[HE/HIM] is a/an [20] year old [CIS MALE PUREBLOOD]. they live in [LONDON], but they’re originally from [LONDON]. they are best known for being a/an [ASSISTANT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES], and i hear they’re pretty [DIRECT] yet also [CYNICAL] at times; i hope they continue to heal. Species or Blood Status: Wizard/Pureblood. Zach had no doubt in his lineage. Any time anything happens, his parents never fail to bring up their ancestors. The mantle over the fireplace consists of magical and familial artifacts. “Poor Hepzibah,” they’d say, shaking their head and straighten one of her ancient knick-knacks.

Loyalty: He joined the Death Eaters for a brief moment in the War. There was no way that Harry Potter could win, a simple and irresponsible boy. Previous Hogwarts/Alternate School House: All of his family members (except twin sister Sally Smith) was sorted into Hufflepuff. Coming from a long line of Hufflepuff’s and even a direct decedent of Helga Hufflepuff herself, Zach may have not been a typical badger and at times hated his house. Like Sally, he thought he might have been a Slytherin, too. It only made sense and the more that people talked about how he didn’t fit the mold for the yellow and black house ( “what a sour fucking attitude”), so naturally it just felt like he didn’t belong there. It was only when he had finally left Hogwarts that Zach felt he truly did perhaps belong In Hufflepuff.

Describe one memory: In third year, Jezebel tried out for the Quidditch Team with him. During a paired assignment in Potions, she whispered idly under her breath she was thinking about trying for Chaser. Zach’s lips twitched, scoffing out a laugh as he shook his head and Jezebel gently touched his wrist. “What?” “I was thinking about going for Chaser, too.” “Well,” she glanced around the room on the lookout for Snape. When she spotted him harassing a pair of Ravenclaws at the far corner of the classroom, she quirked a smile of her own at Zach. “Looks like I’ve got some competition.” When they both made it on the team, Zach had suggested they practice together after dinner every other night. He had crouched down, approaching her from behind in the Great Hall, whispering close to her ear. She started to smile even before he had finished the question, turning to look at him. He felt her breath on his face when she accepted the offer, “I thought you’d never ask.” After their first win in a match in April, she bumped her arm into Zach’s sweaty side. “We should celebrate.” Her eyes were wide and flirty, and in all of Zach’s thirteen years, she made his heart stutter. Skip a beat. Made the blush on his cheeks rush to his ears, lower tummy, and toes. He did not think twice about kissing her under the bleachers, the smell of sweat, grass and her invading all of his young senses. His first kiss. In the distance, a wolf howled.

Describe their life from the Wars ending: It hasn’t been easy, but Zach is just trying to piece his life back together. Mostly, he is just trying to lie low in the small flat he managed to snag in London. The tattoo on his arm has long since faded and he hides the mark whenever he can. He’s one of the lucky ones, able to keep his wand from the mistakes he made just a few years ago ( he never killed anyone and he guesses he has Potter to thank for being able to keep such an intimate part of himself ). It’s hard not to think about the mistakes and the sacrifices that he had made, but it’s the small victories, he’s learned, that matters the most. It was grueling work nailing a job in the Department of Mysteries, let alone inside the Ministry of Magic. Almost like community service, Zach has to pick up the pieces of the skeleton-like Ministry and his work is never over. He’s continuing the constant battle trying to prove himself; of his worth, of his position and of his loyalty. All Zacharias is really hoping is to leave his past there. In the past.
