Hi, I'm so excited to see the Homestuck and Hiveswap stuff you'll be writing! Could I request general red romance HCs for Karkat with a human darling?
I'd love to! This is my first time writing Karkat so let's see how this goes ^^
Yandere! Karkat Vantas with Human! Darling
Pairing: Matesprit ❤️
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Troll/Human pairing, Obsession, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Internal conflict, Slight stalking, Jealousy, Possessive behavior, Dubious relationship, Protective behavior mentioned, Biting, Gamzee is helping Karkat.
Karkat is another troll that would have to take time in order to fall for a human.
It's not impossible for him to love a human but it does take a while.
Karkat comes off as he typically does with people, which can give off the impression he hates you.
He's volatile, moody, and every word from his mouth seems like some sort of slight.
It's a pain to communicate with him through the chat client and in person.
Karkat really is a troll you have to get used to before you can actually befriend him.
Even when he begins to grow fond of a human he still comes off as arrogant and rude.
Then feels bad when he hurts you emotionally.
He's not really all that violent compared to most, he's mostly bark.
He's a slow burn yandere meaning it will take awhile for obsession to kick in.
Which is fine because by that time you can hear him ramble about quadrants and understand how troll relationships work.
Before you see his obsession you'll already know how Karkat acts.
Nothing much truly happens between you until you arrive on the meteor like Rose and Dave or meet him through Dream Bubbles.
When you manage to interact in person he'll become softer with you.
He's a bit defensive and crabby as usual, including towards you.
Although as he begins to develop flushed feelings for you... you'll notice he relents on being so aggressive.
At first he finds the idea of having a human in a quadrant as weird.
Even though you've listened to him explain quadrants and shipping charts he wonders if it could even work.
Flushed is the closest to human love... but what is he thinking?
Karkat would be in denial about his red feelings for you.
He'd try to ignore them when interacting with you.
Yet you'll notice he's always deep in thought with a vacant gaze in his eyes as he stares.
If anyone tries to imply he has red feelings for you he's incredibly defensive and flips out.
The last thing he needs is you hearing such a thing.
It's not too hard to tell he has a thing for you.
Sure, his private chats with you and weakness towards you could be a sign of close friendship.
But many people interpret it for what it is.
You actually don't mind Karkat too much when you become friends.
He becomes less volatile with you and tries to tone down his screaming.
He genuinely appears softer around you, like he's more willing to be gentle if it's just you around.
It would take him time to admit he has red feelings for you.
He just hates to say it but he really does love you a lot... he's probably felt for you ever since he saw you in person for the first time.
Now with you chatting and talking all the time he's bound to release his feelings of hesitancy towards telling you.
He just waits until the time is right.
Meanwhile he'll observe you from a distance when he isn't with you.
He honestly hates the idea of asking for advice on how to tell you.
Gamzee, his Moirail, is insane by this point and Karkat feels asking how to confess would end horribly.
Dave is another answer yet Karkat dreads the teasing and forward approach Dave may advise him to take.
As a result Karkat may just bite the bullet at some point and ask you.
"HEY, UM, I KNOW YOU MAY FIND THIS WEIRD... YOU TOTALLY CAN I UNDERSTAND BUT... HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF I SAID I HAD RED FEELINGS FOR YOU? WE TALKED ABOUT THIS WITH THE WHOLE QUADRANT THING. I WANT YOU AS MY MATESPRIT, THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY."
He's worried he'll come off too harsh with his voice or if you find it odd to date a troll so he just wings it in the end.
If you reject him then Karkat tries to be rational with this decision.
He says he understands and is willing to wait but he gets impatient and worried when he sees you hang out with others.
He wants to be your Matesprit badly.
He hates feeling so desperate when it comes to you.
Yet Karkat eventually forces his way into your life even if you didn't say yes.
He's no delusional, he knows what he's doing, but he can't bear the thought of you not being his red love.
If you say yes to him, either when he first asks or after his persistence, things become much easier for him.
Karkat, despite his volatile nature, seems like he'd be okay with affection.
He's able to calm his Moirail so he may be fine with being affectionate towards his Matesprit.
