Eddie wrote most the songs for Corroded Coffin, the other boys always loved the songs so they happily let him take that role in the band. You always love it when Eddie sings the odd song, but knowing he’d be singing a song he wrote about you made you even more excited for the show.

After a few drinks and the warm up bands, you moved over to your spot in the crowd, right in front of where Eddie stands on stage. The Hellfire club members were surrounding you in the crowd, along with your other friends, Steve, Robin and Nancy. They weren’t exactly the biggest fan of metal music, but they sang along to all Corroded Coffin’s songs every Friday. The four boys walk on stage as the lights dim, the crowd welcoming them with chants and screams. Eddie winks at you as he picks up his guitar, grabbing a pick off of the mic stand and placing himself directly in front of you. They play their usual set, the audience going wild, singing every lyric right back at them. “Alright everyone, time for the last song!” Eddie shouts, met with screams again. “Once again, we are Corroded Coffin! Thank you all for an amazing show! We have a new song to finish the show tonight, hope you love it.” Robin elbows you in the side, knowing it must be the song Eddie wrote for you. You smirk up at your boyfriend. “It’s a bit of a different sound then what we’re used to, but we think you’ll really like it! This is ‘Closer’!”

Eddie is only slightly playing along on his guitar, letting the other boys take the lead, allowing him to focus on singing. “You let me violate you..” Eddie starts, your eyes widen, a smirk forming on his lips, carrying on with the song, his eyes not moving from yours through the whole song. His hands are on the microphone, giving up with his guitar until the instrumentals. “Help me get away from myself, I wanna fuck you like an animal.” The first lines of the chorus, Eddie’s fingers tilt your chin up to him as he continues singing. Your friends can’t believe what he’s singing, the rest of the crowd going crazy to the new song. The lyrics are driving you crazy, now realising exactly what special night he was referring to.

“My whole existence is flawed, you get me closer to God.” Eddie sings before an instrumental, leaning down to grab your face and kiss you passionately before going back to the guitar. The Hellfire members and your friends laugh and are now cheering him on. The band carry on with the song, Eddie now playing up to the crowd but keeping his attention on you. “You are the reason, I stay alive.” Eddie sings the last lyrics before the band finish off the set with a long outro. All the members place down their instruments, coming to the front of the stage saying their goodbyes and bowing as everyone chants their name. The other three boys walk down the side stairs of the stage, walking into the crowd to find their friends, but Eddie grabs your hand, pulling you backstage with him.

He guides you to their dressing room, locking the door, sitting on the couch and pulling you onto his lap. “What did you think, baby?” Eddie asks, wrapping his hands around your waist. “My god, Eds.
