Hospital in Philadelphia Part 3 (Lab Rats/Mighty Med Crossover. Skylar Storm/Bree Davenport, Kaz/Chase Davenport)
Continuity? Timeline? Don't know her.
Kaz wouldn't admit it, but it was deeply satisfying to see Metal Man thrown around. Just a little bit, for his tone, his behavior, and obnoxiousness that came with him in the less than an hour he'd been at Mighty Med. Watching the guy, however, was starting to become concerning when his hands weren't even up yet still tossed Metal Man into the wall.
"Stop throwing Metal Man around!" Kaz yelled as the guy's hands twitched up no matter how hard he pushed them to his sides.
"He can't," the girl-Bree- said, watching as Dr. Horace wrestled Metal Man close to him for safety. "When things like my speed or his magnetism get out of control, they can't be stopped. We've been out of our capsules for too long."
"Bree!"
"What?! It's not like we don't sleep in capsules."
"Capsules?" Kaz wanted to scream. "You know what, forget it. How can we stimulate the effect of a capsule so he can stop... freaking out. Is that the only way to stop your powers?"
"I don't know! Usually this isn't supposed to last for this long."
In a breath, Metal Man catches Kaz's eye and his lips form into a quick smile. It's barely noticeable, but Metal Man's fingers drop down and he slumps against Dr. Horace as the guy gains control of himself again. Kaz runs over to him and grabs his hands tightly. He's somehow more relieved than Metal Man is.
"Do we need to get you gloves?"
"That would be a great idea," the brother, Adam, said. "Because when I glitched earlier I might have accidentally destroyed 200 dollars worth of equipment."
Metal Man pulls away from Dr. Horace and pretends to wobble over to Adam. "You glitched?" He asks, voice firm. "Like a robot?"
"Well, I wouldn't say like a robot, I'd say more like a-"
"A superhero!" The guy cuts in nervously, rubbing his hands over Kaz's. "Y'know, you're Metal Man. You must have messed up your powers a million times."
Metal Man clinches his jaw and Kaz notices his fingers slightly turning into his palm, bringing each siblings neck to their shoulder in pain.
"We're just lucky our powers don't come from a space rock." the girl laughs awkwardly.
"No," Metal Man bites back. "They come from a man."
Whatever it was about Metal Man, not just the earlier with his terrible tone and behavior, Kaz's body covers in flames and he feels it come so close to Metal Man that it starts to make his skin glow.
"Kaz-" Dr. Horace says, worry laced in his voice. "You're not supposed to harm patients. He's already hurt."
It is a thought in the back of Kaz's mind, but watching Metal Man's skin grow hotter, he can't help himself. He deserves it. Something is not right with him.
"Get out of my hospital."
Metal Man steps back and his skin cools down to a shine. Backs away from the siblings and Dr. Horace and Kaz and his lips quirk up in a smile again, as he's almost away from Mighty Med, almost away from them.
"What powers aren't man-made?" He asks.
Then leaves.
There is a scorched spot on the floor and Kaz scuffs at it with his shoe as Dr. Horace stares him down. He can feel the disappointment as Dr. Horace lets a breath out and Kaz wonders if he'll use his super breath to put out the remainder of the flames.
"Kaz, go cool off." Is all that comes out, along with "You three, come with me."
The three of them are all shrunk on the floor next to each other, yet the glitching seems to be done. There's no "seeming" to be exhausted though, it's very clearly they are, so Kaz follows Dr. Horace's orders and walks away from their intimate moment.
~
Dr. Horace is crouched in front of them. "It's clear that your powers haven't come like ours have. Metal Man even said they're man-made. And what is this talk about capsules? What are you?"
Bree leans against Adam's shoulder. She doesn't want to answer anything. "It's like Chase said, those weren't seizures." She mulls over what more is okay to give up. "Those were glitches. It happens when we're out of our capsules for too long. What we have isn't powers."
It's instinct for Chase to reprimand her for talking about their capsules again, but he figured the jig is up. When Leo found out about them, Principal Perry did, and when Principal Perry knew, this man knew, and now everyone would know. Their secret wouldn't be kept no matter how far away they ran.
"Bionics." Adam interrupts. There's no will to want to shut him up anymore. "Man-made."
"Bionics," Dr. Horace repeats. "That explains the chip and the 'seizures,' then."
Chase rubs at his chip. "How do you know about bionics?"
"Because," Dr. Horace starts. "That's the only way Metal Man could be able to control you."

Hospital in Philadelphia Part 2 (Lab Rats/Mighty Med Crossover. Skylar Storm/Bree Davenport, Kaz/Chase Davenport.)
Based on S:3 E:3 Jet Wings where the Rats bionics glitch. Seizure trigger warning.
"I don't care who they belong to, get them off of me." Metal Man growls, shaking the three teens on his legs.
With the help of Tecton, they were able to move all four of them on three pushed together beds, with the three of them sprawled out across each bed and Metal Man in the middle.
"Shut it, Tin Man." Dr. Horace snarked, moving the girl's hair back to get a closer look at whatever silver shine was protruding from her neck. "Kaz, go get the crowbar."
Kaz isn't sure if he's joking but leaves anyway to cool off from the seizure incident with Tecton. Having grown up with Katie, who had a seizure come around at least once a month, it pissed Kaz off to watch a superhuman not know basic medical care. He only comes back when literal steam stops coming out of his ears and the crowbar immediately flies to Metal Man's cranium as soon as he gets within three feet.
