“princess you look gorgeous.” jake grabbed your hands in his and brought your dainty hand up to his mouth to place a gentle kiss on it, making you blush.

“thanks jakey. you look so good” you responded and kissed his cheek. the closeness of you two caused you to smell jakes cologne, it was an intoxicating scent, you could never get enough of it. he always reminded you of home and made you feel safe.

jake smiled and tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear.

“let’s go!” jake pulled you towards the front door.

“i’m excited. jays company has been so successful, i’m so happy for him” you stated as you grabbed your clutch and reached for your heels. jake nodded in agreement, and quickly beat you to it, grabbing your heels and getting on his knees to help you.

“jakey, you don’t have to” you felt bad as his suit was not cheap and he was sitting on the floor for you.

“i want to” he said while looking into your eyes, causing you to melt. he grabbed you hand and placed it on his shoulder for support as he helped you step into your heels and tighten them.

jake being the gentleman he is, he ran ahead of you to open the car door for you making you giggle in return. jake then started his car and drove to jays mansion.

during the car ride, jake kept his right hand on your thigh, and you played with his fingers, occasionally intertwining your fingers together. the sky was darkening and filling with stars as music played through the cars speakers. when you and jake started dating two years ago, you both decided to always create an updated playlist that you both can add to.

thirty minutes later, you both arrived to jays house.

jake parked the car on the street and hopped out of the car and jogged over to your side to get the door for you.

“baby you don’t have to rush over to get the door for me, i feel bad” you said taking his hand to get out of the car.

“don’t feel bad, i want to take care of my princess.” jake reassured and you looked down in embarrassment.

jake giggled and tugged your hand, approaching the front door. you knocked and shortly after, jay opened the huge wooden door.

“hey you guys made it! thanks for coming!” jay said while hugging both you and jake.

“of course we wouldn’t miss it for the world bro” jake said and suddenly isa appeared behind jay.

“YOU GUYS ARE HERE! Y/N YOU LOOK SO HOT, RED IS DEFINITELY YOUR COLOR” she shouted and pulled you into a death-grip hug. you giggled in return and squeezed her back.

“hello you look incredible isa” you gawked at your best friends beauty.

“y/n back off my girlfriend” jay joked pulling isa towards him.

“hey don’t speak to y/n like that!” jake joked right back and heeseung walked over.

“you guys want anything to drink?” heeseung asked after hugging you and jake.

“omg yes take us to the bar” you pointed towards the bar and jake laughed.

“she will have a shirley temple.” jake whispered to heeseung.

you and jake both decided on champagne to celebrate jays company’s success. heeseung, jake and niki were talking in the living room as you gathered around yoon and seeun by the kitchen island.

“pretty sure jakes not even listening to niki right now as he’s starring at y/n. i mean you two live together and yet he still can’t get enough of you” seeun laughed looking at jake stare at you with a longing expression across the huge room.

“i know. i’ve never seen my cousin so in love before, y/n you got him on a leash” yoon joked and huffed.

“i know it’s cringey, but i could never have asked for a better boyfriend” you blushed and sipped your shirley temple- giving up on the champagne.

“it’s not cringey. i bet he will propose soon” seeun smiled and you gasped.

“you think so?” you covered your mouth in shock. sure you and jake have spoke about marriage and how one day you two would love to get married, but you didn’t expect it now.

“i’m sure he’s itching to wife you up and put a huge ring on your finger” yoon stated.

jay ushered everyone into the backyard for fireworks and to sit by the fire. approaching the back door, jake found you and intertwined your hands, meeting your eyes with his own and smiling.

everyone stood outside watching the fireworks in amusement. you suddenly shivered, and jake being jake, noticing every minor detail about you, quickly shrugs his suit coat off and gently drapes it over your shoulders. you were thankful it was dark out, so he couldn’t see how bright red you were blushing, and mumbling a “thank you” to him.

around midnight, the party started to die down, you and jake stayed after to help clean up. saying goodbye to your best friends and heading outside towards the car.

you both took your seats in the car and started the drive home. some time along the way, you fell into a deep sleep. when jake noticed that you were off into dreamland, he quickly turned the music off and turned your seat warmer on, seeing the goosebumps on your legs. he smiled to himself after seeing you so calm and effortlessly beautiful.

once you both arrived home. jake waiting the the car with you while you slept. he quietly opened his door and dashed over to your side, unbuckling you. he was about to pick you up when you woke up.

“you’re up?” jake smiled as you yawned.

“sorry i fell asleep.” you smiled back and jake took your hand and helped you out of the car.

entering your apartment, you went to remove your heels, but jake beat you to it, crouching down and unbuckling them for you.

“thank you baby” you yawned again and he giggled.

“you’re so cute” jake grabbed your face with his hands and placed a kiss on your lips before pulling you into a hug.

“let’s get you to bed princess” jake whispered into your ear before taking you to bed.

you and chaeryoung decided to get food for everyone in the pantry. “I don't think I've ever seen more spiderwebs in my life”chae looked around horrified, the tiny closet was stocked with interesting looking canned foods and the one light bulb barely did its job. “well it looks like we are going to be eating a lot of beans” you stacked the cans in your arms. “great, beomgyu already has bad gas.” she rolled her eyes and you couldn't help but laugh. 

you both carried arm full stacks of cans back to the main bunker room. “im starving” riki ran up to you and swiped a can from your arms. “you guys are back” you made eye contact with sunghoon and he instantly lit up. he jogged over to you and helped you put down the cans. “yes and don't worry, we didn't die and we closed all the windows!” riki proudly stated. “now does anyone have a can opener?” he tapped on his can. sunwoo, a senior, took the can out of rikis hand and cut it open with his switch blade. “thanks bro” riki spooned out the beans into his mouth. “oh great this expires in two months, I bet all the cans are that old.” chae inspected the can. “that's fine, im sure we wound survive that long” beomgyu deadpanned and you and chae both gave him the deadliest look hes ever seen. “im kidding im sure we will be home by then” he put his hands up in defense, nervously laughing. chaeryoung has beaten him up before and your sure she will do it again. their friendship still confuses you. 

everyone huddled around in a circle on the floor an ate their beans. you shivered, starting to feel cold from wearing a t-shirt. sunghoon must have noticed as he pulled a blanket off a bed and wrapped it around your shoulders. “thanks hoon” you leaned your head on his shoulder and looked up at him, and he was blushing? 

