introduction to the blog!
Hello! I’m the creator of this blog, you can call me Saz. My pronouns are they/he/it and I am 16 years old. I’m an aquarius!! I have psychosis, depression, BPD, and anxiety. I’m also neurodivergent.
This blog is about my danganronpa V3 AU, hence the blogs name being ‘Postgame-Propaganda’.
This AU is mainly about Tsumugi Shirogane (who I will occasionally call Homura, this is explained in the lore).
This AU is around 2 years old, however I was pretty self conscious about my writing at that time and didn’t share it on tumblr.
I’ll mainly be posting art on here along with other lore things. Feel free to leave anons so I can draw out the characters reacting to them!
The characters that are used in this AU are:
Tsumugi Shirogane (Homura)
Shuichi Saihara
Maki Harukawa
K1B0/Kiibo
Himiko Yumeno
Kaito Momota
and Kokichi Ouma.
I’m a beginner artist and so my art/designs may not be the best but, we all start somewhere, right?
The AU itself features mentions of Death, survivors guilt, Hallucinations (Tsumugi has psychosis), depression, and possibly more things (Ill add if needed.)
The whole premise of the AU is: What if Tsumugi chose her own destiny?
Basically, what if Tsumugi had a change of heart and decided to stop the killing game. Going against her own writing?
To put it in more detail, after the death of Gonta she decided that she had enough. Although she wrote things to be this way she didn’t know how much of a toll it would take on her. She came clean to the remaining students about everything. They had a retrial and Tsumugi was found guilty. Before the execution, however Kiibo blew up the school. His reasoning being that nobody with hope should die, and since Tsumugi had hope she didn’t need to die.
He blew up the school and himself, saving Shuichi, Kokichi, Tsumugi, Maki, Kaito, and Himiko. After that Tsumugi parted ways with everyone else. She went to a pissed off team danganronpa and helped them edit the show. Basically, changing the events to appeal the audience. So, in all actuality everyone was still alive but in the show more people had died.
Tsumugi then stayed to rebuild Kiibo and once that was done she announced that she’d be leaving the company for good. This was allowed but they tied her down and put a shot in her eyes, ‘marking her’.
This shot made it so that the roman numerals for 53 replaced her pupils. (V was shown in her left eye, 3 shown in her right.) in an attempt to fight back she ended up losing an arm and having to get a prosthetic.
After these events she deletes any accounts that ties her to her old identity as Tsumugi Shirogane, burns her danganronpa cosplays, starts to wear purple contacts, and changes her name to Homura. She starts to attend therapy where she is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), severe Depression, and Psychosis. She is given medication for it.
She doesn’t leave the house a lot due to her paranoia and makes cosplays for people as a way to earn money.
She lives in a two bedroom apartment with Kiibo (partially).
She eventually finds Himiko and she tells Tsumugi how much of a hard time Shuichi has been having due to Kaitos disappearance. She asks if Tsumugi could help find Kaito and Tsumugi agrees.
They proceed to go on a wild goose chase to find Kaito and after sometime, they find him!
The experience brought them all closer together, and so they end up becoming roommates and friends again! That’s pretty much the summed up version of the AU. If you want all the details then follow the blog ;]
Tsumugi and the rest of the cast are supposed to be 19-23 years old in this AU as this is supposed to take place a couple of years after V3.
Tsumugi, Shuichi, Mukuro, and Junko are all (half) siblings from Tsumugis dads side of the family. (In this AU V3 takes place 5-9 years after THH and in this AU Junko and Mukuro are both still alive.)
The only canon ships in the AU are Kaito x Shuichi and Tsumugi x Angie (They dated before Angie was killed). There is implied Homura x Maki though !
That’s all really! Stay tuned for more!
Also, have a random sprite edit I did of Homura.

Worthy (Saiouma)
Saiouma “Are you sure you want to get me a gift?” from the Winter Writing prompts list for Anon! I haven’t worked with post-game Saiou for a while, so I figured I’d go back to it for this one-shot. I hope you like it and let me know if you would like anything changed/edited :D
*Based off of this request*
Title: Worthy
Prompt: “Are you sure you want to get me a gift?”
Summary: After being discharged from the hospital, Shuichi decides to start a tradition where he sends a gift to the others. Kokichi is hesitant about getting a gift from Shuichi, especially after everything that happened in the simulation.
One-Shot Notes: Post-game AU where the killing game was a simulation and nobody actually died; Where the Lillies Bloom is a fictional manga that exists in this universe only along with the characters Takeo and Hana
One-shot is under the cut!
“You want to do what?” Maki questioned.
“I was thinking of buying gifts and sending them off to everyone.” Shuichi replied.
Shuichi, Maki, Kaito, and Kaede decided to get together after being released from the hospital to have some coffee together. Kaede was excited, saying that this would be their first time hanging out since being discharged.
“Oh, that sounds like a neat idea!” Kaede chirped.
“Yeah...I wanted to at least do something nice for everyone and buy them something.” Shuichi explained.
“So, wait. When you say everyone, you’re not possibly including Ouma in that, are you?” Kaito asked.
Shuichi bit his lip.
“Well...that is...” he trailed off.
“No way, bro. You’re actually going to give him something?! After all he did during the simulation?!” Kaito exclaimed.
“Momota-kun, it was just a simulation. For all we know, that might not even be his true personality.” Shuichi explained.
“That doesn’t change things! He still did some messed up shit like manipulating Gonta into murdering Iruma, so therefore, he doesn’t deserve anything!” Kaito barked out.
“I...actually agree with Momota-kun, Saihara-kun...” Kaede bit her lip as she played with the ends of her hair. “He’s done so many terrible things. I don’t think you should get him anything.” she said.
Maki scoffed.
“He should have just died during the simulation.” she stirred her coffee. “What scum.” she bit out.
Shuichi gripped his coffee mug in his hand tightly as Kaede changed the subject to something lighter.
They’re all still bitter towards him...they’re not like me, who’s seen just how much this simulation has affected him, he thought to himself.
He recalled the screaming, the sobbing, and the pain Kokichi went through as repercussions of the simulation and his death within it. He could tell that he had been traumatized by what happened and while he was working through it on his own, his struggles with it would show.
Then he recalled the many things he did while in the simulation, ranging from provoking Maki to the manipulation of Gonta along with his mastermind stunt where he kidnapped Kaito.
He bit his lip.
He has done some horrible things, I won’t lie, he thought to himself.
He sighed.
Maybe I won’t get him anything, after all.
💜💜💜💜
Okay, screw this. I’m going to buy him something.
Shuichi found himself at the department store, picking up various gifts for Kaede and the others. After picking up a velvety red purse for Kaede, he took out his phone and dialed Rantaro’s number. He brought the phone to his ear, waiting for Rantaro to pick up. Then, it clicked.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Amami-kun? This is Saihara.”
“Oh, Saihara-kun! Hello. What’s up?”
“I actually wanted to ask a favor of you.”
“A favor?”
“Yeah.” Shuichi stopped in the accessories department, going through some scarves. “Do you have Ouma-kun’s phone number?” he asked.
“Ouma-kun’s number?”
“Yeah. Do you have it?”
“I do, but...why do you need it?”
“I wanted to ask him something. I’m buying gifts for everyone this Christmas and I want to ask him what kinds of things he likes.”
“I see...well, I’ll send his number to you. But, I’m not sure if he’ll actually answer it or not.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, he’s still trying to recover from what happened in the simulation, so I don’t know if he wants to have anything to do with us right now...like, he’ll talk to me, but I don’t know about the rest of you guys.”
“I see...well, I’ll still try it.”
“Okay. I’ll send his number to you. But don’t expect anything.”
“I’ll try not to. Talk to you another time, Amami-kun.”
“Yeah. Have a good day, Saihara-kun.”
“You too.”
Shuichi hung up soon after. He picked up a checkered infinity scarf as the text from Rantaro came in. After putting Kokichi’s number into his phone, he dialed it and brought it to his ear.
Please pick up, Ouma-kun, he silently prayed.
He frowned upon getting his voicemail.
I guess it really wouldn’t be that easy, huh, he thought to himself.
“Hey, Ouma-kun. It’s Saihara. I got your number from Amami-kun because I needed to ask you something. So, please call me back. I would really appreciate it.” Shuichi said.
He hung up with a sigh. Then, he shot a look at the scarf he picked up.
Should I even pick this up? I mean, Ouma-kun doesn’t seem to want to answer his phone. Not only that, Kaito and the others keep insisting that I shouldn’t get him anything...is it even worth it, he asked himself.
He eyed the scarf, silently contemplating whether or not he should pick it up. Then, he dropped it back on the rack.
Maybe I shouldn’t, after all, he thought to himself.
As he got ready to head over to a different department, his phone rang. He looked down at his phone and his eyes widened upon seeing Kokichi’s name flashing across the screen.
He’s calling back?! Oh my god, he’s actually calling back, he thought to himself.
He quickly swiped to answer and he brought the phone to his ear.
“Hey, Ouma-kun!”
“Hey, Saihara-chan. Wasn’t expecting you to get my phone number, let alone actually want to call me.”
“Yeah...you see, I wanted to ask you something.”
“Oh yeah, you did mention that in your message. What’s up?”
“Well...I’m doing Christmas shopping for everyone and I was just wanting to know what it is you like so that I can pick out something nice for you.”
Silence answered him. Shuichi frowned at this.
Why is he so quiet, he asked himself.
“...Are you sure you want to get me a gift?”
