A gently reminder to any on this community that even when books and other medias bring a lot of new info as beginner, in some point you will need to stop.
Not because learn is bad, but because you also need to grow your own mind. Sit, question what you learn, compare it with different point of views, be critic, listen, specially to the ones who tell you that you are wrong, be creative, keep thinking and learning, made up things, keep questioning everything. Be skeptical, but don't be cynical.
Don't focus too much on how pretty it looks, in copy exactly the recipe of the spell. Don't hoard culture that you don't belong, look for alternatives, learn to resign and say "I don't belong to this, I can't use this". Accept, evolve. Make a path of cobblestones implies bend your head, clean the weed, get dirty, work hard, and put one cobblestone at time. There is no shame in walk back and remake your path better. Is not a race, you don't need to rush to reach a goal, the path must be right, not fancy or fast.
If you just focus in read and puke exactly what you read in a book, you didn't discover anything new, you didn't grow a better understanding, you are not doing what a witch must do.
As a friend said: You just replace the Cross with the Pentacle.

Post Your Practice
Please!
We gotta start posting about our practices more and what we find through research, experimentation, things we experience, etc.
Not the super sacred or private stuff, just like,
that tea spell you did? Write about it.
That glamour for your acne? Spill the beans, bestie!
Learn a new fun fact? Share the info!!
Because it'll inspire others to do the same.
It doesn't have to be super decorative, aesthetic posts! It doesn't have to look like an academic paper!! It can be a picture of a sticky note with a spell idea scribbled on it!!!
I wanna see more people telling us about their tarot readings, their one-off spell that maybe didn't work, the thing they picked up from the thrift store that they plan on using as a spirit vessel, how energy flows for them, how they view magic, and so much more.
And don't think that you can't or shouldn't post because you're new or because you're inexperienced.
Everyone started at the same place: The beginning.
so please, post your practice!! <3

This is so true. We can't apply human understanding of gender and sexual identity and even attraction to beings who are beyond those experiences.
let the gods be fluid: they come in the forms of animals? fantastic, there's rich history in that. they come in the form of different genders? wonderful, shows trans beauty. they come in all shapes and sizes? perfection, the gods embody all and mirror all. the gods appear as a different race? beautiful, there's diversity even in divinity.
the gods present themselves differently, people experience the gods differently, and that's ok

~ In defense of Kitchen witchery ~
I personally used to see kitchen witchery as maybe being less potent than other forms of spell work and divination. The irony is that my family line have all been trained chefs, cooks, and avid vegetable gardeners. This last year, I took the time to really perfect my craft and learn from my family and the community. I strongly believe that for the witches in the broom closet or even low-budget ones, incorporating magic into meals can transform your life and the lives of your loved ones for the better. If you haven't taken the chance on making foods for healing or personal growth I'd encourage people to try. You may not be perfect your 1st or 50th round, but with practice, you will reap the benefits of spell work you make and eat and share with others

Wild rice and Turkey soup
This one is perfect for the upcoming holidays, and my family has enjoyed this for years. Most of the ingredients are healing and protective so it is perfect for those who may be getting sick or for those who want to avoid it - Feel free to substitute the meat and butter for vegan or vegetarian options. It will be just as good.-
yellow onion - oneness, healing, fertility, banishing, and cleansing
carrots (about two) - energy, love, and fertility
Couple celery stalks - healing, protection, vitality, cleansing
Garlic cloves - protection and love
Butter
Mushrooms of any choice
4 tblespoon all purpose flour
Wild rice blend - blessing, money, prosperity, fertility, protection, rain, wealth, and security
Thyme - beauty, courage, happiness, good health, protection, divination, and the prevention of nightmares.
Rubbed sage -wisdom, protection, cleansing, emotional strength
Black pepper or peppercorn - strength, protection, cleansing
Broth/vegetable stock
Cooked turkey meat/ meat alternative
Heavy cream
Salt to taste - cleansing and purification
Chop and add onions, carrots, celery, and garlic to pan with butter and cook down until soft
Chop mushrooms and add to pan and continue until those are soft as well
Add flour and about 4 spoonfuls of butter and stir in. Keep cooking the vegetables down
Add the broth, wild rice and spices. Make sure that there is no vegetables or flour stuck at the bottom of the pot
Add lid and bring to a boil and let simmer till the rice is cooked. Chop and add the cooked turkey and heavy cream to finish
Salt to taste and enjoy!
