Married Lawlight Headcanons:

Pet Names:

Light: calls L 'dear'. 'Sweetie' if he's being passive aggressive.

L: calls Light 'honey'. 'My love' if he's in a good mood.

Cooking:

Light: learns it quickly. Makes great meals. He always wears an apron because he hates stains.

L: has never touched a frying pan in his life. He can't boil an egg (that's a joke. or is it? hehe). Probably could make something if he wanted to but the quality would be questionable.

Eating:

Light: eats like a prince. Even when he's alone. Excellent table manners.

L: eats like a gremlin. Practically shoves food into his mouth. Sometimes makes slurping noises just to mess with Light. It always works. If he's drinking tea and he hears something surprising/shocking, then he will spit it out. Light forces him to clean it up.

Sleeping:

Light: sleeps peacefully. Heavy sleeper.

L: suffers from insomnia (that's already canon). Light sleeper. Probably talks in his sleep. If Light is ever awake while L's napping, he gets startled by his mumbling. It creeps him out. He doesn't think he'll ever get used to it. He also kicks (capoeira!). Light isn't too bothered by it though, because he loves him very much (aww). Although he might push L off of the bed if he's in a bad mood and can't put up with that shit (don't worry, the floor is carpeted! or has a carpet, you choose. I hate carpeted floors tbh. I'm a carpet lover haha).

Kinks:

Light: wants L to worship his body, definitely (I AM YOUR GOD). Praise kink? I don't think so. He already knows he's perfect (his words not mine). Hand fetish? Yeah, why not. He loves watching L bite his own nails and fingers. Has to look away so he doesn't get a boner (LMAO). He likes choking L (hello, Kira).

L: foot fetish (I'm sorry but the foot scene lives rent free in my head. It's also a tag on ao3: L has a foot fetish. So, yeah. HE CANONICALLY KNOWS HOW TO MASSAGE FEET. DID WATARI TEACH HIM?? Maybe he did it to alleviate the pain on L's feet caused by the way he sits and L learned it that way). He will drop whatever he's doing to give Light a foot massage if he asks for it. Voyeurism perhaps (he stares a LOT). Knows how to use his tongue (I'm looking at you cherry stems tied in a knot) so he's amazing at giving blow jobs. Maybe biting? He bites a lot of things so idk. I think he would bite Light at least once. Just to see how he would react lol. Scent kink (Light smells great. Of course he does) steals some of Light's clothes just to sniff them. Light finds it endearing and reasonable (he knows he smells good. L taking his clothes only serves to stroke his already over-inflated ego). Likes being tied up (he handcuffed himself to Light for 100 DAYS. Kinky). So I think he'd be into handcuffs and Japanese rope bondage. Canon states that he takes on difficult cases to prolong the time he spends solving them. Because this way he's keeping himself entertained for longer. You know what that means. ORGASM DELAY/DENIAL! Don't know if he does it to Light but he certainly likes it when Light does it to him. Dacryphilia because he likes seeing Light vulnerable. You bet he licks those tears, baby! (definitely has a mug that says YOUR TEARS. In Cloister Black of course).

Sickness:

Light: tries to avoid L. Fails spectacularly. They always end up making out (if he isn't vomiting and stuff). L gets sick afterwards. Light nurses him back to health (has to gently coerce him to take medicine he doesn't like because it's too bitter, or eat food that isn't sweet). Sees it as a mild inconvenience.

L: doesn't avoid Light. Is grumpy, which makes him more sarcastic than usual. Overdramatic. Thinks he's dying. Being sick makes it almost impossible for him to sleep, which in turn makes him even grumpier. Wants to cuddle with Light but Light evades him very skillfully (rightfully so).

Bickering:

Light: will try to come out on top. Not looking for a middle ground (Thought process: I can't be wrong. I'm perfect!). Acts smug when he wins.

L: tries to de-escalate. Doesn't like bickering with Light. Feels bad every time they do. Doesn't care about winning, just wants the fight to end.

Cleanliness:

Light: neat-freak. He vacuums the house every day (no dust in his house, no sir).

L: clean but not as obsessed as Light. It's good that he always has his feet on whatever surface he's sitting, this way he doesn't have to lift them when Light is vacuuming or mopping the floor (isn't that great).

Bathing:

Light: in standard Japanese fashion, he bathes every day. Likes bath bombs (especially red ones, THE BLOOD OF HIS VICTIMS, YEAHHH! Maybe blue and black too because they remind him of L).