“Huh? Uh, yeah, I am sure.”
“Like, you’re really sure?”
“Yes, I am. Is there something wrong with that, Ouma-kun?”
“...No, there’s nothing wrong. You said you wanted to know what I like, right?”
“I do.”
“Well, I like checkered patterned things. Anything that has a checkered pattern on it, I will immediately like. I also like the color purple and grape Panta. I like kittens...oh, I also like sweet things like chocolate. Oh yeah, I’ve been wanting a scarf to wear. My neck feels pretty bare without one around my neck. But yeah, that’s all I can think of.”
“Alright...” Shuichi reached for the scarf again, running his fingers along the material. “Sounds good. If it’s alright, may I have your address?” he asked.
“My address? Sure. You’re going to send it, right?”
Shuichi picked up the scarf and put it in the cart.
“I was actually going to come to you in person and give it to you. Does that...bother you?” he asked.
Silence answered him once more. He heard shuffling and rustling before Kokichi spoke again.
“No, it’s not a problem. You can do as you wish.”
“Okay. Well, I’ll see you in a couple of weeks, then.”
“Yeah. See you then. Bye, Saihara-chan.”
“Bye, Ouma-kun.”
The phone clicked, signaling that Kokichi hung up. He brought the phone away from his ear and stared down at the screen, a smile spreading across his lips.
I guess I’ll be getting something for him, after all.
💜💜💜💜
Shuichi found himself in front of an apartment door with the number 212 on it two weeks later, a small gift bag in his hand.
Ouma-kun lives in a place like this, huh, he thought to himself.
He reached up to knock on the door.
“Hey, Ouma-kun? It’s me, Saihara.” he called out.
A couple of minutes later, the door opened a little and Kokichi poked his head out.
“Oh...hey, Saihara-chan...” he trailed off.
“Hey...” Shuichi trailed off as he began to observe him.
He had on a white turtleneck sweater with leggings and a pair of fuzzy light purple socks. His hair was as wild and wispy as it usually was and he wore makeup, which he probably used to conceal the slightly visible dark circles under his eyes.
Kokichi’s eyes traveled down to the gift bag.
“I see you brought the gift.” he commented.
“I did.” Shuichi replied.
“You can just hand it to me.”
“You won’t invite me in?”
“Do you want me to?”
“Well, I...”
Kokichi released a sigh.
“If you insist.” Kokichi opened the door a little more. “Come in, then.” he said. Shuichi nodded as he spoke.
“Excuse the intrusion...” he said as he stepped inside, toeing off his shoes.
As he put on a pair of slippers, he heard Kokichi call out to him.
“Please excuse the mess. I haven’t gotten time to clean up recently.” Kokichi told him.
“Okay.” Shuichi replied.
He walked into the living room, seeing that there were papers everywhere, ranging from pages out of a coloring book to newspapers.
Man, he wasn’t kidding, he thought to himself.
Kokichi motioned for Shuichi to sit down on the couch as he headed into the kitchen. Shuichi sat down and looked around the living room.
“So, how long have you been living here for?” Shuichi asked.
“Three months. Before that, I was living with Amami-chan.” Kokichi replied.
“I see...” Shuichi trailed off.
That was when he spotted a sketchbook sitting atop the coffee table. Curiosity got the better of him and he picked it up and flipped through the pages. His eyes widened in surprise at the characters drawn inside along with the panels of various scenes.
“This is Takeo and Hana from that manga Where the Lillies Bloom...did you draw this?” he asked.
“Yeah. Takeo and Hana are my characters. I made them.” Kokichi replied.
“For real? So then, you’re Kouma Kitahara?”
“Yup! That’s my pen name.”
“No way...” Shuichi stared at the sketch of Hana in a strawberry patterned dress, her black hair pulled into two ponytails by strawberry-themed scrunchies. “Akamatsu-san really loves this series! She reads it over and over again as if it’s the only manga out there.” Shuichi explained.
“Does she now...” Kokichi trailed off.
He poured some coffee into two mugs as Shuichi spoke.
“I never knew that you could draw.” he commented.
“I realized I had a knack for it during the rehabilitation process. It was very therapeutic for me and I used drawing as a way to express what I was feeling at that time. I also started writing stories to go along with my drawings and eventually created Takeo and Hana along with Where the Lillies Bloom. When I was discharged, Amami-chan suggested that I get all of my things together and get it published. So I did and now it’s pretty famous.” Kokichi explained.
“Is that so...” he trailed off.
He set the sketchbook down as Kokichi came into the living room with the two mugs of coffee. He handed one to Shuichi and sat down beside him.
“So? Where’s that gift you got me?” he asked.
“Ah, it’s right here.” he handed Kokichi the gift bag. “You can open it if you’d like.” Shuichi said.
“Okay.” Kokichi replied.
He set his mug down and took the bag from Shuichi, pulling the stuffing paper out of it. Then, he reached inside and pulled the scarf out.
“Oh wow, it’s a checkered scarf.” he said.
“I remember you saying that you wanted a new scarf, so I got you that one. It’s also checkered patterned.” Shuichi explained.
“I can see that.” Kokichi’s lips pulled themselves into a small smile. “Thank you, Saihara-chan.” he said.
“Oh, there’s a card for you in there, too.” Shuichi said.
“There is?” Kokichi questioned, setting the scarf down and reaching inside for the card.
He took it out of the envelope and looked at the front of it before opening it, reading what it said.
Ouma-kun,
Merry Christmas! I hope your Christmas is bright and fun and, well, merry! I believe that it’s times like these when you show appreciation for the people in your life, which is why you give each other gifts. So, I am showing appreciation for you.
I know that things have been hard for you ever since we got out of the simulation. Everyone else has pretty much shunned you for your actions in the simulation when really, you’re not manipulative and cruel like the simulation made you. Under that mask you’ve created, you’re strong and determined and a very fun person. Deep down, you are an amazing person. And I am grateful for your existence in this world.
I want you to know that you are worth getting a gift from me. You are worth being able to hang out with me. You are worth everything in this world and deserve everything that this world has to offer and then some. No matter what happens, I will be here for you. I will help you up when you stumble, I will help you rise when you fall, and I will wipe away your tears when you cry. Remember that, Ouma-kun.
-Saihara Shuichi
Teardrops fell onto the card, tears blurring Kokichi’s vision. He choked out a sob as he spoke.
“S-Saihara-chan...” he choked out, reaching up to wipe away his tears.
“I meant everything that I wrote in that card. I plan on sticking with you forever.” Shuichi told him.
This only made Kokichi cry harder. Shuichi reached out and pulled him into a hug, Kokichi burying his face into Shuichi’s shoulder. He held onto him, rubbing his back soothingly as he waited until the tears stopped flowing.

How about Rantaro, Shuichi, And Kaito having a love suite dream with their s/o talking about their relationship for the past few years and asking if they want to go further into their relationship?
Tumblr media
This anon is tryin to make me loose my innocence… How dare they, if this ask didn’t make my heart feel the way it does I’d be annoyed. This is a bit late because I had a bit of trouble but I tried very hard for this one!
~Mod Himiko
Under the cut for Suggestive Themes and Length!
Shuichi Saihara
The relationship you shared with Saihara was perfectly comfortable as it was, but you couldn’t help and notice that your own lingering stares towards the quiet detective aren’t completely innocent anymore and that satiating yourself with delicate kisses only caused you a craving need
Unfortunately, the situation you couple found yourself trapped in was a less than preferable scene. Shuichi is, however, significantly more at ease with you at his side. That isn’t to say he’d rather you here with him than safe somewhere else because he’d gladly suffer through this quirky game for you, but he can’t help but have soft feelings whenever you were with him
Luckily the robotic bear didn’t seem to inflict any harm and although his constant lingering and shrill voice got bothersome fast, Monokuma never seemed to single the participants off.
One exception of this was when Shuichi practically summoned the sadistic thing the following night after attaining an odd item called the ”Love Key”. Before he knew it, Saihara was pushing open an over-the-top red and pink door to an equally over-the-top heart themed bedroom. After he got over the searing velvet and rose shades in his eyes, he noticed the room was occupied by a seated you on the edge of the centered bed
You’re not even into your proposal, heck, you haven’t even spoken yet your boyfriends face heats up at the sight of you. And even Shuichi seems a bit put off by his own fluster, but he’s still attentive to your every movement and nervous shifting of your eyes. Never a wrong time to do what he’s good at and observe apparently
Saihara decides to give you a soft greeting before joining you on the bed, beckoned by the hand patting the fabric near you
“Sorry for calling you in here so suddenly… but I have something important to talk about…” you start, “It’s about our relationship.”
