AUGHHH 6.11 In Another Life a whole episode about a guy who loves his dad so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He made up the fact that some version of Bobby is dead and his lungs stopped working about it!!! He watches Bobby watching over him, aware of what he's doing even while comatose!!! "I still find it hard to believe you left a world where you could fix everything" "not everything" he couldn't bring Bobby back to life of course he would give up any good that world had to offer he has to come home to his DAD!!!!!!!! Also Bobby beating him at cards like Eddie beats Chris at boggle the fathers and sons of it all!!!!!!!! Athena and May both saying out loud that Buck is Bobby's kid!!!!!! I am ALSO going to cry about it.......

Walkabout series - Pierro edition

Pierro is a slow walker. He's the kind of slow walker people actively complain about, who stops in the middle of walkways to start a conversation or look at things. Nobody ever really says anything about it though, because he's pretty intimidating in his own right, and he's an older fellow, so others don't really want to bully him for stuff he can't help.

He takes frequent breaks to sit down (arthritis will do that to a guy), and may on occasion tell you to just go ahead if he worries that he's slowing you down or you're getting impatient. However, if you stick around, there's a pretty decent chance he'll start telling you about various stories and past experiences, and will then in turn let you rant at him. He's got a lot of knowledge about the world and how everything works, and he makes a really good conversational partner, despite how long it may take him to get out of his regular grouch of a mood and actually talk to you. He gives really good, solid advice, too, and you find it often helps you in more situations than just the specific one he provided the advice for.

He'd never actually say it aloud, but Pierro truly does enjoy the company of others in low-stakes situations like going on walks or just hanging out - it's not an opportunity he gets often thanks to his high-stress position, and it usually gets ruined by either the other person's impatience, his own foul mood souring the vibe, his detachment (and superiority) from his subordinates and most other people throwing off the dynamic, or a mix of it all. If those are things you can consistently push through, he will genuinely think a lot higher of you, value you more as a person, and just begin to enjoy your company more in general.
