i've been talking to IMS, this thing has gotten him pretty active, and he's like. extremely cool with dream and is happy to be helping emin. carbon literally called it "the dream of an open source developer"

all of them are excited ! download counts have been down for a bit and they are all struggling with money. in one night, dream has significantly bumped not only theirs but a lot of other modders' downloads. they really do respect him and the fact he was subscribed to their patreon made a lot of people see him in a really good light

this isn't a war you have to fight. they like him. stupid twitter users will always be weird and there's nothing to do there. the people who actually matter and will speak on how working with dream is are happy with him being around, THAT is the important thing

Big fan of how my cats mind works. They have enamel bowls for their wet food, so when I call them for dinner I just lightly clang the bowls together bc that's audible over the entire appartment. And Marcel will respond by going meowmeowmeowmeowmeow.

But Marcel was just napping next his bowl (bc you never know dinner magically happens 5 hours earlier right) with me nowhere near, and he accidentally rolled over against it, making the bowl fall over and reproduicing the same sound. Skorpion — Her personality, to begin with, consists of picking fights with as many people as possible and eating things she shouldn't. She'd do great as a demon... though her reckless, persistent harassment of every Hashira she can find might not lead to a very long lifespan as one. Not that she'd care too much about dying...

Suu — Tbh, he wouldn't be all that different as a demon. Same merman-like appearance, same zero braincells, same life strategy of hiding out in the deepest river he can stake his claim on and devouring anyone unfortunate enough to go in the water... He'd be happier as a demon (downsides included) than a human, by far.

Jericoh — Douma vibes, but more "scam artist/crime boss" than "cult leader". Takes way too much pleasure in tormenting poor, helpless, stupid humans who can't fight back. Probably collects Nichirin swords as trophies/to fulfill his sparkly-valuable-objects fetish. Either evades detection for centuries, or gets his ass in trouble REAL quick.

Mithri — Smug snake bastard is now a picky-eater demon who's actively offended when humans aren't honored to be devoured by them. Vain to an extent that makes Gyokko look modest, they'd likely end up picking constant fights with Slayers out of sheer spite. They'd have poison-based abilities, with dreadfully versatile tactics.

Cinnabar — They'd be one of those demons that looks far too much like a person/child (and takes advantage of that). Definitely sets mass wildfires/burns down entire towns just to munch on the charred corpses afterward. Doesn't have much interest in direct combat, but finds it hilarious to watch hopeful, determined Slayers burn alive after not landing a single hit on them. Uncontrollable in a dangerous way; Muzan would probably get sick of them very quickly.

Kegare + Kiyomi — These two have to stay together regardless of the Au (do not separate, as the joke goes), so I can picture a sort of Daki and Gyuutarou-ish situation for them. Kiyomi would likely be the stronger one of the two in this setting (mostly due to how many humans they'd eat), but Kegare is the one going out of his way to cause as many problems as possible (especially for the Slayer corps).

Ramblings on Lookism (Rare)pairs

Listen, I will ship almost ANYTHING if you can convince me.

Gun x Goo? Because I want to mention them again. YES. Hello? This just makes sense. I hate you, I love you, I'll kill you. If you're going to die then it will be by MY HANDS. Does it get any more romantic than this?

Gun x Daniel? The AO3 warning tags has got me swerving this pairing to be honest. However, I love the idea of these two as a cracky couple. Lots of opportunities for comedy and for Gun to pop up behind a trashcan and be like, "Hi, I was thinking about you."

Gun x Samuel? Lol. Sammy would NOT be able to keep up or hold Gun's attention. Maybe something casual until Sammy spirals and Gun nopes tf out.

Goo x Samuel? I actually think this has more legs than the Samuel x Gun pairing. Goo will be impressed with Samuel's moneymaking initiatives, and they will have a lot of unstable fun together. Secret friends with their secret kisses and activities?? Until Goo realises that Sammy is unhinged in a mentally traumatised way and not in a chaotin gremlin way like he is, then will also nope out.

Samuel x Jake? There's just so much sexual tension there. Please just kiss already (see pic above). Nothing like this pairing to bring out the worst in each other, and that's really saying something for Jakey. Could be end game if Samuel goes to therapy. Actually, Sammy in therapy would just be unstoppable. Period.