For a moment his heart leaps in his chest but then he takes a moment to realize that you ideal scenario probably wouldn’t be breaking up with him. Although he may doubt himself, Shuichi is capable enough to realize that you love him just as much as he loves you. Even so, he can’t figure out exactly what it is you’re leading to and doesn’t want to get ahead of himself so he instead gently encourages you to continue
Sahara’s chest does all sorts of flips as he watches you expression turn oh so loving when you describe how well the past few years with him have been. He genuinely smiles at how comforting it feels to be around you but the grin drops slowly when you take on a more serious look and take a deep breath
“ And well…” you gently grasp his hands and gather your bearings. “I was wondering if we could take our relationship to the next level?” You finish by locking your eyes with his, which hardly settles his now pounding heart. Shuichi’s eyebrows shoot up and his wide eyes seemingly beg you to elaborate further, which you do
When you turn over onto him, straddling Saihara (maybe more bold than you usually are but this dream has endless possibilities he guesses), his mind practically blanks yet he still manages to almost immediately draw his hands to your thighs. Even through surprise, Shuichi can’t seem to tear his gaze from yours. A mumble of your names on his lips as you start to lean forward, closing the short space between you
“Can we go all the way together?” you ask, pressed against Shuichi enough that he can hear your soft question reverberate through him. His chin lifts just a little, eye-lashes meeting for a quick moment as a shudder thrums through him
If this is what he’s experiencing because of your want, then this must be what you’ve been thinking of recently, right? Why he’d notice your eyes raking over him more often or why the already affectionate kisses you shared were always filled with more passion…
Shuichi barely holds back a second shiver, now very aware of your warm body against him, every heated breathe you take… He soundlessly wraps his arms around your waist and with a certain spark, finds your eyes one last time.
It’s when he moves in close enough that you foreheads are touching that Shuichi allows himself to answer your question. You find that hitches in his breathing becoming more noticeable when he’s nearly melting against you, pale lips delicately meeting your own
Kaito Momota
The boisterous (but not quite yet an) astronaut takes any chance he can to show his overwhelming love for you! He’s especially fond of wrapping and arm around your shoulders while you lean against him, which gave you many open opportunities to discuss your relationship with him, but you always chickened out at the last moment or just happened to get interrupted by his own confident coos
Such affection didn’t tone down even though you two found yourselves trapped in an odd school with other Ultimate students. Charming nights often were taken up by the two of you in one or the others room, holding each other with dorky smiles on your face, talking about everything and anything to take your minds off the negativity, basking in the company of a loved one
Now, Kaito is a bit thick when it comes to hints, but he had at least had the same kind of thoughts cross his mind a few times, even if he never voiced them
On one night, one where he had one of his less innocent fantasies of you fill his mind, Momota was soon to begin living it out with you
Honestly, he was hesitant to use the Love Key he somehow received. The stars he wishes to float amongst one day must have been perfectly aligned for him to have actually won anything that required any gambling skills
But it’s not like he’d be complaining later
He doesn’t think of turning back when he’s met with the intimidatingly loving door, but he does have some concerns. Of course, they all melt away when he opens it and sees you
“Hey, (S/O)!” He calls, already happy to see you. Almost ready to engulf you in a comfy and familiar hug. Kaito forgot for a moment the rules that came with this dream but after quickly remembering them and his grin became a softer smile and he instead patted your shoulder and took a seat on the bed near as you followed suit. He wasn’t sure how your fantasy was going to play out but he was sure he could handle it, it’s you after all!
Kaito savoured the way your expression brightened up from your previous, more on-edge one. You greeted him too, albeit, softer than the way he had. Momota calls you out on your insecure demeanor, telling you that whatever is on your mind shouldn’t bother you now that he’s here and rubs soothing circles into your back, focused on lifting up your mood
After a bit of you relishing in the gentle attention, Kaito listened to you open up about your few-year relationship, slowing down his movements until he settled for simply leaning closer to you
Sometimes he’ll give nods of acknowledgement or short but spunky agreements at any mentions of the nicer moments you mention. He’s content to listen to you speak your mind and doesn’t worry a bit as to why you’re going over the topic of you both together. That being said, he still isn’t worried when you tell him how you want to experience more with him. Kaito is, however, somewhat taken aback. For a moment, he glances away from your eyes with furrowed brows while he scratches the back of his head.
“Oh, uh… you don’t mean?…” He finally says, bringing his arm back down and questioning you for clarification. Momota wants to know if he’s actually on the right track and not making any hasty assumptions. He doesn’t mean for his response to come out as if he hoping he’s wrong, he really does want the explanation first.
This deters your dream-self though, and he snaps to the reality once more that he’s supposed to be going along with everything you want. In realizing this again, his toothy grin returns much larger than before, optimism really shining through over how your desires in this love-hotel are transferred from your actual desires. He’s really glad that he listened to Monokuma for once
“I mean yeah! If you’re ready, I am too! (S/O) I’m glad that you told me all this because I really am excited, you know?” He’s hardly embarrassed, but the red on his ears presents his readiness to experience it all with you
Just as extra oomph, to show you that he’s telling the truth and nothing but the truth, he leans in close placing his hands on your waist and pulls you in for a passionate kiss where you can feel his every emotion just burning against you
He can’t wait to meet you again in the morning
Rantaro Amami
Rantaro has always been an affectionate lover, never one to shy away from cuddles and kisses as well as always seeming to move at a comfortable pace. Although he made the first-moves in the relationship, it just hadn’t felt like he caught on to your hints about going up another step in your romance
You still found yourself being pressed against his body more often that not in cuddles, his almost teasing eyes smiling at you mysteriously before chasing your lips with his own; much more intimate than your earlier snuggles with Amami, but there was just something even more intimate on your mind.
Unfortunately, with him making the all the moves before you, it was a difficult subject  to bring up. Fortunately though, your slumber was apparently a perfect palace of wish fulfillment, despite your lack of knowing so
Rantaro found himself fiddling with the oddly shaped key in his hand, running his fingers over the metal with calloused fingers after the surprise visit from Monokuma, not doubting his curiosity, but instead his motivation. It couldn’t hurt to go, he supposes after moments of quiet contemplation. Idly making his way to the hotel with a cleared and calm mind, his sense of adventure tingling just a bit
He almost sighs at the sight of the door, amused at its complexity and bubbling colours, had one of his younger sisters designed it? It looked like a child’s art project for their puppy crush on Valentine’s Day. But perhaps he’s thinking too hard over a door. Or maybe, in spite of it all, Amami was at least a little bit on edge. Unconsciously refusing to letting that show when he unlocked the door and stepped inside
He immediately smiles at you, kind enough to make your curiously warm face even pinker. Rantaro notices your hands are rubbing together and remembers he’s meant to play a certain role, specific to your supposed ideal situation. And so he breaks the ice with a question
“Hey (S/O), how’re you?” simple enough that it should eventually lead to something about what you want. He’s confident he can conform to your desires with a few hints, you shouldn’t be too different from your conscious self so Rantaro decides that he knows you well enough to understand what’s behind any twitch in your finger or shaky smile
Your answer is simple, “Good,” and he makes his way to your side before you continue, both of you finding yourselves on the bed. “I just wanted to talk if you’re wondering why I asked you to come in here…” you explain.
“Oh? What about? I’m all ears.” He encourages you with another smile, happy that he didn’t have to pry far and risk things getting out of hand or too awkward.
Rantaro doesn’t fake his nods and affirmation when you start conversing with him about your relationship. He intently listens to what you have to say, picking out that this scenario was indeed, referencing the real relationship you shared
By the way you glance at him every so often, obviously nervous and the flushed expression on your face, Amami isn’t worried about where you’re going. If you have an oddball fantasy, he’s okay with that. You don’t seem to be the type for any deal-breakers and he’s naturally relaxed enough that your babbling is just another cute feat to witness to him
Rantaro can tell this is leading to something and his heart is teetering over beating just a little harder than usual, especially when your voice drops to a lower sound and just more than a hush, ah, he truly is enamored with you
“So because we’ve been together for so long… I-I was wondering if…”
When you pause, there’s a short time of quiet and from the corner of your eye, you can see him looking at you with relaxed eyes. He’s unable to help but lean in and cradle you. Wrapping one arm snug around your lower back, and the other cupping your cheek. You feel the warmth of his hand so clearly there, and the scarlet hue dusted on his cheeks confirms his own spark of embarrassment, although Amami has a smoother way of handling it
“If I want to take a sensual step in our relationship?” He finishes for you, words hot against your neck before pecking it, softly brushing his lips against the sensitive skin. Rantaro finds himself adoring your next breath is a shaky one and that you’re prone to curling your hands into the fabric of his shirt. His familiar teasing smile is back on his face, more loving than you’re use to“
I’d love to, of course.” And he’s means it. If this is what you’ve been having in mind, then he’s elated you’re comfortable with him and that this is your ideal situation. Amami thought about it himself but never jumped at the chance to show it. He wanted you to tell him whenever you felt ready, but this was a too perfect way of finding out and he had to take the chance
When you wake up in the morning, he wants you to remember this night, even if it’s only a dream, Rantaro wants you to know that this is something he wants too. As he presses you gently against the bed, there’s no possibility that you couldn’t feel his burning desire for you as well

potential trigger warning
Shuichi Saihara
He had a hunch that something was up
Wearing long sleeves almost all the time, having a habit of crossing your arms....
It was just a thought that floated in the back of his mind.
He noticed your sleeve falling down as you went to pick up something and saw the gleaming contrast of stark white lines against darker, fleshier skin.
He...looked away once he saw you looking, awkwardly fidgeting with his hands and his gaze downcast.
“You can ask.” You said.
“Huh?”
“About my arms, I’m sure it’s been killing you.”
He frowned. “Yeah, but I don’t want to make you uncomfortable...”
“If you are I’ll let you know, okay?”
He sighed, but nodded, leading you to sit down.
It’ll be a long conversation, with Shuichi trying his best to paraphrase some...touchy questions.
Ex: what made you do this, are you still doing it- and most importantly-  how can he help.
Please be patient with him, he has your best interest in mind.
Amami Rantarou:
When it comes to Rantarou’s problems he’s always very secretive and unwilling to speak about whats going on. Almost like Ouma.
