#yes the baby is akari
Text
AU where Ingo lands in Hisui, but his memories remain intact. He's still found by the Pearl Clan, and it takes him a while to realize hey wait this isn't just some isolated clan in the middle of nowhere, this is like. The Past.
Anyways, having his memories, Ingo actually... finds himself butting heads with a lot of people in the clan, even if he's doing his best to be perfectly polite. Their superstitions lead to unhealthy practices and it's driving him insane. Where's the safety checks?!
It actually comes to a head when Ingo sees firsthand how people treat twins. Him being an identical twin suddenly feels very fucking unsafe in this settlement when he hears them talking about taking the firstborn twin and literally murdering them. They're NOT a Zorua! Holy shit, Zoroark illusions can't trick you into feeling like you gave BIRTH, what sort of ridiculous thought process is this?!
Ingo takes the baby and runs.
Doesn't end up getting very far. Nobody follows, of course, like, they're gonna die out there anyways, no point to caring. Meanwhile Ingo ends up right in the middle of Zoroark territory and he's just. Not really afraid of these guys?
"Terribly sorry for invading your territory, but could you direct me to where I may go so me and my passenger can rest our cab for the time being?"
The Zoroark are like. Hey this guy is weirdly nice. Also he's got like a literal baby, they're not MONSTERS. Hmmm sure follow us pal.
Ingo and his new baby gets adopted by a Zoroark pack.

I'm sorry but that's hilarious. Ingo and Dawn return from the fucking past being like "wow. That was one hell of a thing that happened but at least now we're back and even if its gonna be hard to adapt to, we'll ultimately be returning to a rather peaceful and calm time" and then it turns out that there's not just also supervillain with plans to fuck up the whole world stuff going on. No. It also somehow still involves them very much despite them not having personally present at all.
Actually its even more personal somehow because this stuff involves Ingo a lot more directly!
It's like when you've had one hell of an experience and you go to tell a friend and somehow they've had a day just as weird as you. Just that... Yknow... A lot more stakes and emotions in this au than in my example.
They actually think they're going to have time to relax and get used to the present again as they seek out answers to their lost pasts!! Ah. How cute. How naive. On the other hand, how could they have possibly known what was happening in their absence? All they really remembered about the future was that it was much more peaceful than Hisui! Also like, 89% less wild Pokemon attacks.
At least they get to skip the whole 'seeking out answers to their lost pasts' thing? On the other hand, now they have to deal with clones and evil teams and world ending stakes AGAIN, and they JUST got home. Can't you give a faller a break? No? No. Ugh fine.

Random thought!
But just imagine 35 years old CEO Gojo Satoru falling in love with the young woman whom he hired to be his surrogate.
Desperate at this point to fulfill his role as CEO and the heir of his family clan, he knew he had no other choice but to find someone who would be willing to give birth to his child.
He thought his ex-wife was the one. After all, she was pregnant when they were still together. When the due date came around and Satoru heard that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, he was over the moon until he saw the baby for himself.
He knew that that wasn't his baby. Blonde hair and green eyes? No one in his family had blonde hair and green eyes. So he asked for a DNA test. His ex-wife refused at first, but then she gave in, and when the test came back, the baby was 99.99%, not his child.
He was broken. He served her divorce papers the following day, and after everything he had done for her, this is how she chose to repay him. As if cheating wasn't enough, she had to get pregnant and gave birth to another man’s child.
So now here he is sitting in a cafe waiting for the surrogate.
...
You didn't have much of a choice. 26 years of age and still struggling to get your bachelor's degree just so that you could live a comfortable life and be financially stable.
But with the way things are right now, you knew that it was an impossible task to complete your final year. You could hardly manage to pay your school fee. You kept on getting rejection letters from student loans, and let's face it, you barely had time to study to even try to get a scholarship.
So now you're stuck looking for a quick and easy way to make money. You had little options, and prostitution just so happened to be one of them. And you almost turned to it, that's until you heard that a "rich" CEO was looking for a woman who was willing to give birth to his heir.
So now that's how you ended up in the situation to you're in currently. Nervously playing with your fingers as sat across from no other than Gojo Satoru.
"Your name is Y/N?"
"Yes, and you're Mr. Gojo Satoru."
He shook his head yes while taking a sip of his coffee. "I hope you don't mind meeting like this. I thought it would be better to meet in a more casual setting instead of my office. I don't want to intimidate you."
"That's fine, Mr. Gojo."
"Before we get started, are you sure you want to do this? I want you to be absolutely sure because once you sign the contract, there is no backing out of it."
You shook your head yes before responding, "it's something that I've thought about deeply, Mr. Gojo, and after reading through the contract a few times, I came to the conclusion that I would rather have a baby for a stranger who is willing pay to me more than what my school fee is worth than go and become a prostitute."
He was shocked by your words but said nothing of it. It wasn't his place to say anything or have any comment about your personal life.
"Well then, I guess we can go ahead and meet with our lawyers and sign the contract."
"Lawyers? I thought... I can't afford a lawyer right now," you said to him.
He chuckled, "I figured that that would be the case. No worries, I had already hired a lawyer for you."
"You did?" You asked. Just then, the door to the cafe burst opened, and in came a man and a woman dressed in suits.
"Ah, there they are. Right on time."
Gojo stood up and greeted the lawyers before he introduced you to them. The man, Mr. Nanami Kento is his lawyer, and the woman Tetsu Akari is your lawyer. First impression she has a kind and calm aura around her.
But let's move down the line.