"Ow!" He yells, picking at it. "Idiot!"
Steam instead comes out of his nose. God, why'd he decide to pick up Oli's shifts?
Kaz sits down on the beds, opposite of Dr. Horace, and takes the youngest boy's neck as far away he can get it from Metal Man's leg. The angle he's holding him makes him feel like a vampire. Davenport Industries is stamped on a shiny silver square on their neck, just like Dr. Horace said, and he wonders if he can dig it out to feel for a pulse point. As soon as he gets a grip on it, the boy wakes up.
"Let go!" Is the first thing he screams and kicks Kaz in the shin. He tries not to flinch. Not matter how many times he's been thrown across the room or mind-controlled by patients, it's something he could never get used to.
"Stop, stop," Kaz tries to take the edge off. "I'm a doctor, you and your siblings- I think- were having some sort of super seizure all at once."
The guy struggles against Metal Man's leg. He's highly alert for someone who just woke up from a seizure. "Then why am I strapped down?" He brushes a hand against the leg. Metal Man flicks him. "Why are me and my siblings stuck to this guy?"
Kaz sighs and heat blew out of his mouth like a dragon.
"Look, I don't know and I don't know how to explain all this to you, especially considering you just came out of a.... seizure. If we can even call it that." Kaz pursed his lips. "I don't think people ninja attack other people with superpowers while seizing."
"What?!"
"Like I said, I'm not explaining everything to you right now. Just rest. We'll figure out how to dettach you guys from Metal Man when your siblings wake up."
"METAL MAN?!"
Metal Man kicks him in the hip. "Shut up, magician."
As much as it pains him, Kaz walks away from the siblings, the other two still conked out. Dr. Horace would sit with them anyway, and Kaz would congregate with the other doctors to figure out what was going on with their powers.
"Wait!" The boy said, wrestling against Metal Man. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Somewhere you can't follow."
It shuts him down as if it hurts him and Kaz feels terrible as soon as he catches the guy's eyes. They're brown instead of the terrible green from earlier and soft. They both look away quickly.
"Sorry," Kaz stumbles. "I just need to go talk to the other doctors."
He nods as best he can but his head slightly twitches against Metal Man's leg and Metal Man scoots up the bed. All four of them are a little more unstuck from each other.
"What was that?" Kaz pauses.
The guy purses his lips. "Nothing. Just go to the other doctors. It's nothing."
"But you, but you-" Kaz stutters. "Earlier with the force field and your sister with the speed... How did you do that?"
"How am I stuck to a man made out of metal? How can you light yourself on fire?"
Kaz just stares at him and wordlessly decides to try something. He heads into the break room and peels off a magnet of Skylar Storm then heads back over to the guy. He moves his hand to the guy's neck and mutters a "sorry" and tries to do this as quickly and painlessly as possible. He's not sure if it's to Metal Man or the guy as he tenses up as soon as the magnet hits his neck and Kaz worries it's another seizure coming. The rails on the bed aren't put up and when the magnet hits the space between Metal Man's leg and his neck, he rolls into Kaz, activating a force field.
Years of working with superheroes, Kaz has been able to seamlessly catch someone twice his size, and although this guy is tiny, he still fumbles him in his arms. The guy looks up at him and the force field drops.
"I hate you," he seethes, trying to stand up. He fumbles when his feet hit the floor and steadied himself against Kaz, easing him back against the bed and sitting next to him.
"You're going have to explain how your metallic, dude." Kaz says. "And then I'll explain to you everything going on here."
"No. No, I can't do that. I literally got into the mess because I can't do that."
"You're going to have to," Metal Man cuts in. "And if you can make things float and are magnetic, too, then get these two off me."
The guy concerns his lower lip in between his teeth as he looks back at his siblings.
"Do it!"
Kaz's arms slightly catch on fire at the tone but he soon extinguished them as the guy grabs his hand for help up. He's shaking against Kaz.
The girl comes up first. She's in the middle and basically laying on top of Metal Man and the guy sends her flying into her other brother. Whether it's the force at which she's thrown or the magnetic magic Kaz still has to figure out, they're both tossed off the bed and into Dr. Horace. His hands drop to his sides.
"Bree?" The guy asks, leaning over the beds to brush hair out of her eyes. "Adam?"
Dr. Horace places the brother on a bed first, then goes to pick up the girl as she starts to bounce against him at super speed.
"Another seizure?" Kaz mutters. "Why do these keep happening?"
The guy sucks in a breath. "Those aren't seizures. Those are... something else."
And as soon as the words leave his mouth, Metal Man is thrown to the floor with the boy's powers.

Hospital in Philadelphia Part 1 (Lab Rats/Mighty Med Crossover. Skylar Storm/Bree Davenport, Kaz/Chase Davenport.)
Big seizure warning for this fic. I am epileptic so I do know what to do and not to do during a seizure but I have included a link to a website for it and a list. https://www.cdc.gov/epilepsy/about/first-aid.htm Also violence trigger warning.
Ease the person to the floor.
Turn the person gently onto one side. This will help the person breathe.
Clear the area around the person of anything hard or sharp. This can prevent injury.
Put something soft and flat, like a folded jacket, under his or her head.
Remove eyeglasses.
Loosen ties or anything around the neck that may make it hard to breathe.