You are one of the only people he can properly tone down his volatile nature for.
If he ended up forcing you into his red quadrant then he'll try his best to calm and pacify you.
Karkat also seems like a troll who'd become jealous as a yandere.
He has a temper and can get overly protective/possessive about his perceived Matesprit.
Karkat is okay with both verbal and physical affection.
Although he prefers to give you physical affection.
Karkat seems like he could be a bad yandere, as in troubling to deal with.
This can be assumed by his volatile nature.
However, I feel Karkat can be okay to deal with.
He's not violent unless he has to be.
Most of the time if he's jealous he'll be moody or yell at whoever is causing hia jealousy.
He's more Chihuahua-like than anything.
Karkat may cling to you more, sometimes even in public, to show he claims you as his red love.
This would go along with the HC I have where trolls are possessive over quadrantmates.
Karkat goes from despising the idea of having a human in his quadrant to being overly defensive of his human Matesprit.
His jealousy and envy could be a bit problematic although I don't believe he'll intentionally hurt any of his friends other than something akin to a light fistfight.
I can't see him killing for you unless it's go save you.
He prefers to use words to descalate a situation due to being a leader.
Like with most yandere trolls, Karkat probably bites.
Not because he likes your pain, but because he wants to show others he takes claim to you.
He has to be careful as human skin and bodies are less durable than his own.
Karkat often wants to be vulnerable around his darling more than others.
He's vulnerable around his Matesprit and Moirail the most, although friends may also see a softer side to him.
Speaking of which, just as a little bonus, Gamzee may try to keep you and Karkat together.
Even if you aren't his Matesprit willingly.
Karkat would try to be gentle when showing affection.
Compared to his cranky personality, he's soft with holding you or kissing you.
Unless he feels your attention is being stolen from him... then his hold tightens.
If given the chance, Karkat may kidnap with help from his Moirail.
He tries not to but is he feels he has to, he will.
Karkat becomes open to exploring his human Matesprit and looks at ways you two are compatible with each other.
He's been one to closely study relationships through media.
If he finds you two are having issues in your Matespritship, he'll find ways to mediate it.
He won't be letting you go, though.
He's grown too attached to you to do that.
Overall, Karkat would be hesitant and even find the idea of a human in his quadrants repulsive.
Although with time, as he becomes friends with his darling, the idea of it will grow on him.
Karkat would not mind his darling being human once he fully falls for them.
You actually become one of the only people he can unwind around.
Karkat will soon put aside his views on human/troll pairings and indulge in his feelings within his obsession...
By the time he makes you his Matesprit, he isn't willing to let you go.
"YOU'RE MINE! YOU'RE MY MATESPRIT, WE'VE BEEN DESTINED SINCE I'VE CREATED YOUR UNIVERSE! DON'T LEAVE ME, I PROMISE I'LL BE BETTER FOR YOU AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU!"

tfw Your girlfriend's a freak but that's part of why you love her.
I swear I've drawn these two more than any other ship on my roster. Something about fucked up yanderes in love just gets to me, I guess. XD I've been dying to draw someone in that infamous pose from the animated video for Tom Cardy's "Red Flags." Originally, I was going to go with Maeron, but the mental image of Sonja (Comedy) fawning over his scary matesprit was too strong.

If the Condesce ever decided to “steal” Dualscar’s human captive matesprit, do you think he’d go after her the same way he would go after Mindfang? (Absolutely loved that mindfang and Dualscar piece you did)
The Condesce Stealing Dualscar's Matesprit
-Depends on who's a yandere and who's not in this situation honestly.
-Assuming that Dualscar is the only one who is a yandere, I think he would be willing to trade off any favor he has.
-He is completely willing to fight for you, but only if The Condesce is not willing to give you up. Luckily for you, she would probably give in after a few favors were promised, and you would be returned safely.
-If Dualscar wasn't a yandere, but The Condesce was, he would probably be willing to give you up a lot faster than she is. Even if he was willing to trade you for a few favors, he wouldn't be willing to fight a losing battle for you.
