I am being so serious when I say: if you have the financial and time privilege to get a group of friends together and make an indie project, PLEASE do. Indie games, indie animations, indie comics etc etc
the art industries are kind of in the shitter. It’s not so much because of AI (though that doesn’t help) but because studios just aren’t hiring people and funding projects anymore. People who’ve been in the industry for decades are finding themselves struggling, and once you have a mortgage or kids it’s harder to do something as risky as making something on your own.
completing projects is hard. it takes a lot of time and effort, and most people can’t afford it. so if you CAN afford to make art, even at the risk of no financial gain, I strongly encourage you to be as resilient as you can. We’re at a point where these industries are not going to turn around by themselves, and waiting for jobs to open up again in order to get experience and portfolio work might not be realistic.
people have been making art and telling stories longgggg before we were getting paid for it, and people aren’t going to stop just because no one has hired them to do so.
for everyone else: support indie artists when you can!!!! That person who made that cool indie game or youtube animation or webcomic might be doing this full time! your support might be the only reason they’re able to keep doing it.

working in retail puts you in the backseat of human interaction.
in some ways, it's awful; you feel invisible, like an answering machine.
in others, it's beautiful. at times i enjoy nothing more than observing.
i get to see every side of human relationships- or most- with no context.
i get to see the bright, joyous smile on a woman's face as she meets her husband's gaze, amused by something humorous and dad-like that he said.
i get the privilege of seeing the joy in her eyes without knowing the other sides of it- the ugly sides of it.
i don't have to wonder if they will get into their car and yell at each other over something menial.
i tend to anyway, but i don't have to.

Ranking TAZ PCs by their willingness and ability to kill Santa
Tres Horny Boys. Did kill Santa at least once.
Poppy's Pals. My logic here is I imagine all three of them have beef with Santa, but especially Montrose. I feel this deep in my soul. they def def def would kill santa and also have the means to.
Coriolis Crew. Ok hear me out on this Zoox and Devo don't know who Santa is and I think Amber def has beef with Santa for getting her the wrong thing for chirstmas a child. So Amber does definitely convince zoox and Devo to kill Santa if they come across him, but they wouldn't like seek him out.
The Thundermen. (sourced from @cambriascall) "All you would have to do is send Fitzroy a letter from Goodcastle that says he has to kill Santa to become a knight and he would do it. The Firbolg would go along with it (would destroy capitalism) and Argo is hesitant at first but Fitzroy could get him there".
The Pine Guard. I don't think any of them have particular beef with Santa. Ned would probably end up accidentally toppling him off the roof and becoming Santa. Just like the movie.
