Love the contrast between the Americans’ “Apollo” and the Soviets’ “Sputnik.” You got the Americans naming their rocket after a Greek god trying to communicate the grandness and importance of this rocket. And you got the Soviets naming their rocket “fellow traveler.” Like a friend you go on an adventure with together. This rocket is our little friend lol

ok i'll say it vash is a pacifist but he isn't passive. he does stuff. i think it's pretty unfair when ppl reduce his ideology to "he doesn't kill so he just lets ppl get away with stuff" i mean he's not perfect but he hardly just lets terrible people off with a slap to the wrist

I get so delighted every time I run into a random lavos in the wild
I get to see him a disproportionate amount (I use him a lot + sib also used him a lot when they got him + the only warframe content creator I watch is a lavos main) and he is genuinely So Fuckin Good, so i regularly forget the fact that he's not all that high up in useage stats
And then sometimes i see one and it's just lots of "same hat!!!" pointing even when i'm playing a different frame

tbh i think that there are two varieties of enemies to lovers when a lot of people consider there to only be the one and thats like. 90% of "are toxic ships valid" discourse. bc everyone who isnt really in the toxic ships business tends to think we all view every toxic ship as an "ok they both hurt each other a lot but what if they would grow past that" ship. yeah theres enemies to lovers that ends in a really sweet relationship and thats fantastic! but some toxic ships really are just toxic. theyre fun because theyre toxic. because exploring character dynamics is fun. something like that

Why do you think people wants Sasha and Anne to be always fighting each other? Just this last week I saw: the fanon Sashanne is bad because Sasha isn't a bitch to Anne, Anne is mis characterized as a damsel in distress and being "small" in comparison to Sasha so her saving Anne is bad, that they are a bad written Catradora, that they would never work without Marcy in the relationship, that people always give them bad break ups and that Season 3B Sashanne is bad because they don't fight 🤷♀️
honestly I think it's just based off of two things I've seen in the fandom over and over: 1) they throw a fit when Marcy isn't involved and 2) people are dead set on this idea that Sasha is abusive. Sashanne is a very wonderful ship but it's also the most complex out of all the trio ships, so it... is not surprising that a lot of people just want to see it burn. you're talking abt a fandom that, like a lot of other cartoon fandoms, thinks primarily in black and white. ofc they're not going to want to see a friends to enemies to lovers arc, they're going to want it to stop at the enemies part. especially since Sasha never seemed to be truly remorseful about his actions until s2/s3; he was kind of just fucking shitty. which is. literally normal. sometimes you are just a shitty person before you get better. but to people who cannot understand nuance to save their lives, this means he is abusive and that he should always be a bitch to Anne or else it's out of character

As is the way of things I went to work on removing glue from my jacket today and it was a lot easier and I realised there was a lot less work to do than I thought and now it's at the 'actually yeah this is as good as it's gonna get' stage

Remake of an older ask: who is the most Eastern European coded BG3 companion?
I think the obvious answer would be Minsc since Rashamen is supposed to be vaguely Slavic. But also I don't think DND as a setting is at all super concerned with cultural differences in a way where it says anything worthwhile or particularly interesting (as far as ik it's just a lot of vague racism imported from Tolkien's work). So even in this (politically refreshingly not ducking stupid) game cultures are simply not really explored as much. The stories are much more... Personal. So it's more difficult to vibe check like that lol.
That being said Gale is a Greek man to me (based on his earnest horniness and general intimacy w him but also his name is vaguely Greek lmao) (well eastern Roman iirc but pretty close). Also Cazador's last name is one letter different from the Hungarian word for shit so I guess Astarion gets to be eastern European by association lmao.
