I'd really have to dig in deeper into indian-british history in order to develop this further (and to dress everyone more accurately) but I'm tentatively placing this in the 1830s... Akio could be an indian nobleman who worked with/for the east india company... Maybe did some shady stuff for it and was rewarded with a lavish mansion in the uk... Thinking back to before the pandemic; I used to dress goth - I was gothic and witchy, I wore black and lace and velvet and dresses chains and collars and loved practising magic, wearing vintage dresses and big heavy shoes, embracing this raw part of me; I forgot how good it felt to express myself and feel truly comfortable. Now coming to learn or relearn parts of my raw self, I think I revisit this era and see how I express it now.
