@dnangelic said // ' wiz, can you eat chocolate... ? 'after all this time, he's still really never put any thought into what really wiz was... or what the rabbit-like creature could properly eat beyond fruits and vegetables, anyhow. the enormous, boy-sized mountain pile of chocolates he's stolen (stolen? could it even be said that?) from school, intended for dark over the course of valentines and white day, was outright impossible for just one person to eat. ' i'm starting to regret taking everything, but... augh, no, forget it! it's not good to be having second thoughts over something like this! maybe towa-chan and argentine can help me ... ! ' hopefully they wouldn't have any issues digesting chocolate, too!
a tiny pink nose twitched as it sniffed the treats. the familiar was used to sampling different foods over the years but nothing was as delicious as a fresh fruit or vegetable in his mind. it's also why he chose to remain mostly settled in the form of a rabbit though he could easily become anything he felt like being.
still, the bunny did find it silly that his master would have guilt over taking things that technically belonged to him in the first place. it didn't seem like that much chocolate to the little familiar. although; if he really wanted, Daisuke could always share with the Harada girls. specifically Riku.
Risa was nice, but always tried holding him. he didn't like how grabby she was. in order to express this thought he picked up one of the still wrapped bags that was about the size of him and dragging it up to the phone. ears flicking slightly as the rabbit thumped his foot down a few times before jumping back down to the pile of treats to grab a few cherry filled ones for himself.

“911, what’s your emergency?”
“I-I…th-there’s something outside. I don’t know what it is; I don’t know what to do—”
“Sir, please try and remain calm, are you hiding?”
“Y...yes, I am.”
“Did you see what it looked like?”
“I-I don’t…I don’t know it was…tall and…pale? I…I don’t think it’s human.”
“Don’t worry sir, help is on the way, where is your location?”
“███████ ████”
“Officers have been sent to your location. Remain silent and hidden. Do not instigate.”
"I won't."

“Draco.”
His eyes focused on the screen harder.
“Draco.”
Maybe if he pretended he can’t hear it for one more second, he could actually—
“Draaa-co.”
With a huff that wouldn’t shame a steam engine, Draco lifted his eyes to Harry’s face. “What? What’s so important that you won’t let me get to the end of the bloody paragraph? Are you incapable of amusing yourself for ten literal minutes, you impossible chil—”
“Your computer’s smoking.”
“Wha—” shit. He knew he shouldn’t have trusted George’s ‘battery enhancers’. He turned to glare at Harry’s infuriating chuckle: “Why didn’t you tell me?”

Floating down the hall, Magolor came to a stop in front of a particular door. "Here we are, just inside you can lie down, ok?" The door opened automatically, displaying the room inside. The room's only real furniture was a desk, chair, and bed. "You’ll feel better when you do, I promise." Beep assured them, guiding them to the door. "yes… better…" Hermit mumbled, false eye taking in the space.
"I know it's sparse in here-um, here's your bed, Hermit." Magolor decided against apologizing again, gesturing to it. "…bed..?" Hermit asked. "It's, a comfy place to rest." He explained. "It’s the best thing ever." Beep added, waiting for them to go towards the bed, just holding their hand at the door until then. "best…" They mumbled. If she said so, it had to be true.
Floating carefully over to the bed, they placed a hand on it. "See? Cozy." Magolor said. "soft bed…" Hermit replied, patting the bed a few times. "Yeah! And, it’ll help you feel better." Beep hoped. Nodding, the sick Matter flopped onto the bed, already beginning to relax. "better…" The Halcandran smiled behind his scarf. "Awww, I'm glad. Er, so I should probably give you some space." He realized, trying to let the feeling go.
The reminder made Beep flinch. "Yeah, me too. I guess everyone got so excited to see you we, forgot… heh…" She explained, unable to help but feel guilty. Hermit shifted, feeling the pillow under their head. Looking at the two, they spoke up. "….thank you…" They murmured. "Yeah! Of course!" She responded. It was the least she could do.
"Feel better, Hermit…" Beep told them. "try…" Hermit promised. "Just let us know if you need anything, ok? We'll hear you." Magolor reminded them. Beep nodded in agreement. 'Just use this!' She demonstrated, using her connection through their new hivemind. "ah…" They mumbled aloud, before trying to reply in kind. 'I w--l learn --w to -se this --y better.' They managed.
Beep glanced at Wiz. "And we can help you with that, too." She insisted. She still didn't understand why it was harder for them to talk through their connection. The Halcandran nodded. "We will. Just get some rest for now." Magolor instructed. He may not know, either, but he was going to find out. Backing out of the room, he waited by the door for Beep.
Giving Hermit's hand a squeeze, she turned to them one last time. "Feel better, okay?" She repeated. They squeezed her hand back as an answer. Finally, she let go of their hand, following Wiz to the door.
She gave them a smalll wave bye which they returned, getting comfier on their bed. The door closed, leaving them to themself again.
Hermit stared at the door for a minute, then rolled onto their back. They felt bad, yes, because of 'happy'. Even though it was a good thing. But their friends were happy, because they were there. So, they were a good thing? Beep promised it would get better, so they would just need to wait. And they could wait. They had waited to see their friends. The waiting would be easier now.
Staring at the ceiling, waiting, something else occurred to them. Beyond the sick feeling which was slowly going away was another feeling. Something new. Something, good. Hermit focused on it, trying to understand what it was. Slowly, it became clear to them. They weren't scared, not even nervous. They weren't certain they'd ever not felt a little scared.
But it wasn't just the absence of fear. It was a warm feeling, like the bed beneath them.
This must be what safe feels like.
