i feel like people say "abuse is always intentional and a choice" because it helps them believe that they haven't and will never abuse someone so long as they believe abuse is wrong.

Do you think every abuser woke up and thought "today I will abuse someone on purpose"? Probably some of them, but not all. Some abusers genuinely think that abuse is just how relationships work. Sometimes kids abuse other kids before they grow up and realize what they did was fucked.

If you decide that abuse means "person intentionally abusing another", what about people who were abused by people who weren't intentionally abusing them? Is that not real abuse?

I'm not saying that you shouldn't be angry at your abuser. I think you should be angry at whoever you want to be angry at. But I think looking back at your actions and checking "was what I did okay? how did my actions impact the people I love?" is very important, especially for people with NPD, where having issues understanding how your actions impact others is a symptom.

Having NPD makes forming and maintaining healthy relationships way harder. I would know. It's also way harder to control emotional outbursts while you're having one (and emotional permanence issues mean once you stop having one, it's hard to imagine what it felt like).

Introspection about why you did the things you did, if/how you hurt someone you care about, trying to make it up to them, and minimizing the chances that it will happen again, are very important. In "npd abuse" spaces, this introspection is usually shut down by "well, if you think you might be a narcissist, you're not one". But I think this introspection can be very helpful, so long as the introspection doesn't begin and end with guilt/shame.

Spoilers for Shadowheart's romance under the cut --

Romancing Shadowheart as Karlach makes this first scene even sweeter in case you were wondering. Like.... look at that face

Fucking adorable. Also this little bit of dialogue gets me a lot :

Because I just love the comparison between them having hidden spots that they used to visit to be alone. Shadowheart (when you play as her) as moments that she just barely remembers things and the hiding spot really is one of the very few things she remembers, at least at this point.

And the fact that Karlach can't actually touch her adds a hint of yearning that makes me want to eat drywall. Karlach kinda laughs it off when you romance her (though is much sadder about it if you speak with her later) but it's much quieter when you play as her. She hasn't been able to touch someone gently in ten years! And now she has someone that wants too but can't because she'll hurt them.

10 out of 10. This romance is cute as shit and I will die for this ship. Shadowheart keeps calling her sweet and Karlach will call her darling when you click on her. I need the fandom to get behind this ship right now.

Now that I’ve seen four different Transformers cartoons I thought it might be fun to rank the mainstays.

It’s been an interesting (and frustrating) experience! I’ll probably watch CyberVerse at some point, and possibly 2015’s Robots in Disguise, so I might update at some future point.

An increase in global oceanic temperatures and the presence of pollutants have caused some populations of Mareanie to become susceptible to a deadly virus, mirroring the fate of their preferred prey species, Corsola, in the Galar region. This virus weakens the Pokémon, stunting development and preventing evolution into Toxapex. Some members of the dwindling population are able to evolve into the rare Phantopex, the Wasting Star Pokémon.

The body of a Phantopex is weak and frail, with much of its tissues having wasted away to nothing. It forms new arms from otherworldly energy, and crawls along the sea floor in search of prey to drain the life essence from. If it finds a hapless victim, it will ensnare it by enveloping them in its many ectoplasmic arms, twisting in on itself to keep them in place until the deed is done. Divers know to keep an eye out for dark sludge on the sea floor, as a trail of the substance suggests a prowling Phantopex may be just out of sight.

The way I have most often heard the progression of the illness described is the sea star appears to be “melting.” They will also twist and contort their bodies to rip their own arms off.

realistically the reason why bad hasn’t sent skeppy any letters is probably because he doesn’t know What gas station skeppy is stuck in and therefore can’t write a mailing address but also i fully believe if he wrote “gas station” as the mailing address that would 100% somehow work