Time the seizure. Call 911 if the seizure lasts longer than 5 minute
Never do any of the following things:
Do not hold the person down or try to stop his or her movements.
Do not put anything in the person’s mouth. This can injure teeth or the jaw. A person having a seizure cannot swallow his or her tongue.
Do not try to give mouth-to-mouth breaths (like CPR). People usually start breathing again on their own after a seizure.
Do not offer the person water or food until he or she is fully alert.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Twist of S:3 E: 1 and 2 Sink or Swim where Adam, Bree, and Chase are stowaways on a cargo freight after being caught using their bionics and taken by Douglas shape-shifting as Donald, put in rings, and Chase uses both the magnetism app and molecular kinsesis to break free then faints.
The Triton app overrides are mistaken for seizures. It's before Tecton even touches down in the parking lot of the normo hospital when the three kids he found in the ocean start struggling against his arms. They're pushed against each other and he's not sure what to do other than keep them all closer to his chest so they'll stop flailing. The doctors of the normo hospital yell at him to let them go as he runs down the halls, but he uses his mind-control to sate them until he can reach the closet that leads to Mighty Med. He's not sure why but he somehow knows that they are not normos and that these are not normo seizures.
Tecton is yelled at almost immediately when he walks in to let drop them. It's from Kaz, cleaning a bedside table, who's eyes turn as wide as saucers and flames lick up his arms as he runs over.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He yells, flames flickering in and out between rage of the mishandling and freeing the teens. "This is not what you're supposed to do in this situation!"
Kaz takes them one-by-one and gently places them on the floor. He's scared to move them to a bed as they stiffen and doesn't trust Tecton to. Their eyes are glazed over and it's only until he's placing a pillow under one of the boy's heads that he watches their eyes turn green. He ignores it to turn him on his side. The boy below him breaths catch in his throat, and for one terrifying second, Kaz thinks it might be asphyxiation. The air is back in his throat and his eyes flicker back to a sweet brown for a moment as Kaz undoes the top buttons on his polo for a way to breathe. Then it's back to emerald as Kaz lays him down.
Tecton watches dumbly from a corner as it unfolds and Kaz hates him right then. Dr. Horace knows what to do and gathers pillows immediately to put around them but freezes as lasers shoot out of the glazed over, emerald eyes of the oldest boy. The smoking pillow is dropped at Horace's feet and he steps back, pulling on Kaz's arm. The girl is fighting at super speed against the floor and pillows and the boy Kaz took care of is dangling multiple objects above them, seemingly random.
"Kaz," he whispers. "Step away. They're super. We've never had to deal with a super seizure."
Kaz steps away. The three of them look terrified and as much as he wants to step in and help, he knows from Katie's seizures that the best thing to do is ride them out. Adding superpowers with it would just make the entire thing worst. But even with that terrible variable added, this is not how Katie's seizures go, even if each one is different; because the three of them stand up and activate their superpowers full-force.
The girl speedruns into Kaz. He feels the circular desk catch into small flames as his back is pressed against the desk and she yells out in pain as he accidentally burns her. The guilt will eat him alive later. She grabs the younger boy by his shirt and seethes something to him. In less than a minute, he has control of Kaz's fire with what he can only assume is the molecular kinsesis. He creates a force field around himself and the two other rats, dragging the flame in front of them and assuming defensive positions.
The tension is built like the force field around them and Kaz tries to wrestle his flame back from the youngest. Other than that, nobody moves, except for when Metal Man walks in from the secret passage and the three teens are slammed into him. The more they struggle against Metal Man, they more they're stuck, and hesitantly, Dr. Horace walks over to Metal Man and runs his fingers across where their necks are stuck to his legs.
He looks up at Kaz.
"Davenport Industries." Is all he said.
The glow in their eyes drop as they do.

Tasha Davenport and Davenkids headcanons for Mother's Day!
•In the first episode, Leo says Tasha and Donald met on online dating but I think it would be much more realistic if they met while Tasha interviewed him about an invention.
°And Donald's brain just short circuits straight out of his head and he drops this million dollar, brand-new technology right on the floor and it breaks into a million pieces.
°He cries about it to Adam, Bree, and Chase later but all they do is make kissy faces and mock him because they're around 11-13 at the time.
°So, Tasha has known about them for a while and they were, at one point, the final straw in their relationship because she couldn't handle how Donald wasn't even treating them as humans.
°She threatened to take them with her but Donald had bullied her, saying she knew nothing about science or robotics and wouldn't be able to keep them alive without their bionics and millions of equipment and tech.
°So, she stayed with him but emotionally away. And kept Leo away from him for the longest time. The first episode was the first time he had been in Donald's house. Their relationship only started getting better when Adam, Bree, and Chase were "freed" from the basement.
°Leo didn't meet Donald until three years into their relationship and they then got married five months later.
•And it wasn't until Chase started dating Sebastian that she saw essentially a mirror of her relationship with Donald. That is to say, toxic. The only difference being Tasha and Donald actually healed their relationship and regained trust, if rocky.
•When they were Davencourting, Donald promised her she would never had to work again but she told him that reporting was her passion.
•How they would do the "Pass the phone" trend.
"I'm passing the phone who married a millionaire scientist yet still insists on keeping her reporting job."
"I'm passing the phone to someone who programmed a home security system to bully him."
"I'm passing the phone to the home security system that literally has stopped nothing from coming in. Also he doesn't have hands so it cant be passed to him."