You four all sat and discussed what was on the contract, and before you signed it, Gojo asked, "Is there anything that you need to clarify before signing the contract."
"Yes, uhm, it's about the procedure. Are we going to uhm... have... uhm intercourse to conceive the baby?"
"We could since it's the safe way to go about this, but no," he answered with a small smile on his face.
"Ok then, where do I sign."
This is the beginning of how Gojo Satoru fell in love with the woman he hired to be his surrogate.

a note: this is a repost with an angstier ending, as a lot of angst was voted for (see poll), so here we are, though there is a happy ending. dunno if I'll ever do a part 4.
please reblog and like, it means a lot! let me know what you think!
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚*:・゚✧
You and Gojo have a routine.
First, you get ready together, fucking in the shower, trying to push him off as you apply mascara as he greedily rubs up against you. You eat breakfast together, both enjoying your matcha (yours, of course, being a latte. Gojo always goes the more traditional route). He drags on the kiss as you exit your apartment, whining when he finally has to let you go.
Second, he stands a few feet away from you on the train as you make your way outside of Tokyo. He never looks at you, his focus on anyone or anything that catches his eye. You watch him, admiring him, wanting him to just look over so he could admire you too. You want Gojo to see you in the way you see him. You want him to finally care, to beg and plead for you, to feel the way you do. You want him to love you.
Third, you walk towards campus, a few feet behind him just in case anyone is watching. You watch as he effortlessly joins Shoko and Akari’s conversation as they walk up the stairs through the tori gate, not glancing back at you even once. You follow behind them, the sounds of their laughter filling your ears. Surrounding you. Swallowing you whole, only to spit you out broken and battered. The snow crunches under your feet, silencing your thoughts — but only for a second. Your thoughts are like wolves, stalking you and waiting to pounce, waiting for you to be vulnerable.
Your routine takes hold of you, and the days blend together as you relive the same painful day over and over. Maybe this is all a punishment for your hubris, karma from the gods for loving him. You watch him live so effortlessly without you, as you sit around hoping he’ll meet your gaze for just a second. The thoughts come, as they always do, and soon you’re surrounded by wolves, bloodied and battered and waiting to be eaten. And then, the wolves disappear into smoke, and you have Gojo for just a brief second before he pushes you back into the wolf’s den. Maybe this time you’ll let the wolves eat you. Your last words would be Gojo’s name before your mouth fills with blood as you get your throat ripped out. You wonder if you would even be on his mind after.
You’re snapped out of your thoughts when you feel a tap on your shoulder. You look up from your desk to see Nobara standing there, smiling, her books in her arms. You zoned out through the entire lesson, students trying to pile out the door behind her. You look at her again and smile. “Yes?”
She smiles, clutching her books a little tighter. “Are you going to the festival tonight?”
Your eyebrows furrow slightly at the mention of the festival. “Yes, I am. Why?”
Nobara shifts on her feet. “Are you going with Gojo-sensei?”
Gods, even his name causes goosebumps to appear on your body. “No, Kugisaki-san. I’m not taking anyone with me.”
Nobara pouts a little. “Oh come on! You guys would be perfect together!” Your eye twitches and your stomach lurches. “It’s his loss, I guess.” She moves away as quickly as she appears, following Megumi out the classroom door.
You hear a snarl, and just like that the wolves are back. They follow you around as you make your way through your day, biting at your ankles. They follow you as you make your way off campus, heading to the train station. You slide your way into the crowd making its way into the station, pushing your way past students and businessmen. You’re trying to make your train, yes, but you’re also escaping the wolves that are chasing you, foaming at the mouth at the idea of tasting you. You fear that if they catch you you might never make it out alive, your body left cold on the floor of the train station, people stepping over you and moving on with their lives, because, in the end, you didn’t matter.
“Excuse me,” You say softly, pushing past a tall man. Your fingers brush over the light tan colouring of his suit as you put your hand on his arm to steady yourself in the crowd. The man mumbles something before he looks over and tilts his head. He says your name so softly you almost don’t hear him. You finally get a look at his face as he towers over you, and your heart beats a little faster. “Nanami?”
You’ve met Kento Nanami before and spoken in brief conversations, even when he’s been an adjunct professor at the school and taught a lesson. You always noticed that he didn’t speak a lot, at least not to you. You appreciated the silence sometimes, a stark difference from Gojo’s constant running mouth, but the times he would simply just ignore you while you helped him plan lessons and prepare demonstrations left a bad feeling in your stomach. In those moments you didn’t just wonder if you were good enough for Gojo, you wondered if you were good enough for anyone.
He looks deep into your eyes, and the wolves turn to dust. He smiles softly at you, but in your eyes, it looks almost forced. “Hey there. Long time no see. How are you?”
You think this might be the most words he’s ever spoken to you. “I’m doing great. How are you?”
Nanami nods. “Fine, you know how the 7 to 3 life is. Are you still assisting Gojo at the school?”
It’s your turn to nod this time. “Yes. For another year and a half.”
He smiles, and it seems more genuine than the last. “A year and a half of dealing with Gojo… I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.” You laugh, and it’s the first genuine laugh you’ve had in almost a month.
Instead of catching your usual train home, you opt to sit and chat with Nanami. This is the most extroverted you’ve ever seen him, and this is definitely the most eye contact you’ve ever shared. He leans back on the bench, legs stretched out straight, playing with the end of his tie while he talks to you.
You had noticed it before, but now you’re certain. Kento Nanami is hot. His voice, his face, his hands, his arms…you’re finding yourself squirming on the bench and trying to calm your nerves as he stares at you, almost forcing you to keep eye contact.
