Sukuna's obsession with you would be so obnoxious that you would be regretting your life decisions.

He sees you for the first time after he's done battling (killing) some random sorcerers for fun, roaming around bloodthirsty for next target.

You were on your way back home from the late night shift from your work. That's when you noticed him. Blood dripping out from a small cut on his right cheek was what drew your attention, walking straight up to him, offering him a bandaid insisting he's hurt.

Sukuna initially planned to kill you but before he could act upon his devious intentions, you were there babbling on how he should treat his cut right away or it would result in infections and so and so.

He stilled, watching your every move skeptically.

If it were some other person, he or she would have given a damn run to Olympics for their life, though it would turn out useless as one swift motion of his finger would slice once's body similar to a piece of fruit.

You, however, seemed to have no such care. "Your tattoos are cute! Where did you get them done?"

Sukuna didn't answer. He just kept staring at you. Feeling awkward you excuse yourself, forgetting about this incident the next day.

And that's how you got yourself kidnapped the second time he sees you when you went out to run errands, humming to yourself scanning a box of strawberries.

He would try several methods to impress you. And one of those several methods includes treating you good food and that's how a freshly prepped human hand by uraume was served to you.

"do I seem like a cannibal to you?" You ask frustrated. First of all you didn't get to watch your favourite Netflix series you planned to watch after running errands that day. And now that he did kidnapped you at least he could treat you with some hospitality.

"you don't like it? humans have peculiar taste buds! You could give it a try though it's good...." Says sukuna in a monotonous voice. Uraume nods at his words.

"are you really king of curses or so? I thought that was just a mere myth—" the hand uraume served to you slit into two pieces as he gestured his finger in a certain way, making you gulp "it's not a myth I understand." Better not to agitate him much you never know when you end up like that hand on his plate. Shivers ran down your spine on this thought.

"what do you humans prefer to eat then?" He asks, dragging your plate to him, munching on one finger.

"ahh— umm...normal staple food would be enough...."

"mhmm kk"

"btw, if you don't mind can I ask you a question?"

"go ahead..."

"whose hand is that?"

"oh it's the guy you were talking to in that store."

"......"

Later that evening a box of strawberries was delivered to you by uraume, saying sukuna wanted you to have those. You thank her awkwardly.

The king of curses is kinda cute, you thought, even though not being able to shrug off the thought of the staff guy you consulted with in the store being dead because of — nvm.

You do regret your life decisions, but maybe not too much.

Though sukuna would never accept that he's heads over heels for you, uraume and others could sense the subtle change in his behaviour around you.

Considering he himself brought those strawberries for you.

Hi! I sent you an ask a couple of days ago and I'm not sure if you saw it because it was just before mother's day (btw, belated happy mother's day!!), but I'm interested in your opinion so I'm sending it again.

Although, if you simply didn't want to answer that particularly ask I'll understand and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

I've seen some Elriels using the line 'that love would trump even a mating bond' as some kind of foreshadowing or even a confirmation of their ship, but it's kind of starting to irritate me because I really can see it making a reference to Elucien.

Maybe I'm so desperate for an announcement that I'm grasping at any possible crumbs, but here's my logic:

Feyre and Nesta ran away from their mating bond the moment they found out or were confronted about it because it was the last shred of their humanity to hold. Imagine this situation amplified with Elain, who loved being human and the mundane things correlated with her humanity.

I can see her in denial regarding the bond until the last minute, but what she will not be able to control is the love she will eventually feel and nurture for Lucien once she gets the chance to really know him. It'll be her love for him, their love, that will finally allow her to overcome her prejudice against the bond and to finally be open to the magical, sacred, and eternal tie she has with Lucien.

So love would indeed trump a mating bond.

It is a silly argument, isn't it? It's their big catch phrase to try to make E/riel more romantic than they are but with Sarah's writing, love always trumps the mating bond especially because as you said the mating bond is the thing that often puts a wedge between the FMC and MMC (at least in the ACOTAR series). To your point, Feyre was nearly ready to open her heart to Rhys then ran away from him when she found out about the bond. Nesta was willing to love Cassian but got into a big fight with him when he tried to call her mate. Elain is avoiding Lucien for the sole fact that they have a bond.

