Things I don't like about my fav K-pop groups:

Red Velvet - the fandom mainly. They have a superiority complex that is through the roof, however it has been growing less over the years as the fandom gets older. Also, the small mismanagement of SM with Red Velvet, there have been so many times especially in this year where they say oh yh here's an activity that will happen with rv and then it gets cancelled, like what? This doesn't happen, or at least not as much, in other K-pop groups under SM, I'm tired of it.

IVE - Unnecessary hate that the members get. Like ong where is it all coming from? It's too much. Sometimes, I may understand it but like sometimes it just gets out of hand. Especially with Wonyoung, the strawberry issue was ages ago and people are still angry over it like chill. Liz is getting unnecessary hate for weight gain like are u actually angry about someone gaining weight? You must be bored af. Gaeul got some hate in June for someone on Twitter saying that Gaeul said the n word yet there was never any evidence in the first place for her saying it and these claims were false in the end. The hate is so unnecessary many times. Really. Also, there are rumours that Starship only wants Yujin and Wonyoung (possibly Gaeul as well as she was supposed to go with Yujin and Wonyoung to pd48) to shine and I can see where that comes from. Btw, mini album when? I'm getting tired of only 2 songs each comeback... Another thing is the tension between the girls, it's clear that there is not complete good communication, clearly Yujin and Wonyoung are upset about Iz*one disbanding and they're not over it yet, so it's sad. They communicate with each other not as people who are close but like co-workers almost.

Seventeen - this was difficult to decide because in my opinion everything about Seventeen and the fandom is near to perfect. However, the only problem I have is that they're too perfect. They're too good to be true and I'm scared that we will get a twisted and ugly truth when all of seventeen ends. They have been in barely any controversies and the ones that they have been in were not that big as well. So, I'm just afraid it's going to backfire on the whole load of us, carats, yk? Because no one is perfect and you know it. But, I'm going to enjoy them while it lasts yk?

TXT - I think a lot of MOA's feel this way but the huge change of direction of music, it's too much almost. HYBE really needs to know how to change concepts smoothly so the public isn't shocked when it comes to them, especially the fans. Tbh, I really liked the emo punk they were going for but this new bad boy concept is cringy and annoying in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I love my boys all the way, they're my favourite 4th gen BG atm but yk it hurts to see the inconsistency. It's one thing to experiment with music and another to be inconsistent, they didn't have enough time in my opinion to solidify their sound and that's why it becomes worse, the songs don't sound like TXT and ever since gbgb I've become quite distant from TXT.

NMIXX - scared of the beat drops and the overall superiority complex from people that are obsessed with nmixx and with people that are obsessed on hating nmixx with all their might. Other than that, I love that a lot of people are aware of how talented nmixx is, because the music may not be to everyone's taste but we have to admit that they are really talented especially for rookies. But even that doesn't allow nswers to have such a superiority complex within the fandom, and no we are not going to win roty, I think that's pretty obvious, if it was because of talent, yh we would win but through achievements, no we aren't.

Newjeans - I mean probably obvious but it's Min Heejin and the audacity she had to debut a group filled with minors. I also hate the fact that people try to brush off the fact that they are minors because they are "talented". Don't get me wrong they are, they're your average kpop rookie girl group, and still quite talented but they're minors and talented or not, it puts them in a lot of danger. The world of K-pop is not for children unfortunately, it's very easy for them to be manipulated or exploitation.

Twice - either the fandom is toxic (small minority tho) and the fights with blinks that are completely stupid. Anyway, also ig it's how much they being overworked, I mean they are at least, the second biggest K-pop girl group internationally, but it's still hurtful to see them getting worked so much especially now that they are growing up as adults. Some people can't even accept the fact that they have grown, some people think Jeongyeon is fat on purpose, she's not even fat, that's the normal weight a human being should weigh. She's not fat. Also, JYP old use Jeongyeon as an actual lead vocalist thank you very much.

I'm sorry that the majority of these us about the fandom but I, and many others, don't know a lot about the idols themselves or how they work or what they do in general and it's none of my business anyway.

Not gonna ask about boy groups because I only know names not music, but as for girl groups - what are your 3 favorites from each generation you listen to? (if there's more you know and it's difficult to choose, you can do 5)

Ty for the ask! I'm mostly a third and fourth gen stan here are some of my favs :)) I included some of my favorite songs from the groups as well!