You stiffen when you hear the next announcement, the realisation hitting that it’s your next train arriving soon. You stand up, gathering your things. “My train is almost here. I’m sorry that we have to cut this conversation short.”
He waves it off. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll just have more to talk about next time.”
Next time. You feel slight butterflies in your stomach when thinking about your next conversation with him. All you manage to say is, “For sure. I would like that.” You head to your platform, clutching your bag close when Nanami calls your name again, much more confident than before. You turn to face him, the wind from the train approaching whipping through your hair.
He glances down the platform, seemingly nervous. “Are you going to the festival tonight?”
You have to speak a little louder as the train starts to near the station. “Yes, I am.”
Nanami smiles, a look of nervousness still staining his face. “Great. I’m going too. What if we went together?”
The train approaches and you yell over the noise, “I would like that!”
He hears you and smiles, yelling his goodbyes over the train as you enter its doors. You find a seat next to the window, and you wave to each other as the train starts to move. The train pulls out of the station, taking you home, and a smile creeps onto your face as you sink into the seat. Part of you feels guilty, begging you to consider your relationship with Gojo, but the other part of you thinks; what relationship? Plus, you’re going to the festival with Nanami as friends, acquaintances, nothing more. At least, that’s how you view it.
You head home, once again finding yourself vulnerable in the wolf's den. You wonder how it would feel if you let them attack you, how it would feel to be pinned down and scratched and chewed on like a piece of dried octopus. Would Gojo notice you, finally, as you lay dead, your blood leaking out of your shredded throat? Would he turn away, avert his gaze at the sight of his dead lover? Or would he simply stare before stepping over you?
The wolves stalk you as you make your way back to the station, the snow falling softly, sticking to your hair. You feel nervous; nervous about seeing Nanami again, and nervous about seeing Gojo with Himiko. You had almost forgotten her name, but deep down you wish you did. Maybe thinking about her as a faceless, nameless entity would make your throat stop closing up.
You climb your way up the steps of the school, and you start to smile when you see Nanami waiting for you. The sun is setting, casting a beautiful pink glow to him, and in this moment you think he’s the most handsome man you’ve ever seen. The glasses he’s normally wearing are long gone, and he switched out his suit for a black sweater, dark blue slacks, a long brown trenchcoat, and a scarf in the same Rorschach-esque design as his usual tie and sword.
Your stomach flutters as you approach him. “Hey.”
He stares at you for a second before saying, “Hey.” You stare at each other, admiring one another, and butterflies in your stomach won’t stop flying around, bumping into the walls of your intestines. You don’t know what you’re feeling, and you don’t know if you like it.
You clear your throat, stepping towards the gate. “Let’s head in.” Nanami nods and follows you inside the campus. You walk together through the festival, the air around you almost feeling electric, the campus replacing its usual student occupants with a bustling crowd and food carts. Takoyaki, yakitori, yakisoba, everything just smells so delicious. Maybe the wolves won’t be hungry for you tonight.
You and Nanami wander, your hands occasionally brushing as you chat about work and life, lost in the heat of your conversation. You find a stall finally offering drinks, and you both purchase some green tea before sitting down, your back to the festival. You’re in the middle of one of Nanami’s corporate world stories when his eyes drift behind you and he smiles. “There he is!”
Confused, you look over your shoulder, only to be met with the looming figure of Gojo. He stares down at you and Nanami, his blindfold covering his eyes. Right next to him is, you assume, Himiko, a tall woman, dressed to the nines in what might be real fox fur. She’s beautiful. More beautiful than you. You hear another snarl as the wolves come creeping out of the dark classrooms, towards you. Was this your competition? Your replacement? Did she have his heart already, or did he hide it from her like he did you?
Gojo clears his throat, glancing away before turning his gaze back to you and Nanami. “Here I am.”
Even now, you admire him. He’s so effortlessly beautiful, everything he does causes you to lose your breath. The way the wind pushes his hair back, the way his hoodie sits around his hips…you’re in love with him. As much as you hate it, as much as it destroys you, you love him. You can practically feel the wolf pinning you to the cave floor and ripping your beating heart out of your chest, chewing it, and swallowing it in one bite.
Nanami notices your gaze, too. He notices the way you look at Gojo, the absolute adoration in your eyes. The way your breath hitches, the way your thighs subconsciously squeeze together. The way your cheeks change colour and the way your whole body relaxes. Nanami notices Gojo’s body language, too, almost as if he could see his eyes under the blindfold. He puts it together too quickly, and clears his throat, standing up from the table, trying to hide his disappointment that you were in love with someone else. “I’m gonna get another tea.” He moves through the crowd towards the stall and you go to follow him, brushing past Gojo when he suddenly reaches out and grabs your arm, squeezing it tight.
“We need to talk,” he says.
“No, we don’t,” you respond. He squeezes your arm even tighter, before tugging you along behind him as he walks away from Nanami and Himiko.
Gojo drags you into his classroom, closing and locking the door behind him. He stares at you, his arms crossed, before finally speaking, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
You’re confused, and your eyebrows furrow slightly. “Trying to enjoy my time at the festival.”
Gojo’s voice is laced with poisonous anger, and you’re almost afraid to breathe it in. “With Nanami?”
You swallow. “He asked me to come with him.”
Gojo's shoulders relax for a second before tensing up again. “You’re on a date? With Nanami?”
Your face turns red. “This isn’t a date.”
“Yes, it is,” Gojo says firmly. “He asked you on a date. And you agreed.”