"I'm passing the phone to the smartest man on earth who insisted his first gay relationship didn't fuck him up."
"I'm passing the phone to someone who got a job at Mighty Med to pop bones back in place with his super strength and ended up breaking them."
"I'm passing the phone to Skylar."
"Adam! That's not how you're supposed to do it!"
"Oh, well, you already passed me the phone."
• She dyes Skylar's pink streak by having her hover over the bathtub then Oliver shoot water at her when it's time to rinse. Impractical but they find it fun.
• Her children had disaster coming outs.
°It started with Bree in the lab, putting away training gear, when Tasha had approached her. "Bree," she said. "I have nothing against it, but you need to stop looking up 'girls kissing' on Donald's computers."
Bree watched Tasha pick at her fingernails. "But," she started. "That's not normal? Just like growing up in a basement?"
"No, no, no." Tasha rectified. "It's normal- the girls part, not the basement part- but it's being sent to Eddy."
Bree's mouth made an 'O.' "But Chase looks up two guys kissing and it never gets sent to Eddy."
Chase's head perked up from where he was tinkering with a project. "That's a perk of being half-robot, sis!"
"The Perks of Being Part Robot," Adam laughed. "They're gonna make into a LGBT movie."
"So..." Tasha drawled out. "Do you like guys, too?"
"Oh no," Adam grinned, bouncing on his toes. "I just kiss my homies goodnight."
•Tasha loves Kaz. Especially because she can relate to him on a personal level growing up in a poor household and being forced to parent younger siblings.
•Kaz also teaches her basic medicine for the team and she has basically all of Mighty Med out after a mission.
°She finds him infinitely times better than Sebastian but only tells him that once.
•Nobody even thinks about getting into an argument with her, let alone raising their voice, because the only person who did that was Chase.
°It was when he was dating Sebastian and he was trying to convince her that he was a good guy and wasn't paying attention to when he raised his voice at her.
°For the smartest man on earth, it was a very easy and very big fuck.
•She refuses to be mediator on any argument. Even the simplest thing like when Chase and Adam argued about boxed water.
•Leo's dad left when he was four but Donald has never had the "I'm not trying to be your dad" talk with him.
•When Skylar started dating Bree, she brought Tasha and Donald a dead pig. "It is an offer for your daughter's hand in courtship and proof I can provide for your family through the winter."
•Before Kaz and Chase's relationship was out, Kaz would catch on flames from anxiety if Donald or Tasha saw them even remotely next to each other.
•She was the one who suggested to Kaz that Adam could work at Mighty Med to pop bones back in place or whatever required super strength.
•Donald offered to make her bionic but she said she'd rather die.
•Donald used to cut the Rats hair when they were kids and it looked terrible. (It's why Chase's hair is so spiky. Ha. Spiky.)
•Also, Tasha never got used to Spike coming out. It scares the shit out of her every time.

More Chase/Kaz headcanons
•Kaz is very much into alternative music, albeit more popular bands like Fall Out Boy and Rise Against. Spike is into it too but leaning more metalcore and screamo.
°It freaks Adam the fuck out when he goes down to the lab and finds Spike jamming out to some Ice Nine Kills while training.
°Although Adam and Kaz do find it funny because in "Communion of the Cursed" one of their lyrics is literally "Get on your knees and prove your worth."
°Speaking of Spike, Chase learns to control him a lot better when they're older so he doesn't come out as much anymore, but that leaves the times Spike does come out into full blown tantrums.
°Chase would never admit it out loud but that part of him does need attention too and really only comes out when Spike doesn't feel like he's getting enough.
°Kaz has learned that the only way to get through to Spike is to talk calmly to him and as he would to Chase. Which he just sees Spike as a part of his boyfriend, no different.
•Adam is big into country music but he's not elitist about it. In fact, he would love the "This ain't Texas" Beyoncé song.
•There isn't an Elite Force for long. Mighty Med eventually gets rebuilt and Kaz realizes he can't save the heroes if he's being one.
°It might stem from insecurity about not being sure he can 100 percent control his powers or that he's just more comfortable doing the background work.
°Either way, it's all a group decision to split the Elite Force, although Skylar with join Bree on missions sometimes.
°Kaz would be lying if he didn't admit he missed being a part of a team, but being part of Mighty Med soon became a team to him and even a family.
•Somehow, I'm not sure how, they are connected to the Henry Danger universe.
•Kaz "proposed" to Chase with a RingPop like all cringe babygays.
•Their actual wedding had A-list superheroes and company owners, much to Chase chagrin who wanted a small wedding.
•But Kaz made it up to him by flying him across the city and to the Bionic Island.
°Which, it was the thought that counts because Chase is terrified of heights.
•So I don't know if this is obvious, buy the Davenport kids aren't robots. They're humans just with bionic abilities. So I'm guessing in the way I'm seeing things their chips are sorta like a prosthetic if that make sense. I don't know. Feel free to correct me.
°If we're going by that sense of logic, then having bionic chips for super speed or what have you would become more common in the future, albeit for rich people.
°It definitely would make Chase insecure that there are more bionic people but also feel more welcomed into the world then standing on the outside. As for Adam and Bree too.
°But these newer bionics have upgraded systems and overall better functioning for them. They don't glitch as often, rarely with this new tech rolling out, and it embrasses all three of them when they glitch in public because of how old their chips are getting.