-Overall the exchange would be heartbreakingly quick, as the love of your life left you with a complete stranger for the rest of your life, without so much as a wave goodbye.
-If they're both yanderes, well, that's quite the predicament you're in. Good luck surviving.
-Dualscar would probably try to exchange favors for your safe return, but I can't see The Condesce giving up her cute little darling for a couple of measly favors.
-Even if Dualscar is willing to sacrifice all he has for you, every favor she owes him through the centuries, every treasure he has, even the entire rest of his life, she still has far more than he could ever hope to, and she knows that.
-I can't see Dualscar giving up that easily though. There will be quite the bloody battle. I do not honestly think that Dualscar would back down if he was a yandere, it would almost certainly be a battle to the death.
-The Condesce would certainly win, the difference in power would make the battle completely unfair, no matter how dirtily Dualscar was willing to fight.
-Dualscar would honestly try to take you out with him if he knows he's going to die, even if you were on perfect terms before you were captured, as a last act of possession and resistance.

Got any yandere Gamzee headcanons? Or just Gamzee in general? He is that first homestuck character I got to know about
Yandere Gamzee Hcs
- Gamzee is a chill yandere, he trusts you and lets you talk to whoever you wanna
- and unlike most hs yanderes has the general understanding that forcing you to not talk to people is controlling and unhealthy as fuck! And you two are meant to be so, why would he act such a way? Those that are meant for eachother, are good for eachother
- sober gamzee is completely different though, and he’s utterly terrifying.
- a non yandere sober gamzee is possessive and overly protective so just imagine how possessive and protective a yandere sober gamzee can be
- doesn’t let you talk to anyone other than himself, he truly believes everyone else is beneath the both of you and he’s even more murderous, killing them for his messiah bullshit, but also to show you how dangerous he can be if you anger him.
- so it’s probably best he is like.. never sober
- unfortunately his darling may be under the belief the soper pies make him crazy, couldn’t be anymore different lol and it’s hard to get him back on them
- but back to non sober gamzee
- doesn’t keep you locked inside, again he’s just a very chill dude, so chill nobody (or even you) would be under the impression his love for you is unhealthy, because he doesn’t act upon it (mostly)
- this is also because he’s not under the impression his obsession of you is unhealthy
- he may come across as self aware of unhealthy yandereish habits but typically he isn’t, he just listened to karkats many rambles about love and how it should be
- but he is just a chill person so he doesn’t rlly . Act upon any possessiveness or protectiveness .
- and hey, he’s not really even the killing type? Like he wouldn’t unless he was sober
- he just has some issues? Like
- he’s obsessive, he’s always with you but he just comes across as a lot more clingy than most matesprites would be

- he knows where you are at all times, but as subtle as he tries to be you probably know you have a stalker, he just hopes you don’t find out it’s him. Especially since you trust him so much

- so he just treats this as some .. dirty little secret of his and he knows in the back of his mind it’s wrong so he tries not to indulge too much
- he has considered stalking you more often but he just.. would feel bad .. he already feels bad about what he’s doing because he knows it isn’t right
- but in a world where karkat is also a yandere or just didn’t talk to him sm about this stuff you’re pretty fucked bc gamzee would be delusional as fuck lmao
- which isn’t to say he isn’t already? Cause he assumes you like him, when that may not be the case
- so when you reject him he’ll be confused genuinely so it’s a long conversation but it’s not like . Weird or anything . To you it seems fine . Gamzees just like that . He gets confused sometimes and just thought you liked him, that’s all!
- and he takes the rejection well, doesn’t force you into anything and acts the same
- at first .. then he starts kinda making you uncomfortable
- he constantly flirts with you, making moves on you, buys you things, anything he can in order to make you like him
- but he’s kinda obsessive with it as well, which is kinda when his true colors start to show
- so you may eventually block him
- which makes him real sad and he realizes he may have crossed a line
- so he leaves you alone
- distance makes the heart grow fonder, as they say.
- so it would lead to your kidnapping
- he’s real nice about it tho
- but that’s like the only instance he’d kidnap you, he’s chill otherwise
- it’s just that you’re meant to be together, he knows it. He’ll make you see it too.

