i went to a ghibli museum exhibit yesterday and let me tell you i was in tears the whole time i walked through it and it made me remember why i love drawing so much. the pure, raw emotion miyazaki puts into those films, how he advocates for better working conditions for animators, how every character is so multifaceted, how just the simple and mundane things in life are romanticized and emphasized to be things we should apreciate more often... god i love that shit so much the work that studio puts out is truly so inspiring
seeing the original cell sheets, the messy sketches, painted backgrounds used for the old style of animations before everything went digital, learning about his creative processes... like the man literally sent out poems to his staff to inspire them while creating. that’s so beautiful to me idk artists are amazing i love creating shit oh ymh fgdjdfklhh

“You know, one of these days someone is going to kidnap you or something if you keep the door unlocked all the time, Y/n.”
Jimin’s voiced boomed inside the apartment as he walked in through the door. He held up a bag of snacks and some drinks for you two.
“Jimin! I haven’t seen you in so long.”
“Maybe because it’s because you’ve been preoccupied with something...or maybe someone?” Jimin wiggled his eyebrows and you playfully shoved him.
“It’s not like that. I have work too, you know.”
“Sure, sure. I won’t press on it for now. Let’s put on a movie and relax for a bit. We haven’t done this in forever.”
Jimin headed to his room, already knowing where everything was placed. He was able to find a huge blanket you kept in your closet and quickly set up a movie. He ushered you to go under the covers, wrapping an arm over your shoulder and pulling you into a cuddle. You two would then spend the next two hours or so watching some movie and eating snacks. Though, it would be a lie if you said that you had your full attention on the movie. If anything, you probably only paid a couple minutes watching it and then your mind just wandered elsewhere.
This was your first time in months just spending time with Jimin, and it almost brought tears to your eyes. You and Jimin have been childhood friends. You and were were the same age, you being a bit older than him by a few months. Your family and his have always been friends, so it was no wonder that you both were stuck to the hip. You both went to the same schools, and it was in high school that you two actually decided to be in a relationship. Everyone was expecting it, and you two just...thought it would work. It only lasted three weeks. Within those three weeks, you both decided that you worked better as best friends, not lovers. You loved Jimin, you really did, but not in that way.
He was the one that introduced you to Jungkook. You had only met him by accident, really. Jimin was very protective of you, and didn’t want you to get mixed in with his life since he knew that it could get a bit hectic. But life wanted to take its own course, and now here you were...with two people waiting on you.
Thinking about those two...your face scrunched up into a grimace. You were still unsure about the whole situation. You didn’t want to hurt either one of them, but your heart hurt thinking about everything.
“Okay. Tell me what’s wrong.”
Your eyes widened as Jimin stared at you, the movie paused on the screen. “You’ve been sitting there just looking at me. I know you, Y/n. Tell me, you know I’m always here for you.”
And then, you bursted into tears. You told him everything. All your events within the past couple of months, all your thoughts, all your fears. Jimin just waited patiently until you finished, knowing that you needed to let it all out.
“You always did have a complicated relationships. Ahh, here comes Jimin saving the day again.” He chuckled a bit before pulling you closer to him, his warmth spreading throughout your body.
“Y/n, I love you. We’ve been together through think and thin. I knew there was something wrong the second that I didn’t see you coming over anymore and Jungkook started speaking less and less of you. And then Yoongi started talking about you, and Jungkook was holed up in his room.
You really made an impact on their lives you know, even if you don’t realize it. I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad, so don’t give me that look, I’m just telling you facts. After we found out, Jungkook was a mess. He really did miss you, I want you to know that. He would always scream, his voice went sore for a couple of days and he couldn’t sing. And then the stuff that happened with Yoongi....ahh, Yoongi hyung really knows how to keep his emotions in check. But he’s been stuck in his studio for some time now.
I’m not telling you any of this to sway your decisions. I want you to be happy no matter what. And if you end up being happy with either one of them, we’re all behind you. So don’t shed those tears anymore, I’m here for you. I know you’ll make the right choice. Do it for you, not anyone else okay?”
There were a few moments of silence as you tried to absorb all the advice Jimin had given you. You wiped away a few lone tears from your face. You gave a small smile to Jimin.
“Thank you Jimin. Really, you always know what to say.”
“Ah, anytime. I’m here for you. Always.”
