I’ll never be a real fan
I never stick around bands or series or anything else to be a real fan. I hate the fact that I can’t focus on things enough.
In 2019/2020 I used to listen to so much twenty one pilots. I’m not sure what changed but I started to listen less and less to them. Now they are coming back (presumably) and I feel like I can’t talk with other fans about it. I don’t know enough, I didn’t listen to their music enough, I can’t remember the lyrics, I can’t name the songs. I’m not a real fan, I might’ve never been. If they do a tour it would feel that I’m not allowed to go to it because I didn’t stick with them through their silence.
If I would’ve stuck around longer my mind wouldn’t be making me feel these emotions. I’d feel enough of a fan.
Now still, I feel like I’m not a real fan to other things I like. I don’t like all posts, I don’t follow people on all platforms, I don’t watch all interviews, I don’t watch TikTok’s about these topics, I don’t notice when something new is released, I don’t show to the outside world I like these topics, I am not open enough.
Maybe I am too busy with my own life to focus on others their lives or maybe it’s a way to excuse myself of being a fake fan. I might’ve changed, I grew out of them, or I simply didn’t care enough and don’t deserve to call myself a fan of anything. I was probably ‘interested’ and never apart of any fanbase.