Third gen:

MAMAMOO: (Starry Night, Egotistic, HIP) I love Mamamoo music SO MUCH, they were one of the first kpop groups I listened to! Their vocals are so good and their style of song is right up my alley!

Dreamcatcher: (Deja Vu, BON VOYAGE, Tension) To be honest the songs I most listen to from them come from after their redebut around the start of fourth gen but yeah. I love the concept of their music. I consider Dreamcatcher and older (G)I-DLE to have similar energy! Don't know much about the group itself but I love their music!

TWICE: (CRY FOR ME, Scientist, CHEER UP) I can’t think of a single Twice title track that isn’t good. And their vocals are really strong! Their style of music isn’t what I listen to all the time but sometimes I’m really in the mood for those happy bright vibes yk?

BLACKPINK: (Typa Girl, BOOMBAYAH, Kill This Love) When it comes to girl groups I tend to gravitate more towards vocals, but I'm here for Blackpink's rap tbh. Although I do like some of their more vocal songs as well!

Additional Groups: (Psycho, Peek-A-Boo, HELICOPTER, No) I don't really have another one in this gen that I'm that into but shout out to Red Velvet and CLC too! Don't listen to as much of their music as these other groups but I like what I've heard :)

Fourth gen:

(G)I-DLE: (Lion, Oh My God, Dahlia, HWAA, HANN (Alone)) This might be the only group in this list that I'm like a full stan of. I don't listen to as much of their recent music, I'm more a fan of their stuff from 2017-2021 (this doesn't have anything to do with soojin really, but after that their concept shifted a bit lol) HOWEVER I do like their recent songs as well. I started listening to them around the same time I started listening to Mamamoo and I just love their earlier concepts and style of music!

ITZY: (WANNABE, LOCO, Boys Like You) Another group where I'm more of a fan of their earlier stuff! I listen to a good amount of Itzy, they're my go-to for dancing music. I'm a casual midzy, I like their songs and I think they're really talented!

NMIXX: (DICE, O.O, Run For Roses)This is a group where I fell in love with a couple of their songs and their overall vocals, but I don't listen to a lot of their music. Very talented though!

Additional Groups: (DUN DUN, LA DI DA, ELEVEN, LOVE DIVE) Don't have any others I feel very strongly about but shout out to Everglow and Ive! I have songs I really like from both groups but don't know much about them or listen to a lot of their stuff

One More Additional Group: (Panorama, FIESTA, Secret Story of the Swan) Giving IZ*ONE its own category even though I have around the same interest as Everglow and Ive lol. I like some of their songs as well

Fifth Gen:

I haven't gotten into a lot of fifth gen groups yet but I am staring at Kiss of Life right now. They're very talented. Also Babymonster is a very strong group but I can't say I've found a song I really liked from them yet so I'm keeping my eyes on them too 👀

I swear i will disappear for a while after this, but I cant I just cant without these specific questions :o I promise i wont bother you for a while after this but got so whipped for this imaginary idol concept including you :o if you could choose a name for your group what would that be? Also an isol stage name would be interesting :o and how would you look like as an idol if you could choose it like anything :o even a performance look is interesting for me :o Ah you are so amazing :o and dont say that you arent this bc please just look into that mirror. And tiny girls are cute but imagine u perform everyone is like ah such a cutie then they hear your rap, kind of Felix effect bc of his deep voice but everyone would be so into your lyrics that just imaging makes me wanna buy a lightstick for real now ( yes the pufferfish is back with more courage today :o i really should start reffering to myself as the pufferfish anon lol ) and your cheecks? EXCUSE ME BUT ALL I SEE IS BEAUTY. Dont say that, it hurts more bc Han Jisung with his cheecks keeps me alive so so stop. You are amazing o//o dont say bad things about yourself pls . group names are HARD but to me the best ones are short ones or ones you can shorten to initials (like bts and skz) and i hate when there’s like numbers or () or weird stuff like iz*one or (g)-idle ITS SO CONFUSING so i think a short/shortened name that’s related to flowers maybe? or something pretty like that WAIT luminois that’s it 💆‍♀️ the genius i am!! also i like my name a lot so i wouldn’t want a stage name (aurora already sounds like a stage name to me lol)

