hii, eires!! so i just saw your prompt list (super comprehensive, i'm in awe) and this idea immediately popped into my head as i was reading through them: their friends find out you’re not as scary as you look + you rub your cheek against their chest
and in my mind, riki starts dating someone but he's always been secretive about her when it came to the other members. they only ever saw her in passing since he doesn't want to hang out with her at the dorms where 6 other (stinky) boys live. and she has a very cool/cold aura about her and a rbf (much like riki 😭) so they worry she's mean or up to no good but in the scenario they stumble upon a cute and fluffy scene where riki and her are all lovey w each other :> and teasing ensues and riki gets all embarrassed and grumpy and she ends up being nice lol. it doesn't have to include all 7 of them, and you can pick any other prompts or ideas!! but that's my suggestion, yea :D
✈︎ the perfect moment
pairing : idol!bf!riki x fem!reader
warnings + genre : slight angst. fluff. teasing. riki gets angry and storms off. height difference.
wc : 2k
a/n : HIII N STOP I LOVE YOUR REQ SM??? i literally loved writing this so much, you’re literally a genius. i hope you like it, and that it lines up with your expectations! this was my first ever request so i’m a bit nervous lol. PLS LMK HOW I DID🫶🫶
Tumblr media
“Have you spoken with Riki today?” Jay looked up from his phone at Heeseung’s worried tone, his eyebrows furrowing as he tried recalling a time he talked with their youngest member within the last twenty four hours.
“Uh no, why?” Jay tried not to let his nervousness show, barely stopping his voice from wavering. It wasn’t unusual for Riki to be away from his phone during their days off. If anything, it was expected of him.
Ever since he’d gotten together with you, he’d always spend his free time with you, typically spending the entire time at your apartment.
But what wasn’t usual was him going no contact the entire day. Usually, he’d pop a few messages every couple of hours, informing his members about his plans and his sleeping arrangements.
“He hasn’t responded to anyone’s messages, Jake is getting worried because Riki told him that he’d call around noon and it’s-” Heeseung made a show of turning his lit-up phone screen towards Jay, bold numbers in the top center, “already seven.”
As if to confirm Heeseung’s words, Jake began spamming their group chat, questioning every single member about his whereabouts.
Jay gasped as he remembered his last conversation with Riki, one that took place just as he caught Riki leaving around six in the morning. “He’s with YN. I’m pretty sure they went to her family’s place in Incheon for lunch.”
Heeseung suddenly recalled Riki informing them about his trip a few nights ago, an excited smile on his face as he rambled to his members about how much he’d been looking forward to today.
“Oh” The two boys shared a look, their expressions clearly troubled as they both thought back on the same memory. They didn’t mean to completely dismiss Riki’s excitement. They wanted to be excited for him, but it was hard.
They both remembered the way they all grimaced as they heard your name, their evident disapproval showcased on their faces. It was clear to everyone that they didn’t approve of you, well it was clear to everyone except for Riki up until that moment.
They all watched as his face dropped, confusion filling his eyes as he questioned them about their expression. Heeseung almost wished he could go back in time to stop himself from humiliating you in front of everyone, to stop himself from making his wrongful assumptions in front of your boyfriend.
He could hear his own words loud in his ears as if he said it all over again. “Riki, I don’t think she’s right for you. She’s never once shown any intention to even meet any of us, she just seems stand-offish.”
If that didn’t completely throw your boyfriend off, then his leaders following words definitely did. “She doesn’t seem like a good person to be around, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen her smile.”
Heeseung saw the way Riki completely hardened at their words, his eyes glaring holes into them as he stood up from his chair. He could feel the way he flinched when Riki’s chair screeched against their dorm floor as he stormed outside, his house shoes still on.
“I feel bad about what happened that day.” Heeseung shook out of his reverie as he glanced over at Jay, his eyes glazed over the same way. “He’s barely said a single word to any of us since then. He literally gave me the cold shoulder yesterday!”
It was clear to everyone in the group how much Riki cherished you. They saw it in the way his entire body perked up at your name. Or in the way they all watched him stay up late making little origami bouquets for you even when he had an early schedule.
