Doubt anyone should think to build a summer home there, but the atmosphere created by the super-lethal-jellyfish-tree's... vines? tentacles? ... really is quite lovely.

...and Hyperlane Nomads is back from hiatus! Quite the cliffhanger last update as the odds were stacking against the protagonist squad here.
I was wondering when the tree of deadly tendril/vines was going to make another appearance - and while I’m concerned for protagonists utilizing the tree as protection in some capacity, as a plant person I am thrilled at the prospect of the carnivorous tree obtaining some nutritional enrichment.

A Howl’s Moving Castle - Calcifer piece done for 2022 Inktober’s prompt “flame.”
5 x 7 on card stock, ink.
Finding the middle ground between a believable rendering of Calcifer and my hatching-heavy traditional inking style was a bit challenging but once the colors were added everything started looking cohesive.

Study of Ekko from Arcane. Pencil on card stock, approximately 1.5hrs.
Because he’s an interesting character and there’s a scene where he’s talking to Vi and leaning over a balcony and the composition was really beautiful (same as every other frame of this show - but still.)
I also tend to get lost in the sauce of so many fan art ideas that are solid pencil sketches, but go into the digital rendering void stage and never return. Pencil is so versatile and low pressure, might do some more studies.

Been on a bit of a Star Wars break the last few months, hiatus on consuming or producing content of the like - a byproduct of some creative/existential burnout. Effort and creative juices have been rebooted with the onset of spring, but generally reallocated to more traditional, original pieces, and non-Star Wars fandom works for the time being.
Will be back at it with the Star Wars content, but only when there’s something worthwhile to upload.
That said, IT IS Star Wars day - AND there’s a new Hyperlane Nomads page - and it is beautiful!