“I need to get out of this basement. anyone wanna go on a walk upstairs?” sunwoo abruptly stood up. you looked around at your friends and nodded. “okay but please stay together and what ever you do do not open the doors or leave” soobin warned. sunwoo saluted at soobin, and you all followed him up the stairs. once reaching the main floor, everyone turned on their flashlights. “damn it looks like a ghost town out there” chae looked out the window and you all followed. it was pitch black outside, and a greenish fog was swirling around in the air. “it looks bad out there” you said grabbing onto sunghoons arm, and he leaned in closer to you. “lookie what I got” beomgyu shouted behind you guys making you guys yelp in response. “gyu this is not the time for jumpscares!” sunghoon huffed. “who got your panties in a twist? anyways, look what I got from mr.byuns room!” beomgyu held up bottles of soda and candy. “mr.byun is scary and doesn't let anyone touch his snacks! put it back” you pointed. “first of all, he only lets the football players have snacks in the middle of class and nit regular students because hes an asshole! and second of all, hes locked out, I don't think hes gonna be using it soon. and we shouldn't let it go to waste” beomgyu argued. “yeah flat soda is gross” Sunwoo joined in and him and beomgyu both took gulps from the orange soda. “great if beomgyu didn't already have bad gas from the beans, im sure it will be worse now from the soda” chaeryoung rolled her eyes and you all laughed. “fine I won't cuddle you tonight” beomgyu replied. “since when was that ever gonna happen?” chae yelled back, and her face turned red. 

a banging from outside interrupted the argument. “what was that?” you whispered, and all of you slowly walked up to the front door. you couldn’t see past the fog until a figure popped right in front of the door and you screamed. “shhh guys its yuta!” sunwoo said. yuta who left earlier? why was he back? “move over lets let him in” sunwoo said motioning towards the door. “I don't think that's a good idea” you anxiously said. “guys please let me in!” yuta yelled from the other side of the door. “he seems fine, and he shouldn't be out there alone.” sunwoo argued. “but didn’t he leave hours ago? why is he back” beomgyu questioned. “he’s on the soccer team with me, I cant leave him out there, hes my senior” sunwoo frantically looked at all of you. you all backed up and sunwoo quickly opened the door. yuta sauntered in, looking around. “thanks bro” he mumbled out sounding drunk. he looked sickly, with a very pale complexion, almost looking grey. and his eyes started to sag and roll to the back of his head. “its bad. I don't feel good” he groaned. you looked concerned towards sunghoon and he gently pulled you behind him. yuta then screamed in pain and leaned forwards. you all backed away from him slowly. sunwoo ran closer to him about to help him up, when something changed. yuta then stood up with bloodshot eyes and shot towards sunwoo. the next thing you knew sunwoo was getting choked by yuta and sunghoon jumped in to get him off of him. yuta was completely gone, he was groaning, and trying to kill sunwoo. “he’s a zombie” you yelled feeling lightheaded. beomgyu jumped in and tried to hit yuta over the head with the soda bottle. “great thinking Einstein” chaeryoung sarcastically yelled. yuta seemed so powerful, and he was trying to bite your friends. you ran over to the fire extinguisher box and took it out. you hit him in the head with the heavy can and then sprayed him in the face. “run back to the bunker now!” you screamed. you all dashed towards the bunker and locked the door from the inside, leaving yuta on the other side of the door smashing into it. “its not gonna take him long to bust the door down. hes super strong. like definitely not humanly possible” sunghoon said out of ‘breath. “hold the door shut, i’m going to tell everyone in the bunker room.” chae frantically ran down the stairs. “that wasn't yuta” sunwoo looked traumatized.

you always knew your boyfriend was beautiful. but right now you really admired his beauty. he was snuggled up next to you, wearing his sweatpants and favorite hoodie. it was a lazy-rainy tuesday afternoon. jake waited for you outside your last class with his umbrella, and you two walked back to his apartment together. currently you two were huddled next to each other, resting on the headboard of his bed. some drama was playing on the tv but you paid no mind to it as you were too enamored but your boyfriends beauty.

you found yourself stuck on his lips, and he seemed to notice your glance as he licked his lips and smirked.

“baby?” his voice made you snap back into reality and meet his eyes. he had a knowing smile on his face, like he knew you were admiring him.

“you have pretty lips” you murmured out before thinking.

“thanks baby but your lips are my favorite” his statement made your cheeks flush. suddenly an idea popped in your head.

“jake what’s your favorite lip gloss of mine?” you pondered.

“that strawberry one. it tastes good” he said and you both laughed. you stood up from the bed and jake whined beside you. you found said lip gloss in your bag and returned to your spot next to jake.

“can i put it on you?” suddenly you felt shy. almost sensing that, jake nodded and smiled.

you opened the tube of lipgloss and gently spread it across his lips. jake felt like he was in heaven at this moment. you were so close to his face and you looked so cute focusing on not smearing the gloss.

once you were done you backed up and put the cap back on, “done!”