But when it comes to his s/o’s issues, he’s got that covered.
But when he realized you had self-harm scars he....didn’t know how to approach this.
He could always just bite the bullet and ask up front but...he feels like that
would end badly for the both of you.
He decides to hint at it occasionally, and every time you questioned him about it he immediately let off of the pressure.
This back and forth cycle continued on for a couple of weeks, before you finally did’t let any more of it slide.
“Just say it to my face, Amami, what do you want to know?”
“Why you’d decide to scar yourself.”
You falter for a split second, and Amami is already apologizing when you shush him.
“Its fine, you deserve to know.”
So you tell him why, or when and how it all started, where you’re at right now and what’s on your mind about the future.
“I really was concerned about you, and I wasn’t sure of how to bring it up, sorry.” he places his hand on yours, comfort evident.
He makes an oath to help your out anytime you need it, so you won’t have to suffer anymore.
Kaito Momota:
VERY VERY UNSUBTLE.
At first he asks, “Hey s/o! What are those scars you have on your arms from? They like from a fight or something.”
Your face whitens, “Uh...something like that?”
“Well when did it happen?” Kaito over here has no idea that these were caused by
“It...Kaito I really...” you sighed. “It’s not like what you think.”
“What is it then....?”
You explain it to him, and as you keep talking you can see the confused yet excited look slide off of his face like a greasy egg in a pan.
And he just, psychically can;t say anything, he’s actually breaking out in a sweat.
“Doesn’t that...hurt..?”
“In more ways than one.”
“Then...why?”
He starts blaming himself, asking if he wasn’t good enough, if he couldn’t make you happy.
He’s not happy about it, he has to leave the room because his emotions are getting the best of him.
Things are....awlkward, needless to say, for a while.
He does want to help it just...he feels weird about it, the idea of you hurting yourself...it sends a shiver down his spine.
He’s a bit selfish during this, and he knows and he hates it, because you should be the one being afraid if anything, not him.
But it’s new to him, and he’s terrified of this new way he has to think about you (because it is, he;s always thought of you as happy and cheerful)
It’s a change of his perspective, and it’s rocky at first but you two will work through it together.
Kiibo:
He’s confused when he first sees them, and asks if you’ve been in contact with any gerbils or cats lately.
A really, really feral gerbil or cat.
Because what else could cause so many scars and marks?
Due to his misconception you just...let him think what he wants for a while, until you’re comfortable with telling him
And so for the longest time Kiibo goes around telling everyone that you’re being attacked by wild animals daily.
Unfortunately, Ouma eventually finds out about this, growing quiet when you enter a room, vague hinting at it sometimes.
You’ll be having a conversation with him just a normal, before his demeanor changes and he says. “How long are you going to keep lying to Kiibo?”
He then reverts back to his bubbly self, pretending like nothing happened.
From Ouma’s “encouragement” and your guilt from not telling Kiibo, you decide to tell him once and for all.
And at first he’s confused, until you bring up you’ve done it to yourself.
“Oh, self-harm and hatred, usually caused by anxiety or depression.”
He takes it surprisingly well, reassuring (or boasting on his part) that he was always searching for causes from external parties, not internal.
He isn’t very...delicate, when it comes to talking about emotional subjects like depression, etc, but he understands it, and knows the steps to take in order to help you.
Just...call him out when you feel uncomfortable, and tell him what he needs to do, he’ll adapt very quickly, and if anything, you’ll be closer by the end of it.
Ouma Kokichi:
He always had a hunch that something was up, but for the life of him he could never figure out what.
He’d try and pry the information out of you, but when you don’t even know what you’re asking someone to confess it makes things difficult.
So he sat, and schemed for a while, helplessly waiting for a clue to pass by.
When he does get this clue, it’d from another person, Kiibo, Maki, Kaede- someone who’s close to you.
And he’s shocked, and feels betrayed.
Not because you didn’t tell him, but because you told someone else before him.
He know its petty for him to think like that but he’s too busy being jealous to think of anything else.
His whole meaner around you will change, hawk-eye- staring at you as you walk into the room, giving hints that you should probably just tell the truth to him, basically everything he can do physically without actually having to straight up ask you.
This method takes too long, so finally he just decides to ask you “Do you not trust me enough to tell me the truth.”
He’s a big walking hypocrite, god knows that he’s not one for telling the truth to anyone.
He’s fed up with the situation , and mostly himself that he just gets up, makes an excuse and leaves.
The next time you talk to him it’s to talk things out and explain why you told others before him.
He’s angry, but it’s not anger at you, at himself for not being able to protect you, to make you think you couldn’t tell him.
He’s crying, actually fucking crying because he thinks of the pain you’ve gone through just because he was stupid enough not to put two and two together.
You reassure him it’s not his fault, that you didn’t want him seeing you so broken, he’ll still blame himself.  “I love you, I don’t want you to ever, ever fucking forget that.” He clenches his teeth. “Okay?” his voice quavers, and the night is spent close together, tears being shed and bodies shaking.
Korekiyo Shinguji:
He’s a calmer, quieter reactor.
He never wanted to pry into it, as he knows that there are things people just want to keep to himself.
When you do tell him he thanks you for trusting him enough to share him with that information
He gently asks what was the cause behind all of this, and suggests other methods to vent your feelings.
Like painting or drawing on yourself, slapping yourself with rubber bands, he even discuses the idea of going to a therapist.
And if you want other methods of pain, there’s pleanty.
(Aka, more sexual, and delivered to one by another person, not drawing blood or a lot of it at least)
Overall he’s very supportive, willing to do about anything if it means helping you.
he adapts very quickly, and nothing has changed between the two of you.
Gonta Gokuhara:
Just like with most things, he’s clueless and can’t wrap his head around it.
He’s just always assumed those marks were from an animal or thorn, some outdoor elements.
The first time he actually considers that it might be something else, he assumes someone has hurt you, and freaks out.
When you get him to calm down, and reassure him that no one has hurt him, he’s relieved,  but still a little puzzled.
When or if you do tell them that the marks are self-inflicted he honestly doesn’t understand why someone would want to hurt themselves.
You have to teach him that there’s people who...are in a lot of pain and do things because of it.
By the end of it he doesn’t understand the psychological element behind it, but understands that you’re in pain, which makes you do it.
So, to help out , he asks you what he can do to help you not be in pain.
They range from mundane things, making sure the bed is comfy, that your shoes are the right size to more complex tasks, talking about your feelings and giving gentle head-pats, telling you he loves you.
Ryoma Hoshi:
He tapped your arms and thighs. “You too?”
You looked confused, he clarified, biting his candy cigar.
“You have so much pain in your life that you need to cut it out of yourself to numb you, fight fire with fire as they say.”
You gulp, he releases your arm. “It’s alright.”
He pulls up the sleeves of his jumpsuit. “I know that you’ve been through.”
Tears well up in your eyes, biting the bottom of your lip, quivering.
He opens his arms, and you dive into the, letting all your dark thoughts and releasing it.
He coos into your ear, doing his best to hush your cries.
He stays with your for as long as you need after that.

Amami does not have romantic feelings for anyone. Kodaka himself confirmed in the artbook that Rantaro can only express brotherly love for people. There is no way in hell that he fell in love with Shuichi and less with Kokichi. The closest character that you can say that are in love/ have interest with is Kaede, like it or not. Stop being so deceived about your impossible ships. Your word is not worth more than Kodaka's.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Good day anon! Whoa, I’m surprised to see this the firstthing in the morning (I think this is my first anon/ship hate hhhh)! But worrynot, I’ll happily explain why I shipped Oumami and AmaSai, so prepare your popcorn! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
(This will be kinda long because I rarely talk about myships, & THIS CONTAINS NDRV3 SPOILERS!!)
Firstly I’ll apologize if I focused more on Oumami, it’sbecause they’re my ultimate OTP at the moment hahaa Xa
First off that part about Amami can only express brotherlylove for people in the artbook, I think it actually refers to his fondnessabout his sisters, because as we all know he’s really worried about them andhence his priority is to save his sisters. So I actually think it made senses when forced to do a killing game, his only worries was to get out there assoon as possible & saving his sisters, and romance is not his utmostpriority there.
Tumblr media
As you can see the term here is actually imouto(littlesisters) love, so imo the artbook here actually is not making point about his brotherly love for any peoplebut his sisters only (Because when I looked for fraternal love google refers it as 兄弟愛/ kyoudai ai & not imouto rabu? so i think this term is exclusively for his lil sis, which invalid your excuses that this section talks about his type of love for other people). But no worries! Actually as seen in otoges there’s usually the big bro type, and I think he’ll suits that type hahaa.