Yandere Gamzee Headcanons
- It really doesn't take much for Gamzee to fall for someone. A few kind words, soft gestures. (In some cases he'll even think someone being downright cruel to him is nice.)
- Not to mention, his addiction and isolation from the others really sets him up for a breakdown. He's likely the most likely of any of the trolls to go yandere.
- So if his miracle is nice to him, shows genuine interest? He's hooked. He loves the attention. The kinder you are to him the more he falls for you.
- Though at a certain point, he'd be too delusional to care if you outright hated him.
- He's not. . .the most knowledgeable socially. His lusus was never around to teach him anything, and most of his interactions have been with the cult or online. So he'll get all up in your business, ask you the weirdest personal questions.
- Not to mention he's very physical. He's already touchy-feely but even more so with you.
- Long hug to greet you, he leans into you when you sit together maybe wrap his arms along your shoulder. He'll go as far as you let him, and its so obviously not platonic or even pale.
- He just wants any chance to be pressed close to you. It gives him something he's never felt before. You're so soft and warm- he can hear the blood pulse hard in your veins.
- In the bright sparkling haze of soper he swears he sees all the colors of the rainbow radiate off your skin. In fleeting moments that catch his breath in his lungs, all the radiance of the Mirthful Messiahs in your eyes. And all at once it hits him.
- You must be a motherfucking angel.
- From that point on he'll treat you as such.
- To him you're something divine. A step above him, above any troll or human.
- And trust me he'll tell you that. He takes any chance to sing your praises. You're pretty sure his voice would give out before he stopped.
- He never asked to be your matesprite. He think it's below you. Yet- he wants it more thank anything. Messiahs what would he give to be your matesprite?
- He's unabashedly obsessed with you. And there's not much you could say to stop the constant affection. But if you did, he would be absolutely crushed.
- His reaction to rejection wouldn't be violence, just denial and if you continued: despair. You'd see all the life go out of his eyes. He'll leave you be, and go curl up in a corner and rot if you let him.
Bonus: Sober Gamzee
- When he's high Gamzee isn't really a threat to anyone. Sober him is a whole different story.
- If you tried to help him off it- it'd be rough on you. Withdrawal is no walk in the park but if you stick though it with him? Imagine how much more obsessed he would be. You're his savior, his miracle, his angel. He owes you his life, and he'll give so much more.
- If he had to go cold turkey? In that newly sober state, he'll search you out. Even if you hurt him. It's almost instinctual, the way he looks to you for comfort.
- Depending on how you handle him from there, things could go good or very bad.
- If you suddenly don't fit up to the image he's made up of you. . . well his wicked angel just isn't feeling right. He just needs to help them (even if he needs to break a few bones).
- Either way, little heretics don't have the right to breath the same air as you.

Eridan would be pathetic with just about any partner.
He'd be the same as he would with a troll darling wants he gets into it.
At first, however, Eridan has little interest in a human.
While his friends, like Feferi, are interested in them he doesn't get into them at first.
He just... doesn't get it?
Feferi may actually be the one to introduce you to him.
Eridan notices she's been chatting up this female human recently and is a bit bothered by it.
When he asks, Feferi takes this as interest.
As a result the fuchsiablood gushes about you and how you two are friends.
"wwhat do you evven like about this specific human?"
"O)( come on, -Eridan! Look at )(er, isn't s)(e just t)(e cutest 38D? You s)(oald c)(at wit)( )(er... and be nice!"
Reluctantly, Eridan listens to her and gives it a shot.
He begins to talk to you through the chat client because Feferi urged him to.
He'd normally not bother because humans are land dwellers and just won't understand him.
Although it appears you and Feferi understand each other....
Eridan would be a troll that would take time before he feels comfortable with a human obsession.
An example of a troll who'd have the same issue is Karkat.
He tries to be considerate and understand you to appease Feferi, who he's having relationship trouble with.
By the time Eridan meets you in person he's grown invested in you and your journey.
He's impressed you reach God-Tier, he's actually a bit envious.
You've actually been a way he's been recovering from his falling out with Feferi.
He never would've thought it possible but he's actually considering a quadrant with a human.