Sinu x Jake? Yep. These two green flags would be bringing out the best in each other. Insufferable martyrs though for Big Deal. God, can you just imagine how happy the Big Deal gang would be seeing these two get together?

Vasco x Jake? Huh. Never thought about it but 2 himbos? The funniest shenanigans. I do think the dynamic can get a little boring after a while without one half to anchor the other. Their flirting scenarios, however... Imagine Vasco getting all red faced and flustered with Jake's winks and one liners!

Vasco x Jace? The cutest, most supportive couple. You just know that Jace is going to be affectionately looking on at Vasco doing all his Himbo shit.

Eli x Crystal? Ehh. I need convincing. With Eli's latest character development and what I remember of Crystal, they would clash and not in a fun sexy way. Both seem too headstrong and bullheaded to get on well.

Crystal x Zoe? Like Vasco and Jace, these two would be really adorable together. Would both help each other out with their Lookist tendencies. Zoe's kindess would also help to soften Crystal up.

Zack x Johan? YES. Johan the tsundere with Zack the simp. Have you not seen what Zack has put himself through in the latest arc? Everything he's doing to bring his boy home? If we take Mira out the equation, this might as well be canon.

Vin x Zack? I could not see this at all until the latest arc and actually, these two have the funniest interactions. Vin brings out Zack's bastard side from the first few arcs. I bet they would have the most pissed off sex. Can't imagine it lasting for anything more than a casual fling though.

Vin x Mary? No. Absolutely not. Love their platonic friendship and how they are bffs more than anything. I'll be honest, if it was another writer I probably would not mind. But PTJ has trouble writing a female character with depth so. Nope. Can't be doing that to our queen.

Sally x Warren? Is this even a rarepair. Either way, meh. It's fine. If Sally was shown to have a personality, sure. These 2 can share the 1 braincell.

Daniel x Jay? They are a very cute pair, and I do like how Jay's feelings are canon. This feels very k-drama with the Chaebol falling for you.

Daniel Harem? No. I generally dislike most harem tropes, sorry.

And just throwing in Hobin Harem? Definitely not. As above. Especially because this makes me roll my eyes that it's PTJ living out his fantasies.

Lastly, clarifying that I'm not fetishising male x male pairings. When hardly any of the female characters are developed, it's hard for me to care about most het couples or fem x fem pairings.

Sit-Down Saturday

For my Mega Man X fics:

Their world isn't too different from ours in terms of what's available for leisure: karaoke, drinking, video-games, writing, reading, drawing, cooking, etc, but the characters do different stuff, obviously.

When alone:

X likes to people watch incognito. Going out into the streets and seeing how people live, work, and play relaxes, encourages, and strengthens him to continue doing what he does. He also reads and watches movies in his free time.

Zero likes to work out. (What a shocker). Going through his katas and routines relaxes his mind and sharpens his instincts. When not doing that, he unknowingly takes after his German father: he loves to go out and walk and hike into nature. (I have it on good authority that Germans take a nature walk very, very seriously.) He may or may not use the Hunter teleporters to get out into deep nature reserves.

Axl is still figuring out what he likes to do by himself, since "pranking other members" apparently does not count by the Hunters' standards. In Red Alert, he was either working, training, sleeping, or hanging out with other members for fun. He's more used to group activities: karaoke, little games that test ability (like shooting games), wrestling, things like that. Right now, he likes playing video games, and watching movies, but he's more comfortable in a group setting where he can watch everyone like the little assassin he is.

(He still does pranks, though. That one wall in Signas's office was never the same again....)

When together:

Zero and X: these two tend to spar for fun, actually. Light-hearted spars are very, very different from training spars, after all. These spars often occur without their armor on to further differentiate it. A lot of stupid and senseless-for-combat moves are pulled here. These spars also tend to be where these two work out new moves they will eventually use in combat. They also discuss strategy, old battles, and old empires in the past (the Roman Empire somehow, someway always gets brought up.)

