My experience as a genderfluid/agender transfemasc intersex person is that I’ve never really been ‘allowed’ a gender, and that it is impossible for me to make the ‘correct’ choice regarding gender.
As a kid I managed to dodge surgery but was aware that I ‘should’ feel ashamed for my variation. I never liked being naked around people who weren’t my parents. I didn’t feel very comfortable around boys or girls when gender was involved, while also feeling very comfortable around both when I was able to forget about it.
As I teen I was too ‘masculine,’ I needed to ‘act more feminine,’ my shoulders were wide and ‘ugly,’ my jaw was prominent and square, I should really have been taking better care of the hair on my face (that being a few dark hairs in between my eyebrows and on my chin), I was ‘too strong.’ Of course I wasn’t a real girl.
I’m a man right now, and it’s reversed: my ribcage and waist are ‘too’ small, I’m ‘too’ short (note that I’m right between the average heights for men and women in my country), I’m ‘too delicate’ to be a real man.
Too delicate to be a real man, too strong to be a real girl.
I’ve been nonbinary, too. Wasn’t allowed that, either. There’s only two genders, you have to pick, one person says I’m obviously a girl another says I’m obviously a guy. Both say that I just need to decide.
I’m not even allowed to be agender because I’m ‘too’ gendered. I have body hair and thick thighs.
This is why I’m genderfuck, why I have embraced being transfemasc, and why I absolutely reject AGAB labels.
And I dunno, but people who try to force me into any one box because someone ‘can’t’ be transfemasc or ‘everyone has an AGAB’ never seem to be all that different than the people who tell me I can’t be a woman or I can’t be a man.

hi a note for transfemmes: there is a site called eshakti where you can get beautifully made femme clothes in a wide variety of shapes, colors, prints, and fabrics -- all made to your measurements. it is not cheap, but it's also not expensive for what it is. i dont know where they ship outside of the us but im sure they have it listed somewhere.
im not a transfemme but i pretty much exclusively shop from eshakti when i can because my body is ridiculous shapes that are not found in pretty much any clothes i could buy off the rack. the quality is amazing, and if anything fits weird, you can send it back for adjustments.
my partner IS a transfemme though, and she just got her first order in, and she just looks so beautiful and so happy and i just. i want to make sure y'all know this exists. i know not everyone can afford it, but for those who can, it can be really nice to have something in a shape you want, in a color you want, in a fabric you want, made for your body no matter what shapes make up your body.
typically for your first order you get custom sizing for free. right now (july 2nd 2023) there's a 35% sale on the whole store, and those sales happen probably quarterly, and you can get the free custom sizing on top of that. you MAY be emailed by the team to confirm some of your sizing, but i promise it's just to make sure your measurements are right, and not the company trying to judge or discriminate. i was contacted for my wild shapes (bust/waist ratio) and my partner was contacted for her height (she's 6'3"). you just email back confirming and it's totally fine.
i hope you have clothes that fit you, size and soul, and make you feel beautiful, whether from here or otherwise.

I can't believe people have the fucking audacity to claim that transmasc dysphoria isn't as bad as transfem dysphoria because you don't see as many transmascs venting about it (actual take I saw today).
Transmascs venting about our dysphoria isn't usually seen as that. Instead, it's viewed as "fragile masculinity" or worse, misogyny.
A transmasc venting about bottom dysphoria is subjected to "jokes" making fun of his insecurity, similar to the small dick jokes made at cis incels.
A transmasc venting about his chest dysphoria is seen as being "too lazy" to get surgery, or is fetishized for having a large chest.
A transmasc venting about his voice dysphoria is told to just go on T.
The reason why we don't talk about it is because you harass us when we do.

Today I’m think about how harmful and deliberate the invisibity of trans men and mascs is. In pretending we don’t exist and have never existed we are denied a community and a history. Young trans boys grow up thinking they’re completely alone contributing to the insanely high rates of suicide we have. (A study by the American Academy of Pediatrics showed that more then half of trans male teenagers have attempted suicide. Link)
Older trans men are denied healthcare especially “woman’s healthcare.” that they need and even though we have higher rates of assault then cis men and woman we are denied recourses for safety and recovery. Link
It’s so harmful and exhausting to watch this invisibility even happen in our own communities.

"Yeah but were you like born a boy or a girl?"
I was born against my wishes and have spent the past 30 years figuring out how to make everyone else regret it more than I do. Next question.

(Sarcastic) I love hearing That One Neighbour yell “fucking faggot,” “goddamn motherfucker,” etc. at the top of his lungs randomly. Makes me feel really safe as a visibly queer person. :/
