(an origin AU)

Bill Cipher was a child of destiny, born in a world of magic without magic and powers he'd gained soon by the blood of lives and souls lost to his greed. With hair as black as tar and a singular eye as golden as the ichor of dead gods slayed smeared upon his crib, Bill Cipher rose to power through a deal with a lord and lost what made him human, ripped out unwillingly from the deepest depths of him and shattered, like fragments of a mirror; he'd lost who he was. He shrivelled up and died not soon after, in a grave none dared visit. But not a soul knew about the lone star who'd visited him, promised him salvation, an act of gratitude for him from the heavens. And not a soul knew of the determined fate that awaited their world.

An AU where the Cipher Wheel was who Bill was and each symbol represented an aspect of his identity.

He was a boy without magic in a world of magic and he was also born with just one eye, which led to him being ostracised and bullied.

He made a deal with a hesitant Axolotl to gain god-like magic at the price of his family, along with countless innocents dying by his hands. He orchestrated a genocide at the night of his birthday and he got what he wanted.

He got away with it through his wealth and for the next few years he'd lived his life in luxury and contentment, his guilt and grief shoved deep down to oblivion.

But the Axolotl was enraged, the stakes he'd made was to prevent this very insanity from happening, but it seems he'd underestimated this child's greed and selfishness.

In the end, as punishment, he broke the child. He led his soul astray and sent him to live a pathetic and pitiful life. And for the last 2 years of his life, he'd lived in an abandoned shack deep inside the forest.

The souls he'd lost was given to 9 unfortunate existences bound to die. But the tenth of himself was born from his spite and affection and the love of one celestial creature who gave herself to him in order to birth a creation that he made to end what he'd started.

Asteroid Alma (390) in the signs and houses

The asteroid Alma (390) is an asteroid whose discoverer was Guillaume Bigourdan. The name comes from the Spanish translation of the word “soul” which means, at first, that this asteroid in astrology represents who we really are as an essence. Very much like the moon and almost like our spirit. But, in this post, I’m going to take a definition that my teacher from a course of Akashic records told us in relation to the meaning of the soul. Because many people, including me, tended to confuse soul with spirit. In her own words, she said that the soul is a particular fragment of our spirit that carries a specific vibration. This vibration allows us to incarnate in a physical body and so it carries the stories of our past lives.

Taking this definition into consideration, I’ve decided to start this account by making a post about this asteroid in the signs and houses and what can be revealed about ourselves and our past incarnations.

This is a general topic so take this with a grain of salt. Most of the information comes from the personal research I’ve done along with my intuition, but if it resonates with any of you, please leave a comment so I can know if I should keep going with more astrology posts.

Aries/1st house: Alma in this sign points to a very masculine energy so, if you feel more identified with that energy despite if you’re a man or woman in this incarnation, this placement can explain it. In a past life, or maybe in more than one, you were a man or just carried a lot of the warrior and driven nature of Aries (ruled by Mars) throughout your lives. You probably were a soldier or lived during times of conflict such as the first or second World War (just to say an example). Being Aries the first sign in the zodiac, this could also mean that your soul is a young one. On the downside, this sign can indicate that you hadn’t developed your masculine side, or you didn’t pursue what you felt driven to do or, on the other extreme, you developed this energy to an extreme. In the 1st house it indicates that, from the first meeting, people can see right through your core. On the other hand, it could mean that you carry some significant features from your past life’s bodies (maybe you decided even to incarnate with the exact features) or your body has mysterious marks that signals the way you died in a past life. For example: if you were a soldier in your past life and died from a bullet, maybe you have a scar or mole in your body that signals the place where the bullet entered your past life body. On a bright side, it could mean that these individuals are not afraid to show who they really are to others.

Taurus/2nd house: for those who have this asteroid in Taurus, there is a theme surrounding Venusian themes in past lives such as being an artist of some sort or maybe you had a theme with food since Taurus also rules that. Now, in relation to the last point, it should be noticed that Taurus, being the ruler of the second house (possessions and money), you could have lived in either a poor environment where you didn’t’ have enough resources to feed yourself or your family (in an extreme case you could have been homeless or died from extreme hunger) or in a very comfortable or rich environment. On a light note, you could have lived from the land like a farmer. In the 2nd house the soul really enjoy having stability in life, it makes them feel valued, because that is a theme that you’ve struggled with in one or many past lives. Maybe you lived in a higher class were the only thing that was valued from you was your wallet or possessions. If you struggle with insecurities towards yourself, learn to value yourself and recognize that you are valuable just as you are.