But what if the killing game isn’t commenced? Then theprobabilities broaden! I think many ndrv3 fanarts are actually based on what if they survived / lived happily scenarios, and I’m sure fall for that trope too. Well I like to think because Amami’s a brother of 12sisters, he’ll be more attentive toward someone who’s younger–looking, in thiscase Ouma! Imo Ouma knows one of his strong point is he kinda looks like achild, so he can use his looks to his advantage wwww So this is just my own hc,but I think Ouma will keep pestering Amami (about his talent or anything rly),and because Amami doesn’t remember anything (or probably being cautious atfirst) he’ll dodged the questions. Ouma kinda doubts that, so he’ll keepsticking near Amami all the time. And although at first Amami was bothered, inthe end he can’t help but being weak when Ouma goes all cute & adorable, sohe’s fine with Ouma being around. And that will branches into them getting toknow about each other more, that even in the end they’ll grow closer & probably comfortable enoughto share about their pasts ;w;
Even if they’re in the killing game, I also like Oumamidynamic! Ouma likes interesting thing, moreover mysteries & ofc he’sinterested to solve the mysteries around Amami, being an amnesiac and all. Evenwhen Amami’s gone, Ouma was still determined to solve the mysteries behind him, judging by how he knew about Amami’s safe combination & such. If Amamilives longer, I think somehow he’ll be the only person that gets how Ouma’s wayof thinking is….  For example in thetrial when Ouma states his statements that riddled with lies, the only personthat can comprehend & decipher the truth from those statements is Amami. Amami being the cautious person he is probablywon’t say anything outright too, and Ouma knowing the clever boy Amami is certainlywill enjoy digging more informations out of him. Heck, they even shared thesame goal to find the mastermind by themselves, so probably if they somehowrealized the others are not a threat they even can cooperate together __(:’3__
ALSO FUN FACT ship doesn’t need to be about interactions all the time!!It can be about their complimenting/contrasting designs/personalities, or maybe you just think the pair look nice together? Sure, ship them if you feel like it! Here are some my favorite tidbits that make me got moooore interested in Oumami :http://rosesoma.tumblr.com/post/153133450929/do-you-know-why-we-ship-oumamihttp://rurukandy.tumblr.com/post/156478379296/i-know-that-amami-and-ouma-didnt-interact-at-allhttp://oumakokichi.tumblr.com/post/168624564590/okay-so-youve-mentioned-that-ouma-might-have
So imo even they barely interacted in the game, it’s interesting how we can imagined how will their interactions be together based on these infos that actually kinda hidden & needs extra attentions to find! (*sigh* Kodaka, why would you waste such a potentialinteresting pairing development T_T)
For Saihara, because at first he doesn’t look thatconfidence I think Amami want to boost Saihara’s confidence too. Like there’s amoment where he told Kaede to stop teasing Saihara, so I think Amami actuallywants to protect him too hahaa!
Also I think you should already know about dangan salmonteam ends, but Amami asking for Saihara’s help to find his sisters by going ona trip around the whole world for their whole life?? Man if that ain’t a proposalthen I dunno what it could be ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Then all of my drawings about Saioumami? Well I loves imagining their interactions, like Amami taking care of the 2 boys & doing silly things together~ But y’know, just because I ship & draw them doesn’t automatically make them canon, & even so I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t enjoy this ship! I can ship anything I want even if they’re not canon, & tbh I’m still quite confused why you’re so fixated that I should ship pairing that (probably) is canon ._.
Well I respect every ships you know, & I think it’s quiteclear that I’m a multishipper! I likeAmamatsu (they look cute together!), and I even think Amami & Toujou lookgood together! But if this is your way to forced your otp/hcs onto me, I thinkthis is not the best way to do it….. Pls don’t make other Amamatsu shipperslook bad ;_;  If you hc Amamatsu or Amamias an ace I’ll totally respect it, but please respect my opinion for shipping Oumami and AmaSai too!
And I don’t think Oumami is impossible (except the factsthat they’re uh… y’know… ded) since we don’t really know how Amami & Oumawill interacted if they’re both alive & not forced to do the killing game, and for AmaSai? Hoooh boy Amami asking Saihara to go on a trip around the worldtogether for their whole life doesn’t sounds gay, suuuure ;)) But if you keep insistingthey’re impossible…. Y’know, as creators we strive to make the impossible topossible! That’s also why au and hc exist!  So don’t worry, one day I’ll surely draw my hcsabout Oumami~ (╯✧∇✧)╯
Also my words doesn’t worth more than Kodaka? When I evenever forced everyone that they should ship Oumami or AmaSai…? I rarely eventalk about Oumami because I only know a few people that ships them, that’s whyI just… draw Oumami… And hoping to found more shippers… ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )  Or do you think when I said I ship Oumami thenthey suddenly will become canon?! Gooosh you think too highly of me anon! >///
So that concludes it! I’m sorry if some parts are poorly worded / come off as aggressive/offensive,but I tried my best to make my wordings polite enough, and personally I thinkit’s even too polite to actually show my frustrations wwww Also rest assured, I’m not trying to attackany ships or anything!
Also anon! Wouldn’t it be nice if we just respect each otherships and headcanons? I think it’s nice enough we have interests in a samefandom, so won’t it will be really nice if we all can get along? So basically a ship DOESN’T NEED TO BE CANON, LET’S JUST SHIP WHAT WE LIKE & DON’T ATTACK OTHER PEOPLE IF WE DISLIKE THEIR SHIPS! I mean, do you think some random ship hatecoming outta nowhere will make someone’s day better? Of course not! (´;ω;`) I hope in the future there’ll be lessdiscourses about shipping because I’ll always in the stances to let peopleenjoy what make them happy (as long it’s harmless)! ^^
If you reached this far then thank you for reading my rambling! Also Oumami and AmaSai and Saioumami BANZAI!!! \(*゚∀゚*)/

Hi, I wanted to rant a bit to you about people who hate on Ouma without understanding what type of character he is. I saw some people call him overrated and "useless to the plot", while just generally overlooking the type of impact he had to the game. One person even said he was only useful to chapter five and the rest he's just an annoying character. I got really mad towards these people but I didn't want to say anything because I get scared and shy easily. I thought you might listen to me :)
I understand your frustration—andthe getting scared and shy bit too! It can be overwhelming in a fandom as bigas DR to voice opinions on the games or the characters because as with any bigfandom, there are going to be a lot of differing opinions and the fear ofbacklash can be pretty intimidating. That was one of the reasons I was actuallynervous about starting up this blog in the first place, although thankfullyeveryone’s been very kind and welcoming to me since I did so!
I can understand why peoplemight not like Ouma as a person. In fact, I think it’s pretty understandable.Ouma does do and say very horrible things after all, and even though he has hisreasons for doing them, that doesn’t excuse them, nor does the narrative orOuma himself try to act like it does. I personally love him as a character andfind myself super interested and invested in everything he does, but I canunderstand why other people might not be able to put aside their personaldislike for the kinds of underhanded tactics he uses or the things he says inorder to like him.
However, I do think it’s alsotrue that there’s a certain degree of dislike associated with him in thewestern fanbase right now that’s almost entirely a result of: 1.)mistranslations and false information, and 2.) a certain association with Oumaof being “Komaeda 2.0” and a dislike for how popular he is without realizing oracknowledging why he is so popular. Isaw quite a lot of backlash here on Tumblr for Ouma in the days following thefirst results of the Japanese popularity poll; many people seemed to assumethat Ouma’s popularity was either “rigged” or an “annoying” result of him “justbeing a fan favorite even though he’s so horrible.”
I certainly don’t want to tryforcing my opinions on anybody. If people don’t like Ouma, they’re absolutelyfree not to, and that’s okay with me! People have different taste incharacters, and I can understand why people wouldn’t like or approve of Ouma’sactions. But saying that he’s “useless” to the plot or “doesn’t do anything,”or even questioning why he’s so popular when that poll was specificallytargeted towards Japanese people who have actually played the game (and didn’tneed any translations to do so or have any fake information) seems, in myopinion, to be missing the point a bit.
Ouma is central to the entire plot of ndrv3. He’s one of, if not the, mostimportant character to the main story (yes, even weighing out over Saihara andTsumugi in my opinion). People don’t have to like him, but these are the facts.Disliking Ouma won’t make him any less plot-relevant or important to thenarrative, nor will it change the fact that his themes as a character arelargely one and the same as the themes of ndrv3 as a whole. In a game that’sall about lies and especially about illusions or fabrications getting acceptedas reality, it’s not really a coincidence that the character most well-knownfor lying in the entire game happens to be as popular as he is.
Trying to discount Ouma’simportance to the story and the narrative would be like trying to say thatKirigiri was unimportant to the events of dr1. Similar to Kirigiri, Ouma is afigure who is neither a protagonist nor an antagonist, but a central figure touncovering the mysteries of the story, someone who fights behind the scenesagainst the mastermind/ringleader the entire time. Like Kirigiri, he refuses toput his trust blindly in people, even at the cost of making himself looksuspicious or unlikable (people tend to rather forget the fact that Kirigiriwas not well-liked by the dr1 castuntil very late into Chapter 6).
More than that, Ouma is the most central figure in keeping the groupalive. Without his diagrams, drawings, and plans, the group would never havereceived the items essential towards uncovering secrets and helping them accessmysteries within the school. The electric hammers, electric bombs, bug-catchingjar, and other items he had Miu make were the only reasons the group was ableto get as far as they did in later chapters.
Very much like Nanami in sdr2,Ouma as a character is essential to trying to keep the group alive—and even intrying to get them to work with one another instead of killing each other. It’sjust that where Nanami was a leader figure by encouraging them all to trust inher and in each other, Ouma worked in the opposite way, encouraging them toband together by putting himself up as an easy target to hate.
I could list all the ways inwhich Ouma’s actions are central to the plot or where he keeps the group aliveor functioning, but that would probably take far too long. Just to list a few, starting from Chapter 2 and onward, Ouma is the only one who recognizes thatMonokuma shows up to try and give them an incentive to kill each other wheneverthey start talking about friendship and cooperation. His calculated façade of “enjoyingthe game” and trying to stop everyone’s warm and fuzzy speeches about workingtogether are much more for the sake of trying to keep Monokuma at bay and thegame “more entertaining” for the audience than because he actually enjoys beinga force of chaos. Ouma’s “chaos” is actually exceptionally calculated, andalways targeted at ending the killing game.