It was so easy to dismiss all his acts of love because they’d never seen the two of you in action, only seeing a small glimpse of you as their managers dropped Riki off at your apartment for your weekly sleepovers. Or when they caught sight of you sitting in their company lobby while waiting for your boyfriend, head cladded in black headphones.
They all remembered the way you’d react when you caught them looking, the way you’d avoid their eyes and look down at the floor. Your oversized jeans and graphic hoodies didn’t help with their image of you either, your style matching their youngest perfectly.
Those small peaks were enough for them to form their own opinions of you, enough for their dislike of you to build to the point of spilling in front of your boyfriend.
Jay felt his phone buzzing in his hand, a phone call from Jungwon coming in as his and Heeseung’s conversation paused. “Hello?” Heeseung couldn’t hear what Jungwon was saying over the quiet radio, their manager ignoring their conversation as he sat bobbing his head in the front.
“Okay, Heeseung and I will reach the dorm first, once we get home I’ll try calling Riki again.” As soon as Jay ended the call he was quick to summarize their entire conversation, Heeseung nodding along as he agreed to call Riki as soon as they returned.
Their dorm was completely silent as they unlocked the door, all lights turned off sans for the smallest ray peeking from under Riki’s door.
Both boys’ eyes widened as they saw two pairs of shoes beside the door, a small awe of amazement leaving Heeseung’s mouth as he saw their matching shoes. “Jay, look! They literally have matching dunks.” He bent down to untie his shoes, eyes never leaving the smaller pair.
“Her feet are so small, how tall is she?” Heeseung shrugged in response, their limited knowledge about you showing in their questions.
“Riki told me that she’s five three, she literally barely reaches his bicep.” Both boys jumped in shock as Jake appeared behind them, Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Sunoo following close behind him.
“You actually almost just gave me a heart attack” Sunoo snickered at the two boys before he paused in front of them, just now also noticing the shoes sitting beside the door. “Oh my god?” He gasped, a hand flying over his lips as his eyes sparked. “I think that’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen?”
Jungwon leaned over Jake’s shoulder to see what everyone was staring at, regret coming back in full force as he recalled what he said to Riki.
Everyone settled down on their couch, their outer attire still around their shoulders and they relaxed for a minute. Through the silence in the living room, they were able to hear a small feminine giggle, one followed by a laugh they recognized as Riki’s right away.
Jungwon stood up from his spot, tilting his head towards the door with wide eyes. They all stood frozen in spot as they finally heard the quiet music coming from his room, barely loud enough to hear over your giggles.
All the boys shared a knowing look, deciding this was the moment they’d finally properly meet you. They all stood around Riki’s door, Jake in the front as he gently grabbed the door handle. They all watched with bated breaths as the door opened, releasing it as they saw that neither of you heard it.
All their jaws dropped at the scene in front of them, the pure innocent scene in front of them not only melting their hearts but changing their thoughts on you.
The sight that welcomed them was one straight from a romcom, everything down to the way you looked into each other’s eyes was filled with nothing but love.
You stood in front of Riki, one hand entwined with his with your other wrapped tight around his waist. Your cheek was resting against his chest, chin pointed up as you looked him in the eyes with the brightest smile on your face.
Riki’s smile mirrored yours, hearts barreling out of his eyes as he held you tight against him.
Your feet were on top of his, sock-cladded heels elevated in the air as you stood on your tippy toes. For the first time since they’ve seen you finally ditched your jeans and an oversized sweater, both of you wearing your matching sets of lotte world pyjamas. Riki’s filled with small pictures of Lotty, and yours with Lorry.
Riki quietly hummed along to the music, playfully singing random parts to you.
These moments together were his favourite, the soft ones that were shared between just the two of you. In your private world without the perceptions of others ruining your moment, it was perfect.
Well, it was perfect until Jay accidentally awed out loud, both your heads snapping towards Riki’s ajar door. Riki reacted before you, gently lowering you onto the ground and pushing you against his back, hiding you from the others’ view.