“smack your lips together to rub it in” you demonstrated for him, and he giggled in return. he licked his lips,

“mmm tastes good” he joked and you laughed,

“hey don’t eat it!!”

“i’m not it just reminds me of you. it’s sweet” he mindlessly said. but what he said took your breath away.

“let me taste” you said before leaning in and kissing him. he wrapped his arms around your torso, and you intertwined your fingers in his hair.

you both pulled away from the kiss for air, and the lip gloss had smeared around his lips making him look, if possible even cuter.

“so, how’s it taste?” jake asked playfully, and he gently wiped the smeared gloss off from the corner of your mouth.

“the lipgloss was good, but your lips taste better” you said before leaning back in to kiss him again.

new boyfriend!sunghoon nervously slipped his hand in yours while walking you home from the bus stop after classes. “is this okay?” he searched your eyes for any sign of discomfort. “yes” you squeezed his hand in reassurance. the January air hit you and made you shiver, so you snuggled closer to sunghoons side. “are you cold?” you nodded back and he took your intertwined hands and tucked them into his puffer coat pocket. “much better” you smiled at him, making him blush. “hoon did I make you blush?” you teased. “no! my ears and face are just red because its cold out” he defensively stated, rubbing his ears. you went up on your tippy toes and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. “because your face was cold” you explained. but that just made him blush even more.

Strolling past the bookshelves in the library, you were scanning for a book that would catch your eye. The library has become your second home-you go there at least three times a week; studying, doing homework, or searching for a new book. You found yourself at the romance section, and you read the book titles hoping for one to pique your interest. A book titled “elsewhere” sounded fascinating to you, as you slipped the book out of the shelf and read the back. Too angsty you thought as you pushed it back into the shelf, with a bit too much force causing the book to hit another book off the shelf behind it. “Ouch” you heard someone yelp from the other side, and without a second thought you sprinted to the other side of the shelf.

“I’m so sorry, i didn't mean for that to happen '' you rambled out apologies while crouching down to the boy holding his head.

“It's okay, accidents happen don't worry. Just maybe next time be more careful with books” he laughed as he stood up.

“Ah yeah books are the most dangerous weapon” you joked back. His forehead had a small cut on it from where the book hit him, and around it seemed purplish like a bruise was forming.

“Oh my god you're bleeding” you reached towards his injury but he winced in response. You frowned, “come with me” without hesitating, you grabbed this injured-cute boy and led him to the back of the library where there were couches.

“Sit down” you took out your first aid kit from your bag and kneeled in front of him.

“Wow, I didn't even know this room in the library existed” he whispered as you got closer to his face to disinfect the wound.

“Yeah, I come here a lot and no one knows about this room so its like my secret spot” you dabbed the wound and he winced causing you to apologize out of habit.

“It's okay. So you hit me with a book, then bandaged me up and I still don't know your name” he laughed. “Oh yeah right! Well im y/n!” you smiled.

“Pretty. I’m jay” he held his breath and closed his eyes as you came close again to put ointment and a bandaid on his face.

“Okay! All done!” you said to Jay as he reached up and felt his bandaid.

“Thank you y/n” he gave you a genuine smile.

“Don't thank me, i was the one who injured you in the first place” you both laughed.

“But sorry about the bandaid, it's the only one i have” you tried to hold back from laughing as he took out his phone camera and saw a hot pink hello kitty bandaid on his forehead. You could tell he was trying not to be ungrateful, but he was cringing. “Hello kitty?” he asked dumbfounded.

“Yeah she's my favorite character” you stated and jay just made a tight lipped smile.

“Hey she's cute!” you playfully slapped his arm. “You're cuter though” he uttered, and his ears turned red, while your cheeks turned a similar color.

“But you are the cutest especially with that bandaid on!” not even waiting for a response in return, you sprinted out of the room and away from jay who was now chasing you.

“Yah! y/n get back here!” Jay tried to whisper yell as he remembered that he was still in a library. You hid behind the romance book shelf, while catching your breath. You put your hand on your chest, trying to figure out if your heart was beating this fast because of jay or because of the sprint you just did. Probably a mixture of both. Once you thought the coast was clear you turned to peak, when jay appeared in front of you and kissed you right on the cheek.

“Found you” he whispered, and you pulled him in for a kiss.

the sound of beomgyu and chaeryoung passing a bounce ball to each other echoed in the creepily silent hallway. you frantically kept checking your phone for signal while pacing back and fourth. “nothing?” sunghoon asks while jogging up to you. you shake your head in response. “soobin wants everyone to gather their things and head into the basement shelter.” sunghoon announced. “nah fuck this shit im going home” yuta, a senior, stated before heading towards the exit. sunghoon jumped in front of him and stopped him. “yo move out of the way” yuta roughly shoved sunghoon. “no its dangerous out there. you don't know how toxic the air is. my mom works at the plant and she says it can be fatal to breathe the air in if the plant spills.” you voiced. “that's all bullshit. there's never been a spill before so she doesn’t know. im leaving” yuta shoves sunghoon away from the door and makes his way out, with some kids following him outside. “hey stop its dangerous out there!” you yelled trying to stop people, but they wouldn't listen to you. 

from the window, you can see the fog rolling in closer, engulfing the city ahead. you start to hyperventilate. thinking of trying to find a way to communicate with first responders, or even your family was a dead end. you were trapped in a school with no solutions, and with the worries of where your mother could be, hoping she didn’t go to the plant today. suddenly your throat felt like it was closing and you couldn't take a deep breath. you grabbed onto the wall, as your legs felt numb, and started to hyperventilate. “y/n, are you okay?” beomgyu notices your frantic figure. unable to mutter a response, you continue to shake. “she's having a panic attack” chaeryoung stands up in concern, about to make her way over to you before sunghoon beats her to it. he engulfs you in a hug and rubs your back. “its going to be okay y/nnie. take a deep breath with me okay.” after breathing with sunghoon for a couple minutes, he slightly pulls away to look you in the eyes. “now I want you to recognize three things. one thing you can see, one thing you can feel, and one thing you can smell” he says while grabbing your hands. 