Zero and Axl: These two don't actually hang out all that much alone, despite how close they are. (But if you think about it, Zero's a cool older brother, and isn't as keen to hang out with the younger brother, if you get my drift. Heaven help you though if you mess with Axl, though, because only Zero or X can mess with Axl, in Zero's book.) When they do, they: wrestle, take a hike in the woods, or pull stupid stuff (like pranks or dares) in the city or in-base. Zero also might pull Axl into working out, but it will inevitably turn into a training session somewhere, somehow.

X and Axl: They tend to eat out, actually. X goes out of his way to help Axl eat his way through Arcadia City, and Axl enjoys the food. When not doing that, they might walk, or people watch. (Axl was at first dubious at using an activity he used for assassination for fun, but he's now a fan.) Very rarely, they do trick shots with their blasters and pistols.

Zero, X, and Axl: there are no braincells in this equation. Their shenanigans range from walking around in the city incognito, wrestling, movie watching, ability games, stupid dares, pranks (shhh), and eating their way through the city. Signas will magically have a mission for at least one of them when all three of them are free and decide to hang out. He gives them at least 24 hours, though.

My writing style is all over the place, it can range from sophisticated Shakespearean to zero braincells active.

I write short fics but I can write longer ones I'm just not sure if I should.

I watched alot of Animes but I'm not confident in writing for a number of characters, doesn't mean I won't they just might be OOC.

My brain is all over the place.

I can't stop myself from simping tbh.

I write dark content but not all of it (certain things are a big no no for me I'll add the list for yes and no later)

Easiest way to know is to ask me.

If you submit a request I might get it done withing the same day or two days max, I write in any down time I have if I'm waiting for something or have nothing to do.

I'm really enjoying this so far and I love it whenever I see interactions with my posts, it gives me a very unexpected rush of serotonin.

What are your thoughts on Larx/Elrena I'm curious now lol, I'm new to this blog

Allow me to preface this with the following: I was introduced to this series by a friend who only told me about Xion. I got a copy of Days as my first *played* KH game because of that, and got more attached to Larxene than anyone else. My first experience was with the GBA version of CoM several years earlier. And henceforth, I will be using Elrena as the primary name in this post, unless the statement specifically refers to her time as a Nobody.

...This post is almost 1000 words of unorganized thoughts after this point.

So.

Elrena is a character I picked up on really soon after starting my journey with this series. As in, before her origin was revealed, I was already obsessing over how she might have been before.

This meant that when the reveal actually occurred, I was thrilled. Because when KHUx rebranded, and we met Lauriam, my little singular braincell made the connection that "Hey, these characters get along like they were already friends, maybe they came from the same place."

I was revealed to be right about six months after mentioning this to someone.

Beyond that, we've got her storyline in KHUx proper. She's revealed as a very quiet, withdrawn character. Polar opposite to Larxene, though we know they're mostly one and the same. When Larxene dies in KH3, we even witness her briefly returning to the old, clearly anxiety-bearing Elrena. She becomes, quite literally, a completely different person after she disappears.

The KHWiki explains that she was chosen to be a Dandelion due to her aversion to Darkness. When she dies in KH3, Larxene releases more Darkness than ANY other True Organization member. When Lauriam asks her about Strelitzia, Elrena explains that they weren't exactly friends, but that they did talk sometimes.

My theory, as someone who came from a similar situation, is that she had a bad start to life. That before Daybreak Town, she may have been in an abusive situation of sorts- perhaps one she ran away from. The aversion to Darkness stemmed from such a situation. The refusal to admit that she had friends came from a need to be independent for the sake of survival. The anxiety she expresses around the Union Leaders also points to this, as does the aggression and refusal to follow orders as a Nobody.

We also see her actively interacting with more than just her default/preferred element in KH3. She makes an entire labyrinth of ice. A MASSIVE labyrinth of ice. Having the skill to do that, but not using it, is very much a trauma response- you don't show off every skill when people push you to constantly do more on account of them.

Part of this- most of this- is projection. I've seen myself in this character since day 1. She was everything I ever aspired to be. I didn't see her as a bad character, I saw her as someone who stood up for herself. Something I couldn't do.

That's one part of my thoughts. The other part is her connection with Lauriam/Marluxia in particular.

Like. We know that Elrena knew Strelitzia. There's a non-zero chance that Lauriam had been introduced to her before Strel's death, which is kinda obvious, since he recognizes her by appearance.

