FINALLY someone said those things!

Personally I'd add to this list a lack of research and Americentrism of many writers. I cannot even count how many times the 'reader' was in fact specified as an American (white-coded American to be more precise). I don't know how many of you need to hear this but your country IS NOT a center of the universe! Not everyone on this site is American so stop treating being an American as a default trait of a person!

Same with the lack of research. Mind you those guys are BRITISH and not AMERICAN! Yet so many writers don't give two fucks about doing any basic research on how life looks like outside of their own state. No, trucks aren't a thing in the European continent, no people here don't drive everywhere, no porches aren't really a thing, driveways aren't common and people usually park on the side of a street. Like this:

Look at the houses as well. Do you see any porch?

Same with the base in London. A quick Google search would tell you that it's elsewhere:

Same thing with gun ownership. Soldiers in the UK before leaving for home have to give back all guns. Gun control in Europe is a thing and it's super rare (and Very difficult) to have a licence for a gun. Yet it doesn't stop many writers from making guys go back home like this:

And the amount of time when I read about the guys coming back from a mission via a CIVILIAN AIRPORT and going through customs with their guns is mind boggling! Soldiers don't fly with civilians! They have their own planes and their own airports!

Same with walking around in their full on work clothes. Funny fact, I live in a town where a Special Forces base is located. Not SAS but the special forces of my country. The only people you'll see in any soldier uniform are the cadets. For the sake of protecting one's identity they never wear their uniform in a civilian setting.

Which brings me to another point. Cringe '19 years old SAS female member who is very small, has anxiety and is a sniper but she's super gen-z and annoys everyone but they love her and she's constantly recording TikTok videos' stories. You're free to have any fantasies you want and I'm free to say it's just pure cringe.

The requirements for special forces are so strict that your petit anxious OC who cries whenever someone yells them would NEVER even be considered for the military, let alone a special forces unit.

Speaking of soldiers, stop writing 141 guys as 'war criminals' - that's just gross. Do you guys know what a war crime is?

Violations of the laws or customs of war, including:

atrocities or offences against persons or property, constituting violations of the laws or customs of war

murder, ill treatment or deportation to slave labour or for any other purpose of the civilian population in occupied territory

murder or ill treatment of prisoners of war or persons on the seas

killing of hostages

wanton destruction of cities, towns or villages

devastation not justified by military necessity

War crime IS a CRIME! It is punishable by international law! Not every soldier is a war criminal and if they are then they should be punished by law and not walk around freely and be an object of fetishism.

Stop writing 'he is a war criminal' without researching what a war crime is!

The weird age gap, pedocore shit a lot of writers got going on. I swear to God, if I see one more person post an age gap fanfiction of one more MW2 character where the reader is childcoded, I'm gonna fucking rip out a nerve. Can people pls start making x Readers where the reader is 30 or 40?

The Daddy kink bullshit. It's so fucking gross. I know this is fanfiction, and you know, it's all imagination, but do you honestly believe Ghost would have a daddy kink?? The ultimate daddy issue king?? Not only that, but it's just plain gross. I know a lot of you don't have fathers and wanna cope with it, but calm down, geez, for the sake of my eyes.

The lack of Makarov fanfiction that's good. Most of it (what little there is) is bad. Like, I'm sorry, but it's sooo bad.

Can we pls have more housewife fanfiction?? I'm tired of badass readers. I literally stopped reading x reader fanfiction for a while because I was so tired of this. I don't wanna girlboss, I wanna girlwife sometimes, okay?

The bad code names. The amount of people who give their oc the name "Athena" is ridiculous. And if it's not Athena, it's some poetic shit. In reality, if you get a nickname in the military, it's to make fun of you, not to praise your grace and beauty. Don't be a mary-sue.

Bad grammar. Listen, I'm writing this during my 15 minute break, so don't get on my ass about my own grammar in this. When I write actual fanfiction, I use sources to make it good. The internet is riddled with sources. While fanfiction is all about having fun, people want to be actually able to read it.

I didn't play the MWIII and honestly? I don't plan to. Activision doesn't deserve a single penny for all the shady shit they do.