L: bathes daily too. They usually bathe together, unless one of them is sick or angry. Likes bubbles. Maybe he has a rubber duck (it would be cute).

Makeup:

Light: wears red (L's favorite color because he likes strawberries. My mental gymnastics are top notch, aren't they?) lipstick whenever he feels like it. When that happens, L always ends up having lipstick on his clothes and face.

L: uses nail polish from time to time (shown in Death Note 13: How to Read. Yeah, I know it's a joke but now it's a headcanon woohoo!). Very good at three-dimensional nail art (look at the comic panel, DAMN L. WHO TAUGHT YOU THAT?).

Things they like about each other:

Light: L's laugh. Will crack jokes endlessly just to hear him laugh. It makes him feel amazing. He doesn't know why. Was completely awestruck the first time he heard it.

L: Light's reactions. Seeing his face change expressions is entertainment for him. He will constantly try out/say new things even without meaning them, just to see how Light will react.

Things they don't like about each other:

Light: L disagreeing with him (Why can't you see that I'm right?).

L: Light's stubbornness (poor guy can't catch a break). It exasperates him.

Anniversaries/Birthdays:

Light: never forgets them. Always gets something for L. Either a present or himself wearing something naughty, or both (he canonically wears a corset at some point in order to carry the note, so, my headcanon is that he buys a few corsets once he marries L. He loves wowing him, feels a sense of accomplishment every time he does. He wears other things too, but corsets are his go-to. L has a thing for them, they look restrictive and he likes restraints so...).

L: has memory problems due to insomnia. Has to mark down a lot of things so he doesn't forget. Sometimes he ends up forgetting anyway. Light forgives him (because that's what good husbands do). Whether he forgets or not isn't of any consequence however, because either way, he will buy Light the best thing money can buy. The gifts are so extravagant that Light feels guilty. He tries not to show it, but L (being L, the world's greatest detective) can see right through him. L does everything he can to lessen his guilt. By showing him a lot of physical affection (all kinds of kisses, hugs, handholding, having him sit on his lap, caressing his hair and whispering sweet nothings into his ear).

What’s your most unpopular DN opinion? (It can be about canon, fanon the fandom)

This is a hard to answer question for me because I don't know that I have many unpopular opinions, or any at all?! So I'm just going to ramble a little bit at you. I hope this is the quality content you were looking for.

I am FAR from confident that my own characterization of Light and L is right, but I sometimes feel like my view of them is an unpopular one because I see different sides of fandom taking certain traits and pulling in totally different directions - Light is either dramatic with a hair-trigger temperament and ready for Violence OR he is very soft and fluffy. (Or, he is either constantly openly and shamelessly putting women down or actually a #feminist.) Same thing with L. L is very soft and gentle and full of angsty feelings, or (and I think the following is a view that some people have adopted as a rejection to the Uwu L ™ characterization that was king in the early days of the fandom, sjsksjd) he is a confident asshole with almost no consideration towards other people beyond what is useful to him to be able to solve a case.

But then of course I know this is a bit like saying nothing because all fandoms will do this to their blorbos, and all characters are more complex than you'd think from a cursory search through their Tumblr tag. I was discussing this with a beloved friend and she illuminated me by mentioning that fandom... just loves Drama and Heightened Feelings... People consume the source material and want more Feels out of it (especially media like Death Note, I'd imagine, which really doesn't spend more time than necessary dwelling on anyone's feelings) and so they take... Light having a yelling fit and make it a very prominent trait of his personality. Or L having a soft moment and fill him with soft feelings that are coming out all the time. Which is a reasonable instinct to have! even though I think the interesting part of those moments in canon is precisely the fact that they are extraordinary in some way.

So I AM saying nothing and this does happen in every fandom, and contrary to what that cursory search through any fandom tag would tell you, a lot of people certainly treat the characters with subtlety and pay careful attention to all of their dimensions. I mean, evidently, most people do it much better than I could ever hope to do!! (In my defense I have to say that if I stress myself out with writing Light and L properly in-character I will drive myself insane, so not doing it is Self Care for me). But, ah! hopefully this is still some sort of answer, anon!

The L thing bothers me more, because he is my beloved boy and because I think people insist a bit too much on the view of him as confident asshole who doesn't give a fuck. Cleverer people than me have discussed this, particularly in the Lawlight server in which I am, but L does in fact Give Some Fucks. I'm noticing it more now that I'm rereading the manga! A lot of soft little L moments are making me sort of understand why people back in the early fandom days really ran with that Soft Uwu L interpretation haha. It's not remotely accurate to reduce him to those traits! but it's not accurate either to reduce him to the opposite ones?