In the Chapter 2 trial, he isthe only reason the trial doesn’t completely trail off with no one knowing whothe culprit is. He provides vital clues and hints about the fact that Kirumiwas the only one who could have done it, all while trying to act as if he’s nothelping. And had the whole group actually carried out his plan to get them allin one room and watch everyone’s motive videos together and discuss them, it’svery likely that a murder would’ve actually been avoided, or at least deterreduntil later on.
In Chapter 3, again Ouma is themost notable source of clues and hints which were necessary to keeping the groupalive and well. The only reason Saihara even participates in the kagonokoritual at all is because Ouma asked him to switch places with Kiibo. HadSaihara not been present, he would’ve had no way of knowing about any of theevents that took place directly at the time of Tenko’s murder. Ouma presentedhim and the rest of the group with clues about the kagonoko ritual book afterthe fact too, and was the only one tonotice the floorboard trap being set in all four rooms, not just the one whereTenko was killed (and he made sure to present this clue to them even though itgot him a literal concussion).
Ouma is the driving plot forceof Chapters 4 and 5, for better or worse. He does awful, morally questionablestuff, he says horrible things, he gets two people killed—I’m not really surehow anyone can actually play through ndrv3 and understand the text fully andsay Ouma is “useless” or “unimportant” to the plot here. It’s perfectlypossible to go through Chapters 4 and 5 not liking Ouma, hating him even, butthere’s not really any way to deny that he’s a central figure to the plot bythat point.
Not only that, but more andmore information keeps coming to light about him even after he’s dead and gone.Uncovering the truth of his moral code and his honest desire to end the killinggame is one of the most tragic things about Chapter 6, and it’s his trail ofbreadcrumbs which leads Saihara and the others to Amami’s lab, which helps themuncover the whole truth about the 2-person rule and the killing game show’scycle to keep repeating.
Ouma’s actions are full ofintentional ambiguity and riddles; he’s constantly challenging not only Saiharabut also the player themselves to see if they can decipher what’s true and what’snot in the things he says. The whole point of a second playthrough with anygame, and with a mystery game like ndrv3 in particular, is to go through andtry and spot what you missed on the first playthrough, to try and see whichmysteries are being foreshadowed or alluded to early on which might have flownright over your head when you were playing before. There are the obviousmysteries to decipher, like the truth of the outside world, Tsumugi’s status asthe ringleader, etc.—but there’s also Ouma himself.
Ouma is so undeniably importantto moving forward the plot of ndrv3, to Saihara’s growth as a protagonist, andto the themes of truth, lies, and the huge moral grey area that spans betweenthem. It’s entirely understandable to not like him for personal reasons or tofeel that he’s annoying out of personal dislike, but trying to trivialize hisimportance to the narrative or acting as if his unpopularity with otherportions of the fandom is unwarranted just because of personal dislike towardshim suggests a lack of understanding of what the real themes of ndrv3 were allabout.
I haven’t seen nearly as muchdislike for Ouma coming from members of the Japanese fanbase who have actuallyplayed the game fully. This isn’t definite proof of anything of course becausepeople’s tastes in characters will still vary due to individual preference, butit does suggest that playing the game without relying on preconceptions, fakerumors, and mistranslated information will give you a different perspective onOuma’s character and behavior.
Anyway, I’ve talked for longenough probably. Again, I can understand your frustrations anon! But all I canreally say is that it’s okay if people don’t like a character. It’s veryfrustrating when character hate gets tagged or made extremely public, moreso ifit seems like these people haven’t actually played the game yet for themselves(I track Ouma’s tags and I’ve seen similar stuff on a pretty regular basis),but it’s not really worth starting any kind of argument about. I started thisblog because I wanted to be able to provide people more accurate informationand clarification about the game and its characters—if I’ve managed to do thatmuch at the very least, then I’m happy!
Thank you so much for stoppingby! I’m always willing to listen to people in my inbox, and I really do find itfun to write about and discuss these kinds of things!

Jealous on Main (Saiouma)
Jealous Shuichi request for Anon! I figured I’d post this before heading to bed, seeing as I finished it about an hour or so ago. I hope you like it and let me know if you would anything changed/edited! :D
Based off of the request below:
Tumblr media
Title: Jealous on Main
Summary: Shuichi has a crush on Kokichi, but feels like he doesn’t have a chance with him, so he watches the supreme leader from afar. However, the more he sees Kokichi interacting with a certain green-haired male, the more jealous he gets...
One-Shot Notes: This takes place in Prison Mode, where the students choose to coexist with each other for the rest of their lives rather than participate in the killing game; I may or may not have thrown in another one of my personal headcanons where Kokichi calls Shuichi “Shuu-chan” because he gets embarrassed easily whenever he says Shuichi
One-shot is under the cut!
Having a crush on someone like Kokichi Ouma was quite the experience, Shuichi realized.
The supreme leader was a total enigma, making sure that he kept his heavy facade up at all times as he spun his web of lies and caused mayhem among the rest of the students at the Academy of Gifted Juveniles.
Even so, Shuichi found himself falling for him.
It was those rare moments where he would let himself be vulnerable around him and those genuine smiles and laughs that came up once in a blue moon that had Shuichi utterly head over heels for him.
But, it didn’t seem like the supreme leader felt the same way. Sure, he would casually call him his “beloved Saihara-chan” and say that he’s fallen for him, but he would always say that it was a lie in the end. Not only that, he was quite chummy with some of the other classmates, particularly Rantaro.
With how close Kokichi was with Rantaro, Shuichi felt like he had no chance with the supreme leader. So, he chose to watch him from afar.
He could deal with it. He could keep his emotions in check. He could make sure he doesn’t get too jealous whenever Kokichi hung out with Rantaro.
But, just how much could he take before it all blew up in his face?
💜💜💜💜
Everyone had decided to hang out in Kaede’s lab one day, playing board and card games while Kaede played on the piano.
“Aaaaaaaargh, this game sucks!” Miu flipped over the Monopoly board in anger. “Let’s play something else!” she barked out.
“Alright, then. What do you suggest?” Korekiyo asked.
Shuichi grabbed for his glass of water as a devious grin spread across Miu’s lips.
“Let’s play Fuck, Marry, or Kill.” she suggested.
“H-Huh?!” Keebo gawked at her in shock. “Why that game?!” he asked.
“Why not?!” she looked at Keebo, who was sitting beside Shuichi. “What, you chicken?” she teased.
“I...! I’m not a chicken!” Keebo exclaimed.
“Maaaaaan, you sure are dumb, you good-for-nothing slut!”
Shuichi tensed as he felt Kokichi press his chest against his back, his arms slinging themselves over Shuichi’s shoulders as he pressed his cheek to the side of his head. His heart skipped a beat as Kokichi sighed, his breath hitting the shell of his ear.
“Keebaby can’t be a robot and a chicken at the same time! Oh wait, I guess he can. We’d all just call him Robo-Chicken, then!” Kokichi chirped.
“That is seriously robophobic, Ouma-kun!” Keebo complained.
Kokichi let out his signature ‘nishishi’.
“Maaaaaaaan, you seriously need to learn how to have more fun, Keebaby! Or is that something robots can’t do?” he asked.
“Guh...! Stop bullying me!” Keebo whined.
“Ouma-kun, maybe you can tone down the comments a little?” Shuichi suggested.
“Noooooooope~!” Kokichi chirped before releasing him and skipping over to Rantaro, who was playing Jenga with Himiko and Tenko.
Shuichi swallowed as he watched Kokichi tackle Rantaro from behind, causing him to tip forward and knock down the Jenga tower.
He wished that Kokichi stayed with him for just a little longer.
Tenko began scolding Rantaro for knocking down the tower, calling him a “degenerate avocado” as he apologized for knocking the tower down. Kokichi giggled, slinging his arms over Rantaro’s shoulders and pressing his cheek to the side of his head. The action caused Shuichi to bite his lip, jealousy bubbling up inside of him.
You just did that to me and now you’re doing it with him, he thought to himself.
“Oi! Shittyhara!” Miu snapped her fingers in his face, pulling him out of his thoughts. “You game or what?!” she asked.
“Huh? Ah...I guess I am...” Shuichi trailed off.
“Keh, seems like you’ve got guts every once in a while.” she commented.
“What is that supposed to mean...?” Shuichi mumbled as Miu stood, cupping her hands around her mouth.
“Hey, losers! Listen up! We’re gonna play some good old Fuck, Marry, or Kill!” she hollered.
“Heh?! What kind of game is that?!” Gonta exclaimed in horror.
“A fun one! Now then, let’s tweak it a bit. We’re gonna do Fuck, Kill, Marry, or Pass!” Miu looked over at Kirumi. “Oi, Toujou! Write everyone’s names on some slips of paper! Do four for each person!” she said.
“I’ll get to work on it right away.” she said as she went to get a pen and some pieces of paper.
“Everyone come sit over here!” Miu hollered.
“I wanna keep playing the piano, though...” Kaede trailed off.
“Then, keep playing it, Bakamatsu!” Miu barked out.
“O-Okay!” Kaede responded as she began to play another song.
Everyone came over to where Miu, Shuichi, Keebo, and Korekiyo were. Shuichi watched as Kokichi plopped down beside Rantaro.
There he goes again, acting all close with Amami-kun, he thought to himself.