Apparently the plot of MWIII is also extremely underwhelming and stupid to the point of being labelled as "the worst Call of Duty story".

I know that Johnny dies and I think it's just stupid.

Therefore

I don't know if I write anything related to CoD but If I do then I couldn't care less about the newest game. I believe there are many who share the same sentiment.

The urge to write about a domestic husband, and good dad Ghost is rising. Maybe I finally will post a 'x reader' fanfic.

So I've found someone's post in which they were bitching about the way some authors in the 'x reader' genre like to give Ghost a wife reader and kids. Their reason?

They're projecting on the character so much that they are enraged by people writing the character in any other way than the one they see fitting.

Now. I wrote an entire fucking essay of a response, saved it as a draft and now I am contemplating whether or not I should post it.

I don't want to start a drama but I hate when people feel so entitled to criticise someone's harmless fanfiction because they're projecting on e character in in an unhealthy manner.

I can't believe I have to write it, but if you like the idea of a domestic husband Ghost then write it to your heart desires. It's absolutely ok to write your own version of a FANTASY about a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

This is the most American, white guy with a small PP vehicle I've ever seen.

0/10 possibility of finding this in Europe.

Personally I think Ghost would drive something that doesn't stand out much, like Vauxhall Corsa.

Big ass trucks that burn litres of petrol are not really a thing in Europe. Petrol is expensive and there's no need for trucks. There's no infrastructure either, parking this thing would be a pain in the neck. Who wants to deal with that?!

When the 141 guys and their s/o hear the neighbours having sex

John 'Soap' MacTavish

He'd be the funny one, assuming the both of you are not sleeping. He'd laugh a bit about it but mostly he'd listen.

He and his partner would be the couple that would make up the entire storyline based on the sounds they can hear.

'Do you think she has choked him to death or maybe she's just sitting on his face? Oh! He's alive!'

'She's totally faking it, I can tell. Either this or he's genuinely hurting her to scream like this.'

He wouldn't feel like he and his partner have to get back on their neighbours the next time they're having sex. They treat it more like a funny situation related to living in a flat.

His partner and him definitely bond over making the most ridiculous background stories to what they can hear.

Just a lot of laughter and goofiness.

Simon 'Ghost' Riley

He either ignores this or he's so deep in his sleep he's not aware of the neighbours activities. I think Simon either can't sleep at all or he's sleeping like a log thanks to his partner's comfort. Like this person next to him makes him so comfortable and safe that he can sleep, he can allow himself to rest while being unconscious. I'd say it's his biggest sign of trust and love, he can sleep well in your presence.

On occasion when he's awake and you're awake he'll ask a dumb question, semi-related to what they can hear.

'Do you think they can hear us too when we're shagging?'

'Do you think only we're that lucky or maybe Mrs Taylor can hear them too? She does live next to them.'

He'd usually cuddle his partner and try to fall asleep. It's a rarity for him to get good night sleep and he's not giving up on this because his neighbours are boinking.

Kyle 'Gaz' Garrick

He contemplates his life choices.

'It could have been us but you're asleep.'

It's not like he gets aroused by the sounds of his neighbours having sex but rather he gets a bit embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

I'd say it's because he has his English prude moments. It also means that he likes to get a bit freaky himself, but he's the most comfortable when it's a private thing.

Like he's ok with many things his partner is into, but he'd be extremely embarrassed if anyone else knew about what he and his partner do in bed.

I'd say it's a second hand embarrassed moment for him as he can't help but wonder if his neighbours have heard him and his partner too. When he's in the moment he doesn't think about the noises he makes or how loud he and his partner are but when this guy lies in bed, and hears the sex sounds he can't help but wonder.

If his partner and him are up for this they might have some fun on their own.

'Let's just tune it out.'

John Price

This guy is old. Let him rest.

He spends so much time risking his life, planning missions and managing the 141, SAS and being an operator that when he's at home he wants to rest.

He will complain. Mostly because I can't imagine him living in the apartment so the situation most likely happen in a hotel or a place like this.

If his partner riles him up enough he will show them that this old geezer has some steam left in him and he does know how to have fun.

Ironically, the oldest guy is the one who is the most likely to have sex with his partner after hearing his neighbours doing the deed.