You find yourself starting to get angry. “So what if it is a date?”
His jaw clenches. “Excuse me?”
You take a step back. “So what if it is a date, Gojo? You’re on one too, in case you forgot.”
Gojo laughs. “You mean Himiko? This isn’t a date. I’m just doing a favour for Shoko, I’m trying to help her friend get settled into the city. You shouldn’t be mad at me for --”
You interrupt him. “Cut the shit. You’re on a date with a girl who isn’t me.”
“It isn’t a date,” Gojo says.
You feel yourself getting angrier and angrier. “That’s what it looks like.”
“It doesn’t matter what it looks like,” Gojo says. “It isn’t the truth. If you would just let me explain-”
“Explain what?” You snap, the anger threatening to break the surface. “How do you agree to go on a date with another woman?”
There’s a pause before he says, “Don’t interrupt me again, doll. Remember who’s in charge here.”
Your fists clench. “God, can I fucking talk? Sat—Gojo, you have to understand how it makes me feel.”
You fucked up. You know you shouldn’t call him that, that forbidden name, but it just slipped out. Your words die in your throat, and your anger starts to dissolve into anxiety. You don’t know much about Geto, but you do know that Gojo’s first name is reserved for him, and you broke Gojo’s only rule.
He doesn’t say anything, but you can physically feel the shift in the air. A cold shiver runs down your spine. The mask across his eyes doesn’t help, his emotions unreadable.
“Gojo, I’m sorry,” You say. You approach him gently. “I’m sorry.”
You feel yourself getting more and more anxious as he just stands there. He doesn’t move, he doesn’t speak. He just stands there, looking down at you from his imposing height. You can only sit helplessly as he tosses you back into the wolf's den, and you can’t run away as they start tearing at you. You wonder if he’ll keep your head, mouth open and cold and blue, on display on a mantle on his wall, a message to all that watch to never love him.
It feels like an eternity before he speaks. “I trusted you."
Your bottom lip trembles. "You still can. It was an accident--"
"It doesn't matter if it was an accident or not," Gojo says, looking down at the ground. "You know not to call me that. Don't act like you can replace him."
A few tears fall down your face. "No...I know I can't, Gojo, I know I can't replace him. But I swear it was an accident."
"It doesn't matter," Gojo says after a beat. "What matters is you’re mine, and you're on a date with Nanami."
"It's not a date, Gojo," You say. "He and I are just friends."
"You would only be here with him if you had feelings for him," Gojo says.
You start to cry now. "I have feelings for you, Gojo. Not Nanami."
That makes him pause. "I know you do."
"Then why are you here with Himiko?" You ask, starting to feel angry again. "Why aren't you here with me?"
“Himiko means nothing to me.” Gojo says. "You know we couldn't go to the festival together. It would be suspi--"
"Suspicious, yes, I got it." You snap. "You didn't have to go with her. You could've turned down Shoko's offer."
"And what would I look like then?" Gojo asks. "I would look like a bad friend and a bad coworker. I have a reputation to uphold."
"Why does your reputation matter more than me?" You ask, your voice becoming louder.
"Because it's all I have!" Gojo says, his voice matching yours. "I'm Satoru Gojo, I'm the strongest! I can't have any baggage, I can't have anyone be important to me. That's how I become weak, and that's how I lose everything. Including you."
"Why do you treat me like this?” you ask, angry tears running down your cheeks. “Why do you always put me second? Why do you always make me feel so unwanted? Am I not good enough for you? Am I not what you want? Am I not what you need?”
He pauses and remains silent for a long time. He takes a deep breath, his voice stern once again. “Don’t talk about yourself like that. You are good enough for me, you’re too good for me. You’re the most beautiful, caring person that I’ve ever met. I treat you like garbage, and yet you always come back to me. I’m mean to you, and you accept it with a smile on your face. But you have to understand that this is more important to me. It's more important than you…if I appear weak, I fail. If I fail, I lose everything and everyone." He gets close to you, grabbing your face. "I already lost someone important to me. I can't lose you too."
"Do you care about me?" You ask softly.
He nods. "Of course I do."
You swallow hard, nervous to ask your next question. "Do you love me?"
He hesitates.
In that moment, even without him speaking, you know your answer. You go to say something else but he interrupts. "I can. Eventually. One day. I just can't love you right now."
"When is eventually?" You ask.
He shakes his head. "I don't know. I care about you, you know that. You know that I love our time together, and I look forward to every single second I get to spend with you. I just can't love you right now, not in the way that you want me to. The way that you need me to."
"Will you ever love me?" You ask.
He doesn't hesitate when he answers, "Yes."
You close your eyes, sighing. "When?"
He strokes your cheekbones. "Soon."
"How close is soon?"
"Close enough."
You pause. You feel the presence of the wolves again, biting on your ankles, threatening to drag you down into the depths of the den and tear you limb from limb. Would they chew on your bones after? Would it be quick, painless? Or would you survive for just long enough to watch them eat you?
Gojo calms the wolves, but only for so long. He’s a protective light as you hide in the walls of the den, stepping over the corpses of those before you. He’s the one, he’s all you’ve ever wanted, and you think you’ll regret this.
You nod, accepting his answer.
He pulls you close and hugs you. He kisses the top of your head and takes a deep breath before saying, “Have I ever told you about Geto?” You shake your head, you know next to nothing about the man. Gojo never told you, and you never asked. He strokes your hair and sighs. “Do you want to hear about him?”
You nod, and Gojo tells you.