He actually finds himself excited at the idea of meeting this female human.
When you eventually get to the meteor he even gets a bit upset that he's not the first troll you come to greet.
Of course you go to see Feferi first.
Although, while both flushed and pale quadrants didn't work with Feferi, she still introduces you to him.
Perhaps in an attempt to heal his broken bloodpumper or something.
"T)(is is -Eridan! )(e's been rat)(er attac)(ed to your w)(ole journey! You s)(oald talk to )(im! I'm s)(ore )(e's been looking forward to meeting you 38)"
"d-don't say that...! um... hey-"
He mentally face palms when he stutters in front of you.
At first, Eridan would try to keep up his usual personality.
He's dramatic and sometimes acts like he's better than you.
He tunes it down when he realizes he's losing your interest, however.
The two trolls you talk to the most are actually Feferi and Eridan.
Eridan understands that you've met her first... yet he wishes you'd spend more time with him-
Naturally, your conversations tend to dip into more personal territory.
Eridan asks about you and what exactly makes female humans different from males.
This is due to the fact reproduction with trolls doesn't really take the gender into account.
You also ask about this "quadrant" thing he brings up frequently.
It's expected with Eridan that he often vents about relationship issues.
You try to listen to him bur sometimes you need a break.
Feferi tends to give advice on how to deal with him.
Eridan struggles with how to admit he's into you.
He isn't sure what to say?
He's rebounding from Feferi and wants to fill his quadrants....
Yet he's unsure how to tell a human he wants you in his flushed quadrant.
He guesses it would be similar to a human "boyfriend" while you'd be his human "girlfriend" but he's a bit nervous.
Eridan can be a bit of a creep when he scopes out how to tell you.
Some may notice him following you around and watching you.
Others notice him silently seething when you talk to other trolls.
He's even tried to suggest dueling to win you over.
He's... a bit bloodthirsty.
It takes a lot out of him to finally tell you what he wants with you.
"look, i knoww you're a human but i'vve been thinking.... did you possibly wwant to be my matesprit? y'knoww... my red lovve? don't laugh it's taken me forevver to ask you because you're a human!"
If you reject him then he'll just be a pain.
He'll pester you, he'll get aggressive with trying to show you he loves you.
He's clingy and pleads with you to give him a chance.
He'll stop being so stuck up! Please just give him a chance!
He's desperate....
If you say yes then you still get barely any time alone.
Eridan's ecstatic that you said yes to being his Matesprit.
Any other human he finds to be not his type.
When it comes to you? He slams into you to have your attention.
Feferi is happy that Eridan has found someone, even if it is her cute human friend, although he seems to be very clingy as usual.
Any past feelings for Feferi is mostly forgotten as Eridan prefers to look for you.
At first he was reluctant to like a human, one not even part of the bloodcaste or aquatic in nature.
Now he doesn't care, someone likes him.
Even if you rejected him he'd somehow force you into it.
In private he's affectionate.
In public he acts like he doesn't want you to shower him in affection, still trying to keep up his ego.
Private? Hugs, kissing, nipping, nuzzling, you name it.
He'd do anything for you.
Eridan admittedly wants to explore you in any way he can, as intimate as that sounds....
For being a prince, if you say just the right thing he's bratty putty in your hands.
He acts like he's tough but in reality he's just happy you're paying attention to him, one way or another (even with a bit of force).
Eridan would be one to decorate you in his sign and color like some Highbloods.
It's a way to show you're his and gives him an ego boost.
He's possessive and other than violence displaying his color on your keeps you as his in his mind.
Feferi begins to feel bad when she sees you covered in Eridan's symbol.
He's taken this Matesprit thing a bit too far... like he fears to lose you.
You're God-Tier unlike him so you can keep him in his place if he decides to try and kill another troll for you, like Feferi.
Although, like some pathetic yanderes, you may just feel bad?
Eridan has so many issues when it comes to relationships.
After losing Feferi you one way or another gave him a chance.
Now you have a clingy troll who refuses to let you go.
Overall, Eridan would be hesitant to engage with a human obsession due to his ego...