Riki could feel your nervousness, your hands rubbing small shapes into his stomach as you held him tighter. Riki glared at his members as he felt your heart racing against his back, his protectiveness coming out in waves as he broadened his stance to hide you better.
“Is there something wrong?” Sunoo could barely keep his smile down, even with Riki’s glaring eyes he still looked completely harmless.
His long hair was done up in a half-up ponytail, his zigzag headband pushing his bangs out of his face. “You guys are so cute!” Riki raised an eyebrow at him in confusion, eyes losing their sharpness as the members started complimenting the two of you over each other.
“Can you all leave, please? We’re kind of in the middle of something.” At your boyfriend’s surly wording, you gave him a soft nudge to the back. He quietly apologized to his members as they all gaped in amazement, “You got in to apologize with just a tap? We need you around more.” Riki turned red with embarrassment, closing his eyes tight as he focused on your hands around his waist.
You finally peeked out from behind your boyfriend’s back, automatically being met with all six boys staring at you with a soft look, small smiles greeting you as you looked from member to member. Riki felt you wiggling behind him, his protective instincts coming up again.
He turned his back to the members as he held you against his chest, looking down into your eyes for any sort of discomfort. When you nodded at him with a smile he finally stepped to the side, his hand clasped around yours as he pressed his side completely to yours.
Seeing your height difference in person differed completely from just hearing it from Jake. The actual image of the two of you beside each other was one they’d never forget.
“Hey, you’re yn, right?” You nervously nodded your head towards Heeseung after looking into Riki’s eyes for reassurance. Heeseung smiled brightly at your cute acts, a tender affection filling whatever disapproval he held before.
Heeseung walked towards you, ignoring Riki’s warning looks, and reaching his hand out toward you. “I’m Heeseung, Riki’s eldest brother.” You wrapped your smaller hand around his own, your anxiety almost completely washing away at his gentleness.
“It’s nice to meet you. Riki had told me a lot about you.” Riki groaned out loud as you outed him, a soft whine of faux annoyance leaving his lips as he tugged on your entwined hands. “Don’t tell him that! That was supposed to be our secret.” You looked away from Heeseung to look at your boyfriend, a big smile on your lips as you gave him the softest look you could muster.
“I mean it’s fine, you can tell them anything” Riki looked away from you with flushed cheeks, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth as he tried to hide his lovesick smile.
“I didn’t know you could slow dance, Riki.” The room erupted with laughter as your boyfriend groaned. You easily allowed him to disconnect your hands so he could tackle Jake in a headlock, loud “la la la”’s leaving his mouth as they all teased him.
“Riki, dance with me!” Heeseung joined them, acting like he was going to wrap his arms around Riki’s waist. “Baby, help me!” Riki tried calling you for backup, only to let out a sigh of betrayal as you joined their teasing.
Even if your relationship with his members started off rocky, there was nothing any of you would change about this moment. It was completely perfect.

Jake’s love painted the perfect picture, the canvas splaying out in a precise manner. The midnight giggles and morning delicacies were nothing more than a distraction, a part Jake played a little too well.
You were blindsided by everything else around you, unable to escape your 2d world. The walls of your heart were crafted by the lies that Jake had sewn into your skin since early on, the needle beginning its stitch the second his eyes met yours.
The gallons of paint were now splattered across the sky, Jake's canvas cracking as the black seeped in through the sections where he forgot to blend.
The audio recording sounded out across your stale room, all air stuck in your lungs as you held your breath, heartbeat behind your eyes as the tears welled.
“LN YN? It’s like you're asking for me to lose before I even begin.” The voice so clearly belonged to your boyfriend, his recognizable shocked tone sounding extra sharp.
“So you’re giving up? It’s not my fault they’ve never noticed you before.” Park Sunghoon, the man who always supported that boyish smile, and your boyfriend's best friend.
“I think they’re a good choice, allows more room for fun” Park Jongseong, the captain of the rugby team, again, your boyfriend's best friend.
“What do I get if I win?”
