few months after that, Isabella got introduced to the friend group and scarlett was so happy to become friends with her cause they looked so happy and kind all the time, no matter the circumstances and that made scarlett think that they would just be an amazing friend, and that she was. They made such good friends and Ava did get a little jealous, but never confronted them because she didn’t want to be a burden.

In year 8, Wanda and Natalia got introduced to the group but for some reason they never tried to make friends with Scarlett, which made her think that she did something to put them off, but they didn’t. Scarlett would walk up to Wanda and Natalia and say “Hi, how are you?” with a nice smile, waving and they’d both say “Fine” and speed walk away from her. She would always go and ask Ava why they disliked her but Ava just said “They just don’t know you well enough, they’ll like you eventually” Scarlett never said anything after Ava said that, but in their mind she was just thinking “I have tried but they just don’t care”.

A few months ago, Cam got introduced to the group and literally everyone notices how excited Bug gets whenever Cam's around and how Cam is always blushing or smiling whenever they’re around eachother. It’s so painfully obvious that they like eachother but they, for some reason, just can’t see it. But it does make a good laugh for everyone watching them, stumble their words and acting really awkward when talking, but at the same time really naturally happy and just like cute. Ava, Isabella, Blake and Scarlett all find it hilarious whenever they talk and normally Scarlett and Blake start tearing up and turning red of laughter.

Scarlett was always seen as the friendly kind hearted person ever since she was just a baby, which had ended up putting this ridiculous standard on them to be the best and always smile and never show any emotion except happiness, which really took a toll on her mentally recently. Even people that their close friends with get upset at her when she’s not happy 24/7 and it makes them think that she’s the problem. They stay up all night studying and doing homework and get around 45 minutes of sleep each night but always appears happy, awake and alive. They always bottle her emotions up and never lets anyone know how she feels so they all assume they’re happy no matter what. But other than that she’s perfectly fine.

Favourite film: The Princess and The Frog

Favourite show: The Owl House

Nationality: Irish

Friends: Blake, Scarlett, Ava, Isabella, Wanda, Cam and Natalia

Closest friend: Cam and Blake

About him in general:

Bug is a very sweet and kind kid, his actual name is Barnaby (I know, Barnaby) after his Grandfather but he didn't exactly like that name for multiple reasons so he took on the nickname 'Bug' and well, it's stuck with everyone.

His favourite things in the world are books and the colour green... oh, and his best friend Cam. He loves all his friends, they're all the kindest people ever.

He's been picked on for a lot of things, he's always had very feminine features so that's been a subject of bullying, along with his accent after moving from Ireland to Blackpool when he was 9, his autism he was diagnosed with when he was 3 and a few other things. Though, the bullying almost completely stopped when he met Scarlett and Ava, it was like having a pair of bodyguards almost anywhere he went, and that pair of bodyguards turned into a squad when Isabella and later Blake joined, then there was Nat and Wanda who joined when Bug was in year 7, and finally... ✨️ Cameron ✨️.

Cam only joined the group a couple months ago after being friends with Bug a couple months longer. Bug met him for the first time in the hallway of their school after Cam had just moved schools and became really, really close after Bug stood up to some bullies for Cam (which isn't very normal for Bug's quiet, shy self). At first, he was worried that Blake might get a little jealous after being friends with Bug for so long and Bug now having a new best friend, but luckily Blake reassured him that they weren't jealous.

It was only a couple days into Cam and Bug's friendship that Bug realised how much he actually liked Cam, and well... Bug makes it really obvious too, almost the whole friend group can tell except for Cameron who seems to be completely oblivious.

Bug only started questioning his sexuality when he was around 12 and must have gone through every sexuality under the sun before settling on omnisexual, so this is his first proper crush on a boy and to be honest it's very painful. Just the little things Cam does make his heart skip a beat, like when he leans on Bug's head, or when he calls him Greenie, or when he gets things from high places for him and well, Bug could go on forever about them sort of things.

He also questions his gender a lot, he doesn't know what it is but there's just something that doesn't feel right. It's not his pronouns or his name, but there's just something that isn't right. He calls it: Gender-Fuck Knows.

He likes reading, all kinds of genres. His favourite book being Harry Potter: The Order of The Phoenix.

Right now, Bug's quite content with his life, the only thing he'd change is getting the courage to speak up more about all sorts of things, especially being able to tell Cam how he feels. But that will have to wait... for now :)

PLEASE READ BEFORE READING ANYTHING ELSE ON MY PAGE!