He tells you all about Geto — Suguru, as he calls him. You’ve never heard him speak so softly. He recounts his memories, smiling and even laughing at some parts. You listen to every word, and you don’t speak. You can tell, just from his words, that Gojo loved him, but you can also tell that he will always love Geto more than he loves you.

So with little Akari being a cyndaquil aspect and Ingo being a Chandelure and as you’ve already mention this by extension makes Ingo naturally have the instinct to carry baby and Akari being instinctually predisposed to being carried cause she’s baby. Are there any other instinctual carry overs that are cute? Like Ingo adopts Akari right? So like what other cute stuff does that lead to?
Tumblr media
Yes! I like to think Chandelure's will add more wax and reshape litwicks!
Tumblr media
Ingo does this too! Especially when very tired. Sees messy hair or dirt? Must squish back into place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's vaguly like grooming fur like Typlosions will to to their pups so Akari finds it relaxing even if the results are kinda unpleasant.
Tumblr media
Akari is not his only victim.

Emmet breaks spacetime to find his brother this, Emmet goes feral without his brother that (which you shouldn't take too far btw), where are the Ingo goes apeshit fics. Where are the fics where Ingo single handedly corrals the gods into getting him (and Akari, if she's tired of being in charge after having to save the world) home. This man is depressed one day about his memories and then his unovan religion socialization kicks in subconsciously and he goes 'no fuck this. I am going to get my memories back whether they comply or not' and that escalates into 'i am going home no matter what' and also 'i am going to be happy. I will make it so'. This man didn't get raised with the values of TRUTH and IDEALS for nothing. That shit sticks in your mind so much even if you don't personally think about it much. Have you seen how many times unovans mention truth or ideals in the games. They're important to them. And they're important to him.
I don't even mean that Ingo becomes a villain or anything. I just mean to say he sees a child befriending gods and goes 'hey what the fuck. If they can do that i can do something about my own situation as well for sure' and don't try to tell me the gods wouldn't listen to him. First off i believe Arceus and everyone else do love their creation, they just sometimes don't understand it. Second of all even if that wasn't true not all the gods agree with each other. If Arceus couldn't or didn't want to do anything he could just ask giratina. Or dialga and palkia. How would palkia help? They bring him to celebi. There's no way he wouldn't get celebis approval especially with palkias help.
What? The Pearl clan wouldn't let him go? Lmao what are you even talking about. Even if they didn't want him to leave the position of warden they value space very much. They'd want him to find his own before all else, and even if they didn't Irida would and her judgement is the most important one in the clan. I'm pretty sure she mentions wanting to travel, too, so she might join Ingo for a time as well.
Something is wrong in Unova upon his arrival? Impossible. Unova loves their Subway bosses and Emmet loves and trusts Ingo enough for that not to be a problem. Even if he didn't Chandelure would be proof enough of something off. i don't think she would just feel her trainer's soul disappear in a split second and not cause a commotion, she'd immediatly begin to freak out. Even without that you know what always fixes shit? Communication baby. This man will not let something go until they've properly discussed it. If the other's opinion is still the same after they've all explained themselves, then fine. But i guarantee you it won't be. If communication is difficult for some reason there is nothing that stops him from making it easier or doing it anyway. He can also go to a god again and have them help out of it's something he can't do anything about himself. Grudge? Gone. Death? Xerneas'd. Legal trouble? Over.
There is nothing that can't be fixed, especially in the pokemon world. It's going to be exausting, and probably very taxing on the mind, but it would be worth it so much. And there is no way Ingo and Emmet aren't both going to go to therapy anyway in the end.
Even if the gods couldn't fix it and send him home, they'd at least grant them both peace of mind. A letter, a picture, sent back or forward in time. With proof that it's real, obviously, and that yes it is god that brought this to you, so there's no misunderstandings. And don't tell me they can't do that, you've seen the arc phone. A space time distortion, conveniently timed on both sides, courtesy of dialga and palkia. They're going to get to be happy eventually, whether that means moving on or being reunited. Though there's like no way they don't get reunited lol

So I was bored and ended up doing an AC run of the Hunger Games simulator. This was... rough. :/
Alright, so. Let's go. Here are the tributes. Yes, I decided to use Akari instead of Kaede. And threw in Irina there just for, uh, fun?
Tumblr media
The start is not too violent, except for Kanzaki and Yada… wow, girls. They're not holding back. Poor Koyama, he didn't get far.
Shuu gets a spear, Irina a shield, Rio a pair of sais, Sugino throwing knives and Itona a bow. (The last is oddly fitting for a ficlet in my mind where Itona is an archer, just saying)
I really don't understand how Karma did not get that bag from Maehara, though. >_>
Hayami remains calm, as always.
Tumblr media
Day 1 Shuu, my boy, are you faring ok? It's definitely not like you to try to sleep through a whole day. Other than that, there are some sprained ankles, some stealing, some hunting for other tributes (Isogai and Kataoka, wtf???)
And then… Kurahashi strangles Irina.
Okay then. Well. She does have a crush on Karasuma, and Irina's her main competition, so. I guess I kinda get it?
Tumblr media
2 cannon shots can be heard in the distance: Koyama & Irina.
Night 1 is quite non-violent. We have some Shuu & Chiba bonding.
Itona has left the gang and joined another group, and Karma and Ren have joined Terasaka, Isogai and Kataoka. Interesting group.