°Speaking of glitching, although Kaz isn't an engineer, anytime any one of the glitches he will take them back to the mansion to help Davenport and combine engineering with his medical knowledge. And as they get older it only gets worse.
°Once on a mission, all three of them simultaneously glitched and Kaz could hear it on his radio to them. He immediately called an ambulance to Mighty Med. Although Skylar yelled at him for not just flying over there.
•Kaz is CONVINCED Tony Stark once came in for his reactor messing up.
•When they're in their early 20's, Kaz shoots up taller than Chase to around Adam's height but he likes to joke he's secretly Elastic-Man and be any height he wants.
•Kaz refuses to take a side on the DC/Marvel debate although he will talk for HOURS about how the MCU is deteriorating.
•Skylar and Bree have some pretty sick cosplays of Vision and Wanda though while Kaz goes as Captain America and Chase goes as Bucky Barnes.
°Leo goes as Loki and tries to convince Adam to go as Thor but he goes as Groot instead. And of course, Donald goes a millionaire Playboy Tony Stark.
•Kaz is, of course, everyone's personal heater but he can not stand any of the eighty blankets Chase keeps around him to sleep.
°So they made a deal, only, like, two blankets but to keep them on Chase's side, that way Kaz can still be his personal heater.
•Kaz hates summer but he loves the pool... just not what it does to his powers. (Not to mention it takes an hour or two to come back.)
•Once, to piss Kaz off on his birthday, Chase individually wrapped each page of a comic book.
°But it was better than the time he used actual comic book pages as wrapping paper.
•Chase and Adam have autism while Kaz has ADHD.
•All three of the Davenkids can NOT sleep in darkness. Probably because they grew up sleeping in capsule, but neither can Kaz or Skylar. Kaz because obviously his powers are fire ability and it would scare him shitless if he woke up randomly in the middle of the night and couldn't summon a flame. And Skylar because it's just how she grew up on her planet.
°Chase figured out a way he wouldn't need to sleep in his capsule anymore but still sometimes does one for familiarity, two for when he's mad at Kaz.
•Also, all Davenkids have done animal therapy at least once (including Leo) and actually got it integrated into Mighty Med. That's how most of the superheroes ended up with their animal sidekicks.
•As he gets older Kaz accepts he's not going to be on the frontlines as a superhero but begins to get comfortable with that as he becomes more concerned with being a doctor.
•Kaz sometimes gets full on Will Solace from Percy Jackson mode. "Doctor's orders" and literally having to drag Chase away from his projects to go to sleep.
Let me know if you guys want more of these!

Kaz/Chase little headcanons
So I was thrifting earlier and found this Croc pin(?) I think and a DC Lab Rats comic book that i forgot to take a picture of. and ALL I could think about was Chase giving Kaz the Croc pin because of course he would go around Mighty Med in Crocs. Probably even in the Elite Force tower or fighting baddies. And Kaz giving Chase a DC Lab Rats copy they could obssses over together. Like Chase isn't into superheroes and comics that much until he meets Kaz and Oliver. When they start going out Adam calls it their "Nates" (haha. Get it. "Nerd dates.")

Farmer's Market Troubles Part 4
Thomas hums in response and Newt can feel the vibrations in his chest. There's no point for today, no end goal, and if Newt can force himself back to sleep, he could probably wake up anxiety-free and go about menial tasks.
Something plays on the TV, neither of them care, and the story carries on as Thomas and Newt lay back. Newt blinks heavily as it goes on and maybe then he'll fall asleep, but Thomas irritatingly taps his finger against Newt's skull and everything he needs to admit comes back.
"Anything on your mind, sweetheart?"
Newt leans into his touch, simplifying his next words.
"A lot."
And that's it.
Newt goes to pull a wet golden lock out of anxiety when Thomas's hand lay on top of his. "Stop." He says, and whether it's from the gentleness of his words or his calloused fingers ranking into his hair, Newt does.
"How many things is a lot?"
Newt scoots up so his head is on Thomas's shoulder and he can look him in the eye. He knows where this conversation is leading, even without telepathy.
"What does healing mean?"
He feels tension rise up into Thomas's shoulders and stay there, out of the onslaught of terrifying memories of Chuck, Alby, Teresa and so many that did not deserve their end. Their memories are intertwined but he can feel Thomas's heavy guilt over working with WCKD fill him up, something he'd never be able to understand. And Newt feels terrible for it. This wasn't what he meant but he's not sure how to translate that.
"I don't know," Thomas breathes out, shoulders easing. "I don't think I can give you an answer either of us would want."
Thomas moves his face inches from Newt's, eyes locked on his, and whispers on his lips:
"Everything can be interconnected, Newt. The sun flares, WCKD, working with them, the deaths, when you were sick. And there is so much responsibility and guilt because I took part of it but coming to the Maze, coming to you... reconstructed me. Into a better person. Sometimes horrible things, like everything we've been through, can change us into beautiful things."
Thomas looks tired after that. He rests his forehead on Newt's and closes his eyes. Newt knows he's still awake because his hand drops down his back to softly rub. He shuts his eyes too."Am I a beautiful thing?"
"More than you would ever imagine."
And looking above, the two beautiful things mix in green and blue.