Gemini/3rd house: you’re a soul who carries knowledge and intelligence from your past lives. You are (and were) curious about different topics. You were most probably a teacher or a salesman that had to travelled through different towns to sell the merchandise (the 3rd house rules short travels) and that’s why its easier for you to learn new topics or languages. Since the ruler of Gemini is Mercury, you could have worked in anything that involves communication. A reporter in a newspaper, a secretary, a copyist, a teacher, a traductor, a linguistic, etc. Another interpretation of these aspects is that you have a soul connection with one or all your brothers and sisters (just in the case that you have any) since the 3rd house also rules this theme. On the downside, maybe you used your knowledge to manipulate, lie or scam others (it can be consciously or unconsciously).

Cancer/4th house: you’re an emphatic, feminine, mothering, and nurturing soul for sure despite if you’re a male or female in this life. Since many incarnations you’ve learned to connect deeply with your emotions, your needs, and discover who you really are. These needs can variate to each one depending in which house your Cancer falls in. In the 4th house this asteroid signifies that many members of your family share a soul connection with you, making it higher the chance of them being part of your soul tribe and you cared deeply for the wellbeing of many people before, especially your own family. Due to this I believe that one of the most significant roles that you had was the role of a mother, nurse and caretaker. On the downside, through lifetimes you've endured hard lessons sorrounding your family/mother/self-care/self-value due to the lack of a nurturing environment. You tried to search for a place/person/soul tribe to call home, which could come from memories of being part of an arranged marriage or maybe you were abandoned or orphaned early in your life.

Leo/5th house: it won’t surprise me if many of you were a famous figure in a past life. You could have been an important warrior, a king, a leader, a queen, celebrity, writer or artist that many people look up to, since you shone bright like the energy of the sun. Despite this, I should warn that your fame could not have been the best among the people. There is this possibility, but, putting aside if you were famous or not, you learned how to connect to your inner child and value yourself in a ego level (remember that the sun revolves about the self, the ego). You learned how to value your uniqueness among the masses in a healthy way. Another interpretation of this revolves around children (5th house). Maybe you feel connected to them and vice versa because you cared for them in the past. Nurse, mother, caretaker. If you have children in this lifetime, it is a huge possibility that one, or all of them, share a soul connection with you.

Virgo/6th house: the healer pile. Most probably you were a doctor, nurse, reiki healer or you exercised any practice that had to do with healing those who suffered from injuries or pain in their bodies. Now health can affect the mind too, so there is also a chance that you were a therapist, psychiatrist or a counselor. If badly aspected, it could indicate that you suffered from health problems, be it physical or mental, in past lives or even that you passed away due to that. Maybe you carry some health problems in this current body. For example, you were a full smoker before and died due to that so, in this incarnation, you are asthmatic or have problems with your respiratory system. On a lighter note, Virgo and the 6th house talks also about work, so this could talk about that, in many incarnations, you had to work so hard. Even at the expenses of your own health like it was custom in the lower classes not so long ago.

Libra/7th house: your soul has made a learning voyage surrounding relationships. Through good and bad relationships, forced marriages that ended in either loving or hateful partnerships, your soul has been learning about how to make good and healthy connections with other people without compromising your needs or others. It’s more than probably that many of the people that you encounter in this lifetime have a soul contract or connection with you (karmic, soulmate or even twin flames) and the lessons they give you depends on how well you’ve learned to relate to others. Remember, this is also the house of open enemies so be careful with this. Not everyone has the best interest in you, so if someone step on your boundaries it is ok to detach and move on if its necessary. You don’t need to be in a bad relationship only because your soul feels secure being in the company of others. You are valuable just as you are and deserve to be appreciated too. The only theme here is bring balance. After all, Libra is represented by the Justice card in the tarot deck. A woman with a sword on one hand and a balance in the other, disposed to use the sword to restore the equilibrium if its necessary.