“Easy. You get this” Even if you couldn’t physically see this scene, you knew very well what Park Sunghoon was shaking in his hands. The bills slapping together as he shook them.
“Deal, prepare to hand it over.” The sound of their hands meeting was your tipping point, vision blurring as the tears fell.
The constricted air in your lungs shot out with your first exhale, chest burning as the weight of your boyfriend's betrayal lay heavy.
The next minutes were a blur of tears and blinding lights, your packed bags landing beside your feet as you hurriedly pulled on your shoes. Your phone buzzing to life in your pocket, messages coming in back to back.
You tried ignoring it, the thought of seeing your boyfriend's contact on your screen creating an overwhelming nauseous feeling.
It wasn’t until you heard a specific ringtone that you decided to fish your phone from your pocket, the loud voice of Sunghoon ringing too loudly across Jake’s apartment.
After hanging out with Jake’s friends a few times you managed to get extremely close to them, Sunghoon in specific. It was easy to get along with him, easy to drown within his sweet aura.
After class one day you accidentally stumbled into him, his attempts to hide his swollen eye coming up unsuccessful. You remembered that day, the day you found out about his fights.
It was as if that evening opened a door to your relationship, Sunghoon attaching himself to your hip.
One day all the boys decided to prank you, changing your ringtones to ones personalized by them. Sunghoon’s voice through his own ringtone has never felt so daunting, you’ve never hated him more.
Your eyes lazily read across his newest message, ignoring the other twenty-seven he’d sent within the last two minutes.
hoon
I’m so sorry, I promise we called off the bet after meeting you please don’t do anything you’ll regret. Jake’s on his way back, please hear him out
Without another thought you pressed his notification, the delivered alert changing to seen straight away. It seemed that Sunghoon was already typing again, bubbles popping up right away.
You ignored him once again, leaving his chat to open Jake’s. There was only one message from him, one sent by him hours ago, right after he left to Jay’s house.
“Never talk to me again” you whispered as your fingers pressed each letter, shakily pressing each letter before pressing send. As soon as the message went through you tossed your phone onto the table beside Jake’s door.
Of course, in hindsight, it was foolish to get rid of your phone, but there’s no way you could continue using it knowing all the memories stored in it.
What you didn’t know, was that when you threw it you somehow opened your emails, the email that contained the audio recording.
And so you left, leaving nothing but your phone. You ignored the looks in the lobby, your favourite neighbours giving you worried looks as they saw your state.
You got into the car, carelessly throwing your bags into the backseat. You reversed out of the spot, leaving Jake without another thought.
Jake could feel the dread in his chest as he entered the lobby, the same neighbours that saw you leave in a haste not yet seeing him and they whispered amongst themselves.
“Is yn alright? She just left in a hurry, she was crying pretty bad” Jake didn’t register their words until he reached his apartment, his hands on his knees as he caught his breath.
He had figured he’d get up faster if he ran up the stairs, the elevator always took ages to get down to the lobby.
He slammed open his door, tears falling once again as he noticed that all your belongings were gone. The only sound in his apartment was his own breathing, well that’s what he thought until he saw your discarded phone.
He walked towards it, jelly knees barely holding him up as he bent down to grab your phone. He felt acid rise up his throat, eyes widening as he heard the audio coming from your phone.
He knew you had found out the moment Sunghoon looked up at Jake with glassy eyes, shaking his head as he tried to get the words out. He didn’t waste a second before running out, ignoring his friends calling for him as the apartment door slammed behind him.
He was too late, he missed you by mere seconds. He didn’t have the chance to talk to you, to explain himself. This wasn’t how he wanted you to find out, he was planning countless ways that he would tell you.
That bet was Jake Sim’s biggest regret, but it wasn’t a mistake. Even if he was given the chance to go back and stop himself from accepting the bet, he would never do it. The time he spent with you was his favourite, you became his favourite person.
He didn’t know where he would go from here, but all he knew was that he needed to get to your apartment as soon as possible. And so he ran back down all flights of stairs, racing to his car as he sped towards you.