And I feel like the same phenomenon happens with Lawlight, My Beloved Ship. Sometimes it feels like, if people don't portray them as a very soft and fluffy couple, they can portray them as a couple that would be so toxic and unhealthy that they couldn't have a normal, loving relationship without mind games and manipulation always running through the undercurrent of it. Idk we all know these boys are crazy insane but I don't think they'd be quite THAT toxic!!

Rereading the manga has made me have the realization once again that (I think) L and Light honestly just fit together very well, and don't hate each other with nearly as much venom and intensity as one might think, and there's a lot of common interests and genuine mutual appreciation and fun in their relationship. Particularly in a no notebook AU where there'd be no need for 70% of their mind games of course lol, but it's also there just, like, canonically.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

1,047,840 words! I've been writing a while :)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

My main right now is pro wrestling, currently NJPW with some AEW :) . I've got a lot of different ones on there, but The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is still top with 33 fics

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

burn this city, my first fic, lawlight for Death Note. Nothing special tbh.

ghost in the machine, my first longfic and third fic, also lawlight for Death Note and also nothing special.

acute gifts, which was a Beth Harmon / Benny Watts knifekink fic. I got in the Queen's Gambit tag very early and so it rose to the top. It's not too bad, not in my top 10 of my own fics but definitely quite charming.

sword and the pen, my second fic, lawlight for death note, nothing special.

Oesterle's Derealization Claim, a Disco Elysium Mathematicians AU. Cherished fic and I am so glad and proud it climbed the ranks to be top 5 :)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Always! I love responding to comments, it's not always right away but I do get there.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Intentionally? flowers grown in forgotten lungs, probably. Like in a lot of ways, that fic is about L giving up, knowing he's going to die, and saying "fuck that, I'll burn all my ideals and drag as many people as I can down with me". I think other fics that I've written have hit people harder, especially the ones that I intended to make a happier followup and lost energy for it. But that one was meant to be absolutely gutting.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I'm going to go with the most recent one I'm proud of and say blueprint drift, which I'm sure is more melancholy than some other ones but idk, I love the story that's there, I love to see Takeover lowkey husbanding.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not generally, I can't remember if there was anything too egregious? I've gotten a few passive-aggressive "why won't you finish this" pleas but I tend to shut that kind of behaviour right down.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Hell yeah, though less than I used to. I really like writing new and weird scenarios and I've done a LOT at this point. Some of my top 3 weird ones were "skeleton threesome" "the cask of amontillado but it's kink" "spider/bat porn"

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

A few! My craziest is probably Blair Witch Project x The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Grey Desert Mythos. Still very proud of that fic!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No! I have had a fic chapter podficced though, which was a transcendent experience: Static Contact [podfic]

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

SO many. SO many. That's probably why my word count is so high hehe

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

HMMM. In practice my favourite is whatever I'm obsessed with at the moment, in which case Jaykada (Jay White / Kazuchika Okada, NJPW). By the numbers? Blondeyes (Angel Eyes / Blondie, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm pretty good about letting go of things I don't think I'll finish, so there's nothing I'm holding out desire for at this point. I have a longfic cooking but at present I do think I'll get it together for it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, strong POV, thematic intensity. People say my settings are very evocative/atmospheric, which is flattering since I worked pretty hard on those.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Humor. I always feel so awkward with clown characters. I don't really do plotty works in the conventional sense, but I don't think that's a weakness, more of just an intention.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

So funny, I'm working on a fic with that right now! I would say the my practice is to write the dialogue however the POV character is able to understand it, and however they parse it. In my mind if you speak the language or know a solid translator, it's all right to actually "quote the dialogue" in its characters for the reader who can speak the language. If you don't, probably best not to use machine translation and only stick to vetted phrases if you can.

For the fic I'm writing right now, it's a lot of fun because the Okada/Jay series spans different stages of understanding they have of each other's language. In the young lion era fic, Jay barely speaks any Japanese, and Okada has patchy English but he's sort of limping along. In the current WIP, Jay's Japanese is better, but not perfect, and similarly with Okada's English. So they sort of speak to each other semi-fluidly and the gaps in understanding are written in the text. So it's fun to think about how in the later fic, Jay speaks fluent Japanese and exclusively talks to Okada in Japanese to keep his language skills sharp.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

In another life, Batman. Specifically I was inspired by The Dark Knight but I based a lot of my work on the comics.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

My favourite fic is always my most recent, which was Shadow Gimmick (a FinJay Fic!). Barring that, the Grey Desert Mythos :)

Asking here so tumblr won't eat your replies in the meronia tag. Do you have any headcanons for them (or for lawlight) in an omegaverse setting?

both grateful to you for the consideration bc UGH!!! WHY IS IT EATING MY POSTS!!! and mildly horrified that i am going to blast this at 8x as many people as i would be blasting it at on my sideblog.