He felt the jealousy continue to bubble up as Kirumi finished with the slips of paper and threw them into a plastic bowl.
“I have finished with the papers.” she said, handing the bowl to Miu.
“Good! Now, the rules are simple. One person will go at a time. They will draw a slip of paper out from the bowl and unfold it to see who they got. Then, they will tell us whether they would fuck, kill, pass, or marry that person. After they do that, the next person is selected and we go through the same thing again.” Miu explained.
“Ah! That sounds simple enough!” Tenko declared.
“Nyeh...I kinda don’t wanna do this...” Himiko mumbled tiredly.
“Come on, Yumeno-san! Tenko thinks it’ll be fun!” Tenko chirped.
Himiko sighed.
“Whatever...” she trailed off.
“Alright! Who would like to go first?” Miu asked as she waved the bowl around.
“I’ll take it.” Korekiyo spoke up, snatching the bowl from her.
He reached into the bowl and pulled out a slip of paper, unfolding it.
“Oh my. The person I got is Yonaga-san.” he began to think. “Hm...if I had to choose, I would say kill.” he said.
“Ohoh? And why would you want to kill Angie?” Angie asked as she played with her ponytail.
“Quite frankly, you are really annoying and I would like nothing more than for you to shut up...permanently.” Korekiyo explained.
“Is that so! Well, I hope that once you accomplish that, Atua punishes you accordingly!” Angie chirped.
“Wait, wait, hold on a minute! Why in the world are you okay with that?!” Tenko screeched.
“Because I know Atua will be there with me, even in the afterlife!” Angie replied.
“Gosh, you are so weird!” Tenko exclaimed as Korekiyo handed the bowl to Tsumugi.
“Oh, it’s my turn.” she reached in and pulled out a slip of paper. “Ah, I got Akamatsu-san!” she chirped.
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she spoke.
“Hm...I would have to say marry, if I’m being honest.” she said.
“What?!” Kaede slammed down on the keys a little harder than she intended to. “You would marry me?!” she exclaimed in surprise.
“I would, yeah! I mean, I think you’d make a perfect housewife!” Tsumugi said.
“I...I don’t swing that way, though!” Kaede exclaimed.
Tsumugi giggled.
“I know you don’t. It’s just a joke.” she said.
“Alright! Lemme see that bowl!” Miu hollered as she snatched the bowl from her. She stuck her hand into the bowl and pulled out a slip of paper. She unfolded it and a grin spread across her lips.
“Oh, I like this one! I got Keebo!” she declared.
“Huh?! Me?!” Keebo exclaimed in shock.
“Yeah, you! Now, the answer is quite obvious: I would defs fuck him!” she said.
“Wh-What?!” Keebo squawked.
“Oh my.” Korekiyo remarked.
“Oh great. She’s at it again.” Kokichi drawled, twirling some hair around his finger as Miu began to drool.
“I mean, Keebo is pretty darn attractive! Plus, having sex with a robot is something you don’t get to do often! Imagine what could happen if I do...” she trailed off.
“Uwaaaaaaah! I...Iruma-san, you’re scaring me!” Keebo exclaimed.
“Ugh, keep your damn trap shut, you good for nothing cum dumpster! None of us want to know about your disgusting sexual fantasies involving robots!” Kokichi barked out.
Miu squealed, writhing about in her seat as Ryoma sighed.
“I’ll go next.” he said as he took the bowl.
They continued playing for about half an hour. When it was Shuichi’s turn, he had said that he would kill Tsumugi (“You just seem like someone who would try and cook up evil, so before you cause trouble, I’ll get rid of you,” was his response when she demanded that he tell her why he would kill her) before giving the bowl to Kaede.
The bowl eventually landed in Kokichi’s lap.
“It’s my turn now~!” he chirped as he stuck his hand into the bowl.
He moved his hand around in it for a bit, a grin spreading across his lips.
“Oi! Cut it out with the suspense already and pull one out!” Miu snapped.
“Shut it, you dumb bimbo!” Kokichi snapped back as he pulled a piece of paper out and unfolded it.
Shuichi watched him as Kokichi smiled.
“I got Amami-chan!” he chirped.
“Oh, me?” Rantaro questioned in surprise.
“Yup! Ah, this one’s gonna be hard...” he trailed off.
As he tapped his finger against his chin, Shuichi began to think.
Please say pass, please say pass, please say pass, he silently prayed.
“Okay, I think I’m gonna say fuck!” Kokichi declared.
Shuichi could only watch him in surprise as Rantaro spoke, a bewildered look on his face.
“You would really want to do that with me?” Rantaro chuckled. “You’re like a little brother to me, though.” he pointed out.
“Heh?! I can’t?! But...” Kokichi pressed himself against Rantaro. “You’re really attractive, Amami-chan. I’m pretty sure some people would kill just to get a piece of you. I mean, you’ve got such a pretty face, beautiful eyes, killer piercings, and really nice lips...” Kokichi trailed off.
Shuichi’s hands clenched into fists as he watched Kokichi and Rantaro interact. He barely registered hearing Kaito ask him if he was okay as his jealousy threatened to rear its ugly head.
If he was being quite frank, watching them interact was becoming very annoying.
“Hey, Ouma-kun?” he called out.
“Hm?” Kokichi hummed out in response.
“If you’re done, can we move on to the next person?” he requested, his eyebrow twitching.
“Alright then~!” Kokichi singsonged before dropping the bowl in Rantaro’s lap.
Shuichi lowered his gaze to the ground as various thoughts swirled about in his mind.
Oh my god, was I actually about to let my jealousy get the better of me? Come on, Shuichi! You’re supposed to be more composed than this, he scolded himself.
After Rantaro went, they started over again. Sooner or later, the bowl was given to Kokichi.
“My turn again~!” he declared as he stuck his hand in and pulled out a slip of paper.
He unfolded it and a mischievous look washed over his face.
“Ohoh? I got Saihara-chan!” he exclaimed.
Shuichi’s heart leapt at the sound of his name.
He got me? I wonder what he’s going to pick, he wondered to himself.
“Hm...I think I’ll pass~” he said.
Shuichi eyed Kokichi in surprise.
Huh?
“What?! Pass?!” Miu exclaimed.
“Gosh, clean your ears out, you nasty pig! I said pass! I ain’t gonna repeat myself again!” Kokichi snapped.
“Pass, huh...” Shuichi muttered under his breath.
I’m not someone he’d marry, kill, or do it with...I’m a total pass entirely, he thought to himself.
He watched as Kokichi handed the bowl to Rantaro, giggling as their hands brushed.
I knew it. I don’t have a chance with him. He looks like he’s more interested in Amami-kun, anyway, he thought to himself.
“I’m gonna step out for a bit.” he muttered out before standing up and heading out of the room.
He pretended that he didn’t hear Kaito calling out to him as he stepped out and closed the door behind him.
💜💜💜💜
Shuichi found himself seated at one of the benches under the flower-covered trellis outside.
“Oh gosh, I feel like an idiot...” he muttered.
“Is that so? Then, may I tell you about something that may be of interest to you?”
Shuichi’s eyebrows furrowed as he looked to see Monobear standing beside him.
“Monobear...” he trailed off.
“Upupupu~! It is indeed me, your beloved headmaster! Now, to the matter at hand...” the monochromatic bear pulled out a circular object. “Take it!” it said, shoving it into Shuichi’s hands.
“What the...?! What in the world did you give me?!” Shuichi asked.
“Oh, it’s just a little gift from me to you.” Monobear replied.
Shuichi looked down and saw that it was sticker with Monobear on it along with the words, “I’m sorry, I was born stupid,” written in hot pink letters. His eyebrow twitched as he reread the sentence on the sticker.
This blasted bear...! He’s mocking me, he thought to himself.
“I don’t need this! Take it back!” Shuichi snapped angrily, turning to face Monobear.
However, Monobear had already left. Shuichi gritted his teeth, crushing the sticker in his hand as he stood up.
“God fricking...!” he growled out as he chucked the sticker into the distance.
He released a loud sigh as he dropped back down onto the bench, resting his head on the table.
I’m so pathetic, he thought to himself.
He felt something poking at his shoulder.
“Go away, Monobear...” he mumbled.
His shoulder was poked at again.
“I said go away.” he said.
The poking at his shoulder became more persistent. Shuichi’s eyebrow twitched.
Can’t that stupid bear take a hint, he asked himself.
“What did I tell you?! Leave me alone, you annoying bear!” he snapped as he shrugged them off and stood up from his seat, whirling around to face the bear so that he could show him what for.
Instead, he came face to face with a slightly taken aback Kokichi. His breath caught in his throat as he watched the supreme leader slowly withdraw his hand.
“Ah...Ouma-kun...” he reached up to tug down on the brim of his cap. “Sorry for shrugging you off like that...I’m sure I must’ve surprised you like that...” he murmured.
“Oh no, I wasn’t surprised by your sudden outburst, so you’re fine. However!” Kokichi pointed an accusatory finger at the detective. “You should apologize for calling me Monobear! I’m nothing like that obnoxious bear!” he snapped.
“Ah! I’m sorry for calling you Monobear!” Shuichi exclaimed.
“Geeeeeeeeez, Saihara-chan!” Kokichi crossed his arms over his chest, puffing his cheeks out in a pout. “You offend me.” he said.
“I told you that I’m sorry...” he dropped his hand down to his side. “Anyway, what are you doing out here?” he asked.
“I came out here for a stroll.” Kokichi replied.
