Finished watching Kipo last night and did some doodles bc I’m procrastinating

The whole ‘cure’ thing really threw me, that was darker than I expected it to go. Very effective way to have significant casualties without technically killing off a bunch of characters, you know? They’re still dead, but you don’t have to say the word or show a corpse.

(The waistcoat-Wolf is a result of me trying to balance how bad I wanted her to wear a suit for prahm with how she’d definitely not want anything that could get in the way of free movement, plus her Clothes Source was Hugo.)

The woman that Kipo thinks of, tall and blonde and a cold look in her eyes, reminds her of Shadow Weaver.

"Adora," Catra says. She doesn't even need to explain.

Adora reaches out and a moment later, a huge grey cat is being embraced by Kipo.

I’ve got like a sorta crack idea for something

So I was listening to the song Yumyan Hammerpaw from Kipo and the wonder beast and I was thinking what if everyone in Jackson doesn’t have a clue about who Joel exactly is and what is past was. So people start to spread rumors about how he’s this big tough guy who’s probably killed hundreds of infected and has taken on giant groups of raiders single handedly and other ridiculous sorts of things

Now Ellie and Tommy who catch wind of these rumors and think that they’re funny as hell seeing as they know that Joel is nothing more then an old softy who’s nowhere near what he was in the beginning of the outbreak days. So they decide to play into the joke. And one night while it’s open mic night at the Tipsy Bison, Ellie and Tommy start singing a song that they wrote entailing the tale of the brave and super strong Joel Miller and how he’s taken down entire hordes single handedly

Now just as Ellie is singing her bit and everyone in the bar is getting into it, singing along with her, Joel walks into the bar and everyone goes quiet leaving Ellie to be the only one singing and just as she trails off with a “He also shoots lasers from his eyes and puts out fires with his tears?” She looks over to see Joel in the middle of the bar. At first she thinks he’s unamused by the whole ordeal but then she sees the slightest smile on his lips and that immediately gives her the sign to keep going

Tommy picks it up too and starts strumming the guitar and as the final chorus plays, Joel can’t help but to join in as well no matter how ridiculous it is, seeing his kid and brother happy and having fun makes him happy even if it’s at his own expense