He didn’t know if you’d ever forgive him, but he needed to try. He loved you more than anything, even if it wasn’t genuine at first.
Jake Sim loved you, but after today you didn’t know if you believed that. If he loved you he wouldn’t have done this to you.

Torrents of heat licked down your skin, your tears leaving burning streaks of crimson as they mixed with the sprouts of acid-spewing from your palms.
You shakily swiped from photo to photo, fingers akin to jelly barely tracing the silhouette of the man who you’d recognized right away, the man who’s been lying to your face for months.
“Why did you do it?” You could barely feel anything outside of your pulsating heart, Riki’s silence sounding louder than rain pelting down outside the car window.
At first, Riki was unsure about what you were talking about, naively trying to convince himself that you hadn’t found out. But by the look in your eyes, he knew you did.
“Did I really mean that little to you that you had to go find someone else?” Self-doubt was evil, but it still didn’t hurt as much as Riki’s infidelity.
“It was a mistake” Your heart broke as your boyfriend didn’t even attempt to deny the claims.
Vile rose up your throat at the look in his eyes, looking at you as if you were the one who broke his heart.
“A mistake? How the fuck do you accidentally kiss my best friend?”
“She was the first one to kiss me!” Riki nearly shouted, excuses halting as he processed the look of disbelief on your face. He knew he messed up the moment he accidentally let the complete truth come out, the angel on his shoulder’s wings detaching as the horns of the devil grew.
“First time? You’ve kissed her more than once?” You couldn’t help the bitter laugh from leaving your lips, eyes closing as you attempted to calm yourself before you made this situation worse.
Riki knew better than to lie. He knew you deserved more than what he wanted to give you to protect his image. He just nodded at you, his sincere apologies leaving his mouth through the cracks of the tape his mind attached to his lips.
“I don’t forgive you.” You tried to respond but faced difficulty due to your face in your hands, thumbs wiping the tears from your eyes.
You flinched away in disgust as Riki tried wiping your tears for you, lips pulling up in a grimace as you glared at him, “I’ll never forgive you.”
Riki tried not to break down knowing the words that would soon follow, his body absorbing your disgust as the waves drowned him.
“I never want to see you again, get the hell out of my house.”
Riki didn’t know when he allowed himself to turn this way. He was becoming, no, he became the same monster that he’d spent his life running from. The exact one lurking deep in his closet as he heard his father's adultery through his thin walls.
At some point in time, those walls became the ones that closed around his mind, locking him into the same cage that his father locked himself in years ago.
He wanted nothing more than to go back in time. Go far enough to stop himself from getting mixed up with your best friend after she found him crying from one of your arguments. But he didn’t hate her, at least not as much as he hated himself.
The first time he touched her was a mistake, one that caused him to scrub his entire body raw for weeks. The filth her hands left on his arms, the one that transferred onto his lips, the one that made its way through his heart, was nothing more than the same filth that filled his father.
He became the one person he swore he never wanted to become, the man who was once the person Riki loathed the most. But now, he himself is now at the top of his list.
And so he left, he left the one thing he’d ever loved in the world and there was no one to blame but himself.

Can u use this prompt from ur list???? this one: you both attend a dance without a date and a slow song comes on. you saw that they didn’t have anyone to dance with and so you went up to them, offering your hand with a shy smile on your face. “Can I have this dance?”
thank u! love, @ms-no1kpopstan

pairing : stucopres!heeseung x fem!reader
warnings + genre : fluff. first love au. they’re both down bad. reader makes the first move.

a/n : i literally loved that prompt sm, it has so many different possibilities. i hope you enjoy reading this, lmk how i did🤍
Tumblr media
It didn’t come as a shock to everyone when they witnessed Lee Heeseung, their school's beloved student president, enter the dance without a date on his arm.
Every day since the morning their student council announced the dance up until the day before the scheduled date they’ve all watched with crushed hope as student after student got coldly rejected.
It seemed that no one was able to catch the heart of their president, or at least that’s what they thought until today.
