Learning 3 languages simultaneously is surprisingly helpful. I remember words easier when I connect them to other languages. Pronunciation is the real struggle.

I gave myself 2 days to write and record a 1000 word assessment… currently on day 2 with 7 hours before it’s due and only 30% of the whole thing is done… WHY did I do this to myself 😭 at least I got my other assessments done and out of the other day. I need better time management 💀

Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window.
— William Faulkner.

modern academia
black and white, the a very short introduction series, sweating chess.com, staying up all night to study and falling asleep to the sound of birdsong outside your window, a cardboard coffee cup held in cold fingers, flashcards and spaced repetition, studying the science of learning, attending free webinars on anything and everything

Wasted Lectures
One of my weekly hour lectures is a less than hour, very simple 10 question quiz, where my lecturer sprinkles a few basic facts about the answers. It feels like the time my lecture goes for is wasted, when i could be using that time towards completing my weekly reading or my assignments. The subject so far feels rushed, and definitely not in depth. I am doing extra reading, research, and going through so many youtube videos on my subject just to get a deep understanding of the topics. It's like im teaching myself.