100% kidding. i already spent, like, three separate posts talking about spit at this point, so i think any illusion of dignity i once held is long gone.

however. to be totally honest with you i have spent approximately zero moments thinking about the omegaverse, and i will say i don't have any original thoughts for lawlight ever & have no intention of writing them. i pretty much exclusively enjoy them bc of the immense talent of authors within the fandom; i don't think i would have ever warmed up to the idea of them together otherwise.

so, having it out of the way that my skull is completely empty on this topic, allow me to seriously entertain it. there are a few things that i think work well about the trope, and a few things i think could be tricky. for example— the most obvious upside is that the dynamics give an obvious, easy excuse for characters to act on their attraction to one another despite whatever hurdles stand in the way, which make it an appealing option in some ways for meronia given the somewhat complicated vibes going on there (& there's i guess an opportunity for continued complicated vibes since it could be written to have them hook up before actually sorting through any of the “Mello being bitter as all fuck” shit gets resolved). second thing that i feel like fits nicely for them is the possessiveness aspect because. uhhh. Mello is very abnormal about Near in a lot of ways and imo that's Definitely One Of The Ways He's Weird. third reason that i can, like, see the appeal is that there's the built-in intensity kind of inherent to the trope, which again could be made more interesting and fraught by a persistently messy dynamic between them.

to me what makes it less appealing is that the very basic default dynamic in omegaverse is not one i find particularly compelling for Mello & Near. not saying that it's Bad or Wrong or Incorrect Writing or anything, just that it's not, like, my thing for them. i think the dynamic probably Could be done in a way i would enjoy, i just think it would have to be executed in a certain way. also i am going to put this in the clunkiest way possible bc it's late on my body clock rn (<- excuse; i'm actually just stupid) but like. something about the idea of Near being submissive due to Biology Reasons just kind of bores me idk. i very much enjoy writing him being into Mello bossing him around but i prefer for him to be actively kinda freaky about it tbh, and something about the Innate Biology Stuff of omegaverse kind of dulls that effect for me. maybe there would be a way around it, but that would be a possible sticking point in terms of interest for me.

all of this being said i definitely borrowed a tiny tiny tiny bit from omegaverse for i'm lost and i'm lonely (i hunger for you only) [which is, by the way, not recommended reading as i feel like i need to rework mello's characterization now that i'm more used to writing him, but it's still a concept i like a lot. if you go into it with the knowledge that it's a bit OOC (suspension of disbelief: Mello having a single ounce of emotional intelligence & self-awareness at age 18) then i imagine it could still be kind of a fun, short, highly incomplete read].

i pretty much just borrowed the idea of like, biting & bonding (bc it's. about Near being a vampire. hehe) but it's a T rated fic (... for now) so it's, like. not a sex thing idk. that being said, if i was going to write omegaverse for them (i do not see this happening bc i have a lot of WIPs i find compelling already) it would probably be with the same sort of setup in that fic (mafia Mello coming back to Wammy's bc Near is mysteriously/suspiciously super fucking sick & shit is looking bleak)

anyways. i'm sorry if this isn't what you were hoping for bc i didn't give you literally any headcanons but!! it was a fun question to engage with still, so thank you for asking it. also, final thought, Light is an omega. GOODBYE

“Well Y/N, like I said, until I can be 100% sure Light is not Kira, the handcuffs will stay on for monitoring purposes. I’m sorry, really, I know you’d like some alone time, but you can just pretend I’m not even here.”

“Pretend you’re not here?”

L nods innocently, apparently oblivious to how fucking weird it would be for him to just sit on the side lines while you have alone time with Light.

“Ryuzaki...no offence, but it’s pretty creepy to just have you sit there and watch while Light and I...Especially since you guys can’t really even move much without the other moving too.”

“Well, we’ll figure that out when the time comes, I suppose,” L sighs, “but I’m afraid I can’t take the handcuffs off. You’ll have to think of a solution- Light is a very smart man, I’m sure he can think of something.”

You sigh deeply, turning your attention towards Light, who’s fingers began dancing up your jaw, pulling you into a short kiss.

“Light, c’mon...”

“Hm?”