you can see sunghoons eyes glued to your own with a sense of comfort within them. you can feel his hands gently holding your own. you can smell the faint fragrance that is his cologne. 

you finally start to feel better, and start to breathe normally again. you didn’t even notice you were crying during your panic attack until sunghoon started to carefully wipe the tears off your face. “thanks hoonie” you whispered, and he just pulled you into another hug. “of course. we are in this together okay? you can always come to me” he responded. 

your brother riki ran up to you, breaking the hug up between you and sunghoon. “y/n get your stuff, soobin wants us all in the bunker now, the fog is getting closer” without a second thought, you all grabbed your backpacks and headed towards the basement door, while chaeryoung put her arm around your shoulder. 

everyone filed into the bunker, and placed their bags down. “okay we have about enough beds and food for everyone here. I think it would be safest for us to all stay down here for a bit, until help gets here.” soobin announced. “wait what about the doors and windows upstairs? shouldn’t we make sure they are locked so no smoke gets in?” beomgyu asked. “good idea. I need a couple people to come help me shut all windows and doors” soobin stated. riki automatically stood up, making you grab his arm in response. “absolutely not” you nervously said. “y/n I want to help, its okay I can handle it” he replied. “then im going with you” you said and sunghoon jumped in front of you. “you need to rest, ill go with riki.” sunghoon put his hand on your shoulder. “okay please watch out for each other, and come back quickly. don't leave each others sides!” you spoke. “aye aye captain” riki said before saluting you and joining the other people that were going up. before they exited the door, sunghoon turned around and gave you a smile and a nod, which you returned.

it was 10 am on a saturday and you were at school. being the dedicated  student body president you are, you went to school to help set up for homecoming. you also forced convinced your friends to help out. so naturally a sleepy sunghoon, a bedhead beomgyu and an energetic chaeryoung accompanied you. “okay lets start by placing the banners around the bleachers” you passed out the banners and sunghoon released a loud yawn. “why am I here?” beomgyu questioned his existence as he just stood on the field holding the banner. “because y/n dragged us into this” chaeryoung pointed an accusing finger at you. “you wouldn’t want me to suffer alone would you?” you asked. “yes” beomgyu replied, and you threw a pom-pom at him. “helping out y/n is fine, but doing all this for the football team! obviously hockey is the better sport. and they are doing nothing to help out.” sunghoon feigned a disgusted look. “you only say that because you’re on the hockey team” beomgyu laughed. “the football team might be helpless but they are still hot. especially that one, what's his name...kai?” chaeryoung shrugged, and beomgyu rolled his eyes at her comment. “he is not as hot as me” he flicked his hair and chaeryoung huffed at him. “in your dreams.” before you knew it, the two were in a bickering fight, and sunghoon approached you, “they’re at it again” he whispered in your ear making you laugh. “I swear they are secretly in love with each other or something” you both walked off to the bucket of decorations and started decorating the fence together. 

“anyways, how is being student body president? you wanted this for so long, ever since middle school you wouldn’t stop talking about it.” sunghoon smiled at the memory. “yeah, its good, but just a lot of responsibilities. but luckily I got you guys to help me out” you smiled. “of course anything for you. we are you’re only friends anyway” sunghoon joked, and you playfully hit his arm. 

interrupting your conversation with sunghoon, and beomgyu and chaeryoungs bickering, was the sound of an alarm. you all looked at each other in confusion and listened to the speaker. “its the power plant drill” beomgyu shouts while walking with chaeryoung over to you and sunghoon. “we gotta go inside, if security sees us skipping a drill, we could get detention” you state, and your friends nod. you all start walking towards the school, when you see a red smoke in the distance. “guys I don’t think its a drill” chaeryoung nervously shouts. “shit. I have to get riki from soccer practice, you guys go in, ill meet you there.” you grab your stuff and prepare to run towards the soccer field. “i’m going with you” sunghoon grabs your arm. “no he’s my brother, its okay, you guys go in, i’ll be there fast.” you try to reassure him, but he won't let go of your wrist. “i’m going with you, chae and gyu, you guys go in now” sunghoon says, and without protest, you two run towards your brother, the other two running into the school. 

“riki!” you waved at your younger brother, who was grabbing his bag with the rest of his teammates. “hey y/n. big hoon” riki laughs, and normally sunghoon would laugh too at the weird choice of a nickname, but this time he didn’t. “you have to come inside now, its not a drill” you grabbed your brother while sunghoon told the other players to go inside now as well. you all ran into the building, meeting up with your friends in the lobby.

you and sunghoon closely looked out the window, and the red smoke started to roll in closer to your school, and it covered what was once the blue sky. sunghoon turned to you with a look of panic across his face.

the dim lights and the loud music were starting to give you a headache, but you were currently stuck. the schools notorious player, choi yeonjun, was currently kissing you up against a wall. he reeked of alcohol, and he was rough with his actions, but something about him lit a fire within you. 

you were currently in a spare bedroom at your close friend jay’s house. he throws crazy parties at his house every friday night, since his parents aren’t home due to work. you didn't know where your friends were in jays house at this instance, all that you did know was that yeonjun has stopped kissing you, and has moved down to your neck. this wasn’t your first time making out with the boy. in fact, last week at jays house party, you kissed yeonjun for the first time. and he has seemed to have an interest in you. even though he was practically leached onto your neck right now, you couldn’t help but feel lonely. 

suddenly, someone opened the door, and your eyes were met with karina’s concerned ones. her, heeseung, jake, jay, sunghoon, jungwon, sunoo, niki, and you were all very close. and they all knew about choi yeonjun and his reputation, and they wanted to keep an eye out for you. 