Scorpio/8th house: your soul has been experiencing powerful and sometimes traumatic changes through lifetimes due to Pluto being the ruler of Scorpio. In which area? That depends on the house that the sign falls in. It could be around your self-image, your possessions (maybe you lost all your money or possessions), your family, your education, your friends, your career, your relationships, etc. You’re a private and passionate being that, on the upper hand, learned how to remain in your power despite all the challenging changes that occurred in your life. Maybe you were part of a rich family and lost all the fortune in a bad investment (one of the themes of the 8th house is inheritence). On the downside, this aspect indicates some hidden traumas in the soul surrounding intimacy (maybe a past life abuse or you were a victim of a murderer) and the loss of power (you were enslaved, tortured or lost all your inheritance) and that’s why you tend to be so private and distrustful towards people. On a lighter note, you could have worked in a profession that involved power or managing inheritance such as a banker, manager or leader of a big company or a chief commander.

Sagittarius/9th house: just like the 3rd house, your soul also carries a lot of philosophical o religious wisdom, since these aspects signals an interest in higher learnings and beliefs. You could have been a priest, a monk or a philosopher in a past life. Since the 9th house rules long distance travels, having this asteroid could mean that your soul made long journeys in one or more incarnation. An example of this could be that you were a priest that travelled to teach in other cultures. Another would be that you were a sailor or you immigrated to a different place or you were a lawyer (since it involves a higher learning of the law). Finally, another interpretation of this aspects could be that you incarnated in a very different culture. Your soul remembers being part of another culture and maybe that’s why it’s easier and fascinating to you to learn the culture or language of another place. If you feel interest in a specific culture and time period, that could be a signal that your soul remembers living in that time/place.

Capricorn/10th house: these are the aspects of old souls and public figures. Being Saturn the ruler of the sign and house, it gives, consciously, or not, a heavy sense of duty or responsibility to those who have Alma in these aspects. After all, Saturn is the planet of karma, so is very natural to think that these souls carry a lot of lessons that they’ve learned through difficult situations in different past lives. That’s why they have a very serious, realistic, and mature approach towards life. Even when they are very young. In the 10th house the effect is similar, you also have a sense of responsibility in relation to work or public persona and that’s because your career was a huge theme in past lives. The chosen field that you chose must be aligned with something that your soul feels called to do just like in other lifetimes. In terms of careers, there is a possibility that you were a celebrity, a politician or leader of some sort, a worker of a big company, etc.

Aquarius/11th house: these are the aspects of my starseed people, my geniuses, my revolutionaries, and my humanitarians. Your soul has an outstanding mind in terms of understanding the problems and needs of the collective, this is an ability that you have been developing through lifetimes, that’s why, in part, it makes you a great friend and a huge humanitarian at heart, and, in the other, that’s why many of you fought against many injustices, prejudices and the conservative mindset of the society in past lives. The French Revolution is something that is coming through my mind as an example. For others, you had a brilliant mind that helped you to create outstanding things that changed humanity or the society you lived with. For others, your soul comes from another system or another galaxy. This could be one of your first incarnations on earth and that’s why you could feel different, uncomfortable, or misunderstood on planet earth. If you wonder, why are you here, maybe it's because you have come to raise the vibration of the earth.

Pisces/12th house: these are my mystics, my high vibrational beings, my spiritual group. It is impossible not to connect the higher vibrations or higher knowledge because, in past lives, you’ve been trying to connect with those realms through different methods like meditation, learning astrology, reiki, etc. You were a hermit in search to answer and connect with the higher knowledge of the universe, that’s why you could have been a monk or a priest. Atlantis strongly resonates with these aspects. It’s very probably that you carry, consciously or unconsciously, memories or feelings from your past lives along with psychic abilities. Since the 12th house rules the unconscious, your past life’s memories come when you dream. On the downside, your practices or abilities would have caused you to be persecuted and secluded from the rest of the world or you hide into drugs.

before lhh can enter, the receptionist tells him to pick a mask. looking at them, they have the designs of the 12 zodiacs... lhh tries to pick the rat

turns out it's sold out. most of the masks are sold out actually, except for a blank mask which provides no benefits except for hiding your identity. picking that, lhh heads on in to the recycling center.

lhh is the last of a group of 12, most wearing blank masks except for a child in black wearing a rat mask. he ends up talking with wang weirong (flying fox) who is in the same group, and they agree to team up for the qualification scenario <- it's a race, where the last of the 12 incarnation gets kicked out of the recycling center. the rewards are shown, with 2nd place having 'the right arm of the poor sword master who was stabbed in the back by a colleague' (kdj...) and first place being... 'noble one's battle boots'. lhh is shocked at this. why is this item here..?