“Ryuzaki is right here...”

“Shh, it’s fine. You don’t mind, Ryuzaki, do you?” He looks at the man who sat quietly next to you.

“Me? Oh no, I don’t mind at all. Please, continue.”

Light moved his lips down to your neck, licking and sucking at the soft flesh. The chain around his wrist clatters against itself as he moves his hand to tightly grip your jaw, roughly moving your face to bring your ear close to his mouth.

His breath is hot against your ear as he whispers, “You know Y/N...don’t think I haven’t noticed you have a little thing for Ryuzaki...”

“H-huh?”

“Don’t think I don’t notice, the way you’re always touching his arm or lingering around him too long, bending over in front of him when you drop something. Is it to get my attention? To make me jealous, hmm?” You could practically hear his smirk through his words.

“N-no Light, I promise.”

“God, you’re such an attention whore. Wouldn’t you say, Ryuzaki?”

“Oh, well...” L purrs, throwing his arm on the back of the couch behind to you move closer, “I’d say I’d be flattered, if that were the case.”

“Well, if she’s so desperate for attention, maybe we’ll give her some attention, hm?” Light traces his pointer finger along your body, moving from your neck down to your collarbones, your stomach, and inching closer to the place you wanted him most. He gently rubs your inner thigh, not daring to touch you as a means of teasing.

“Mmm, I think we found the solution to our little handcuff problem...” L dances his fingers along your collarbone, softly making their way to your cheek and gently pulling you into a kiss. L was attractive, you’ll admit, but something inside your chest still felt a bit weary at L kissing you so tenderly right in front of Light. It’s not that you didn’t want it, no- you wanted this more than anything. Perhaps it was the prospect that Light would be dripping with jealousy, his ego hurt yet again by the detective; that the two of them would treat this as another pride game.

Light’s hands finally make their way under your skirt, pulling your panties aside and dipping a long slender finger inside you. You hear the clicking of Light’s belt behind you as he unbuckles it, folding it in half and smacking your backside with it, causing you to yelp. Light chuckles, “Mm, I love those pretty little sounds from you...”

Both L and Light pull their pants down slightly to pull themselves out, releasing the strain against their pants. L runs a few fingers through your hair, gently cohearsing you to look up at him as he gazes in your eyes with a slight smile. “Open that pretty little mouth for me...”

You flatten your tongue against L, slightly sucking on the tip of his cock before he pulls your head up slightly by your hair, spitting on you. “Don’t tease.” He says sternly. You nod meekly, allowing L to bottom out your mouth as he begins to thrust his hips into you.

Behind you, Light teases your entrance, slightly putting the tip of him inside you before bringing it back out in a agonizingly teasing manner. You whine around L loudly, desperate for Light. The vibrations from your sounds cause L to throw his head back with a throaty groan, moaning your name.

I can't say I have an "all-time" favorite because I tend to go from hyperfixation to hyperfixation... but some of those who stay with me are Promptis (FFXV), Kurodachi (Cherry Magic), Lawlight (Death Note), and since I fell into Kamen Rider recently I should add Ryusen (Build), Shouphil (W) and Ankh/Eiji (OOO)...

How many works do you have on AO3? 38 but one is a collab for which I only wrote one tiny chapter.

What’s your total AO3 word count? 377,780 words.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 1. Unintended - Death Note, Lawlight fix-it that starts in the Yotsuba arc 2. You can hear it in the silence - Cherry Magic, Kurodachi fic set post-canon because I just wanted more food 3. Something just like this - FFXV, Promptis modern AU filled with extreme fluff 4. I'm still yours - FFXV, Promptis fix-it 5. Tomorrow - No.6, Nezushi pwp... honestly not sure why this one is so high lol, it was my first work in years back then. But I guess it's soon going to be taken over by You electrify my life, a Promptis fic that's a lot better.

Do you reply to comments, why or why not? Always, even though I'm not always the fastest to do so and I feel very repetitive in my replies, but I always want to say thank you.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Well that's definitely If I'm dead to you, a Death Note one about L haunting Light as a ghost. It's super angsty and definitely doesn't have a happy ending, even though it is somewhat bittersweet.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? Lmao, all the others?? Idk, I guess maybe the ones that end with proposal/wedding, so that would be I'm still yours (FFXV, Promptis), Something just like this (FFXV, Promptis), I want you for a lifetime (Cherry Magic, Kurodachi) and Let's tell the truth, just for once (asking for an answer) (Kamen Rider Build, Ryusen) Yes I know I do proposals a lot and guess what - I'm writing a Shouphil fic (hopefully) so that's not the end of it.

