Summary: Joaquín Torres is living the (wet) dream when he moves next door to two famous pornstars and never imagines the day they'll invite him over.

Excerpt:

It's happening again.

It always starts with the low creaking, the soft thumping. Joaquín knows every sound so well at this point, the bed frame doesn't even need to hit the wall in the apartment next door. Joaquín can imagine it himself.

The tempo always starts easy and then it increases bit by bit and that's when the moaning start, the cursing, the hisses. Just thinking about what's to come makes Joaquín's skin burn hot all over. This happens every single night, multiple times a night.

A long moan sounds through the wall behind him. This is only the start, Joaquín braces himself as he unintentionally bites down on his lip and palms the front of his shorts.

His friends don't believe him. Honestly, the day Joaquín moved into this apartment and found out his next-door neighbors were the famous Sammy Wilson and Bucky Barnes, two of the hottest pornstars in the industry who also happen to be endearingly dating and living together in real life, he could barely digest it was real either.

He ran into them the first day he was moving in. Being young and basically broke, Joaquín was mainly moving himself. Lugging boxes after boxes of all his stuff left him a sweaty mess when he suddenly turned around to find the two well-known men standing in the hall.

Joaquín instantly recognized them and christ, they're even more attractive in person, Joaquín remembers thinking.

"Hey," Sammy Wilson breathed with a kind smile.

His partner, Bucky Barnes, was standing next to him and his eyes raked down Joaquin's embarrassing outfit of old high school track shorts, high socks, worn down sneakers and a baggy, plain t-shirt that was drenched in sweat.

Joaquín tried to will his face into anything other than an expression that screamed: I know who you are, holy fuck, I've jerked off to you guys so many times! Why are you standing in the hallway of my new apartment complex?

"Um, hi," Joaquín choked out, recalling a very not cool squeak that accompanied the lame greeting.

Officially, it happened in a hospital after that close call.

But unofficially?

Maybe it started when he started wearing suits to their Friday night dinners. Maybe it started when Bucky showed up at Sam’s door a month after the battle with the Flag Smashers in New York City, explaining how he wanted to move to Delacroix and was hoping he could stay with Sam for a week or two until he found himself his own place and just never left. Maybe it was when they stared at the sunset for a solid twelve minutes together at that boil. They didn’t even need words. They just. Stared at a sunset. For twelve minutes straight together.

Wow, Sam really missed a whole lot of cues that he was probably dating Bucky.

It had been a few weeks since Sam had officially started dating Bucky Barnes, though.

Hey, people! Remember when I said I had an idea for my “wrong number”, “bad pickup lines”, and possibly “blind date” choices from the poll I did over a month back that’s totally going to tie into my Sambucky Festive Season Bingo Card choice? Here's the fourth chapter of that fic! Enjoy! 🥰

For the Holidays

Summary: After Sam is dumped by his girlfriend, Bucky suggests he pretends to be Sam's boyfriend while Sam's visiting his family for the holidays.

“What do you say? Fake boyfriends?” Sam should probably say no. But Bucky was giving him these puppy dog eyes. This pleading to help Sam out. And Sam found himself reaching out for Bucky’s face – and squishing it too. “What the hell? Why not?” said Sam, the both of them beaming, “Fake boyfriend.” “Fake boyfriend,” grinned Bucky, all smiles and dopey.

The both of them snickered half-hard in the bathtub with the curtain on top of them as their water transitioned from hot to warm. “You okay?” asked Bucky into the bathtub, “Anything hurt?” “Just my dignity,” said Sam, assessing himself, “I think it might be time to get out of the shower.” Bucky nodded into Sam’s shoulder.

Those pumpkins flew everywhere.” This wasn’t happening to Sam. “Mr. Bucky, where should we put the pumpkins?” asked AJ as he and Cass held armfuls of pumpkins in their hands. “Oh. Uh. There’s a pile in the back,” explained Bucky as he released Sam’s hand and started to gather some of the pumpkins from Sam’s nephew’s arms, “I got these, don’t you worry – ” Bucky toppled over his broken booth again, and Sam knew it to be true. He knew what he had feared had come to pass. Sam wasn’t going to let it happen.

Such long lashes.” Sam felt… his heart skip a beat. Was that normal? Was he nervous? “Are you okay?” was what Sam ended up asking, because the boy really did take a nosedive. Blush bloomed on the boy’s face. Sam smiled at that. He wasn’t sure why. “Uh,” the boy started as he scrambled to grab the wolf head and placed it back on his head, “I’m good.” Sam extended a hand to the boy. “I’m Sam,” said Sam as he helped the boy out. “Bucky,” blurted the boy, “I’m Bucky.” “And you were looking for someone named Stevie?” asked Sam. Bucky’s hand was still on Sam’s. Sam distractedly thought it felt like holding hands. Sam let go of Bucky’s hand.