when the scenario starts, the boy with the rat mask starts gaining speed due to the story of the rat influencing him (the rat came first in the zodiac race: https://www.historicmysteries.com/myths-legends/chinese-zodiac/29205/ ) but is attacked by the other incarnations and beat up. since only one person loses in this scenario, the other incarnations picked the boy to gang up on. lhh goes up to the boy, and tells him to get on his back. the boy protests a little, and his way of speaking is rude.. but lhh says he's not doing this for the boy's sake. when the boy gets on lhh's back, a simple stage transformation begins. the incarnations knew about the rat being first, which is why they attacked him, but they failed to account for how the rat won: carried on the back of the ox.

lhh, carrying the boy, gradually overtook the other incarnations. he was still attacked by the other incarnations who used story fragments, but he manages to beat them as instead of a story fragment, he has a real story. at the end of the race, he tells the boy to go on ahead and take first place. as lhh has taken the role of the 'ox', he has to be 2nd or else he'd be hit by the aftermath of the simple stage transformation.

lhh gets the 2nd place reward, and as soon as he uses it, he hears a voice.

"good job, maknae."

the heir to the eternal name then declares it will eat the story fragment. lhh is shocked for a moment, but as it eats the story he gains 15 days on his death timer (he still has that..!!!) and instead of the story disappearing, his understanding is increased. right, htten's goal is one kim dokja, so of course he would keep kim dokja's skills.

flying fox, the only incarnation who didn't attack lhh during the race, came 3rd. flying fox asks if lhh is in a group with the little boy, and lhh says no, but soon. he goes over to the boy, who was staring at the battle boots. scenes go through his mind. throughout all the regressions, these boots had never left his side. lhh asks yoo joonghyuk how he's turned out like this. yjh says he doesn't know what lhh is talking about.

he remembers something then. the 'confinement of truth' was something that sealed memories in exchange for its use. no way...

the kid asks who yoo joonghyuk is. lhh pauses before he answers. he thinks about yoo joonghyuk of the 1863rd turn. his favourite yoo joonghyuk. he smiles as he answers: "a friend who loves dirt."

Sorry if this is out of the blue, but what do you think of the whole "Heart players deal with their splinters"? To me, it doesn't really make sense?

I keep seeing it in classpecting posts (which are years old tbf) and imo, splinters are a Dirk thing, not a Heart thing.

I mean, if Heart is the aspect of the True Self, then it makes sense for Dirk as a Prince to destroy it and have multiple selves. But Nepeta, for example, never struggles with this? Nor Meulin?

The only other self Nepeta has is her role-playing persona, which she doesn't really struggle with, and her Dream Self which I think was awake on Prospit before the start of the game.

Unless you count Fefetasprite and Davepetasprite, and she seems happy as both.

I feel like sometimes fans only look at Dirk to define Heart and forget that Nepeta also was a Heart player, or that Dirk had a Destroyer class.

What the hell?

Yeah, this is absolutely a problem caused by what I like to call “Strider Bias”. Dirk is very, very frequently used as the sole reference for analysis of Heart as an Aspect, with complete disregard for the fact that he is a Prince. It’s such an issue within Classpect Analysis that even the Official Extended Zodiac Site fucked this up.

Splinters are a Dirk only problem, stemming from his specific manifestation of him being a Prince of Heart. This is because Heart is the Aspect of the True Self, and Prince is a Destructive Class. He expresses this by fragmenting his soul- or his self- into “Splinters” and scattering them elsewhere. This is not something that other Heart players have to deal with, because the nature of their relationship with Heart is not inherently Destructive. Destruction of Heart is needed for Splintering. That is in the very nature and title of the ability.

Earnestly, Spriting does not count towards Splintering unless what was put within the Sprite… Was ALREADY a Splinter. Davepetasprite^2 and Fefetasprite are not Splinters of Nepeta. They’re just Sprites that happen to have Nepeta in them, who happens to be a Heart player. No one’s saying Erisolsprite is a Splinter of Sollux or Eridan, nor that Davesprite is a Splinter of Dave or the crow. That side of the argument falls apart when you consider that the Heartbound aren’t the only people that get Sprited.

Same for the Roleplaying example. The Heartbound aren’t the only people that Roleplay. Nepeta’s roleplaying has to do with her being a Rogue of Heart. That’s a Redistribution class. She’s just putting her soul into a character for a while as a means of earnest self expression. She gets her friends to do it with her, yes, but none of it has to do with Splintering. It’s not Destructive. You need Destruction to form Splinters.

