I think my hope for Damamu to get more screen time and possibly more duels and important role may become a reality in the next season and while I know Damamu loves fusion I want to see them maximum summon as well at least once
Because there is not enough fanart of this b*tch. /s
I like the design of his true form. The colours are great, but not at all what I had expected, so this was born.
Up left we have the canon design. To the right we have what is the closest I had thought the colours would be.
Down left is one of the dragons seen in ep 59. And on the right, we have him in MIK uniform.
…and while drawing him, I was like “this is how I would draw the mane of Suicune… Suicune looking ass.” And then I coloured the MIK version and I was reminded of Darkrai. It doesn’t help that someone already mentioned that he looked like a Pokémon reject. Love your brain.
Is it just me or do Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series happen in a certain pattern?
I call this a "Trinity theory" and to keep long story short: the trinity of series followes an entire generation of players and fans and that's why YGO is still so damn popular
Examples:
DM, GX and 5ds were with us kids that were growing up during 2000s. DM set the stage for all later series and gave the necessary drama and fun for when we all were just wee lads and lasses. GX was a bit more mature as it went on, as it followed us through our early teens and later teens while 5ds was much more mature and matched the audience that started liking YGO as kids.
Then you have Zexal, Arc-V and VRAINS for a new generation of kids that grew up in late 2000s and early 2010s and it follows similar pattern: establishing, maturing and seriousness
And I do think and hope that SEVENS and GoRush follow the same formula because to me, GoRush really is a tad more mature but still really funny and off the wallas, as SEVENS established. I hope the next one will be mature like in this pattern, but we have to wait and see 🤭
I may not have barely any experience with Yu-Gi-Oh (Go Rush is literally the first one I'm experiencing) but I can already tell that Go Rush's second OP is top tier and it's even better that it's by the band that did that banger OP for Death Parade.
Literally what is my chibi/more simplified style...nobody knows, even me
...I actually wanted to draw Yuuamu at first but she just refused to turn well orz
Found a fun thread about questionable Yu-Gi-Oh plays people have made. My favorite is "My opponent once died by attacking into my Majesty Hyperion. I think I bricked, but still summoned him because his 2700 DEF is pretty nice to survive. He has an effect that your opponent also takes any battle damage you take from battles involving a Fairy. I guess he didn't read that, he paid some amount of LP, made a huge monster, attacked into it and died. That was pretty funny, I won because I bricked lol."
I just like the idea of Damamu Loving the taste of food and the fact they eat a lot of it than a normal person would be able to it’s like it tastes so good for them they just keep eating, you know what this sorta thing (may be adjusted) shall be one of my head canons for Damamu 😃
This is another great scene from episode 53 for Damamu at least for me (I would love if they dueled more though my biggest hope for season 3)