“That sounds like a lie.” Shuichi deadpanned.
“Nishishi~! You totally got me! That was indeed a lie!” Kokichi declared.
Shuichi’s heart raced as Kokichi took a step towards him, leaning forward so that he was up in his face.
“You see, I came to find you because you looked all glum and stuff.” he said.
“Ah...I see...” Shuichi trailed off, his cheeks growing warm.
He sat back down on the bench, hoping that the blush would go away as Kokichi sat down beside him, a wide grin on his face.
“So? What’s got you down? You stepped out shortly after my turn in the game.” Kokichi asked.
“I just wanted to get some fresh air.” Shuichi replied.
“Fresh air, huh...” Kokichi trailed off.
He reached up to twirl some hair around his finger, swinging his legs back and forth.
“Nice try, Saihara-chan, but that was one terrible lie.” he looked over at Shuichi. “Care to tell me the real reason why? Or should I guess for you?” he asked.
Shuichi stayed silent, lowering his gaze to his lap.
“Okay, I’m gonna take a guess. You got all butthurt over what I said earlier in the room about how I would pass on you. Now, if that’s what it was, I’m sorry if I offended you. I didn’t mean for it to come off as mean.” Kokichi apologized.
“That...that’s not what it is...” Shuichi mumbled.
“Hm? Then, what exactly is it?” Kokichi asked.
“It’s nothing! You don’t need to worry about it! Just...go back and hang out with Amami-kun or something...” Shuichi trailed off.
“Hm? I can’t exactly do that, especially since you said something that interests me.” Kokichi blinked up at him. “You could’ve told me to go back and hang out with the others, but you specifically said Amami-chan’s name.” he commented.
Shuichi felt his breath catch in his throat. Oh shit.
Did I really say that, he began to mentally panic as Kokichi continued.
“So, this leads me to think that there’s something bigger going on here. Care to enlighten me, Saihara-chan?” he asked.
“I...” Shuichi trailed off.
Shuichi jumped as he felt Kokichi place his hand on his leg.
“You can tell me. I don’t plan on going around and telling everyone.” Kokichi said.
“That sounds like a lie.” Shuichi commented.
“I can tell you right now that it’s not, I swear on my top secret organization.” Shuichi glanced out of the corner, watching as Kokichi imitated zipping his mouth shut, locking it, and throwing away the key. “Promise.” he said.
Shuichi looked away, sighing.
“It’s just...I’m irritated.” he said.
“Irritated? About what?” Kokichi asked.
“Just...things.” Shuichi replied.
“Things? Like, what kind of things?”
“I told you already. Just things.”
Kokichi’s brows furrowed.
“That’s not helping. You need to be more specific.” he said.
“I don’t want to be more specific, though!” Shuichi complained.
“Well, I can’t figure out what’s up if you don’t tell me!” Kokichi pointed out.
“It’s just...irritating! I don’t like how close you are with Amami-kun!” Shuichi exclaimed.
Kokichi blinked his eyes twice.
“Oh?” he said.
“Actually...I don’t like it when you two interact! I wish you would stop talking and clinging onto him so much!” Shuichi said.
“Why’s that, Saihara-chan?” Kokichi asked.
“It’s because I—“ Shuichi drew in a sharp gasp once he realized what he was about to say.
Kokichi tilted his head to the side, eyeing him curiously.
“It’s because you...?” Kokichi trailed off.
Shuichi’s hands flew over his mouth.
Oh my god, was I seriously about to tell him that I love him?! What is wrong with me, he asked himself.
“Just forget I said anything!” Shuichi snapped as he stood up from his seat and he began to walk to the dormitory.
“Huh?! When you put it like that, I don’t think I can!” Kokichi stood up, as well. “Tell me, Saihara-chan!” he shouted.
“I told you to just forget I said anything!” Shuichi shouted back.
He pushed the door open and began to make his way over to his room.
If he stayed out any longer, he feared that his feelings were going to overtake him and spill out.
He needed to get away.
He fumbled for his keys as the door opened.
“Mister Shuichi Saihara, you are NOT going to get away from me!” Kokichi marched over to him and grabbed his arm, whirling Shuichi around. “If you think you can just walk off after saying something like that, you are terribly mistaken, Mister Detective!” Kokichi snapped, jabbing his index finger into Shuichi’s chest.
Shuichi swallowed as Kokichi continued, his eyes trained on the supreme leader’s lips all the while.
“It’s rare for you to be so demanding! Telling me that I should stop talking and getting close with Amami-chan? I mean, I can hang out with whoever I feel like hanging out with and I can get close to whoever I feel like wanting to get close to, but if it’s bothering you so much that you feel the need to say those things to me, then I would at least like to know why.” Kokichi stared at Shuichi. “Why does it bother you so mu—“
Shuichi felt his emotions spill out as he reached out towards Kokichi, grabbing him by the cheeks and pulling him into a kiss. He could feel Kokichi gasp against his lips as he kissed him, the world beginning to melt away.
He pulled away from the kiss a few minutes later, watching the dumbfounded look that washed over Kokichi’s face.
“Saihara-chan—“
“It’s because I like you, Ouma-kun! Actually, saying that I like you is just putting it lightly. I am head over heels, totally in love with you. The reason why I don’t want you to hang around Amami-kun is because I get jealous! I want you to hang out with me and only me...” his cheeks burned in embarrassment as he tugged the brim of his cap down to hide his face from view. “Gosh, I don’t even know why I’m confessing to you when I know I don’t have a chance with you. It’s obvious by the way you act that you like Amami-kun, anywa—“
“Stop talking.”
“Huh?” Shuichi slowly lifted his gaze upward. “Ouma-ku—“ that was when he was backed up against the door to his room, Kokichi grabbing for his face and closing the distance between them.
Shuichi’s eyes widened as their lips came together in a kiss. Kokichi pressed himself against him, letting his fingers slip into Shuichi’s locks. Shuichi sighed against his lips, eyes fluttering shut as he kissed back.
Kokichi’s tongue slithered out and he licked at Shuichi’s lips. Before Shuichi could part his lips to let Kokichi slip his tongue inside, the supreme leader pulled away.
“Saihara-chan, you’re quite funny.” he commented.
“Huh? What do you mean?” Shuichi asked.
“You said that you feel like you have no chance with me. I find it very amusing that you think so.” Kokichi threw his hands onto his hips. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you to finally make a move on me?” he asked.
“I don’t know, how long exac—wait a minute.” Shuichi blinked his eyes. “What did you just say?” he asked.
“I asked if you knew how long I’ve been waiting for you to finally make a move on me.” Kokichi sighed. “Do I really need to spell it out for you? I feel the same way about you.” he said.
“You...feel the same way...” Shuichi trailed off.
“Yes, I do. I only got close to Amami-kun to push you to act.” Kokichi explained.
“Wait, so you knew that I had feelings for you all this time?!” Shuichi exclaimed in shock.
“Yeah, I did!” Kokichi replied.
“Then...why didn’t you say anything if you like me, too?!” Shuichi asked.
“That’s because I wanted to hear it from you first! Besides...being the first one to confess is so not my style...” Kokichi mumbled as he reached up to twirl some hair around his fingers, his cheeks slowly taking on a pink hue.
Shuichi watched Kokichi for a couple of minutes before bursting into laughter.
“O-Oi! Don’t laugh at me! It’s not funny!” Kokichi complained, the blush on his cheeks deepening.
The supreme leader poured as Shuichi’s laughter began to die down.
“I’m sorry...it’s just that that’s so you, Ouma-kun...” Shuichi trailed off.
“Ah! There’s no need for you to call me that anymore! Seeing as we’re dating now, I think we should start calling each other by our first names.” Kokichi looked up at Shuichi. “What do you think?” he suggested.
“Yeah...” Shuichi murmured.
“You go first.” Kokichi said.
“Okay...uh...” Shuichi swallowed, noting how Kokichi was watching him expectantly. “Ko...Kokichi...” he mumbled out.
Kokichi stated at him with a blank expression, his face giving away zero emotion. He then watched as Kokichi lowered his gaze.
“That...actually sounds nice...” he murmured.
“Okay, I said it. It’s your turn now.” Shuichi said.
“Okay...” Kokichi tugged at the hem of his shirt. “Shu...” he trailed off.
Kokichi glanced up at Shuichi, their eyes meeting for a split second before he lowered his gaze again.
“Shu...Shui...” Shuichi noticed how Kokichi’s cheeks were beginning to turn red. “Shuu-chan...” he trailed off.
He looked up at him.
“Shuu-chan.” Kokichi repeated.
“That’s cheating. You didn’t even say my full name.” Shuichi stated bluntly.
“I can’t help it, okay?! It’s just...I’ve never had to do something like that before...” the blush on his cheeks deepened. “It’s going to take me a while before I can actually say it...” Kokichi trailed off.
“Okay. Then, we can take it slow. You can call me that and I’ll call you by a shortened version of your name, as well. Once you’re ready, I’ll start calling you by your name.” Shuichi said.
“Alright. What do you plan on calling me, Shuu-chan?” Kokichi asked.
“Hm...how about Kichi?” Shuichi suggested.
“I like that. So, you can call me that and I’ll call you Shuu-chan.” Kokichi said.
“Deal.” Shuichi pulled Kokichi close to him. “I love you, Kichi.” he said.
Kokichi smiled.
“I do too, Shuu-chan.” he replied as Shuichi closed the distance between them again, letting the world melt away and losing himself in Shuichi.