tbh i really like the way i am, but as an idol specifically i would like to be 10 cm taller and have that amazing skin that most asians have yk? i know not ALL of them have good skin since anybody can suffer from acne, but it looks like it’s in their genes to have generally good skin plus their skincare products are amazing, they take such good care of it oof i wish

even with 10 cm more i’d still be on the shorter side so i think the felix effect (can i call it the felix effect? i think it fits) would still stand and i would LOVE it, one of my favorite things is positively suprising people 🙈 and thank you so much for the compliments love 🥺 you’re the sweetest and the same goes for you!! say one bad thing about yourself and it’s on sight i won’t hesitate ily

Favourite colour of mine is black, because I'm emo. Also black goes with everything outfit wise? My second favourite colour us blue, like a deep blue, i feel as though i feel a lot through that colour if that licks sense. Sadness and comfort, it makes me feel calmer too. Deep neon blue lights in the dark are *chef kiss*

My favourite girl group is Iz*one (I do love blackpink, itzy and IVE too though <3). I feel like the group had so much chemistry, it didn't feel fake either. They were incredibly funny together and there wasn't a member i disliked, every single one of them could make me laugh or smile. Iz*one best girls <33 i was heartbroken when they disbanded, however i truly do hope they are happy doing the activities they're now doing, for the ones that have re-debuted, they seem really happy, especially my baby yena🥺. I really hope that like rumours say, Chaewon and Sakura will debut together in a new gg, I've missed chaewon. To add on top of everything they were all incredibly talented, Yena's rapping I'm obsessed, Nako and Hitomi's vocals were beyond amazing and all their synchronisation with the dance- like weren't they the most in sync group to date? Saw that somewhere I'm pretty sure. The fandom (Wi*zone) felt extremely close, like man we were fighting for them to stay together, that the contract wouldn't end- it was a sentimental moment. Yeah idk, i just love this group so much. The fact they still see one another (pretty frequently too), shows that there was something genuine there.

Blackpink, my second all time favourite girl group. They give me so much nostalgia, they were the first kpop group i ever stanned, the reason i ultimately ended up finding skz and iz*one- so I'm grateful for that. There's not a song of theirs I'd say is bad, i do wish they had more comebacks ngl. I think they are incredibly talented too, lisa's dancing is top tier, Rosé's live vocals and guitar playing makes me feel soft and happy. Their blackpink house videos, although some of it felt artificial? Still made me love them more, i still feel like they all have a really good friendship. There's something about them, i can't describe, they just feel like an old home? If that makes sense? A place you used to love going to and you return there occasionally and just feel the feels yk?

Itzy were the second girl group i stanned, was honestly stunned by Yeji, her stage presence is quite something else. Then i fell for Ryujin the minute i saw her, so that was pretty much it. Itzy in my opinion, has the best stage presence out of all girl groups I've seen. Chaeryeong's personality, she has me crying sometimes man, one of the most genuine idols out there? And also one of the most lovely idols out there. She feels like a friend. I don't understand how anyone hates on her. Yuna, savage, i love her sense of humour. Lia, she's so precious. Back to ryujin, unapologetic, if she thinks a girl is cute or hot she will outright say it- throw back to when she said she only went for jyp audition because she thought the manager woman was cute so she let her have her phone number 😭 i feel like they are very close, and you can actually see that. Their MAMA 2021 performance was just wow.

IVE, the most recent group I've stanned, containing two ex Iz*one members, Yujin and Wonyoung. I obviously love those two, however the other members have made the group special too. At the moment my bias is Rei, her rapping is amazing, I genuinely hope Starship Entertainment will include her lyrics in future songs- her rap flow just seems so good??? Liz, when i think of her, i see her smiling, she's like the living version of seretonin, she makes me smile. Their debut song and B side? Were really good too. They haven't been together long, but I hope that they continue to have the same lovely vibe about them. I really hope they can stay authentic, especially Rei and Liz, they both give me the most genuine vibes and yeah i love them.

That was some real randomness kind of bunched up into sentences- anyhow. I could literally talk about my favourite groups for hours on end, honestly. Also i know i have repeatedly said they seem genuinely close, however, there are many many groups that look like they are just acquaintances or just there yk?