“excuse me, we’re busy” yeonjun drunkly huffed at her. “I need y/n really bad right now, her brother threw up everywhere” karina stated making you gasp. she grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the room. “is sunoo okay? what happened?” you worriedly asked about your twin brother. “he’s fine, i just wanted to get you out of there before he did anything. he’s bad news y/n” karina warned you making you huff. “i know. i only made out with him, trust me i was going to stop him if he tried to go further” you assured her. “i know, you are your own person, and you are smart. but he is a fuck boy. he doesn’t care about your feelings” she pouted.

“y/n! you dumb bitch don’t go off with that man whore again” sunoo hit your arm as he approached you two. “ow” you rubbed your arm in feign pain. “where is everyone at?” karina asked your brother looking around. “well jungwon and niki are gaming in jay’s treehouse. sunghoon and jake lost rock paper scissors so they are cleaning the vomit off of the living room floor. heeseung is trying to escape the girls that keep flirting with him, i think he’s trying to get to the treehouse too. and i have no idea where jay is” sunoo stated out of breath towards the end. “can we go to the treehouse?” you asked, and without hesitating, sunoo and karina nodded, and you three headed towards the treehouse.

jay did have a beautiful grand house. but he had an even better backyard. besides the parties, just the 9 of you all always hang out in his backyard, especially the treehouse. jays father hired a crew to build an enormous treehouse in the corner of their backyard when he was younger, overlooking the trees in the distance. it wasn’t a normal treehouse, it had everything you could ever imagine: a tv with video games, couches, fairy lights, bean bag chairs, a mini fridge, and so many memories.

you three climbed up the ladder and knocked on the door, where jungwon opened it and greeted you with a smile. “y/nnie!!” he gave you a hug as you entered. “finally, you’re done getting some sloppy seconds from choi yeonjun” niki stated and you huffed at him “good to see you too riki.” you three sat down on the couch and looked at the tv screen, where jungwon and niki were playing mario kart. “i wanna join” sunoo announced as he grabbed a controller. “me too the fuck” you grabbed the mint green controller, you never verbally claimed it but everyone knew that one was yours. karina picked up her purple one and you all started a new round.

someone knocked on the treehouse door and you all were too busy with the game to open it. “i swear if it’s another drunk couple trying to bang in here i’m going to lose it” sunoo angrily stated. the banging just got louder and you all huffed in annoyance. you all jolted from a loud voice on the other side of the door, “you guys know the key is under the mat right? how many times did i tell you?” the next thing you know, jay, jake, sunghoon, and heeseung entered the treehouse. “you guys are playing without us?” heeseung gasped as he sat down in front of the tv. “how was clean up duty” you asked as jake and sunghoon sat down next to you. “absolutely disgusting” sunghoon stated. “i think i’m going to shower in bleach tonight” jake made a disgusted face causing you to laugh. “gross, i hope jay is paying you for this shit” you stated while still aggressively playing mario kart. “they practically live at my house. it’s the least thing they could do” jay said while grabbing some sodas out of the mini fridge and handing them out. “jay why do you still throw these parties, only for you to hide in the treehouse with us and drink soda like every other day?” jungwon questioned. “i stopped sending out invites, people just keep showing up!” jay groaned and put his head in his hands. “but we got everyone to leave early tonight. so now it’s just the real homies” heeseung commented. “don’t you ever call us homies again or else i will literally jump you” niki aggressively replied, while keeping his eyes on the screen. “you know, for the youngest one here, you have a lot of rage” sunghoon pointed towards niki. “what can i say, jay raised me well” niki joked, and in return jay’s face contorted into one of shock. “you are not my son” jay said making you all laugh.

the round finished and karina won, and everyone else picked up their own controllers to join the next round. you leaned closer to jake to pick up your can of soda that was placed near him. he was looking at you and his eyes widened in shock. “y/n what happened to your neck?” he asked gently inspecting it closer. “huh” you muttered while walking over to the mirror in the corner of the room. with the dim lights in the tree house, you can see a slight bruise forming on your neck, where yeonjun’s lips previously were attached to. “my guy that looks like a hickey to me” niki remarked. “what do you know about hickeys, you’re literally five?” jungwon muttered. “if i’m five then you’re five too fool.” niki argued back. “ew not only did you kiss yeonjun but you let him give you a hickey. i think i’m going to disown you as my twin” sunoo looked disgusted. “y/n don’t tell me you’re seeing yeonjun” heeseung looked worried. “we just made out i swear! guys i can handle myself.” you put your hands up in defense. “i know, and it’s none of our business, but we just don’t want you getting hurt. you’re too much of a good person for that.” sunghoon softly said. “so you swapped saliva with him last week at my house, and this week?” jay looked very offended. you just rolled your eyes and sat back down next to jake, who stayed silent. “i cant go home like this, mom and her fucking progressive glasses are gonna catch my hickey and then what?” you put your head in your hands. “should have thought of that before meeting with a sleez bag” niki said while setting up the next round of mario kart.

