this might be a hot take but

my main issue with roleslaying with roman is that there are so many dnd play-through podcast/videos/whatever (taz, critical role, d20, NADDPOD, etc.) and as an avid player, it's weird seeing such short sessions. obvi thomas sanders' videos are never particularly long, but every episode of the adventure zone (balance, amnesty, graduation, ethersea) i listen to or dimension 20 i watch (tiny heist, mismag, that's really it i'm not a big fantasy high gal) always is around an hour and a half, and the campaigns i am actively a part of sometimes take up to six hours before we find a steady stopping point. (like today. today was a six hour sesh and it was AWESOME, but it was six hours and i'm exhausted)

now i'm not saying that they should do six hour long episodes for RwR, but i haven't really felt a flow that other campaigns (some of which i've been a party member for) seem to have. it's missing that raw, crunchy, almost-awkward but in a funny way type of vibe. maybe it's because the party is made up of TWO PEOPLE (for those who don't play, i'd say 4-7—excluding the dm—is best), maybe it's that it doesn't seem as though either thomas or terrence are very knowledgeable, or maybe that this campaign simply doesn't feel that groundbreaking. maybe i'm overly critical (ha), but it just doesn't feel authentic