Heeseung was well aware of all the eyes on him, a queasy feeling replacing his original confidence. Their beady eyes brought a sense of dread over him, he always felt like he had to act a specific way under their watchful gazes.
Heeseung tried to distract himself with his glass of sparkling water in front of him, watching as the liquid rocked back and forth as he tilted the glass.
He was so unfocused to the point where he didn’t hear the hesitant footsteps sounding towards him, unaware of the shy smile situated on your face.
“Can I have this dance?” Heeseung’s head snapped up at your familiar voice, butterflies fluttering around his stomach as your eyes connected.
Yn Ln, the woman who Heeseung’s had his eyes set on since elementary school. Since early on he’s been hooked on the way your eyes sparkled whenever you’d get excited, always imagining the way they’d look with his reflection shining back.
He noticed the way you’d wrap your arms around your friends' elbows, resting your head against their shoulders as you animatedly gushed about your newest obsession (right now it’s peach kasugai gummies).
He’d create a world where you’d treat him the way way, where you’d greet him with a small innocent hug and he melted into your embrace.
But he’d never expect you to be the one to come up to him, not when he’d always seen you as someone extremely untouchable.
So you couldn’t blame Heeseung for his red cheeks, nor for his cute stuttering when he rapidly nodded his head at your words.
He felt the world pause as he held you in his arms, the soft music playing creating the perfect, almost serene scene. The spotlight seemed to shine down on you at the perfect time, just in time to catch the love-filled smile you shot toward Heeseung.
Cupid's arrow shot directly into his chest, erupting into a million red hearts as they scattered across his entire body.
“You’re so beautiful.” Heeseung didn’t recognize his voice, way too soft to belong to him. He’d never spoken in that tone before, one that reminded him of the way he’d always imagined you speaking to him.
“Thank you, Heeseung. You’re even prettier” To you, he was the prettiest person you’ve ever seen. His pretty smile that always kissed his face whenever he teased his friends, a smile graced by the angels.
You were almost envious of the way he stood out from everyone, his heart on his sleeves as he excused himself from the crowd of students to assist an old lady crossing the intersection.
You knew he’d come alone, his friends always teasing him a little too loud whenever you stood close to them. It was hard not to hear their loud voices, especially not when Sunghoon would whistle towards Heeseung after you looked toward them.
You felt Heeseung’s eyes on you whenever he thought you weren’t paying attention, the way he’d stare at you for minutes with no interruption.
It was too bad that he never noticed your equally returned attention until this moment, but this moment would soon become your favourite one.
“I really adore you” You confidently told him, purposefully getting close enough to feel his heart race. “I want nothing more than to be yours” Heeseung thought he was about to pass out, he was too scared to say anything just in case he suddenly woke up from this heavenly dream.
“Can I call you mine?” Heeseung nodded a bit too fast, whiplash hitting him straight away. You laughed as he staggered in place, eyes closed as his world spun.
“Oh no, I’m waking up.” Your amused smile grew as Heeseung whispered to himself, his expression morphing into one that perfectly expressed his inner turmoil.
“You’re not dreaming, silly. If you were dreaming I wouldn’t be able to do this” You placed a small kiss on his cheek, your lipstick transferring onto the surface as you parted.
It was at that exact moment when it became apparent to everyone in the room, that you were the one Lee Heeseung wanted to bring to the dance all along.

this work is part two of another request
Tumblr media
“Riki you have to get out eventually, what better day than today?” Heeseung’s concerned voice woke Riki up from his sleepless daze, eyes remaining closed as the heavy pounding kept its steady, unrelenting pace.
It’s been about three months since Riki’s last seen you, three long months since you’ve blocked him and his entire friend group on everything.
He also hasn’t heard from your best friend, not that she’s ever tried reaching out. Hours after Riki left your house that day Jake had informed him about your big fallout with her, one that left everyone wondering about what could’ve possibly happened.
“Fine, just give me a minute” Riki groaned from under his blankets, his voice barely heard over his obnoxiously loud fan.
He heard the way Heeseung cheered as he scurried away, his slippers colliding with the ground as he yelled at everyone to get ready. If this happened months ago Riki would’ve smiled, but now he could do nothing but sigh.
