So I might be starting a new job soon and I'm kinda scared to ask them to use my preferred name (which is may) and not my legal name (Katelynn) my friend helped me find the name may when I was just coming out as non binary and it makes me just feel really good like I'm a regular person instead of like a girl person. Should I ask to go by may or have them call me but my birth name? Kinda want to be called may but also kinda scared

May I get a matchup? I’m a Scorpio, aside from the fact that I’m a total bottom. I can be mean and sarcastic but I’m actually pretty friendly and gentle. *You met Luka a couple months ago when the clinic called you. They told you how they had a baby horse (aren't they called faols? Fauls?? Not today, today they baby horses) the clinic thought that you could home the poor baby horse till they found it a proper home. You agreed and came round the back of the clinic only to see this giant Minotaur cuddling this horse to himself like he was holding a baby. You had quietly walked up to him as to not startle the wee lil horse, you both chatted for a while and he explained how he had found her roaming around in his back yard(you later find out his back yard is a whole farm!) He often comes over to your house to check on the wee one as he calls her.
PRESENT TIME
Luka smiled and greeted you warmly before he saw the rabbit in your arms who clearly had a broken leg. He ushered you in to medic room where he had you hand them to the doc on call there. After making sure the animal was going to be taken care of he walked you back to your car and leaned awkwardly against it. He scratched the back of his neck and toed at the ground before asking if maybe youd want to go back to his place to maybe let him cook for you. He explained how he really liked you, liked how sarcastic and friendly you were. Liked how you cared for the animals like they were people. How caring you are and how you always made him laugh. You grab his hand to shut up his rambling and smiled. You told him you'd like that very much.