So these sisters are not picking these guys because they have a mating bond when it's the thing they are running from. The mating bond is the equivalent of a meet cute, fate saying "Hey!! This is someone I think you should meet!" but it's not the reason any of them fall in love. They fall in love for who the person is, their bravery, their kindness, their selflessness, etc.

How can E/riel's love trump a mating bond when it can't even trump a regular kind of love? I've never read Az or Elain giving a single reason for why they have feelings for the other. Elain has never spoken of Azriel's kindness towards her or his bravery. Az has never mentioned Elain's intelligence, humor or her bravery. I couldn't give you a single canon reason for what they like about the other whereas in the Cassian bonus he noted Nesta's steel and cunning mind. Where Rhys tells us he fell in love with Feyre, not because she was his mate, but because she wasn't afraid of him and she was defiant towards Amarantha. The Az bonus would have been a perfect time for us to witness exactly what it is they're drawn too but instead we have Az letting Rhys think he just wants her because he's jealous he didn't get a bond, that he was preparing to use her in place of a pleasure hall, we have him noting GWYN'S charming irreverence. And in the actual book we have Elain giving credit to Feyre for her rescue, Az claiming Elain shouldn't search for the trove with Amren reprimanding him and Az giving credit to Nesta for killing the king in HOFAS. So I am truly left confused because I don't see either of them saying anything complimentary about the other. Az likes how she looks and that she got him a gift but beyond that.....?????

And really, love on its own can't trump love with a mating bond because without a bond it's just love.

Not that there is anything wrong with "just love" but it's kind of like saying we're both eating brownies when in fact mine is a brownie sundae.

Brownie's are delicious, no one is turning their nose up at a brownie. But if my brownie has ice cream and hot fudge and whipped cream, there is something that sets my brownie apart from yours and no matter how good your brownie is, you still can't call your brownie a brownie sundae.

Love is love and all of it is beautiful.

But love WITH a mating bond is always going to be something a little extra and trying to spin it any other way is simply someone pretending they are eating ice cream with their brownie when they are actually not.

At present Elain and Lucien only have a mating bond, not love with a mating bond. But if their characters fall in love in one of the next books, they would have the brownie sundae, not just a brownie and the same cannot be said for e/riel.

Finally finished my anniversary piece, even if it's a couple days late :')

The 14th of January was mine and Heinz' third anniversary! He's been with me since 2021 and seriously, he's made my life so much better. Things haven't always been easy, but imagining that he's by my side helps me so much whenever I'm feeling down or stressed. Falling for him took me completely by surprise, and I never expected my love for him to grow so strong, but here we are. I love all my f/os, but he still earns a special place among them. He's my everything and my heart belongs to him❤️

I hope I can draw more of him and me/Selina in the coming year, since I actually have so many ideas! I want to show more of their story, I want to draw funny and cute moments between them, I want them to be happy and completely and utterly infatuated with each other. Here's hoping for many more good memories together <3

Name: Yoruhana Kazama

Gender: Nonbinary

General Appearance: Standing at a nice even 5'12", Yoruhana for the most part stands heads over their peers and one of their parents. A head full of dark brown hair (almost black), often carefully styled to look like a spiky mess and somewhat muscular as a result of their training with one of their fathers. Their eyes are brown and their skin is also olive toned. If one were to get a good look at them next to their parents, you could almost pick out which of their features came from who, almost to an eerie degree. They're often seen wearing casual clothing most of the time, such as a white tank top, jeans, and light reddish-orange fabric wrapped around their hands and upper arms. It's their go to outfit that they usually don't change out of even after training.

Personality: Surprisingly mellow most of the time! They're more keen to go with the flow and see where things take them. Don't let their laidback nature fool you however, even they have their limits and will snap when pushed too far.

Special Talents: They've gotten the advanced strength from both their parents. And well, the ability to shoot lasers out of their eyes. (And surprise! Devil Gene on top of that!)

Who they like better: They'd rather not play favorites if they could help it but admittedly, they do like Lambda just a tiny bit more.

Who they take after more: Jin. Although swap his stoicism for something a tad more softer.

Personal Head canon: They're something of a delinquent themself! Admittedly, a rather lax delinquent but one nonetheless. They tend to get away with skipping classes most of the time by putting on the front of a hardworking student, often pretending to be busy tutoring people. Their personality helps them a ton.
