hygiene tips for the girlies

-silk pillow cases have so many benefits for your skin and hair
-always moisturize after baths/showers
-rubbing ice on your face or using a cold jade roller can reduce face puffiness in the mornings
-bad breath? use a tongue scraper
-ALWAYS take ur makeup off before bed! trust you'll regret it if you don't
-cut ur nails often, to keep them healthy!
-wash your clothes before you wear them again, especially if they smell!
-don't wear pads/panty liners every day unless ur on ur period
-use a non scented soap down there, it prevents infections, it's also a self cleaning organ so you don't need body washes to make it smell nicer
-remember to clean behind your ears after u wash your hair. soap can build up there!
-roll on deodorant stays on longer and are the most effective
-drink more water than usual whilst on ur period!
-don't wear a sweaty bra the next day, wash it!
-NEVER dry shave!
-never wear bras to bed! it can cause damage to the breast tissue! if u want support wear a wireless bralette
-don't EVER sleep with tampons in, it's really dangerous
-wear 100% cotton underwear so the air can circulate down there
-for rapid hair growth, wash with rice water!
-invest in a body brush! it gets all ur dead skin off before showers

[💌] hi loves! 💓 today’s blog is about different study techniques! I decided to classify them into two different categories; “test yourself! - active recall” and “study profoundly! - effective studying”. i hope these study methods are helpful for you! <3

SECTION ONE | TEST YOUSELF! – ACTIVE RECALL
-             BLURTING METHOD
The blurting method is a revision technique using active recall. It can be applied in different ways, for example by reading a section of notes and writing down as much information as you remember without looking at the text, or can be used to practice spaced repetition by writing down everything you remember about a certain subject.
When you test yourself over and over again you’re learning in an active way, thus making your strong recall muscle work harder, which you activate when you use this method, making it effective.
The most important thing about blurting is that you’re challenging yourself to think harder. By doing that you will retain information for a longer period of time.
STEPS:
Make sure you thoroughly understand the material and subject.
Take a piece of paper and write down everything you remember.
Mark your work. Write down everything you forgot. I highly recommend doing this in another color. Always pay attention to detail and highlight the information you missed so you know what you need to focus on.
Attentively go through the material again and try to remember as much as possible. Pay attention to things you’re more likely to get wrong (again).
Keep doing it until you feel like you remember everything.
🎀 The blurting method is a really profound studying method so remember to take breaks!

-             QUESTION BLANK METHOD (FLASHCARDS)
The question blank method is a study technique where you cover up the answers or key information in your notes or study material, leaving blanks that you can fill in as you test yourself or review the material.
This method helps you actively engage with the content and test your knowledge. Since you use active recall, this method helps you reinforce your memory.
STEPS:
Read one paragraph of a chapter and turn as much as you can of it into questions. Do the same thing for the entire chapter.
Cover up the key terms or answers in your notes and try to recall them without peeking.
Additionally, you can create flashcards with the questions on one side and the answers on the other, covering the answers as you quiz yourself.

-             FEYNMAN TECHNIQUE
The Feynman technique is a study method where you explain a concept – essentially simplifying the concept – as if you were teaching it to someone else. This technique helps you identify any gaps in your understanding and simplifies complex ideas. This forces you to break down the material into simpler terms, making it easier to remember and comprehend.
You can combine the Feynman technique with any other study method since it helps simplify complex material and solidify your understanding, making it a versatile tool for learning.
STEPS:
Study the subject and focus on understanding it thoroughly.
Teach it to yourself or anyone else.
Find the gaps in your knowledge and try to fill them.
Simplify the material.

SECTION TWO | STUDY PROFOUNLDY! – EFFECTIVE STUDYING
-             SQ4R   METHOD
(survey – question – read – relate – recite  – review)
The SQ4R method stands for survey, question, read, relate, recite and review. It’s a study method that involves actively engaging with the material by previewing, questioning, reading, reflecting, reciting, and reviewing the content.
This is a helpful technique to improve comprehension and retention while studying.
STEPS:
Survey;
1a. Look at the chapter title and section titles. What do the captions discuss?
1b. Look quickly over charts and graphs.
1c. Summarize and try to get a sense of what the assigned material is covering.
2. Question;
2a. Turn the chapter and section titles into questions.
2b. Read the questions at the beginning or end of the chapter and sections.
2c. Did your instructor cove this information in a lecture or lab? – What do you already know about the subject matter?
2d. Sometimes its helpful to write these questions down so that you can refer to them during your reading.
3. Read;
3a. Read the answers the questions you wrote out (the ones about the content).
3b. Pay attention to captions and section summaries.
3c. Bold, underlined and italicized words and phrases are noteworthy.
3d. Stop and reread if not clear.
3e. Slow down if you need to; quality over quantity.
4. Relate;
4a. Try to link new information to concepts or previous information to what you are familiar with. This could include basic knowledge and everyday information you consume.
4b. How does this new concept relate to the concepts you already know? Does it relate? Why and how?
4c. How does the reading relate to your lecture notes? What are the discrepancies (differences).
5. Recite;
5a. Ask your questions aloud. Answer the questions you can without looking at the text.
5b. If you need to, revisit the text to answer the questions you found difficult.
5c. Recite key terms and concepts.
5d. Practice all the information aloud and pay attention to things you forgot about.
5e. How would you put the information in your own words?
6. Review;
6a. When finished reading, go back over the chapter and your notes/questions one final time.
6b. Review is ongoing, so take a little time each day to go over your notes and readings for each class.