Do you write crossovers? I want to say no, but does planning on writing a Kamen Rider one shot collection that might have the guys from Build, W and OOO interact at some point count?

Have you ever received hate on a fic? Hate, no. I did get weird comments sometimes, about like top/bottom dynamics which I don't care about so I was like, cool, whatever?

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? ...I do. A lot lol. But it's usually part of the overall plot, and even for the fics that are a bit more pwp, it's still more about the tension and relationship between the characters than the act itself (which I honestly don't really care about) So it's pretty vanilla, with a lot of teasing and/or bickering depending on the pairing.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I can recall?

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes!! I've had one of my Death Note fics and one of my Cherry Magic fics translated into Chinese and it made me so happy!!

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not really co-written, but I did a few fic/art collabs with @ikathemadhatter on Death Note fics and that was awesome!!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I don't have WIPs on AO3, it stresses me out if I can't finish. Usually if I post a WIP I have to be certain I'll finish it. I do have a RP on hold and I feel terrible about not being inspired already aaaaah.

What are your writing strengths? Eeeeh I don't know. As someone who is prone to self-deprecation, this is a hard question lol. I guess introspection, and bickering?

What are your writing weaknesses? Description. Omg I hate it. Also coming up with an elaborate plot that's not just an excuse for my faves to get together lmao.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I am partial lol. I have seen some weird French stuff sometimes that were there to look cool/classy but as a native it just sounded odd because it obviously came from a google translate thing. If you're bilingual, knock yourself out. Otherwise, there's always a chance someone native of that language will read and feel weird about it. As for me... I don't think I will do it. I hate writing in French, and I'm definitely not good enough in Japanese to try it.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? Soooo that was Stargate SG1 back when I was like 15, very badly written fics in French posted on old geocities websites haha.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? I don't think I have a favorite (and I'm also very bad at picking one thing anyway), but... I guess I really like You can hear it in the silence (Cherry Magic) because it made me super happy when writing it and I had just gone through a super dark phase... which, speaking of, If I'm dead to you (Death Note) was written during my dark phase, and as it turns out I really like it too.

OK LET ME PREFACE THIS BY SAYING I HAVEN’T BEEN INTO ANIME SINCE 2014 AND I AM JUST RECENTLY GETTING BACK INTO IT!! BUT

- DEATH NOTE (netflix, crunchyroll, funimation, kisscartoon)

it follows a guy named Light Yagami who discovers that a shinigamai(god of death) dropped a notebook into the human realm and that whoever’s name is written in it will die(and you can specify how, if you’d like). it shows how he becomes sort of a vigilante to put criminals in place. he is then under suspect as the killer by L, a smart and elite person who works with the police and has never lost a case.

seasons: 1 total episodes: 37

RATING: 10/10!!!

warning: violence/murder, major character death but like thats expected, religious themes(i guess), light swearing

fave characters: matsuda and L are high up there...as well as Mello, Mikami, and Gevanni ships: i mean the most common ship is Lawlight(LxLight) but i think my main are lawtsuda(L x matsuda), mikalight (mikami x light), mikanni (mikami x gevanni), and mellodramattic(mello x matt)/nearlymellodramattic(near x mello x matt)!!! remisa is also cute:( notes: i just spent all my money on the manga! i’m so excited to read it!!!

- SIRIUS THE JAEGER (netflix, probably kisscartoon but i havent looked)

the main character, Yuliy Jirov, is the last of his tribe (he is a sirus. so like...sorta like a werewolf) and he is set to revenge his family’s death as a jaeger(hunter. but like. a vampire hunter) but it turns out his brother, Mikhail, is alive and was turned. the main goal of the plot is to find and also somehow protect this thing called Ark Of Sirius , which is sort of like sacred power that was given to Yuliy’s tribe, from falling into vampire hands.

RATING: 10/10!!!

Dracula sends creatures of the night(? literally don’t know another way to describe them. uh. monsters?) to attack the cities of Wallachia because they killed his, albeit human, wife (her name is Lisa)because they thought she practiced witchcraft. It follows Trevor Belmont, the last son of the Belmont family (a family that basically killed these creatures + vampires); Sypha Belnades, a badass speaker magician; and Adrian ‘Alucard’ Tepes, the son of dracula. their goal is to end the war against the human race. It also shows Dracula’s side of things and follows the two humans that are on his court, Hector and Isaac (they both denounced humanity because of their bad upbringings/experiences)