It’s been a while since he’d actually done something with his life, his life consisting mostly of late mornings and eye bags. After his break up with you, his company decided to put him on hiatus, informing fans that he needed a mental health break.
It seemed that every day away from work he just got worse, drowning in the memories the two of you shared in his dark room. In the mornings he imagined your hand scratching the back of his hair, your sweet voice bringing him out of his sleep.
The phantom touches only made everything worse, especially because he refused to touch anything that you’d placed in his room during the duration of your relationship.
He left all small notes up, the little polaroids with encouraging doodles, and he left your clothes exactly where you left them.
The only thing he allowed himself to touch was your mango perfume, one that he spent many nights cradling in his arms as he sobbed into your designated pillow.
Riki forced himself out of bed, almost tripping over his own feet as his head spun. His room was still encased in darkness, his blackout blinds pulled closed, the same position they’d been in since you broke up with him.
He blindly grabbed random clothes, uncaring as he made his way into his private washroom. Riki left his eyes closing as he changed, unable to look at his reflection, scared to see his father's eyes staring back at him.
Riki still didn’t look at his outfit as he ventured back towards his bed, grabbing your perfume, and drowning himself in your scent. His anxious heart calmed at your scent, the racing of his mind momentarily ceasing.
As soon as he joined the others he was welcomed with wide smiles, their eyes full of excitement due to Riki finally agreeing to join them on their days off.
“They’re only smiling at you because they don’t know what you did.” Riki’s mind liked ruining whatever chance of happiness he had, reminding him of his reality.
It was true, none of them knew what he did to you. They only knew that you’d broken up with him and wanted nothing to do with anyone who surrounded themselves with him.
You’d cut them all out of your life, even when they’ve become some of your closest friends. They tried hard not to blame you knowing that they’d do the same thing to themselves if they were you.
The sun was almost too hot, the air too humid as Riki’s hair stuck to the back of his neck. His heavy hoodie never felt heavier than it did sitting on his shoulders, his lack of meals making a difference to his body.
He never attempted to join in his member's conversations, just nodding along when they asked him something. His mind was preoccupied, the familiar path mocking his deepest desires.
It was hard living a life with you without you in it. He saw you in everything, feeling your presence more whenever you weren’t around.
He didn’t notice that his members stopped walking, not until he walked straight into Jake’s back. “Riki, didn’t you want to try this place? Let’s go now!” Sunghoon turned towards Riki, wrapping his arm around his shoulder as he attempted to pull him into the first cafe he saw.
Riki allowed Sunghoon to drag him and continued allowing Sunghoon to order him whatever tasteless thing he was going to end up wasting.
It wasn’t until they all sat down that Riki had the opportunity to look out the window to figure out why his members were acting all strange.
Riki almost didn’t recognize the current you. Your hair was cut just beneath your shoulders, dyed hair coming as the biggest shock. It reminded him of all the times he’d play with your hair, telling you how much he loved the length of it.
It hurt seeing you lean up to kiss someone else, his chest burning as you never once looked towards him, your eyes never straying away from the man beside you for longer than three seconds.
His blood turned cold as the man’s face finally came into his direct vision, the familiar features making his jaw drop. He recognized him right away, anger coating him from head to toe.
Park Sungho, your older brother's childhood best friend.
Riki should’ve known he’d eventually find his way to you. Almost everyone was well aware of the crush Sungho had on you his entire life. As much as Riki resented him for being with you, he appreciated him just as much.
He was able to be there for you when Riki wasn’t, Sungho deserved to be loved by you..
Riki would never know that you’ve completely ditched your beloved mango perfume for a sweet citrus scent. The mango scent would forever remind him of you and your citrus scent will forever remind you of the man who healed you.
The others shared a look as they noticed Riki staring at the two of you, tears clouding his vision. “You’ll be okay too.” Riki knew he wouldn’t heal from his mistakes. He knew they’d haunt him for the rest of his life. But he just nodded, nodded because deceiving people seemed to be his best talent.