Mind mapping, a technique that allows you to visually organize information in a diagram. First, you write a word in the center of a blank page. From there, you write major ideas and keywords and connect them directly to the central concept.
This helps you visually organize information in a way that’s easy to understand and remember. It allows you to see connections between different concepts, making it easier to recall and recognize information during exams or while studying.
STEPS:
Begin with a central idea or topic in the center of a page.
Branch out with main categories.
For each main category, create sub-branches to represent subtopics or subcategories.
Keep sub-branching ideas to expand you mind map.

✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🧼 First things first, after you wake up make sure to drink water to boost your metabolism throughout the day! Also, create a mind movie so you can watch it everyday after you wake up.
Now, take your journal and start writing about your dream, ideal higher self, ask yourself questions like ‘What reality do i want to create?´ 'Who do i look up to?’ ‘What is the behavior I need to change about myself?’ ‘What's a new habit that I would like to create?’ ‘What is a thing I can focus on right now?’. After we have in mind who we want to become, it's important that every little decision you make today is centered to achieve your goals, and become your dream self. You can listen to a podcast while doing this so you get motivation!
💶 Then, head to the bathroom and look at yourself in the mirror and start repeating positive affirmations, such as ‘I am so beautiful’ or ‘My hair looks so pretty today’, even if you don't believe it, having a positive mindset is going to help us to stay in track with our goals!
Take care of your teeth, Liz says that our smile is one of the most important things in a person, and one of the key things that is going to make you more attractive! so, make sure to brush your teeth, floss, clean your tongue, etc.
🛣 Liz has a rather simple skincare routine, since her skin is so sensitive, it only consists of using a foam cleanser, moisturizer and eye cream to help with her eye bags.
Next step is to research and find our own personal clothing and makeup style, find out your body type, personal color, face shape, etc. It doesn't matter if you have to mix multiple styles that already exist to make your own! The most important thing is to feel comfortable while wearing those clothes or having that type of makeup on your face.
🏔 Liz doesn't like to force herself to have breakfast, she just dont eat if she's not hungry, however if you are hungry rather than focusing on calories focus on how nutritious your meal is. Whatsoever if you are not hungry and you are not going to eat, make sure to always take your vitamins and supplements!

Yes, it's time to drink a little more water!
⛰ Liz doesn't have a settled study routine but, it's important to spend our time wisely, if you can finish an assignment way before the time it's due, DO IT! Also, she emphasized that knowledge leads to confidence. If you put effort in your studies, every little thing in your life will slowly fall into place.

First, set healthy goals, like toning up your body or building muscle, try not to make ‘just being skinny’ your goal.
🧩 second, don't measure yourself with a scale or measuring tape and focus on how you look in the mirror, are you satisfied? if you are then you are done with the intense workout routine!
Liz goes to the gym and has her own personal training program, but here’s some kind of exercises she recommends; weight training, pilates and dancing with her main focus being toning up her abs and butt.
🏄‍♀️ Remember to drink water and that consistency is more important than perfection, go at your own pace, it doesn't matter if you can't do a 2 hour workout and look snatched in 3 days and you can only do a 5 minute workout, every little effort adds up!

✸ ꒰ shower and self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
Before showering, do dry brushing to exfoliate your skin and increase circulation (1-2 times per week). Then use shampoo and conditioner, research to find the best one for you, what may help others won't help you. Liz also uses a hair mask 1 to 2 times per week to get that shiny silk hair.
🎾 After showering take some time to shape and pluck your eyebrows depending on your face shape and what impression you want to give! 
Liz uses face masks 1 to 2 times per week to cleansing her face deeply, then she does her skincare. After applying all the products do a lymphatic massage on your face and neck, you can also cool down your face with massagers or cold spoons for an extra depuff.
🍾 For self care, you can journal again, search for shadow work prompts, think of what things you should unlearn and relearn and don't forget to practice gratitude. Or you can take time to clean your room or house, you deserve to have a clean safe place! 
Oh! and don't forget to drink water again.

🧃 Time for dinner! (only if you are not full yet), again, make sure to focus on nutrients rather than calories. Don't forget to drink a glass of water with your dinner. You can watch a documentary while eating to keep gaining even more knowledge.
Now, do your oral hygiene routine again. Also, put on eyelash conditioner and serum to wake up with perfect lashes! Then wear a silk cap or do a protective hairstyle to protect your hair from getting damaged while you're sleeping.
🍵 Then get in bed and drink a cup of tea with collagen to start relaxing your body. and it's finally time to manifest! watch your mind movie again and use your most useful method (affirming visualizing, subliminals, etc.), don't forget to ask god, the universe or whatever you believe in for signals and help!
Afterwards, you can read an inspirational book like ‘atomic habits’ or ‘the art of thinking clearly’ to keep nourishing your brain. keep a reachable goal like reading 5 pages everyday and then decide if you want to continue reading or not.
🥬 Before sleeping listen to a guided meditation, liz have one to be more confident and one to attract money, choose one that aligns with your goals!
Finally fall asleep in a healthy sleeping position, Liz sleeps in her back looking at the roof, but you can choose your favorite position, don't forget to get a pillow that fits the position (example: tall and lofty pillow -> for sleeping on your side)
