Donnie Darko Headcanons
Saw someone with a Donnie Darko pfp [@ urfav-delulu] (I would tag them, but don't want to be annoying) & I decided I wanted to write for him because I love that movie, even though I don't understand it

You never have to worry about your grades with his help
It's hard to keep a conversation with him, because he's always so far away from you. The man can never seem to ground himself to reality
He's very sweet and romantic with you, wanting you to be happy
You worry about him [Rightfully so] and try to get him help
For you, he tries to get better, but it just doesn't work
He's good at pretending it is, tho, so you think he's getting better
He stopped talking about the man in the rabbit suit, the numbers/days, and such

First of all, praying for you, im not even religious but ur gonna need the help. 😭
He’s probably a delusional yandere i feel like that fits him most. You could probably show little to no interest in him and he’d still probably be like “they’re just shy.”

Do NOT get me started on his whining. How can you say no to him when He’s all “sad” and his eyes are all glossy.

Uses the gun he finds in his parents closet to get his way if all else fails, not afraid to use it against you.
He won’t shoot you, but you’ll definitely hear him turning off the safety.
When he finally wins you over he’s clingy as shit, wants to know where you are, what you’re doing .
God forbid you’re with a friend, doesn’t matter what gender he’ll take care of them, dont worry.
Traps you in his room for hours on end until you HAVE to leave, will make you listen to him read, probably has a few drawings of you on his walls.
