Woe! More Hermit/Life Omori AU be upon ye!

Anyways, yeah!

Cleo replaces Medusa, Scott replaces Molly, and Pearl (or, at least, an imitation of her) replaces Marina! Pearl accidentally fell off an edge in the Deeper Well while looking for specimen to experiment on, and she landed in Black Space, though a version of her still must be in Headspace.

Martyn technically replaces Pluto in this au, but he used to be a scientist with the rest of them (focusing on astronomy) until one of Cleo's sons decided to leave and he decided to go with because he wanted to. After becoming a right hand man, he decided to visit home and his family, as pictured here.

BigB replaces Humphrey, and instead of the gang being ingested, it's just BigB's base in Secret Life. BigB is a little Eldritch, him being the base and all (really, his personage is likely a manifestation created after the base was spawned, but that's besides the point), but he offers his Backrooms base to the Slime Siblings in exchange for offerings, as a true Eldritch being would do. Does he still eat them? No, probably not, but he can throw people into the hole™. Does it kill them? Who knows? The Slime Siblings sure don't!

Finally, Gem as Experiment 667. I just think it's silly like that.

Random rant. Can people stop forgetting that being bullied for 4 years, even if on and off, can affect a person even when they think they deserve it?

“You could easily stop it” Except… you can’t. Any form of resistance is looked down upon, and laughed at by the bullies. It takes more than just you standing up for yourself to stop bullying. This comes true especially when being bullied by a group. Even if you were friends with one person in the group, how close you were with said person in the group before all that doesn’t matter as much, when their empathy for you is replaced by the need to appease their other friends as well as the need to “fit in”.

You know what, I think I'll just come forward and say this - I don't see "Sunny accidentally killed his sister because he was stressed out!" as a solid explanation, let alone a valid excuse. And I don't see it as that because the story never gave me a reason to.

We're never shown the full extent of how strenuous practice was for Sunny. We never get to see the actual process of how his and Mari's relationship deteriorated as he grew exhausted (both physically and mentally) and Mari became more and more demanding of him. The game mentions Sunny viewing violin practice as a "nuisance" in one of Lost Library's books before making a huge leap to "HIS FINGERS WERE SHAKING IN PAIN MARI WAS YELLING AT HIM HE HATED EVERYTHING!!!!" at the very end of the game and I just can't take it seriously.

This is shit writing, plain and simple. The audience shouldn't be made to fill in crucial context for the story's pivotal plot twist themselves. I shouldn't be forced to do the writer's job for them.