He'd also leave his partner breathless, speechless and absolutely satisfied before falling asleep.

He's still an old guy at the end of the day, he wants to sleep, but we're talking about Price here. He's not letting anyone make fun of him, not even his love.

I ain't an expert but this would be a major red flag. Like a red tapestry!

It's an important memento after an important person, not to mention a valuable piece of clothing during the zombie apocalypse. Burning it down for such reason is just creepy AF. Wasteful too!

Am I the only one who'd feel creeped out by such behaviour rather than see it as romantic or a cute, possessive boyfriend fantasy?

I had a thought; does Twix still have Paul’s coat? If she does imagine Ghost finds out who it belongs to and he just burns it like the jealous bf he is. Twix comes to the cabin maybe after being away for a while on a supply run and finds a pit of ashes and she finds it missing and she’s like “did you burn my jacket?” He denies it because no way will he admit he’s jealous of a dead dude. But blue saw him lighting the jacket on fire and tells Twix what she saw, making things v awkward. Idk the thought of jealous!ghost made me giggle. (Also I added more songs to the playlist—it’s now three hours long).

THAT WOULD BE SO SO MEAN OF HIM

Paul’s coat is the one she wears all the time. I don’t think ghost would do that to her 😭

Sure thing and I never wanted to make my point as I'm pushing anything on you 🙌. You do you and I do me. At the end of the day we're just strangers on the internet in the same fandom who enjoy similar content.

That's why I underlined it's a headcanon to already fan-made (yours) content. I'm not saying it's an absolute truth and I respect a lot what you're doing and how you're doing it. I've seen many reader-insert contents who imposed nationality or apperance on a reader so I appreciate that you know better and create content with a true reader insert character - a blank slate on which everyone can picture themselves.

I like the AU and your writing, I've added something to it, but at the end of the day it's yours and I have no plans to claim it. I might do and add my own interpretation of it but it doesn't take away from your work and it's not my attempt to change your canon. It's more like a fan content to your content. Like your content is a fan content to CoD.

What nationality is König's Mrs. again?

None of the wives of my 141 family au have nationalities because they are all meant to be able to be self-inserts for people. 🫡 only descriptor for them is they're female.

I gave the 141 wives particular nationalities because:

1. I remember others mentioning them and adding headcanons related to particular cultures and countries.

2. Some people like to picture an established character instead of themselves (I guess anon is one of those people and that's why they're asking)

3. It's just one point, you can throw it out and the rest of headcanons are universal.

It's like a non-canon information to non-canon content for fun sake :D.

Having that said, well I think that König's wife was established as his childhood friend so I'd guess she's Austrian. It'd be easier for him to bond with someone who speaks the same language, has the same culture and customs as him. He's already anxious so I think he'd go with someone familiar with the same cultural background, just one thing less to worry about.

I didn't write for König because I don't get the hype for him, but each to their own. I hope this non-canon information is what you're looking for anon 😊.

It'd be even funnier if both of them have to look for something to get the car out in a nearby village and everyone there thinks they're a couple.

Mrs Riley probably met her husband when her car got stuck in mud in the middle of nowhere. The poor vehicle had no chance against the force of nature which is an English countryside. Ghost was probably hunting nearby and heard her cursing the poor car.

When Fergus was 4-6 years he got a bit too heavy for Soap's girlfriend to carry him. She'd try to lift him but every time Johnny would interrupt her to pick up the wee lad. Sometimes Fergus would fuss a bit because he wanted to be with his mom but c'mon, spending time with dad is also awesome!

The shared journal started after Soap's girlfriend took the of journal. Now Soap has two journal, the of one which turned into a shared one and one private for his personal space 👀. Sometimes it's thoughts and details regarding particularly nasty missions that he doesn't want to share with his missus and sometimes it's a drawing of her boobs.

I remember reading here that Soap draws erotic, tasteful nudes of his girlfriend in his journal while deployed for months. He draws her strictly from memory. He keeps the journal well-hidden from everyone, including his missus so imagine his embarrassment once she finds the journal and is like "These are nice but I don't remember posing for those 😏""This is DEFINITELY my pre-Fergus body you've drawn here!"