Farmer's Market Troubles Part 3
Newt had never trusted anyone more than he does Thomas. It was the leadership that made him drawn to and the same, fierce loyalty he had that had Newt stick. It was during the Flare he decided there would never be any doubts of Thomas loving and protecting him but still there was anxiety and depression deeply rooted in Newt's belly that was surely going to turn into word vomit over the booth.
He watches from the table as Thomas makes another cup he has no intention to drink and then lightly scratches his fingernails across the table.
"Any dreams?" Newt asks as Thomas sets their mugs down.
"No," he replies, chewing on his lower lip. "Nothing important."
Thomas never dreams and if he does it's memories of WCKD with Teresa or, very rarely, life before. Newt asks this each morning in case Thomas might come to the revelation of just a dream. But it never comes and each morning Newt will listen patiently as Thomas describes what he's willing of what he can remember. Newt dreams but it's strange scenarios with a cast of charcters he vaguely knows or people he'd rather forget about. And of course they twist into nightmares but that is a secret kept for Newt and Newt only.
The day is bright, sunshine floods their house through the bay window and it crawls up Thomas into his hair and eyes and mouth, like the sun is absorbing him. Newt leans across the table and catches the sunlight on Thomas's lips. He tries not to think of the black dot in him eclipsing it. When they separate, Thomas massages his fingers into the back of Newt's neck and he whimpers. Something is whispered as Thomas tucks a piece of hair back and traces the shell of his ear. Touch could be a wonderful thing if he let it.
Newt sits back in his seat and they continue their morning in peace. At some point, he does take a shower and after ends up across the bed again with his wet hair puddling onto Thomas's chest. He still hasn't told him.
Thomas's phone dings and he grumbles as he tiredly looks at the message.
"Minho," he grunts, not bothering to respond. "Wants to get out. There's no shucking way I'm getting up."
"Good that."

Farmer's Market Trouble Part 2
He should had told Thomas about the booth at the market. The memory of it doesn't drop out of Newt the next day like he was hoping for and he tries to force himself back to bed to focus on anything else. He gives up on any chances after blurry golden sunlight hits him directly in the eye and he can hear Thomas's side of the bed creak and his shoulders pop. Newt opens then closes his eyes and starfishes his body over the entire bed after Thomas gets up. He can feel his mood starting to sour as he continues to think about yesterday. Something in him wouldn't let him stop replaying the terrible time and his animosity towards the WCKD copycat. Do fully Gone Cranks dream? He wonders along with other WCKD thoughts and, even with no hope to get back to sleep, Newt screws his eyes shut to avoid them. Thomas is certainly not quiet in the mornings. He tries to be out of courtesy but fails miserably as he unawarely stomps through the house. It's pissing Newt off. Thomas's giant feet slap against the wood floor and he swears he hears the house rumble and then each glass cup clink together as he grabs for a coffee cup and the run of water to actually make the coffee. Newt flips over on his side. Nothing was going to be easy or just even quiet this morning, was it? He has half the gall to yell in a hoarse morning voice to please quiet down and the other half to march into the kitchen and glare at him until he does then sleepily stumble back to bed like he had on countless mornings. Newt is just not a morning person. He does neither, just wishes Thomas would somehow know how to stop without having to do or say anything. It's almost a jealousy of the telepathy him and Teresa had, which Newt quickly scratches from his mind. The noise stills and so does the house and Newt wonders if such things could read-or possibly invade- his mind like the telepathy. Yet the slight intake and outtake of his own breath that irks him so he finally sits up and decides on a shower. Taking in a deep breath and tries to set his mind on the one goal, Newt slides off the bed and stands up. Almost immediately his leg begins to throb. It's hotter today and it's irrating his limp angrily. Their air conditioning broke Monday and Thomas said he would get someone to fix it. It is now Thursday. Whatever. He can take a cold shower and maybe wipe away the residual annoyance and upset from yesterday. He's in Thomas's sweatpants because they're usually a size bigger and thus easier to slip on and off, but today everything is feeling like such a task and rolling the sweatpants down burns his leg as he thumps against the bed. Swearing to himself, Newt waits a second with clenched teeth for it to stop and sits back down on the bed, promising himself he will eventually take a shower until Thomas eventually knocks on the opened door and drags Newt back to reality. "Coffee?" Thomas asks. It feels like a strange question to asks, since Thomas knows Newt is about to get in the shower but obviously looks like he wants to talk or at least worried about the thumping noise. Newt can't force himself to ask why it can't just wait until after his shower and all he wanted that moment is Thomas, desperately. So he agrees and goes into the kitchen, still in just underwear and a shirt, to tell him everything.