Poor Maehara! He started strong, getting a bag from Karma, but since then he's just been thinking about home, and now he passes out from exhaustion. Same with Rio. :/ And Sugino, poor baby…
And Yada, begging for Hazama to kill her... is she feeling guilty after killing Koyama? :/
Tumblr media
Day 2
Kataoka dies of hunger?! She must have been severly malnourished to begin with, you don't die of hunger in a couple of days :/
This is why she was fighting Kanzaki for that basket of bread! Oh, Kanzaki… this death's on you. :/
Luckily that was the only death, though. Poor Rio gets injured…
Nagisa is stalking Akari… heh.
Shuu has his camp raided.
Tumblr media
Oh, and then we have a volcano erupting. Nice. And Nagisa dips his….
….
…….
………. Nagisa dips his weapon in the lava and kills Karma with it?!?! Dear lord in—
And Shuu suffocates! ;_; Ohhhh… Ren suffocates too. Are they together? T_T
Dear god these kids! What came over you! Terasaka, Isogai, Kanzaki, Hayami and Fuwa push, respectively, Chiba, Araki, Itona, Kurahashi and Sugino into the lava. What the hell. And poor Okano is buried in ash…
This. Was rough. That's all I'm saying.
Tumblr media
Lots of cannon shots happening after that (11) >_>
Night 2 (this is only night 2 and we've lost so many people!) is calmer. (Ugh, anythign is calmer than what just happened!) Okuda and Akari track down and kill Maehara, and Terasaka dies of hunger. Many people have sponsors…
Tumblr media
The Feast Hazama kills Nagisa. :/ Well, somehow, her shooting a poisonous blow dart feels kinda fitting. And Rio kills Akari…
Tumblr media
Day 3 Rio's on a roll. Now she kills Hayami.
Tumblr media
Night 3 is a quiet night, followed by a quiet day. Poor kids, sleeping without warmth, crying themselves to sleep… And Kanzaki has an infection. Nothing much happens in day 4.
Tumblr media
Night 4… Rio dies from thirst (even tho couple of nights ago she received clean water from a sponsor?) and Hazama kills Fuwa.
Day 5, Isogai strangles Okuda. Is that his first kill? I think so. He got so far without killing anyone, and now he caved in and did it. :/ (ETA: Oh, it wasn't his first kill, he already pushed Araki into the lava.) And he and Okuda were working together on previous days, basically through the whole thing! And on day 4 Okuda was tending his wounds. Damn this is sad…. He cried himself to sleep the previous night. That's when he broke. :/ (ETA2: That's when he realized that Okuda had killed Maehara!)
Night 5, we have three people left: Isogai, Kanzaki and Hazama. And… they must have kinda lost track of things, as for some reason they're sleeping shifts? 😅
Tumblr media
And then, finally… Isogai kills Hazama, Kanzaki eats toxic berries (damn she got so far, and then she dies like that?), and Isogai wins.
But at what cost...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would not have been able to predict this result. Isogai wins, with three kills, and Karma killed no one. Nagisa was brutal. (Well, that was perhaps the least surprising thing...)

I was thinking along the lines of Ingo introducing Akari to other clan members as “a gift from Almighty Sinnoh” and everyone thinking he’s just being sweet about his daughter and nodding along but... You bring up a point about Akari being unnerving and.
I think everyone would absolutely take him literally. And have no idea how to react to this information.
Ingo’s like, making baby kissy noises at Akari and playing with her little feet as she giggles and the Pearl Clan is like. That Child Is From Almighty Sinnoh, And He’s Making Kissy Noises At It. What The Fuck.
Kids are like so where do babies come from? And without hesitation, Ingo’s like “Well, I think mine just popped into existence at the Temple of Sinnoh. I don’t remember. Maybe not. You should probably ask someone who doesn’t have amnesia.”
Akari’s like 6 years old while Irida’s 10, so logically Akari shouldn’t be so wise but she IS and it’s SO freaky. Akari meets Melli and looks deep into his eyes and is like. “Your insecurities will be your downfall if you allow this to go on. False confidence will not make up for your poor decisions. Improve yourself and walk the path towards a happier life.”
And then she looks at Ingo with puppy eyes like daddy can I go play with the Sneasels now? And Ingo, who is immune to poison and therefore has no idea how much of a Bad Idea that would be, is like yes of course sweetheart!
Melli keeps his mouth shut because he’s scared. Some Pearl Clan members come over and have a heart attack at the sight of The Child From Almighty Sinnoh playing with poisonous creatures but it turns out she inherited Ingo’s poison immunity.
(Did Arceus use Ingo’s DNA to make Akari? Yes partially. Why? The man is immune to every status condition that’s why. It’s perfect for the Future Hero of Hisui.)

Will Emmet eventually become one with the Sneasler grooming pile or does Sneasler not warm up to Emmet as much as she had with Ingo?
Sneasler is aware that Ingo likely has a family somewhere in this new world she’s now in. He’s told her before about the man he’s started to remember, another trainer who looked like himself. Part of the reason Sneasler insisted on coming with Ingo is because she has this fear, that he’s going to return to where he came from and whatever family he had either will be gone or reject him.
After her Eggs are rescued from the attempted theft and Chandelure joins the group, Sneasler is very interested in what Ingo’s first partner has to say, about where he came from and who his family is. She’s not surprised that the man who looks like him is a sibling, but to learn he’s Ingo’s twin is interesting. Most humans she’s met have all been born alone, to be born along side another must have meant they grew up close.
Chandelure tells her how Emmet had always been by Ingo’s side from the moment she had first met them. (They had been children when they found her wandering a cemetery they had been visiting. It had started to rain and Ingo was worried her flame was going to be put out.)