next thing you knew, jake took his hoodie off of himself beside you and placed it in your lap. “wear my hoodie when you go home then.” he smiled at you but it didn’t reach his eyes. “thanks jakey but won’t you get cold?” you couldn’t just take his hoodie and leave him in a tshirt in the middle of the night. “nah it’s all good i’m staying over at jays tonight i got extra clothes packed. plus you need it more than me” you smiled in return, and slipped the giant hoodie over yourself. it felt like jake and smelled like him too. you started the next round and jake and heeseung decided not to play as they raided the snacks in the cupboard. “FOUL PLAY DONT INK ME YOU LITTLE BITCH” karina yelled at sunghoon who just attacked her character, which was yoshi. you used a power up and smashed into sunghoon’s character, taking the lead. “since when did y/n get good at mario kart?” karina playfully asked, and you jokingly shushed her. the game was tense, it was neck and neck. all of a sudden your phones ringer went off, signaling a text. “y/n your phone went off” jake stated as he sat back down next to you on the couch, but joined with heeseung and a bunch of snacks. “hm it’s probably just my mom, jake can you read it to me?” you still didn’t take your eyes off the screen. jake picked up your phone and took a long pause before speaking. “it’s from choi yeonjun” wham! you suddenly lost to karina, and the tv screen turned black. “oh my god what does it say” sunoo gasped and ran over to you both. jake handed you your phone and you read the text that said “too bad we got cut off today. when are you free so we can finish what we started?” you outwardly groaned, and sunoo behind you fake gagged. “he’s such a douche bag. he literally just asked to hook up” sunoo muttered. “quick how do i get out of this?” you frantically asked your friends. “this is odd, he must really wanna hook up with you, he’s normally not this persistent with girls. normally they just chase after him” heeseung observed. “i don’t wanna hook up with him, i thought he was hot at first but now the thought of kissing him makes me nauseous.” you scrunched your face up. “save me” you dramatically said.

“i have an idea” heeseung quietly said, making everyone’s heads snap in his direction. “well get on with it!” sunoo shouted. “it’s simple, y/n just needs to get a boyfriend” he said like it was just that easy. you laughed and jakes eyes went wide. “hee, what boys have i been talking to that want to take me out? i cant possibly get a boyfriend this quick right now” you groaned. “how about a fake relationship? like you pretend to be dating one of us?” jake suggested. “that’s actually a good idea woah” jungwon said clapping for jake. “that’s why i keep him around” jay stated and jake just flipped him off. “that could work. so which one of you feels like doing charity work today?” you smirked at all they boys. “well it’s really between heeseung, jay, jake and sunghoon. because niki and jungwon are a grade below us, that’s weird” karina stated, and you nodded. “like i would wanna fake date a witch like y/n anyways” niki rolled his eyes at you.

“um y/n i’m trying to ask out that girl from my music class, and i don’t want her to get the wrong idea. i’m sorry” heeseung truthfully stated. “that’s okay hee” you responded. “well the three of us got nothing to lose so, your pick y/n” sunghoon declared. “this is a lot of pressure. picking a fake boyfriend out of my bestfriends” you looked around at each boy. “wait didn’t jay used to have a crush on y/n?” jungwon curiously asked, and everyone except for you and jay erupted in laughter. “no! i mean yes but that’s not the story” jay face palmed. “no jay liked y/n so he invited her to his birthday party back in 5th grade. she came over and instead of hanging out with jay, she ended up playing uno with jake in the treehouse and then her and niki fist fought over a caprisun”sunghoon laughed recalling the story. “hey and we all became friends ever since!” you sent finger guns at them. “and ever since i saw the punches you and niki threw at each other, my crush on you vanished” jay said looking astonished. “maybe that’s how you can get yeonjun to back off, punch him in the face” niki suggested and jungwon hit his arm in response. “well y/n is already wearing jakes hoodie right now, it would probably be the most realistic story if he was her fake boyfriend.” jungwon pointed to the so called cream hoodie that you were snuggled up in. “yeah and you already hang out with jake the most so that would be the easiest” heeseung added, and you nodded. “is that okay with you?” you asked looking at jake. he had an unreadable expression on his face, for a second he looked deep in thought, but then he quickly nodded. “of course anything to help you out” he said and without a second thought, you jumped in his arms and hugged him. “thanks jakey for getting that man whore off my back” you whispered into his neck and he couldn’t fight of the blush that creeped its way onto his face.

the next day you were waiting outside your house for jake to pick you up for school. your friend group had planned out this fake relationship that you and jake were in. jays idea was for jake to arrive at school with you, holding hands: a classic couple move. even though jake always picks you up before school, this time sunoo is going to walk behind you two to make it look more “authentic” or whatever that means.

jake finally arrived at your house and you smiled at the boy. “good morning girlfie” jake jokingly greeted you as you both started walking towards the bus stop. “okay slow your roll, boyfie” you joked back. “you two practicing is making me feel sick so i’m going to put my headphones in” sunoo stated from behind you two. “so i was thinking, at lunch today we can discuss the plan and rules for this relationship” you said and jake just nodded. you both just talked about random things on the walk there, as you two always did. you both got along so well, both having chaotic energy that matched eachother. you two were definitely the moodmakers of your friend group. every so often you and jake would slightly bump into each other while walking, due to how closer you two were.

on the bus, you and jake snagged seats in the back next to each other. he pulled out his ear buds and offered you one. you gratefully accepted it and placed it in your ear. he had incredible taste in music, and you two always rode this bus together, so sharing his ear buds was nothing new. a couple months ago you two were studying and you both took a break and made a joint playlist for your bus rides and study hang outs.

when you both arrived at school, jake nervously slipped his hand into yours. you guys were a tight knit group, and you guys did have skinship, but now it’s different. you both need to convince everyone, especially yeonjun, that you and jake were dating. you both walked into school and you were greeted by your friends. “wow if it isn’t my favorite couple!” niki loudly remarked, and jungwon rolled his eyes. “c’mon sunoo, let’s get to class” jungwon grabbed sunoo by the arm and waved you guys a goodbye. “i’ll walk you to class y/n” jake stated as he squeezed your hand. “thanks baby” you experimented with the nickname, as yeonjun walked by looking confused at you and jake. although you were too busy checking to see yeonjuns response, you didn’t notice how much that nickname affected jake.