Farmer's Market Troubles Part 1
"We're taking the word Crank back!" Newt frowns as he messes with a corner on the pamphlet he was just given. The people on it are not infected with the Flare, not ones before or after Gone or healed like he is, and it's apparent in how they're standing. They're shot straight up and proper and too close, almost crowding each other. It's like this new WCKD group wants to keep the infected crammed in with each other, far away from the Immunes in their own lands. Newt thinks of the Scorch. It's not a thought he wants right now. The June sun doesn't help his thoughts either as it heats up his neck and ears and he takes a sip of water as he thumbs through the pamphlet. They insist to be called Cranks, at least by this organization, smiling at the camera with blurbs of their stories that's too coherent to be from a Crank. Newt would never let himself be called a Crank. The language from the Glade was goofy enough. He glances up at the non-infected people running the booth and imagines everyone glowing with color. Like an X-ray, there's a black dot inside of him and it expands and deflates everytime he breathes. He tries to keep it inside him. And it tries to move to his fingertips but he drops the pamphlet and rubs his sweaty hands against his jeans. Touch had became so difficult when the Flare came, like he was burning people too close to him and the feeling never went away, even with years of being cured. Touch and being touched came easy with Thomas but it was frustrating to the point of tears when all he wanted during his sickness was Alby's warm hand squeeze his shoulder or Minho to try to wrestle him without feeling like the black spot in him would bleed out of him like a ink on paper. He would not allow himself to become a Crank. Newt gives himself a moment of clamping his jaw shut and digging his fingernails in his palm with every emotion he's ever had as he looks down at the pamphlet, desperately wanting to tear up the pages onto the new group's lap, the little letters from the paragraph on "How to live normally with the Flare" spelling out Fuck you. But what would that prove, a bitter part of him seethes, that you are, in fact, a Gone, nasty Crank? Newt pauses and looks for new words. I am healed, I am healed, I am healed- He had been for years. Things can always be reversed- They can but this wouldn't be. There are an infinite amount of universes and the one I am in is the one where I am better. With Tommy. There are an infinite amount of universes and you'll never know which one you'll fall into- Infinite could mean anything. Anything could be good. And even amazing, wonderful things. Newt says nothing to the people running the booth as he wills himself to calm down. It would do no good, nothing except rile him up to be here. That was what the whole thing was for. The whole organization. He sets off to find Thomas and their friends.
Minho has his eyes half-closed as he slumps against a tree and lazily opens them as Newt catches himself from stumbling against another tree. Damn it. Why did his bloody limp have to worsen when he was pissed? "Don't kill yourself," he jokes, then tries to redeem himself. "You okay?" "Yeah." He replies, easing himself against the opposite tree. " 'M fine." Thomas shoots Minho a sharp look but says nothing as sucks in his bottom lip staring at Newt- a weird habit he developed in the Maze when he got to thinking too much. Thomas stretches his legs out from under him as Newt does the same as best he can. Their boots knock into each other's and he gives Newt a calming smile. Newt lets out a small breath. "You wandered off for a little too long," he teases. "Minho's getting tired and is being a big baby about it, insisting we drive him home." "Jorge never answered my text if he could." Minho whines. "Should had texted him earlier." All three jump at Brenda's voice as she appears from behind a tree and streches to grab a low hanging branch to swing on. She looks tired from her morning at her Jorge's booth but she continues to swing with a smile. "He's never not busy," she adds. "What brings you three little piggies to the market?" Newt laughs. Again, he thinks of the terrible language of the Glade fourteen year olds who thought they were cool made up. "I went on a run with Minho," Thomas pipes up. "I didn't even know the market was today, so of course I had to call Newt because he loves all this stuff and then he got lost-" "I didn't get lost," Newt interrupts. "I was looking for magic beans." Thomas rolls his eyes and continues. "Anyway, Minho needs to be put down for a nap so could you please drive him home? Newt drove the car here and your house is closer to his then ours. Please?" Brenda and Minho's faces twist into matching cross expressions. It's no secret they don't like each other, but Brenda believes in karma and whether she thinks something good would come to her from driving her annoyance of a friend-of-a-friend home or something bad would happen happen to Minho, she agrees and then adds: "Why can't he just run home?" Minho flicks her ankle as she dangles and she kicks his shoulder. "Because I'm a tired little baby." He whines. She might had said Damn right you are under her breath but Newt couldn't hear over the slight grind of her teeth. Brenda glaces and Thomas, who has puppy dog eyes, then drops down from the tree. "Slim it. Get in the car." She says. Thomas mouths Thank you, I'm sorry as her and Minho leave and Brenda flips him off. For some reason he has a pleased look on his face. He bumps his shoe into Newt's again and it brings him to look up. Thomas as softened against the tree like he'll melt in it and Newt imagines the colors of his surroundings again. The park pulses with pale blue love and life and almost everyone and everything does too. Thomas is in bright hero green and it radiates out of him into everything he touches and everything he loves. They are connected and there is slight worry about it but Newt's loyalty and love for him and engulfs them both. He forces himself back to the ground where it's just him and Thomas and the birds.

The new book is The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I haven't read that one just because it's just about President Snow's view in the books, but I have read the other ones and I think I have sort of a layout.
Tumblr media
So District 3 would be Asami since electronics obviously. I feel like her dad would try and sway it not to get her picked but she ends up getting picked anyway. Everyone thinks she has no idea how to survive when people are literally hunting her down but you'd be surprised.
Korra is kind of hard to pin down because being the Avatar is peacekeeping, but I feel like the Air Nomads would be 10 or 11 and the only reason she'd take part of the Games is to go in Jinora's place, but also there's District 4 which is fishing, which reminds me of watertribe (although I might put Desna and Eska there.) I also feel like the past Avatars would be the past champions.
Part of me wants to say District 12 for Bolin and Mako because of the dress scene in the movie, the other part wants to say District 10 or 11 because I feel like they would live with their grandmother and the cousin with the fruit stand.
District 1 would be Wu and Opal (possibly 2 considering Zhafou.) Both of them have zero survival skills.
Varrick is Effie Trinket because their energies match, no I will not take crtisicm. Raiko is President Snow because I hate both of them and they deserved to have their government overthrown. (Zhu Li becomes the new president after it's overthrown but everyone already knew that.)