Emmet was the younger twin, and he had a difficult time communicating with the other humans when they were young, but Ingo had always been there for him. The two were each others best friends and favorite person. Even when they became adults they stayed close, supporting each other, working together. They both loved and took care of each others pokemon just as much as their own.
Chandelure gets very quiet before telling Sneasler about how Emmet was when Ingo vanished. How that loss had shattered his heart, how there were days, weeks, where he could barely function without the assistance of his pokemon. She was sure that without them to support him, to give him a purpose to get up in the morning, he might not have survived past the first year.
He’s doing better now, she assures, and is looking forward too meeting all of them once he and Ingo are reunited. Chandelure goes on to tell Sneasler, and the other pokemon who are still awake and listening, how they would all be welcomed to come home with Ingo to Unova. How much Emmet would love them and take such good care of them and Ingo. How her and all the other pokemon would welcome them and protect them. As the conversation carries on, with Gliscor and Dusk asking what the other pokemon are like, Sneasler decides that as much as she does not want to interact with any other humans right now, Emmet would be the one exception she would make if he finds them.
Then later, when Ingo had left with one of her babies when she had hatched too soon, she and Akari are shocked to hear over the Arc-phone that Ingo’s brother is at the poke center and requesting to see him. This situation is already so upsetting for Sneasler, but to have the stress of this on top of it is almost too much. But to then learn that this brother had accepted Ingo’s decision to hold off on seeing him until her hatchling was safe earned Emmet some respect from her.
And then when he helped Ingo and her baby safely return to her?!?
The first thing she did, when she spotted them both walking up the trail to the meeting point, was rush over to see if her baby and her Ingo were ok. The second thing she did was grin and laugh at seeing Emmet dressed in her wardens coat, delighted at the oddness of seeing someone who looks so much like her dear warden but was not him at all. When he had smiled back and so politely introduced himself, she knew she’d already opened her heart to him.
So yes! He will definitely be joining in the grooming pile. The man made a fantastic impression with her with respecting Ingo’s boundaries and then ensuring Ingo’s and Peanuts return to her. After spending time with him she can also see how much he loves his brother and his Pokémon. He’s also so kind and respectful to Akari and the Sneasler.
So it’s on the second morning since they’re arrival to Unova, when she ventured out of her nest to see what the rest of the house is up to, when she finds Emmet and Ingo in the kitchen talking over coffee. She notices Emmets hair is sticking up at odd angles and decides to fix it herself. She can hear Ingo’s laughter as Emmet sputters and tries to duck away but she easily catches him and holds him still so she can continue her work.

A concept: Jackie is the one who talks about how they never go outside, and Akari just hearing about how they have lived in these subway tunnels, and stares at Ingo/Emmet. Who INSIST they don't lock them in the tunnels.
(There is at least one time they probably Accidentally did,for all of 3 minutes, and Jackie never complained. But yes they would absolutely give their workers a living wage they are good people.)
AGFULFULFUFFLUFGIP
Jackie accidentally convincing Dawn the Ingo and Emmet are Bad Bosses is hilarious. No one's ever believed him because yeah no that just Jackie. All regular commuters know they're good bosses so even if Jackie's whole thing confuses the hell out of them, they just shrug and go on with their day. That's Nimbasa, baby!!!!!
But Dawn is just like. Betrayal! Uncles ENSLAVE JACKIE!? Oh, jail! Jail for 1000 years for Uncles!!!
Meanwhile said Agent is in the background on the ground in stitches from laughing so hard at this tiny child shaming the Big Bosses. Best thing he's seen all year!
And yes, god. They did ONE TIME lock Jackie in, but the kicker is that it was done BEFORE they became the Subway Masters. They were still just regular coworkers in a not so perfect subway station. Jackie's so quiet and the boys were so focused... Well, it was bound to happen!!!
I can't decide if it's funnier for it to have only been three minutes before they go "OH FUCK, JACKIE!!!" and rush back, or if he does actually get locked in an area overnight and they're now going to their graves with that on their conscience. He finds it utterly hilarious and doesn't hold it against them in the slightest, but does jokingly bring it up whenever it might get him an upper hand (in a friend way, not in a serious, blackmail way).
Jackie: Hey, Boss, have you had the chance to look over my vacation request?
Emmet: I am Emmet. I have but I am not sure if we can spare you-
Jackie: Hey remember that time I got locked in Tunnel B overnight? Gooooood times.
Emmet: Vacation request accepted. Get out of my office.

⌘ more than yesterday, more than today
{ a fanmix following Akane and Yamada’s whirlwind love story as they level up from strangers into something more, one song at a time }
     listen on... { Youtube }  >>  { Spotify }
-------------------------------------- just a mix of EN and JP songs that fit well lyrically, arranged in some semblance of a chronological order, as well as a few that fit the vibe well!
I managed to fit many references to events in the story, chapter titles, etc. within the various songs and section headers up until around ch71-ish. I had songs planned out for a section covering the Gunma arc around ch97, but figured it was better to shelve that idea for now until we have more content; in the meantime I hope this playlist can help tide everyone over during the wait for ch108, while the manga is on another short hiatus!
Youtube is the recommended way of listening as it contains all 44 songs in their intended versions (I had to make some cover substitutions with Spotify, but it's otherwise intact-- just not preferred!). --------------------------------------

Hello! I was wondering if ya have any surveyshipping headcanons or headcanons in general about Laventon or Cyllene?
I was curious to heard some of them if ya don’t mind!^^
I doooooooooo!!!
Some headcanons!
