Listen I am the thinking about Gabrielle breaking her moral code and killing the roman soldier to try and save Xena. It’s literally my favorite moment in media ever.

Like you have Gabrielle, who is always set as being the moral center of the show. She starts off innocent and naïve but grows more as the show goes on. She gets darker but she’s still the moral center- the one that Xena always trusts to guide her through her own journey to redemption. Then she gets taken advantage of so deeply that it falls apart and The Rift happens. They make it through that but Gabrielle is so shaken by those events that she tries to revert back to her peaceful ways.

She spends an entire season trying to be peaceful. She gives up violence and carries no weapons despite how dangerous her life with Xena is and that she knows they’re going to lose their lives together soon.

Then Xena gets attacked. Xena- the woman that fought off an entire army! She’s fought off gods and all kinds of monsters but she collapses because her back got broken.

And Gabrielle picks up a weapon and starts killing Roman soldiers like it’s nothing. Even before she started her nonviolent lifestyle she NEVER killed people but Xena’s life is in danger and her first instinct was to pick up a sword to protect her.

God it gets me every time. Xena could never get rid of that piece of herself that was good and Gabrielle can’t get rid of that little piece of darkness. And at the end of the day her breaking her oath only bought Xena a couple of hours because they still end up crucified.

I know the show implies that Gabrielle’s arc is finished in the final when she picks up Xena’s mantle but to ME her realizing that there was no way for her to live a peaceful life anymore , that violence will always be a part of her and that Xena was more important then anything is just perfect.

every time I speak on Wonder Woman on twitter I get idiots in my replies who will simply do anything in their power to justify "violent warrior princess Diana who kills people." The Xena-ficiation of Wonder Woman has permanently damaged how the public interacts with her as a character and it's super depressing. I hate it here.

Legend of the Seekers Main Casts (Then vs Now)

An underrated Medieval Fantasy show I first watched as a kid. As someone who love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, watched shows like Xena and Hercules, it was a welcoming surprise to find a medieval fantasy show.

Now re-watching it again as an adult, I realise two seasons are not enough as the the book series, which this show is based and inspired on still continues after season 2, which makes me want season 3 to happen.

Age is not an issue to me, they still look incredible now. If shows like Cobra Kai, Jurassic World, Star Wars, Top Gun Maverick and Ghostbusters are able to get the original casts to return, I don’t see why we can’t do the same.

Last month (Sep 2022), Tabrett Bethell (Cara Mason) post a throwback photo of her character with Craig Horner (Richard Cypher) which prompted replies from both Craig Horner and Bridget Regan (Kahlan Amnell).

It was clear from the comments that a lot of fans wants the show to return, especially now with the popularity of medieval fantasy shows like House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power.

The stars themselves are no doubt more than happy to reprise their roles provided they have the same producers and studios or at least with good writing as it is not easy to retain the original vibes and atmosphere.

Something which divides the fans of Lord of the Rings with The Rings of Power, as the new series does not really capture the spirit and atmosphere of Peter Jackson’s trilogy as it is not easy to simply duplicate the art of another.

Unlike House of the Dragon which manage to retain the vibes of Game of Thrones, from its soundtrack, characters, story-telling and atmosphere. But like any franchise, nothing can really beat or duplicate the original.

Well, for now, we can only hope that they will return, even for just one season. For now, here’s a wholesome clip of Tabrett Bethell goofing around with Bridget Regan on set.

Listen you can’t control what ripped your heart out. One of my all time favorite moments in television is happens when a woman who has taken up a vow of non-violence sees her lover fall in battle and without thought picks up a sword to defend her. That same show also has a episode where that same woman hallucinates marrying a mere-man.

Life is Strange has made me cry multiple times but it also has a grown man who loves beans and has some of the worst dialogue ever

First of all, im in like episode 250 and so far he hasnt been shown attracted to any woman at all during the whole show so far, not even when one changed clothes in the same room as him and this is anime so you know there were other characters with bloody noses and shit. With that out of the way he wields three swords at once [two in his hands, one is his goddamn mouth dude. Its cool af trust me.] When he was little he made a promise to his best friend that he'd be the best swordsman in the world. Later she died in a tragic accident and left her sword which he still uses today. He also carries a cursed sword but he overpowers the curse with a combination of skill and sheer luck. He got stuck in a chimney. While his crewmates sail their ship he takes naps. He learned how to cut through metal by fighting a guy who could turn his body into metal blades. That's metal. He refuses to fight this liberal marine officer because she looks like his childhood best friend and its just understandably really awkward for him. He's autistic. He's a he/him bisexual lesbian. He's a gay man. He's ace/aro. He's whatever you want him to be babey!!

He not only has a sword he has *three* swords. He's absolutely gay there's no way to see this man as straight. Also one time he licked his sword for no reason and that was really funny to me so I had to mention it

Look, this man thinks about three things: Swords, His Captain, and Booze. He’s on a quest to be the worlds greatest swordsman. The Live action has a scene where he declares his undying, unwavering loyalty to his captain WHILE reaffirming his promise to be the worlds greatest swordsman. At this point His dream and his Captain are so intertwined it’s crazy. Man is so sword-y he’s got three of them. When one of his swords broke he carried its empty scabbard until he was able to give it a SWORD FUNERAL. He hears a sword is cursed and takes that as a challenge. He will literally tell his swords off for “bad behavior” when they “act up” due to being straight up cursed. He tests one by throwing it in the air and sticking his arm out to see if it is so blood thirsty and ill tempered that it will cut him. Even though he’s literally the first mate if you ask him what his role is he’s going to answer Swordsman.

He's dedicated his life to two things: becoming the greatest swordsman in the world and his captain, Luffy.

He mastered the three sword style. Its his style. It would've been more swords but he could only fit one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. He wants to be the world's greatest swordsman, a deal he made with his childhood best frenemy (before she died falling down the stairs). He thought he was All That at the start and was almost completely decimated by the actual Worlds Greatest Swordsman. Now, after two years forced training with that guy, he's probably in the top tier no-doubt, and honestly could already be the best but we just don't know for sure yet. Also, did I mention: he's got the whole demon/devil imagery going on at times. And he has absolutely no sense of direction! plus is a total softie when it comes to Chopper and all the children who somehow gravitate towards him. And he loves naps!

One of the guy's main goals in life is to be the best sword fighter and he fights with three swords which I think is telling enough of his skill.