Hunger Games au, send tweet
OP you are going to have to take the lead on this one. I saw the first two movies in theaters but didn't see the last two, and I read the books in like 2012 or 2013 I think? And I certainly enjoyed them but I retained almost no knowledge of them. And when I googled the hunger games to try and refresh my memory i see there was another book released in 2020??? So you're gonna have to reblog and gimme the lowdown, who is who?

superstar- the carpenters (beck/robbie)
"oh my god, beck, what did you do to our daughter," robbie says, emptying out the dirty fish water and putting in new water. "next thing you know, CPS is going to bust down your door!"
"fish CPS," beck corrects. "and it's your daughter. you named her."
"but penelope still lives in your house. or should i have custody taken away?"
at that, beck smiles. "hey, i am a good fish dad, ok. you haven't seen penelope in forever!"
"i've been busy all week, beck," robbie groaned, dramatically throwing himself down on the couch. "there's this stupid assignment in stupid school about stupid famous actors. seven pages minimum."
"it sounds like no problem for you," beck hummed, settling down on the couch and playing with robbie's curls. "so what's the beef? you're a smart guy and this is just a stupid assignment."
"it's due monday. it's a friday night and i've only gotten three pages done and it's worth half my grade. And i don't know why i haven't finished it, but i just get so fucking overwhelmed when i try to."
"would you like some help?" beck hummed.
"i- no. i just need to get it done."
"you can't do everything alone, robbie."
robbie goes silent, contemplating and trying to figure out what he needed to do and what he did. a moment later, he gently tapped beck's leg two times.
"is that a yes?" he asked, only slightly teasing.
"can you get my computer? it's over... somewhere."
beck grinned, got his computer, and settled back down beside him.
"who's it over?" he asked.
"robin williams."
"didn't he name his daughter zelda, like, after the game?"
and that's how they spent the next few hours, gathering the history, interviews, and life of robin williams. (that also lead to taking a break to bullshit about remakes. robbie hates them, beck likes them but only if they're done right and not, like five years after the original just came out.)
when they met the seventh page mark, at three in the morning, robbie quietly says thank you to beck, and beck quietly says back to him that's it's no big deal.
niether of them feel tired.
they go to sleep, anyway, in an attempt to shut down the soft, blooming feeling inside their chest just like you would go to bed to forget about a bad day's event. but it didn't feel like a bad day. it felt new.
beck's never slept good since he moved out of his house and into the RV. he would also wake up at odd hours, had back pain from the mattress, and every noise would feel amplified as if he were camping.
so he was still awake. thinking. that's probably what kept him up most than the noises outside or the spring broken out near his hip. his thoughts were like trying to get a channel to come on through static. first it was one thing, then another, then another, and it all just kept piling up. but i bet you can tell what was mainly on his mind. he forced himself to go to sleep.
he immediately wants to go back to sleep when he wakes up, but he can't because "sleeping all day in bed isn't what productive people do" or whatever his dad said. so instead, he wraps himself around his blankets and throws himself on the floor and thinks about actually getting up. or maybe he'll sleep on the floor for, like, five more minutes if robbie doesn't wake up and begin his ass-crack-of-dawn monologue. actors, he mentally scoffed.
only robbie was already up having finished his shower and tripped on beck on the way back to the couch.
"oof," he grunted getting up, then "why are you on the floor?"
beck grinned at him from the floor, wrapped up like a caterpillar. "preparing to go into metamorphosis, i guess."
"i'm sure you'll make a beautiful butterfly," robbie laughed, laying on the floor next to him. "can i become one with you too?"
beck laughed and said sure, wrapping robbie around into his blanket with him. he wasn't wearing his glasses, but he was warm and smelled fresh and his curls were still wet and flattened down to his head. he looked very handsome, beck decided.
and as they laid, they talked. about the new plays that were being producted, broadway and musicals, tv shows coming out. it was light and simple. he was warm, very warm, and robbie was angelic like part of the sun was in him and beck wondered if that was where all the light and warmth of him came from.
"i want to stay here forever," robbie accidentally slipped, then bit into his lip as if to cage the words back into his nicely shaped mouth.
"i do too," he quietly said, then a quick "quit that." while running his thumb over his jaw. robbie did.
they were so close. their breaths and hearts synchronized and their eyes met and their air mingled with another.
"beck," he said and beck just wanted to tell him how nice and how honey-sweet his name sounded on robbie's lips. that everything he said sounded nice. "beck," he reapted again. his hand was still on his jaw. it was nice.
"hey," beck said softly back. he moved his hand to the back of his neck. that was nice too. that was the thing, everything was nice and soft with beck oliver to the point where it was overwhelming.
his hands reached for beck's under the covers. beck grabbed his.
robbie closed his eyes, feeling his heart pounding and his stomach dropping. his chest was right next to beck's. he wondered if he could feel his heart thumping as to jump out. he leaned his head into beck's chest.
"i love you," he whispered, timid and scared as anyone else who knew him would describe him. but he was brave. and beck knew he was brave. he was brave.
beck's response was almost in an inaudible whisper, so he repeats it again because he is also brave. only the brave tell you they love you back.
-
long ago and oh so far away, i fell in love with you before the second show.
-
(Hey ok so this was orginal in my wips that i decided i would never finish but i really liked this part so here you go folks.)