As my first post I will just go over all of our OC's and and the basics that you need to know before reading the full and proper first stories, so, let's start this off with the one who started this all:

Bug (Made by Poppy)

He's Omnisexual, uses He/Him pronouns and is from Ireland, his favourite colour is green and he loves anything that is green, if green was a person, he would marry them. He questions his gender all the time but then again, who doesn't? He's 14 years old and lives in Blackpool with his mum, Sharon, his dad, Darren, his best friend, Blake, and his kitten, Ralph. Everyone loves Bug and protects him with all their hearts.

Scarlett (Made by Leo)

Shes gay, uses She/They pronouns and reads occasionally. Their favourite artists are: Girl in Red, Mitski, Conan Gray and Nirvana, she plays Zelda and waters their plants in her free time, their favourite show is Stranger Things and her favourite movies are the Fear Street trilogy.

Ava (Made by Holly)

This is Ava, she uses She/Her pronouns and is a lesbian (as shown). She's kinda shy, especially around newer people, her favourite artists are Girl in Red and Taylor Swift but she occasionally listens to the neighbourhood.

Blake (Made by Leo)

This is Blake, they are a nonbinary, asexual. They smoke even though they know they shouldn't, never get enough sleep and always listen to Nirvana, The Neighbourhood and Arctic Monkeys. Their favourite movie is Scream and favourite show is Euphoria, which everyone was very surprised about.

Isabella (Made by Holly)

She uses She/They pronouns and is pansexual. They are super kind to literally everyone and typically known as "the mum friend". Her favourite artists are Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Conan Gray.

Natalia (Made by Chloe)

Her name is Natalia, she’s lesbian, she’s 17, uses She/Her pronouns and she hates men due to the fact that they control her life EVERY GODDAMN DAY. She has a younger sister who’s ace called Elena. Elenas favourite song is Miss American Pie. She has a girlfriend called Wanda. She’s a total badass and doesn’t take shit from nobody. On the outside she’s emotionally detached however inside she’s depressed and lonely. She smokes but doesn’t drink or do drugs. She adores The Killers and AC/DC. Her favourite flower is a white rose. She does ballet. Her family are eastern european. She’s trained in boxing, kickboxing, k1, grappling, brazilian jiu jitsu, tae kwon do and she can speak 23 different languages including English, French, German and Russian. She has trauma due to her and her sister being illegally trafficked multiple times at a young age. She just wants to live with her girlfriend and sister in peace.

Wanda (Made by Chloe)

Her name is Wanda, she’s 16, she’s lesbian, uses She/Her pronouns and has a girlfriend called Natasha. She seems like a sweet happy girl but underneath the smile is a whole entire life of trauma: from her parents demise to her brother Peter drowning in front of her. She tries to keep up a happy façade but around Natalia she knows she can be her true self. She gets hit on by multiple guys always saying they “can turn her straight” but Natalia just beats them up then makes them apologise. Her brother Peter passed away when she was 14 and they were twins. Their parents died in a terrible car accident when she and Peter were 9, leaving them with no one. They grew up together without anyone else, and they would never shy away from standing up for their morals. Wanda and Peter would rally and protest frequently on many topics from the sale of weapons to gay rights, you name it. Wanda is also from european descent being from Sokovia. She loves soups and warm foods like paprikash, which is a traditional dish. Her girlfriend, Natalia, isn’t a good cook but she learnt to make paprikash just for Wanda, also Wanda is the only one who can hug Natalia without getting their neck snapped.

Cam (Made by Poppy)

This is Cameron, he is a transgender, gay, man who uses he/him pronouns. He's always had a lot of criticism for multiple things like: his race, skin condition, sexuality, gender... even sometimes by his own community for keeping his birth name. But then he met Bug, the kindest person Cam has ever met, he calls him Greenie because of his love of the colour. Cameron is quite a bit taller than Bug and loves leaning on his head as an arm rest. Bug has always been very shy and quiet but he surprised Cam one day when he stood up for Cameron because some bullies were taking the mick out of his skin condition, that was when Bug and Cam became almost inseparable. Little do both of them know, they both have the fattest crush on each other (Bug having fallen first, but Cam having fallen harder). It's painfully obvious to almost everyone except for each other, making it extremely entertaining for the others.