Cyllene’s dad and mom were farmers. She had a few siblings but due to bandits, illness, and pokemon attacks, she’s the only one left. She takes after her father in many ways (and I think her father would have looked almost exactly like Cyrus).
Her father had siblings that lived elsewhere in Hoenn but Cyllene didn’t see them much.
So by the time that she had decided to go to Hisui, she hadn’t talked to any extended family in years, and her immediate family had all died from various causes.
(Her extended family would stay in Hoenn for generations and eventually produce Steven Stone.)
All of the repeated tragedies in her life made her kind of cold on the outside, but she does care deeply about both people and pokemon under her care/protection. It is hard for her to show it and besides, it is kind of useful for when she has to be strict.
Professor Laventon’s grandparents on his mothers side came to Galar over from Poke-India as merchants. His mother was born in Galar but her siblings were born in poke-India. His father’s side had been native Galarians for generations.
He still has and respects aspects of the culture from poke-India, but he definitely thinks of himself as Galarian.
He also lost some family from illness and pokemon attacks, but most of his immediate family is still alive and doing well. He has several brothers and sisters!
(One brother’s line led to Chairman Rose and Peony. While one of the sisters led to Champion Leon and Hop.)
Laventon will adopt almost anyone that has no family on sight. (It usually ends up being kids/teenagers but he’s also been known to unofficially adopt adults and elders too. Although not as blatantly. It’s more of a he-frequently-asks-about-them-and-makes-sure-someone-checks-on-them sort of thing.
For surveyshipping:
Neither of them are great cooks. They both can do simple meals but nothing fancy. Cyllene makes a lot of money though, and so they eat out a lot.
Cyllene leads in bed most of the time, but Laventon can step up and take charge when he wants to or when she needs him to. He happy with the arrangement, but she worries that others will make fun of him over it. (He doesn’t care what they think usually, he loves his smol wife that could kill him easily both when she’s in charge and when he’s gently taking her apart).
Laventon and Cyllene do officially adopt Akari/Rei (whichever the Protagonist isn’t) once the Protagonist goes home (yes I HC that the protagonist does eventually get to go home). It’s an odd little family by most people’s definitions, but everyone is happy.
Cyllene’s Abra will obey orders from both her and the Professor, but likes to mess with the Professor. (Mostly it guilts him into feeding it extra berries/candies, but sometimes it’ll pull a prank on him, like teleporting his hat away when it’s annoyed with him) but mostly Abra is just their spoiled rotten fur baby. (Once they have a baby, the Abra evolves into a Kadabra and helps with child care. It still forgets that it’s not small anymore and will try to cuddle like it’s still an Abra)
They love each other so much! And while Cyllene never truly learns to like bug types (Wurmples in particular) the Professor does slowly work with her to make her more at ease in their presence. (She loves that he never gave up on her. And he loves that she trusted him enough to let him help her.)

pokemon legends arceus au where rei (ill be using rei just cause thats who i played as but it works with akari too) was transported back to hisui Much Younger and, seeing as how he gets along so easily with pokemon right from the start, is seen as an ominous omen for jubilife village (let alone the whole falling from the sky bit dont ask me how baby rei got outta that unscathed)
cyllene and laventon end up watching over him but theyre both super busy with their own work that he ends up getting ostracized from the village. at some point baby rei is left unsupervised and wanders away and ends up getting lost and ends up befriending a hisuian zorua
h!zorua is super confused by this child who has no issue with it and hisuian zoroark comes up for its kid and sees the strange human child with it
h!zoroark is obvs wary at first but h!zorua is pretty attached so him plus he doesnt have the same fear / malice / etc that most humans have towards not only its kind but also pokemon in general so it lets the two play
when no one comes to find rei then h!zoroark gets suspicious and lets them play, disguises themselves as a human and goes into the village, finds out that rei’s really treated like shit by all the superstitious people! it makes the decision right then and there that rei is now its kit and adopts him
yes this is all for feral rei, once hes about 15 he wears the baneful fox mask whenever hes out on his own and at one point runs into akari which is where the plot of the game would start about
all of his pokemon arent in pokeballs, theyre just ones hes befriended and earned the trust of with the exception of the starter youre given but even then he barely keeps that in its ball either

I’m an absolute sucker for feral behavior (the idea of someone instinctively going: this is my child now, is too much of a good idea), so I have a question about aspects-
Does the person’s aspect effect their behavior to a degree?
Say, someone with a fire based aspect would get instinctively jumpy around water, even if it wouldn’t effect them that much. Or something like someone with a Braixen aspect would be interested in sticks and picking out the right one/collecting them.
(Also on a slight side note I’m now thinking about Ingo having a slight brain freeze and equating Akari to a Litwick and going: ah yes, baby ghost type, must feed some souls for her to grow strong and healthy!)
The aspects do yes! Well to a certain degree, noises, growling, snareling, whistling are all parts of that and it's usually minor things and most the time people don't have any idea that they're doing it.
Tumblr media
Things Like Emmet having the absent minded urge to drown his food, he regrets it seconds right after doing so most the time.
Tumblr media
Or you get things like Gaeric burring himself in the snow and sleeping so hard and so still people have thought he died.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You also get some aspects lining up with Chandelure occasionally carrying litwick from one place to another and Cyndaquil clinging to it's parents back. This results in both Ingo and Akari not phased nor noticing just how often she gets a piggy back ride from him.
Tumblr media
Or they also deal with more significant moments such as deer in the headlights moments. where they can just freeze depending upon the aspects they have like Mai having aspects of something very deer like.
