The wooden boy with the borrowed soul 🌱 Amento is the character I play in our Curse of Strahd campaign. He’s a wooden puppet druid - who apparently wasn’t a puppet at first at all! He is looking for his druid master Vladislava who disappeared one day leaving only her cloak and hat behind. Amento didn’t remember anything about his past at first, and the memories he is now getting back are making him just more confused. 💦

I got a drawing frenzy last weekend and drew Amento in so many outfits! His normal outfit consist of a cloak and a hat that were left behind by his master when she disappeared. Under the cloak he has his own Vistani clothes that he doesn’t remember where he got from. The night gown Amento borrowed once from another player when his own clothes were soaked, and the jester costume I drew because we found out that Amento was a jester in his previous life - it’s also what mini-Amento wears.

I’ve been enjoying this campaign so much 💖

My fav thing about TAZ is that any aspect out of context sounds fucking bonkers.

Like, in the balance finale there's a scene in which Garfield (who is very specifically never described visually bc most people imagine him as like. The Lasagna Cat. Who in this universe is the most powerful warlock in the realm and also has a hobby of cloning people, which is great for the one character that got forced into haunting a mannequin) is summoned by an alien spaceship that runs on the power of friendship so he could beat up some flashing balls. In D&D.

And that was just. Such a normal scene in the narrative. No one blinked an eye. I would like to bow down to Griffins clear unmatched talent for making me feel such big emotions over ridiculous shit like a goddamned umbrella or a regular ass pair of jeans or the idea of a taco recipe.

I got into VOICES OF THE VOID in September and took a particular liking to the mannequins... to the point I discovered a Paracosm character in there!! After some shenanigans with Dr. Kel, they eventually befriend each other and she just enjoys hanging out with Dr. Kel and co! Sometimes making a mess with her besties WWW based on some real things that happened watching one of my friends play it ww

Her name is Betzy! She has a very urban and chic vibe to her, and apparently has fingers (which means something significant from the mannequin society she was exiled from.). No one knows where she gets her clothes from or how she even grabs a hold of them ... but it plays a part as to why she had been exiled from her original society.

Alongside her is Angelicca, her best friend who followed her despite her exile. Mannequins seem to be made of different wood and thus vary in appearance! While Betzy vibes with the bustling city look, Angelicca gravitates to very feminine attire, especially if it's yellow. She also has a whole thing for butterflies, as it is one of her biggest dreams to observe them on the surface.
