💀what the fuck- some of these things are insane like…i mean i hate physical contact but saying happy birthday or matching clothes is romantic? What?? I also like to give people meaningful gifts only-
Also the laugh at each other’s jokes etc. like…basically friendships are love? Wdym??

I’m having a crisis because i can’t see the difference between romantic love and friendship- like, in my head romantic love is just friendship with kisses and hugs. Plus, i’m also doubting my aromanticism because of people trying to convince me i’m not aro 😭. I saw a theatre show who had this plot. It talked about a guy who hated himself and was obsessed with relationships and love. I felt so represented when he felt so sad that he was left and realized he didn’t genuinely feel that feelings. However, I was SO disappointed to see that it ended it with him getting in love with a random girl he met 5 minutes before the end and that suddenly, without any explanation, he resolved also all his problems
You've heard of the character who is disinterested in romance but suddenly changes their mind and gets into a relationship by the end of the story, now consider:
Character who starts out as a hopeless romantic obsessed with the idea of love and after some introspection realizes they're aromantic

“You don’t know you’re ace/aro, you might feel attraction later” and??? That’s true for most other orientations too. Any straight person might be attracted to someone of the same gender later on. If they don’t say “I’m straight at the moment, but I might be bi someday you never know teehee,” then I think they can deal with me saying I’m aroace.