Although once he catches flushed feelings... he just can't get enough of you despite his ego.

Basic Quadrants as Yanderes
-Matesprits would be normal yanderes. They want to kidnap you to love you and have you love them back. Some may have a weird way of going about this, but at the end of the day, they love something about you that makes them act like this.
-Moirails would cause problems around you, stirring up trouble and leaving you to deal with it. They might act violently towards others so that you have to tell them to stop and act as their pale quadrant, unless you want everyone there to die, of course. They may dump their problems on you, and stalk you to figure out what your problems are, because they want to help you!
-Kismeses wouldn't usually kidnap their darling, but they wouldn't give them much time to themselves either. They would probably try to get you to hate them first, and get you to develop some form of stockholm syndrome shortly after. They would always mess around with their darling, getting ever so slightly better than them and mocking or attacking them until they catch up. If they're already better than their darling, they may still down to the darling's level, even if they hate every second of it, to make their goals seem more reachable.
-Auspistices can go in completely different directions, depending on which leaf is the yandere. If the top leaf is the yandere, then what you said is pretty much how it would go. They might kidnap their darlings and force them to get along, acting as a puppeteer in the relationship to spark mild hatred into the leaves, and resolving it as quickly as they can.
-If one or both of the bottom leaves is the yandere, they may kidnap their top leaf, but they're more likely to just hang around them. They'll purposefully start problems with the other bottom leaf, and refuse to be auspistised by anyone else, so that their darling has to be the one to step in.

Thank you! Clown Culture is a real treat to think about in relation to the others! And yeah I feel ya, I love writing for all the quads and versions of our favorite clown rapper so variety is always appreciated. I did do something kind of similar way back with a post about Marvus and Makeup if you also want some HCs in relation to that.
Now onto the headcannons! I warn you they are a bit disjointed and random.
Marvus is a guy who is always on. From interviews, to content creating, to brand managing, etc. It’s hard for him to turn off for a few minutes.
After you both became official though, you insisted on him turning off t a reasonable hour to hang out and better prepare for the next day.
He could meme around on Chitter if he wanted, but he was mainly to hang out with you and calm down.
The only way he agreed to this was if you moved in. After all, how could you know he wasn’t lying if you weren’t around? :o)
He is a borderline sugarlusus.
Gift-giving is one of his main love languages, beaten only by touch. When you are within arms-length, expect him to be touching you in some way shape or form.
The only time this isn’t the case is when he takes you to work with him.
He and Xadnam pretend that you are her assistant to be sure you have access to any and everywhere during shows, shoots, etc.
He abuses this cover to make passes a you under the guise of ‘getting his money’s worth’
Examples helping him put on clothes, getting him a drink, and if you are feeling real intimate, helping put on his makeup.
Makeup is a sacred thing to clowns. Any type of allowance to mess with or help apply makeup is automatically a red flirt. No ifs ands or buts about it.
And it is the highest of red flirts.
With him its very indicative that he trusts you with himself.
He likes to have his quads paint their sign behind his ears as a silent nod to the fact that they exist, even if only he and them (maybe some of his personnel) know about it. He’ll do it himself if they’re not around and send pics to prove it. He will mess up Chahut’s to mess with her.
You paint a heart if you’re human.
He has all kinds of subtle signs to mean various things for when you’re around and he can’t say it outloud.
He’ll pretend to scratch the ear with your sign to say “I love you”
Play with his cane a certain way to let you know that you are totally getting reckt when what was currently happening was over.
Stuff like that
He almost always has his hair in a loose ponytail when you’re both alone.
And lastly he likes to nibble on your shoulder to try and lightly spook you.

You seemed impressed with the amount of “ followers “ they had before they began to explain. and you, sweet little innocent kind you, Just shrugged it off. That’s when they knew you had to be together.
Clingy. as. all. hell. After that they just practically showed up anywhere you were and messaged you all the time, Even during their live streams ( which Cirava always said they were just messaging their matesprit )
They decided your dating and you don’t need to say yes. You must feel the same way after all, Right? They just believe you guys are just too good together to even fathom the thought of you rejecting their feelings.