The fact that Elrena is the FIRST person Lauriam goes to for help, despite knowing Strelitzia's connection to the Player, is important to me. The fact that Elrena's willing to help despite "not" being friends with the deceased. The fact that Elrena knows where to find Lauriam when she has something to share about the situation is also important, since she's the ONLY non-leader, bar Player, to enter the clock tower.

Her lack of confidence when they're being sent into the Lifeboats, as well- specifically needing to be comforted, told she's worthy of survival, and being given a task to keep her grounded. The fact that she only calmed down enough to agree when she was told she was needed. The fact that the only one who registered what she needed was the older brother of the friend she never admitted to having.

More importantly, the fact that Marluxia and Larxene were very much separate from the rest of the Organization. They were all each other had. The fact that Marluxia doesn't face Sora at all after his introduction until AFTER Larxene is defeated.

The fact that Marluxia and Larxene face Sora together in the Keyblade Graveyard, that their attacks are so specifically balanced/timed that when one goes down, the other falls within a few hits. That Luxord is also there, but has a third of the HP, so most of the battle is just against those two. That their death scenes both have them remember their pasts. That Larxene, returning to herself, specifically remembers the goal she was given. That she's very clearly referring to Marluxia when she refers to her 'secret.'

These two characters literally have a bond transcending time and memory. There's been no Red String Of Fate trope done better than this.

I just.

So much of Elrena's characterization depends on the people she cares about. She won't admit that she cares about them, but they're so important to her that without them, she'd be someone completely different.

I see myself in this character. I always have. She's impacted how I interact with the world around me. The fierceness she has as a character is what's carried me out of a lot of bad situations.

I have a lot of thoughts about her. I can't put a lot of them into words. She's all I think about, but there's nothing going on inside my head half the time. Just like. a vague image of Elrena. just vibing.

I play her in my roleplay server. I have fun with her. Everyone else has fun with my depiction of her. I want to see her in KH4 and I want to see if I'm correct about how she'd respond to having her ultimate goal fulfilled. Because with the kind of anxiety she displays, she's either going to be the type to isolate, or the type to just seemingly give up when there's no more that *has* to be done.

...I just. really enjoy her as a character.

15. What is something about your OC can make you laugh?

She is such a dumb lesbian. She has zero idea that another person is genuinely into her unless that braincell behaving like the DVD screensaver hits that corner juuuuuust right.

17. Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

There is not a lot I regret about adding to her story. I am definitely aware of her power creep for a vampire that's less than a decade dead, but also I stand by my choices to give her the power and influence and limits she has. Shes young, she's easily tricked, she should be easy to break- but I like that her story is one of resilience and forward momentum despite the horrors and unlife routinely beating her down.

I think the big one was I did play a romance with her on Tumblr, but I honestly consider it more of a learning experience than an actual regret. 1) I learned I struggle writing and typically don't enjoy ERP and 2) I learned that I wanted to maintain some of Hazel's negative qualities but didn't want to actively roleplay them online. Hazel is a little possessive of her partners and it is Not a good thing. When I played her possessiveness in a tabletop game with people I had been playing with for a long time, there was a foundation of trust to know where our lines were. My first romance with Hazel online in 2020(?) didn't have this foundation and I found it was excruciatingly hard to talk to my scene partner about this. Which shoulda been a red flag earlier.

In all truth, I still consider that romance canon in her story, but story wise I completely rewrote that Hazel realized that she was 1) not very happy 2) taking more pleasure from the fact her lover was dependent on her for food than anything else and 3) was so paranoid someone was going to have someone take a swipe at her or her partner.

There was one time recently in which one of my lesbian posts got a bit of attention from TERFs but because they were very Disappointed that my post was trans inclusive in a way that was obvious to anyone with working braincells but not to people accustomed to thought-terminating clichés, so they felt extra betrayed I guess.

This was all happening at the same time that the post was also circulating among people who're trans inclusive, so I had to keep checking my activity page to block the fascists by checking each individual url.

Point is I got to one of their blogs, it was absolutely a TERF, her pinned post was her whole tough mean bitch act and shit. The literal following post right below that was her saying "It seems I just wasn't meant to have friends" with zero notes. These bitches are miserable lmao.