A 2100-Year-Old Medallion of Goddess Aphrodite and a Warrior Tomb Found in Russia

Archaeologists have unearthed a silver medallion depicting the Greek goddess Aphrodite (Roma Venüs) in a 2100-year-old grave of a priestess on the northeast coast of the Black Sea.

The unique medallion depicts ten rather than the known twelve signs of the zodiac and provides insight into religious practices at the time of its creation.

The discovery, in the opinion of archaeologists, raises the possibility that the buried woman was an Aphrodite priestess, the goddess of beauty and love. The rings, silver earrings, and other grave goods that were dedicated to the goddess led to these conclusions.

The grave is among a number of striking finds unearthed this summer at a site near the shore of the Taman Peninsula in southern Russia, east of the Crimean Peninsula and between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

According to the Oleg Deripaska Volnoe Delo Foundation’s spokesman Ruben Bunyatyan, archaeologists Nikolay Sudarev and Mikhail Treister discovered the woman’s grave during the Phanagoria archaeological expedition’s 2022 summer season.

The large medallion is made of silver and shows the goddess Aphrodite in the center, surrounded by symbols portraying 10 signs of the zodiac.

Greek historian, Hecataeus of Miletus, said that Phanagoria was founded in the sixth century B.C. by refugees from Teos, a Greek city on the coast of Anatolia now part of modern-day Turkey.

The Aphrodite medallion is surrounded by 10 embossed symbols that correspond to signs of the zodiac, including a lion for Leo, a bull for Taurus, and a scorpion for Scorpio. But the symbols for the zodiac signs Aquarius and Libra are missing, and the researchers don’t know why.

According to archaeologists, the inclusion of the zodiac indicates the medallion is a portrayal of “Aphrodite Urania” — the heavenly aspect of the goddess, as distinct from her Earthly aspect, “Aphrodite Pandemos.”

It also suggests a belief in astrology, the idea that the positions of celestial bodies can influence events on Earth, which was widespread throughout the ancient world.

The silver medallion found in the early first century B.C. grave shows the embossed head, shoulders, and hands of Aphrodite, based on other contemporary iconographic portrayals.

Such medallions were common in the territory of the Bosporan Kingdom as early as 2,300 years ago, said Maria Chashuk, senior research associate of the Phanagoria archaeological expedition.

The medallion is about 7 centimeters (2.75 inches) in diameter and 15 millimeters thick.

Medallions of the sort were used in many ways: as brooches, as headgear accessories, and as pendants.

Another intriguing find at the Black Sea site was a warrior’s tomb featuring a sword that had been made in early medieval Iran.

The large iron sword was found in the style of swords from the Sassanid, or the second Persian Empire, which ruled the areas of modern-day Iran, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and much of Afghanistan. The researchers think that the sword may have been a diplomatic gift or that it may have been taken as a military trophy.

According to the statement from the Volnoe Delo Foundation, “this massive, expensive and prestigious sword was part of the equipment of the horsemen of the era of the Great Migration,” a period when much of Europe and Western Asia was threatened by invasions of peoples from Central Asia, such as the Huns. The unique find not only reflects the tastes of the late antique warriors of the Taman Peninsula, but also suggests that in the middle of the first millennium Phanagoria had close political and cultural ties with the [Sassanid] Empire,”

The warrior’s tomb (first century B.C.) also contained fragments of a horse’s harness, buckles, belt tips, glass jugs, utensils, and wooden boxes, as well as a pottery jug, beads, a brass mirror, and a pair of iron scissors.

Fragmented AU -- The Cipher Zodiac Powers

Another thing that I was debating on to reveal, but I've decided to do so.

Proceed if you dare!!!

So, in Journal 3, Soos theorized that if they were successful in sealing/banishing/destroying Bill with the magic circle thing, they were all gonna get superpowers. A theory that Dipper didn't think was gonna happen.

Well, maybe not in Dimension 46'\.

But was made possible in Dimension 46-Delta, the version that the Fragmented AU takes place.

Perhaps due to a disturbance in the multiverse, the Cipher Ten was born with powers or would usually start to appear at around 13 years old. Whenever they use their powers, their eyes would glow a color. While they would share some specific ability, each of them have a unique power.