at lunch you met your eight bestfriends at your usual table. “there she is, the woman of the hour” karina stated at your appearance. “guys this plan is brilliant, yeonjun saw jake and i before and he looked so confused. i think he seriously will leave me alone now” you happily opened your lunch box and started munching on your food. “okay should we go over the rules and plan?” sunghoon asked. “yeah i think it’s good to have boundaries and guidelines, so you guys are on the same page” karina mentioned, and you all nodded agreeing. you naturally took out the red fruit snacks from the bag and passed them over to jake next to you. you knew those were his favorite. “okay so i think that you two should keep this up for a bit so it seems more realistic” sunoo added. “yeah and you guys need to kiss in front of yeonjun” niki bluntly stated and you and jake went wide eyed. “what?” you freaked. “you guys are already close so it doesn’t seem like much has changed.” niki explained. “that is true, you guys could kiss this friday at jays next house party” sunghoon suggested. “YAH WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK IM HAVING A PARTY EVERY FRIDAY?” jay yelled. “i don’t know, everyone just shows up and you already prepare for it” jungwon said. “okay so we need to kiss this friday to seem more coupley?” jake reaffirmed the plan. everyone nodded, including you. “yeah, i mean if your okay with that?” you searched jakes eyes. “i’m okay with it, but are you okay with it?” he stated back at you, and you nodded.

the week went pretty smoothly, yeonjun would steal glances at you and jake, while you two acted like a couple. you two would walk hand in hand all around the school, during free periods you would cuddle up on the library couch and study, and you would attend jakes soccer practices and games. it’s stuff you have done quite a lot as jakes best friend, but now it has to look like you two are in love. but it’s somehow easier than expected. maybe the feelings aren’t fake.

friday finally came around, and you made sure to dress up for jays party today. somehow you felt nervous? you would be kissing jake for the first time, and the thought of that had your hands clammy. sunoo and you drove over to jays house, with your bags that you would place in the treehouse, because you guys were going to sleepover tonight.

you guys showed up right as people were starting to arrive. you two knocked on jays front door, and he let you both in. “hey guys, you can put your bags up in the treehouse” jay said as he unlocked the back door. you both went to the treehouse and placed your bags down. you just stood there, not wanting to leave the comfortable space. “y/n you should probably go meet jake now, so you can get the plan into action” sunoo said as he looked over at you. “okay yeah” you nervously played with your hands. “hey don’t be nervous, this is good, we can finally kiss fuck boy goodbye! and you’ll be with jake, he cares for you more than anyone, besides me of course” sunoo grabbed your hand and led you back into the house. you spotted jake with sunghoon setting up the kitchen with drinks. he turned around and saw you and instantly lit up. “hey y/n” he said running over to you and giving you a hug, and you instantly smiled ear to ear. “oh it’s good to see you too sunoo! thanks jake, it’s good to see you too!” sunoo sarcastically made a conversation with himself. “just for that i’m not going to say anything to you now” jake joked to sunoo and the latter just stuck his tongue out at him. “are the plans still on for tonight?” jake whispered in your ear, and then backed away so he can look in your eyes to make sure. “yeah” you replied back, not breaking the eye contact. “guys yeonjun just pulled up” jungwon stated while looking outside of the window. “quick everyone get to your places!” sunghoon yelled and everyone scattered, leaving you and jake by the living room dance floor. jay opened the door for the next group of people coming in his house, including yeonjun, and he inwardly sighed.

the music was blasting and you were just playing with jakes hands, while waiting for yeonjun to get closer to you too. out of the corner of your eye, you spotted yeonjun walking towards you two. “he’s here” you mumbled while looking up at jake. he smoothly pressed you up against the wall, and met your eyes for a couple seconds, before leaning in. you met him halfway, your lips molding perfectly together. he was very gentle with the kiss, but still passionate. you tilted your head to the side to kiss him better, as the kiss became a bit more rough. you both pulled away for air, and brushed your noses together. jake looked to the side and then pulled you closer to whisper in your ear for a second time tonight, giving you shivers. “he saw, he looks pissed. he’s leaving with some random girl now” jake informed you. without a second thought, you went up onto your tippy toes, pressed a kiss on jakes nose and then pulled him in for a hug. “i’m so relieved, thanks jakey” you mumbled into his neck, making a blush creep up to his face. “MY PARENTS THIER HOME EVERYONE OUT NOW!” jay screamed after seeing the events unfold. he winked over at you two, and al of your friends helped evict all the “randos” from jays home.

after everyone got kicked out, your friend group decided to meet in the treehouse. you and jake were the last ones there, and you walked in to see everyone sitting on the couch. “plan was successful!” you said and everyone cheered. “yeah yeonjun looked so pissed he grabbed that girl that’s been chasing him for weeks and left” jay stated. there was just one chair left and before you could go sit on the floor, jake sat down on the chair and pulled you onto his lap, cuddling into your back. “it’s just us here, you guys don’t need to pretend to be dating now” heeseung laughed. “yeah sometimes i forget that they aren’t actually dating” jungwon added, and you and jake stayed silent, not knowing how to reply. “can we play mario kart now?” niki begged, and sunghoon rolled his eyes. “i don’t wanna play mario kart, i’m sick and tired of it” he complained. “you just don’t want to play because you always lose” karina playfully stated back at him, and he threw a pillow at her. “okay let’s play truth or dare then” sunoo suggested.