Lightning crackled when Sam opened the door. As if for dramatic effect. As if to warn Sam. The scruffy, sheepish face of a man on the lam before him. One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four Mississippi, five… Sam heard the boom of thunder. “That’s five blocks away, right?” asked Bucky over the roar of the rain, “You count the seconds for each block.” Bucky was drenched. Shivering like a wet, surprised cat. As if he thought being a super soldier would make him waterproof and recently went through a rude awakening. Sam snorted at the whole wet cat look of Bucky. Confused and a little annoyed by water he should have known fully well would soak him. “Five seconds means the lightning hit a mile away,” Sam said, amused. “Stop smiling at me,” grumbled Bucky halfheartedly. Sam grinned wider.

Sam heard the moans. The wet sound of teeth and lips and flesh. The ooze of blood into a mouth. She was writhing in ecstasy under his ministrations. Whoever the woman was. Paling in the moonlight, growing anemic with every slow suck from Bucky’s mouth. Bucky and the woman locked eyes with Sam. They were both lost in a haze of need. Bucky was a monster. He was. Blood poured from his mouth. Stained his cream-colored linen suit and satin peach button-down. Stuck in his five-o’clock shadow. Dripped from his long hair. His impossibly blue eyes were ethereal; captivating; insatiable. His pupils were still blown as he wiped the blood from his lips with a handkerchief, as the woman slowly slid down the bricks of the back-alley wall. She was still breathing. Her eyes fogged over. Sam shouldn’t want this. “Samuel,” Bucky drawled, still dripping blood.

Summary: Sam Wilson is an incubus. He's also asexual. It's... a little complicated, but not as complicated as you'd think. It gets a little more complicated when he meets Sarah's new neighbor, Bucky Barnes.

“His name’s Sam!” yelled Sarah from her porch. Sam realized Bucky or Chucky had taken his hand and they’d just been… holding hands like that. Sam stood up, pulling the man up with him. “Bucky!” blurted the man, “I’m Bucky. Would you – do you have any time to um. Do you like restaurants?” Bucky winced at the sentence. Sam smiled. “Do I like restaurants?” asked Sam, amused. “Or. Um. Food at home? Though, that’s kind of creepy for a first date,” mumbled Bucky before he got lost in Sam’s eyes again. Sam almost said yes. Without a thought. Which was horrifying. Some adrenaline junkie side of Sam wanted to say yes even more because of the stakes of it. But Bucky was Sarah’s neighbor. And things could get messy if Bucky reacted poorly to the fact that Sam was ace. He wasn’t going to do that to Sarah. “Ask me again another time,” Sam said despite himself, as he let go of Bucky’s hand and continued to his truck.

That was when Sam felt it. The sudden kick of his instincts flooding him like a wave. A change in the atmosphere. A shift in temperature. Sam zeroed in on one scent; pepper, bergamot, and amberwood engulfed Sam. He knew. He just knew where to look. And there, at the far end of the room, Sam found a man with the most intense eyes. Sam had heard about it. Knew that there would be a physical lurch in his heart as his and that of the man he locked eyes with became synced. Hearts beating as one. Sam had loved people. He loved Leila for a time. Riley. He loved Misty for a hot second too, as well as Ralph. Sam didn’t understand why it was never them. Written to fulfill square A2: Free Space - Round 2 of WinterFalcon Bingo from @winterfalconevents

Summary: Sam is a single dad raising his son Miles when a handsome man and his daughter move in next door.

Excerpt:

Sam's life has become a steady routine since Riley passed. Routine helps.

He walks his son, Miles, to the bus stop every morning, goes for his morning run, works on the boat half the week, then counsels veterans the second half. Interspersed with a dozen errands, school events, baseball practice, and playdates. Then he does it all over again the next week.

He's grown content since his grief has subsided. He's not alone. He has his son, his sister, and two nephews. He's not alone that's for sure but he does get lonely at times.

It's mainly at night since his seven-year-old has to go to bed much earlier than he does. Sometimes, he selfishly wishes Miles could stay up with him. They'd play games, watch movies, just talk. They'd have fun all night but he knows Miles couldn't physically manage that. The kid claims he could play video games into the dead of night but he promptly passes out at eighty-thirty every evening.

Dating is really out of the question. Sam's not ready to introduce Miles to anyone. He doesn't want his son to meet a rolodex of suiters only to be disappointed. Thus why he's only gone on two dates since Riley and they both ended after one dinner.

Most of the time, Sam's not even that affected by men. Sure, he sees them and registers if they're handsome but these days, it seems to end there. He feels no desire to act further and he's been content this way up until now.

Until the moment Sam's new neighbor catches his eye at first sight and the feelings that sprout inside of him unexpectedly linger.