(I am using terms from the Superpower Wiki; one of my favs)

Dipper -- Cyan -- Personal Energy

For any My Hero Academia fans, it's sorta similar to One for All in that a powerful energy generates and flows throughout Dipper's body. And I make the comparison because, in a way, Dipper reminds me of Izuku (nerdy characters, bullied, penchan for journaling, kinda talks out loud, deep idolization of their respective mentors...etc)

Mabel -- Magenta -- Imagination Manifestation

Couldn't think of any power better than this for a dreamer like Mabel. Now, granted, I was a little hesitant on giving Mabel this ability as it can easily be OP *Cough*GremmyfromBleach*Cough* coughing...However, I hopefully manage to come up with a limit. It depends on the scale of her imagination as well as her attention span and where she is.

Stan -- Yellow -- Fire Generation/Manipulation

...I'm sure someone might make a connection of sorts. Also, blame @factual-fantasy for this (I love their AUs). Some back story time: as mentioned, some powers come around at birth, but for the Pines twins (both generations), theirs come later near the age of 13. So, Stan's powers manifested one day and he was surprised that the fire didn't really burn anything unless he willed it to. He wanted to show Ford, but decided to keep it a secret because...well he didn't want the bullying to get worse for both of them. It wouldn't be until later in life that Stan will show Ford, who has become aware of people with superpowers (ie, Fiddleford). Ford reacted... Well, Ford reacted in a way that Stan didn't expect and decided to not show it to him again. Interestingly enough, Ford had forgotten all about it, but Stan still remembers and refuses to let Ford see it again. He has a similar resolve to the kids due to what happened to their parents.

Ford -- Crimson -- ??? (Unknown)

As far as anyone is concerned, Ford hasn't shown signs of having any unique powers. Stan is curious, but figures that his high IQ is the power. Is that the case, or is it that he just doesn't have one? Or it just hasn't manifested yet, even into adulthood? Or maybe its because I have yet to make up my mind about what I want to give him? Who knows! lol

Soos -- Spring Green -- Stomach Storage

Only in the realm of cartoon logic would this make sense. Basically, Soos has access to a pocket dimension where he can store things via swallowing them whole and not chew it. Because if he does, it'll just go straight to his actual stomach. And while Soos is generally unbothered by it, the others took time to get used to it. And even then, it was still mildly unnerving to witness.

Wendy -- Amber -- Ice Generation/Manipulation

I originally wanted to give her something like super strength, but then I figured that it could just be a Corduroy trait. So, I gave her ice powers. There was a scrapped episode of Wendy getting weather-based powers and I am so curious as to what that would've entailed. Like, what was the story gonna be? How did she acquire that power? Would the episode reveal something about her mother?

Fiddleford -- Green -- Scanning

Whenever I get stumped on giving a character a power, I just take inspiration from their zodiac symbol. So, for Fidds, I just picked an ability called Scanning. He's like a human USB or 'data' storage of anything he sees, analyzing the data and information of anything not just technological and digital, but also biological, chemical and all that. He can also scan vitals (sort of like Baymax), which is proven to be useful when you have a friend who has a tendency to ignore his biological limitations.

(Note: I will say that both Fiddleford and Stan kept their powers a secret throughout their childhood and young adulthood, as one can imagine that once the word of their powers gets to the wrong person...well...things could've gotten bad for them.)

Pacifica -- Violet -- Animal Empathy

Another instance of me taking inspiration from the zodiac symbol. Not necessarily a Dr. Dolittle kind of thing, as she can't communicate directly with animals, but she can understand the animal's emotions and intentions. The same is said the other way around.

Robbie -- Gray/Silver -- Symphokinesis

I have seen four anime where singing/music is used in combat, Symphogear, Macross Frontier, One Piece, and Cross Ange, and I love it. I love music in general. So, Robbie can use this power via his own singing voice and guitar playing. Plus, he can expand the effect if he harmonizes with others through music. The effects and intensity of his powers usually lie in his intentions and emotions. After all, some say music speaks from the soul. From the heart.

Gideon -- Azure -- Telekinesis and Telepathy

Because why not? At least I didn't have to think too hard on what power to give the little menace. I'd imagine that with the amulet, he had very little limitations to what he can do with his telekinesis. But, since now it is his own power, it's very limited to what his mind can handle, which is surprisingly strong for a 10/11 year old. Remember: He's still a kid with kid-level emotions. Now, he can't read every mind and thought. Some mental walls are stronger than others and his telepathy usually works better on trusting/gullible/innocent people. Of course, it doesn't work on Ford for obvious reasons.