you all started the fireplace and cuddled up on the couch, and dimmed the lights. you sat sideways on jakes lap, on the chair. “okay who’s gonna start?” jay looked around. “i’ll start. sunghoon, truth or dare?” sunoo said. “hm truth” sunghoon replied. “we’re you the one who stole jays wallet, to take that one girl on a date?” sunoo knowingly smirked at sunghoon who looked betrayed. “HEY SO THATS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I COULDNT FIND MY WALLET THAT DAY” jay screamed out. “yeah but you didn’t even notice i took 50 bucks” sunghoon laughed and jay threatened to run over and slap him, and you all laughed. “okay karina truth or dare?” sunghoon asked. “dare” she stated. “i dare you to text hwang hyunjin and call him sexy” karinas jaw dropped. “noooooo! he’s cute and popular” she covered her mouth in disbelief. “now you can make a move on him” heeseung added. “by calling him sexy boy?” jay laughed. karina took out her phone and angrily sent a “hey sexy boy” text to hwang hyunjin. before throwing her phone onto the couch.

“y/n truth or dare?” Karina looked at you and you responded “truth”. “y/n. which one of the boys here is your most ideal type?” karina asked, making you raise your eyebrows. “well since she liked the fuck boy player of our school, she probably would say heeseung” jay pointed to heeseung who looked offended. “just because girls decide to make moves on me, doesn’t make me a player?” he defended himself. you nervously looked around, and scanned each boy quickly, slightly putting off your truth. “um actually probably jake” you announced, and jake sharply inhaled behind you. his arms that were around your back and legs squeezed you a bit tighter as he snuggled closer. “makes sense, he is her fake boyfriend” your brother joked. you cleared your throat continued the game of truth or dare.

a couple hours later, around 3 am, most of you guys passed out. you fell asleep cuddling on top of jake, who was still awake. sunoo walked over to wake you up and move you to your sleeping bag when jake stopped him. “it’s okay” he whispered trying not to wake you. sunoo gave him an amused face and turned on his heels to his sleeping bag. 

everyone ended up falling asleep, and the next morning you found yourself cuddled up into jakes chest, while he was snoring lightly. you’re face instantly turned beet red, and trying your best not to disturb him, you got off of him and went into the fridge to get a water bottle, chugging it immediately. sunoo was standing behind you, and found this very amusing. “have fun cuddling your boyfriend?” your brother playfully asked. “you know he’s not my boyfriend. also why didn’t anyone move me? he was probably so uncomfortable” you sighed. “well I tried to, but he didn’t want to disrupt your precious beauty sleep. if I didn’t know any better, you two were actually dating” sunoo grabbed a water bottle and returned back to his sleeping-bag cocoon. what he said stuck with you. does this mean you actually have feelings for your best friend? 

shaking you out of your thoughts, Karina who just woke up as well, and was on her phone, walked up to you and showed you her screen. it was a picture of the girl yeonjun took home last night, and him kissing on his snapchat story. “plan worked! yeonjun moved on” Karina smiled at you, and you tried to smile back, but it didn’t reach your eyes. you couldn’t help but feel disappointed, because now you have to call off the fake relationship. without another thought, you grabbed your bag, pulled sunoo up and left silently, while the others were still asleep. sunoo gave you a confused expression as you drove home. 

the whole day you muted your phone and locked yourself in your bedroom. sunoo tried to break open your door and call you, but you couldn’t face him. your brother knew how to get the truth out of you and you were afraid of telling him how you actually felt about Jake. you were sure the groupchat was blowing up but you couldn’t check. sunoo started banging on your door for the fifth time today. “y/n this isn’t healthy! open up now! you need to eat, we don't have to talk” he sounded desperate. you hated disappointing your brother, and so you slowly opened the door, and he enveloped you into a hug. “yah im your twin brother, im always here for you, and I worry about you” he sternly stated. “im sorry” you croaked out, on the verge of tears. “get dressed and brush your hair, lets go get pancakes!” he pushed you back in your room, headed to your closet and picked out and outfit for you to wear. 

sunoo drove you two to the diner and he kept his promise of pancakes. “sunoo, can I tell you a secret” you whispered to him as he passed you the syrup. “pff of course” he replied, and you took a deep breath. “I think I actually like Jake. and now that yeonjun is over me, the plan has been completed and we can stop fake dating. but I think I realized I have feelings for Jake, and i don't think I can get over him” you sighed. “y/n you have to talk to him about this. don't keep it in, or things could get worse” sunoo advised while taking a bite of his pancakes and encouraging you to eat as well. “yeah but he probably doesn’t feel the same way, and then our friendship will be ruined.” you huffed. “you never know” sunoo said and his eyes seemed full of hope.

after the diner, you thought sunoo was driving you home, but you two ended up at jays house. “sunoo why are we at jays?” you asked nervously. “I left my pillow in the treehouse, and I cant sleep tonight without it” he said as he got out of the car. “come with me please, or else jay will keep talking and ill be stuck here all day” you sighed and you got out of the car and sunoo locked it. 

Sunoo dragged you to the front door, and jay opened it while rubbing his eyes. “hey bed head, did you just wake up?” sunoo laughed at jays messy hair. “yeah you guys left at the ass crack of dawn.” jay said and you just looked down. “oh shit” jay said checking his phone. “my parents are gonna be home in thirty minutes! the kitchen is still a disaster from last nights party.” jay frantically ran to the kitchen. “but the party ended early, remember you pretended your parents were home” you yelled out towards the kitchen where jay was. “yeah but we all hung out in the treehouse and I never cleaned up in here. quickly sunoo help me” he begged. sunoo huffed and walked towards jay in the kitchen to help. “hey y/n can you get my pillow from the treehouse?” sunoo asked you, and you nodded, heading towards the treehouse.
